One of the must visit museum in Berlin. It's very famous museum in Berlin. 1 day will be enough for seeing whole museum. Museum hosts details about technology used in all the aspects of the life. There are so many small experiments you can perform in the museum which helps you understand the technology. You can see the earliest stages of computer which are very huge and occupy size of big room.

If you are a transport enthusiast, then this place is a must see. A worthwhile visit, even without the English explanations, because there is just so much to see (Most of the explanations are in German, but some parts have English translations). Everything from gigantic steam trains (one of the trains has space so you can go below it) to small machinery for jewelry making. Computers, textiles, pharmaceuticals. There are huge boats, real planes and even a wind turbine blade (which is unbelievably huge).Entrance ticket is 8 euro (if I remember correctly). Audio guides for main building exhibits are paid for when buying tickets as they are not included in the ticket price. Wheelchair/buggy accessible, but food/drink/backpacks are not allowed in the exhibit areas. There is a cloakroom (free) and storage lockers available inside.Overall, great exhibits! You could easily spend a day here so, make sure to spare plenty of time

I went specifically to see the aircraft exhibits and was not disappointed. Sadly only some of the exhibits had an English description and I would have liked to understand more of the history. There’s also absolutely loads to see with the renovated train sheds and turntables and lots of great stuff to see but again a lack of English descriptions put me at a disadvantage. Then there’s the cars hall and lots of other stuff too. Very interesting

Best museum for transport and technology fans. Entry is not burden on pocket. Massive new building with an aeroplane at top and spread half in old building. Lovely display of trains in roundhouse from locomotive to imperial carriage and between. Great visit for science and technology fans as plenty of stuff is waiting for them. Spent very nice time there. Worth to visit

Huge museum. Lots to see - indoor and outdoor, over several floors. I like how the museum is divided up by sections. If you like science, technology, or even history, this is a great place for you. Tickets are inexpensive. There's a large cafe/restaurant attached, as well, and the food is good. When you're done at this museum, head over to the hands-on Science Center Spectrum - only for real science nerds!

If you buy your tickets online you do not need to wait in the ticket line: currently the tickets cost 8 Euros per person. From locomotives to ships, from planes to cars, gadgets, tools, and everything about technique and technology throughout centuries. A lot of small experiments and educational arrangements for kids. I especially liked the amazing ship models. Just an hour won’t be enough to discover the whole place. Each floor is focused on something else. Absolutely recommended if you’re visiting Berlin.

A large museum. I wasn't expecting to have such a big surface to visit. The museum consists in other external buildings as well and during autumn / winter you might think taking tge coat with you. Although the place is not that big to host large planes or ships but it's impressive anyway. There are some interactions for kids as well but I would recommend to implement more of that.

This is a must visit museum for all technology and locomotives enthusiasts. There are multi generation trains, boats and planes in display. It also has good collection of electronic and computer models. It would take almost a day to cover most of the exhibits. Me and family had amazing time here. Hope you will also feel the same after visiting the place.

There are literally thousands and thousands of items in this fabulous museum to see. We asked the guide how long should we stay in the museum, "3 hours at least" she said. We stayed the whole day, and I can say we didn't visit even half of it. I would suggest doing a bit of research before heading to museum. It is great, we enjoyed every minute of it. Highly recommended!

The area of the museum is really huge! Pros: - cool and interesting tech section, where you can see first computers - big trains hangar, really huge number of trains from different decade - more than 3 floors of ships - one of the greatest museum shop I ever seen Cons: - a lot of exhibition stuff hadn’t worked and was “under renovation.” - I suppose that any other world museums have more aircraft in his arsenal. I expected to see more - they have a lot of special activities at a particular time, but again most of them hadn’t been working

Very cool museum with a looooooot to see. Don't underestimate the size of it. We started at 11am and at 4pm we still had to rush through the museum. It has so many nice exhibitions, take good shoes with you, because you will need it. The locomotive and airplane collection is just amazing!

The museum shows the history of transportation like aircrafts, trains, spaceships and engines. It is very cozy located with a nice and clean environment. I really enjoyed the stay and got lots of interesting information. Sad thing was that many information screens were out of service and some parts of the museum were closed. Over all a nice place for families and technology fans.

Paid full price for only 1/3 open. Over half of it closed due to corona or out of order...ropes blocking off to where you can't even walk up to the train to peer inside. Windmills are broke, outside grounds are overgrown and not taken care of. Most of the new building is replica model ships. You can see mainly some trains, a few planes and boats. What you can see, is great and definitely worth seeing...but wait until they open all the floors. Shutting off floor upon floor is too much. The museum has a lot of potential.

Fantastic interactive museum of huge size. Take at least 3hours to visit all the floors and exteriors properly. Information in German and a bit in English (not enough though). Well worth its price. Free for under 18 years old, students 4€ and regular adults 8€. You can also get groups tickets when more than 10 people. Great place to go with pupils, everyone should be able to find something of their interest. Real-sized models of boats, impressive locomotives.

Simply an amazing museum in every single aspect. The variety of technological areas covered across ample historical spans, the remarkable quality of the pieces and the tastefulness of the displays just to mention a few of the museums highlights. Even the restaurant offers very decent meals compared to other similar places.

I enjoyed this museum a lot. It is divided into 2 sections: the old and the new building. Sadly, a large chunk of the old building is being renovated so i only got to see the textile exhibition. The new building however, was great. It has 4 floors and mainly focuses on sailing and aviation. But there is one more thing i must mention. On the 4th floor, there is a balcony you can go to, which has an amazing view of the city. Make sure you find it and enjoy the view.

If you are interested in technology, do not miss the opportunity to visit the museum. There's plenty for everyone to see here, from kids to engineers to tech enthusiasts. There are huge collections of textile machines, computers, boats, trains and planes from different periods. Walking through the corridors, you will feel like you are walking through time. It would be nice to have a drink in the cafe at the end of the visit. You will need a lot of time to visit this place, so make sure you organize your agenda well.

It's a huge museum with many things to learn and see. Entrance fee is reasonable. I'd recommend you to spare at least 4 hours if you really want to see everything in this museum. One down side: many of the descriptions are in German only

The museum is totally interesting and there is a lot to marvel at ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Unfortunately it was no longer possible we only saw them from below which is also interesting but not for 5 year olds ?. Unfortunately, a part was also closed due to renovation. Otherwise great exhibition. (Translated by Google) A museum that can be recommended for EVERYONE: for technology freaks anyway, but also for everyone who is interested in how something works. No matter whether young or old - everyone will find something here. How does an optical illusion work? You can see that in the spectrum! What is a fieseler (NOT nasty) stork? You can see it in the entrance hall, there it is hanging on the ceiling! Just like a raisin bomber is hung outside the facade facing the Landwehr Canal. And how did the horses get into their stable on the 2nd floor in the rear building earlier? This is NOT a joke question, the horses actually used to have their stables in the rear building, where the museum rooms are now, on the upper floors! The answer is simple: via the spiral horse staircase that has been preserved and can be viewed and used. A visit is simply recommended! In addition to my affinity for technology, what connects me with the Technology Museum is the fact that a good 40 years ago we did the structural planning for the first three construction phases for the Museum of Transport and Technology, which is the forerunner of the current museum.

Loved the experience! From old (WWII as well as pre- and post-WWII) planes to iconic ship parts and even historical train carriages and/or engines! You ask for it and the Deutsches Technik Museum has it! Simply loved how the museum preserves these small and big pieves of history alike. One will simply need a whole day to tour the main museum as well as the "Spectrum" part of the museum! The tickets are free for any "Schüler" ab 15:00 Uhr so that's a nice part too! The staff was also quite helpful - there's a restaurant and a big shop inside the museum too!

A great and super interesting museum. I found it suitable for all kind of group of people. One day we spent in one building, 4 floors. History and evolution of ship and aircraft manufacturers and more. There are many interesting and beautiful models. There are other parts of museum that we were not able to manage. You definitely need more than 1 day to visit it all. One of my favourite and best museum in Berlin.

A very interesting museum over a large site. The engine sheds focus mostly on trains from the first one all the way to the new U Bahn. Some engines you can climb stairs and see inside. The old building deals with tools, computers, communication equipment , textiles and printing. There are some really interesting televisions in here. The new building focuses mostly on ships and aeroplanes. There are hundreds of models of ships to look at and some great planes on the top floor. On the roof you can walk out and take in the view next to an old plane suspended over the side of the building. There is another section that had jewellery and suitcase manufacturing. There were more sections but they were closed. There are numerous WC around the museum she a cafe by the exit. To see everything i would say allow around 4 hours. There is a lot to see and read about.

First thing: get you DAILY tickets online. Will save you a ton of time at the cashier. The museum is spilt into two buildings: the main one (new) houses the planes, trains and boats exhibition, the robotics lab (great experience!) and much more. The other one (old) houses the science spectrum activities (great for kids), the automobile exhibition and special exhibitions (we saw one on the network - the data that connects us; and one on the dangers of high speed on the road). We had only had 2.5 hours which is WAY TOO LITTLE - the place requires at least 4 hours to properly explore and enjoy the place and activities. There is an on-site restaurant which offers really nice dishes at reasonable prices. Highly recommended, for both young (our youngest member was 5) and old.

Wonderful Museum in Berlins Center. Excellent for young and old visitors. It takes some time to discover the massive amount of technic history. Planes, ships, locomotives or the first series computer from Konrad Zuse. Additional the museum offers temporary exhibitions and a good balance to keep every visitor entertained. Plan a full day to avoid that you might missed something. Especially the little details in the different sections make a visit to a great experience. Staff is friendly and well organized. The integrated restaurant and gift shop offer a good package. Price is for a family well balanced.

This place is like Disneyland for all those who like science and technology, and even for those who doesn't it's a great place to learn how to like it. From the first computers, to the evolution of airplanes and trains, there's so much to see it that it can that more than one day if you wish to see it all of it. The place is so amazing that's worth visiting just for the view of the outside area where you can even have a picnic! Great for kids ans adults likewise and quite cheap for all that it has to offer. My favorite museum in Berlin (I have visited it 3 times already). It's fairly accessible by train or subway and there's a good restaurant and café inside.

If you're interested in the history of technology, the technology museum in Berlin is definitely worth a visit. The museum is filled with fascinating exhibits covering everything from early computers to modern-day innovations, and there's something for everyone to enjoy. One of the highlights of the museum is the interactive exhibits, which allow visitors to get hands-on experience with various technologies. For example, you can try your hand at programming a robot or experiment with different types of renewable energy. The museum also offers guided tours and workshops, which are a great way to learn more about specific topics in depth. The staff is knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and they are always happy to answer questions. The only downside to the museum is that it can get quite crowded, especially on weekends and holidays. However, if you're able to visit during a quieter time, you'll be able to fully appreciate all that the museum has to offer. Overall, I highly recommend the technology museum in Berlin to anyone with an interest in technology and innovation. It's a fantastic museum with a lot to offer, and it's definitely worth a visit!

The Deutsches Technikmuseum is easily accessible via public transport, making it convenient to reach. The staff were welcoming and friendly, enhancing the overall experience. The ticket price was reasonable considering the extensive offerings across all three buildings, providing excellent value. The exhibits covering aviation, shipping, railways, automobiles, film technology, and more were both informative and engaging. Plus, the ticket's validity for all three buildings allowed for a comprehensive exploration. A worthwhile visit for its accessibility, friendly staff, and the breadth of fascinating exhibits, especially for those who are interested in technology and science, like myself. An extra tip for everyone: come here earlier than planned because you'll stay longer than imagined exploring everything.

Technical Museum offers an exciting journey through the world of technology and innovation. Despite a somewhat chaotic layout, the museum's diverse exhibits spanning transportation, communication, and industry provide an interesting and entertaining experience for all visitors. Notably, the museum's collection showcases a fascinating narrative of transportation evolution, from small boats to colossal cruise ships, and from the first wooden planes to modern marvels of aviation.

Such a cool museum! I wish we had more time. I went to check out the Thin Ice exhibit and was pleasantly surprised by the wide range of other, super rad exhibits. My boyfriend really enjoyed all the old cars they had on display, but both of our favorites was definitely the Thin Ice exhibit-- they have lots of items used in the artic expedition as well as an ice core you can touch! 😍🥶

A really attractive place not only for connoisseurs of the aviation topic but also for laymen who want to rub themselves with technological thought from the industrial age. The size of the exposure is stunning and makes a sense. It is a technical paradise for children and adult education. To touch the history and soak up the spirit of olden times, it is necessary to allocate there about 3 hours of wandering through the rich spectrum of historical exhibits.

W środku potężny zbiór maszyn, zwłaszcza samolotów z lat 30 i 40. This museum is worth spending a whole day with. It's very layered, perhaps too many exhibitions with very different curatorial criteria, and definitely not enough translations, but they posses great pieces in the collection.

Deutsches Technikmuseum Berlin, Germany is a museum of science and technology, and exhibits a large collection of historical technical artifacts. The museum's main emphasis originally was on rail transport, but today it also features exhibits of various sorts of industrial technology. In 2003, it opened both maritime and aviation exhibition halls in a newly built extension. The museum also contains a science center called Spectrum. The Museum of Traffic and Technology (Museum für Verkehr und Technik) was founded in 1982 and assumed the tradition of the Royal Museum of Traffic and Construction (Königliches Verkehrs- und Baumuseum) which was opened in the former Hamburger Bahnhof station building in 1906. The present-day museum is located on the former freight yard attached to the Anhalter Bahnhof in the Kreuzberg district of Berlin, including two historic roundhouses and several office buildings. Renamed Deutsches Technikmuseum in 1996, the exhibition area was gradually expanded. An adjacent new building complex was inaugurated in 2003, topped by a prominent US Air Force Douglas C-47B "Raisin Bomber", which can be seen with ease from the top of the Fernsehturm and formerly at Tempelhof Airport. An extensive railway collection opened in 1987/88 in the rebuilt 19th century roundhouses of the Anhalter Bahnhof locomotive depot (Bahnbetriebswerk) that had lain derelict for about 30 years. The 33 tracks illustrate the history of rail transport, including the deportations of Jews and others by the Deutsche Reichsbahn in the Holocaust. The exhibition also features a H0 scale model of the Anhalter Bahnhof track installations. A large aviation section beside the C-47 houses numerous aircraft from the single Jeannin Stahltaube to a Lufthansa Junkers Ju 52 and an Arado Ar 79. The museum addresses the flight enthusiasm of the early 20th century and its abuse in the German re-armament building up the Luftwaffe, documented by an Arado Ar 96, a wrecked Junkers Ju 87 Stuka dive bomber and the current restoration of a Focke-Wulf Fw 200 Condor as well as by one of three preserved Messerschmitt Bf 110, a Flak cannon, and a V-1 flying bomb built by Mittelbau-Dora concentration camp inmates at the Mittelwerk site. Post-war aircraft including a VFW-Fokker 614 and the Cessna 172P that Mathias Rust flew to the Moscow Red Square during the Cold War have also been added to the exhibition. The remains of Lancaster B III JA914 are displayed. This aircraft served with 57 Squadron as DX-O. It was shot down over Berlin in September 1943 and crashed into a lake opposite Zahrensdorf. On 15 May 2002, a special exhibition opened which featured the inventions of computer pioneer Konrad Zuse, including a replica of the Z1 and several other Zuse computers. The museum has two windmills (one German, one Dutch), a brewery, and a forge powered by a water wheel.

The spectrum part was really nice (I really loved how my students had fun and told each other about the stuff I thought then in physics class, it's so nice when they really understand stuff and can explain it to each other). I love propeller motors, they're so pretty and at the same time they allow humans to fly. For me this is where art meats mechanics.

(Translated by Google) Museum is definitely worth a visit. Be sure to study the map, the area is bigger than just the new house! Here you can see mainly ships and airplanes (and their development). It can quickly become uninteresting for children, as a lot is repeated (probably 50 miniature ship models, etc.) and some things to look at and participate in cannot be done due to Corona. We found it interesting anyway and will be back! Well presented exhibition. I liked especially paper making and print making departments through my profession, but also fabric industry part is compelling.

This museum was a blast! We only had about 3 hours and that was definitely not enough!! The museum is huuuuuge and it takes probabl more than a day to see absolutely everything 8 euros per person is definitely okay. But you have to book a time frame of check in. There is also a small playground area outside that my 5 yea old enjoyed.nothing fancy, just something to climb on and slide down from.

A massive museum filled with technology ranging from the 1800s till the 2000s. It is split into 3 major sections for trains, planes and ships. Spent a good 2 hours looking at everything and its well worth the €4 I payed for a student ticket.

A must go place... explains the evolution of technology in different areas such as aviation, shipping, arts, crafts, railways. You need at least 2-3 hours to fully explore this place, so have some food n coffee and prepare yourself the ultimate German technology evolution.

There were Very few people there when i visited. Big place, lot of room, not crowded with lot of stuff, easy to take in. I found the ship maketts a bit too much and boring. The museum closes at 5:30, and i didnt have time to visit the science/auto/network section :( When i visited, there were no demonstrations, it would have been cool to see the big engines steaming.

  • 5/5 Luigi Puno (. 2 years ago on Google
Really worth a visit, the place is huge and you could easily spend 2-3 hours+ here. Perfect for people who nerd out on historic planes, trains, and boats. Most things on display have English descriptions too. Definitely worth your time and the price of the ticket!

LOVE THIS MUSEUM! It has everything! So informative! Great for kids too! 🎉

  • 5/5 Melika G. 2 years ago on Google
What a cool museum to visit if you’re in Berlin. You will learn so much about the different types of transportation from airplanes to boats to trains. We were sad that the brewery was closed as well as some other features (due to covid) but the museum as a whole was such an incredible experience. I think the trains were my favourite to see and the top floor of the new building was the most informational for me. Mostly written in German with areas that has English descriptions as well. Maps of the museum was available in multiple languages (Russian, French, Spanish, English, German …). Worth a visit if you like to travel or like to learn about history and how things were made

  • 4/5 Thyago C. 2 years ago on Google
Interesting museum for adults and kids. Shows a bit of history and technologies related to ships, airplanes and body energy. Not very interactive, but nice to see. Spending 2h here is enough to see most of it.

Nice museum. Unfortunately many places are closed cause they do works and the time was not enough. It closed early. Also too many of locomotives in the first room. The shop of the souvenirs was very expensive too. Overall it was nice.

  • 5/5 Praveen M. 2 years ago on Google
The museum has entry free on first Sunday of November. We visited after lunch and could manage to see only a small portion of it. The exhibits are very nicely displayed and have English description also. The shipping section has miniatures also displayed. This is strongly recommended.

  • 4/5 Pilot P. 2 years ago on Google
The museum actually has a stunning collection of old steam locomotives, airplanes (first time I saw a real Me-162!) and beautiful ship models. Unfortunately, most of the hands-on experiences were closed off (covid?) and the lighting in the naval section was terrible (first time I stumbled a few times in the dark). Bottom line: impressive collection, but please have the defective light bulbs fixed!

It was ok. Expected a bit more. Especially on the aviation side. Stull worth a visit. Just not a lot of things to my personal interest. Some items were covered in plastic so couldn’t see it. They really have to put signs or markers to say that the floor has these blocks that stand out because both my husband and I fell over them.

  • 5/5 Hanie O. 2 years ago on Google
It was a really insteresting exhibition and a nice experience. The museum itself could demonstrate devolpment of the technology in different things. Plus it has benches and sits in between the halls so we could relax a bit during our almost 3 hours visit.

  • 5/5 Kerem S. 2 years ago on Google
We were there last Saturday. It was a very pleasant visit. The museum has very friendly staff. Exhibitions rooms are very nicely organised, full with very original technical and historical items. It is an educative and entertaining experience to visit it. You never get bored. We were there for 4 hours and we will visit it again.

  • 5/5 Ahmet P. 2 years ago on Google
Omg, it was a real experience. We just wanted to take a look with my friend but it took 2 hours although we skipped many things. If you are interested in technical things and their evolution, it's exactly for you.

I'm reducing a star just because of some of incompetent staff members that are not in one line with the rules of the place (one says one thing, another says another thing). Another issue was the food at the museums restaurant that was not fresh and caused stomach problems for me. The museum itself is very beautiful, a great place to visit with kids and a lot to see in one place at a fair price. It is a place that one can easily spend a few hours and enjoy the many levels and interactive parts of the exhibitions. However, due to Corona, some interactive parts were closed.

  • 5/5 Lily K. 2 years ago on Google
The best museum for technology I have ever seen. Right from the origin of German made computers to every field related to technology, this museum is worth visiting! A person on an average needs one whole day to carefully see all the displayed articles. I totally loved it and it was so much fun!

  • 4/5 Rachel S. 2 years ago on Google
Very interesting place! Lots of old airplanes, trains and historical ships. Unfortunately a couple exhibits were closed because of corona, but I was still very pleased. Lots of descriptions in both German and English. The museum looks small from the outside but it has a lot of buildings.

Amazing journey through history and how technology developed and still developing.. highly recommend. But make sure to wear comfy sneakers, it’s a very big museum ;)

  • 5/5 Henning D. 1 year ago on Google
Fun museum. First we went to one of their small buildings only to later find out that there was an even bigger main building as well. We were there for 1.5-2 hours but only managed to go through maybe 40-50% of the museum. Had we known of the size we would have considered allocating more time. We especially liked the train section with the massive ancient steam locomotives 🚂. We're probably going back there if we have some time over the next time we're in Berlin.

  • 5/5 Ameya A. 1 year ago on Google
It’s huge and fascinating. First of all, don’t visit this one just because you want to visit a museum. It covers a huge area with real and miniature models of trains, ships, planes etc. You need 3 hours to comfortably explore everything properly. There is plenty of space to sit and relax so make sure to bring some food with you.

I expected the museum to be slightly boring for me, but I loved it and so did my partner and son! I'm a biologist so usually I am into nature, so the sugar floor was exciting for me. It was such a cool spin to the topic of technology. Otherwise the trains exhibit was really cool because you saw their evolution over time. All of the exhibits were extremely well made, even the older ones, to educate and entertain. The new wing has a lot of cool interactive learning panels on multiple languages which is awesome. The sailing center was also super nice for kids to learn in. My 2 year old son had the best time running and learning all day in the museum. Three hours wasn't enough though to get to the science center too so we'll be back!

It's a perfect museum for technology lovers. I really enjoyed my time here. And there are many things to see here, I recommend to at least be ready to spend 4-5 hours here otherwise you'll miss out on so many worthy things. As it has a wide range of technologies from textiles, transmission, TV broadcasting, history of computers, aviation and ships and so on. They have the first prototype of many well known technologies.

  • 5/5 Polina N. 11 months ago on Google
One of the best museums we have ever visited! The planes, trains, ships as well as the stories behind! This museum deserves multiple visits as it is impossible to see everything during one visit - two or even three visits would allow you to enjoy it in full.

  • 5/5 Mister F. 10 months ago on Google
Great place that highlights the technological advancements in rail, air and sea travel extremely well. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of sea travel and how it has advanced over time...but I went for the planes and I loved every minute of it! They also have a fairly priced gift shop!

  • 5/5 Callum 11 months ago on Google
It's a wonderful place to visit - and I really enjoyed that it covers all aspect of technology, not just focusing on combustion engines and planes etc. Was wonderful to see the progression of consumer goods as well as transport, computing etc. I'd definitely have another visit and from I remember the ticket prices were good as well. Was easy to understand for a non-German speaker

Incredible museum. Too big to see all in one visit. All areas are interesting. Loved the computer section. The boats and airplanes are worth a long visit by themselves.

I recently visited the Technik Museum Berlin and had an amazing time! This place is a paradise for anyone interested in technology and engineering. The museum is huge and filled with all sorts of fascinating exhibits. From vintage cars and airplanes to steam engines and robots, there's something for everyone. I particularly enjoyed exploring the transportation section, where I got to see iconic vehicles from different eras up close. It was like stepping back in time! One of the highlights of my visit was the interactive displays. I had a blast trying out simulators and getting a hands-on experience with various machines. It was both educational and entertaining, especially for someone like me who loves to tinker with gadgets. The museum also offers a wide range of exhibitions that cover different aspects of technology and science. I found the space exploration section particularly intriguing, as it showcased models of rockets and explained the history of space exploration. It was a great opportunity to learn about significant scientific advancements. The staff at the museum were friendly and helpful. They provided useful information and answered all my questions. Their passion for technology was evident, and it added to the overall experience. The Technik Museum Berlin is well-organized, and there are clear signs and descriptions throughout the exhibits. It's easy to navigate and find your way around. The museum also has a café and gift shop, which is convenient for grabbing a snack or souvenir. Overall, my visit to the Technik Museum Berlin was fantastic. It's a fantastic place to explore the wonders of technology and engineering. Whether you're a tech enthusiast or just curious about how things work, I highly recommend paying a visit to this captivating museum.

Good place to learn about technology evolution. It's a little difficult to explore everywhere. 2 hours is enough to explore every place. But if you want to see everything and read the details it can take about 3 hours.

Great value for money. Plenty to see from trains to boats to planes and cars. Would have given it a 4.5. The only downside was that the cafe in the car part of the museum closed at 3 and had to go outside to eat.

One of the must visit museums in Berlin. I highly recommend it !! So much to explore, to see and learn. A minimum of a day is needed in this museum. Trains, ships , boats wooowww. There is so much cool stuff here. So much technology. Kids and adults enjoy the place alike.

Awesome experience. The place is enormous and there are cool things to see. From ancient locomotives to cold war planes, weird machines, and craftsmanship happening live while you walk the halls. Tickets are jusr 9€, well worth the money.

The history of air and sea navigation is displayed in all its stages and glory. From simple designs of wing like birds to jet engines we see all the incremental stages here. Same is for ships.

A really amazing museum. Besides the fact that it has a lot of exhibits, it is also very well-kept and clean. It takes a lot of time to see everything but it's worth it. You should definitely see and take a walk in the outdoor areas as well. Really great.

Excellent technical museum. Hard to compare to anything. There is a lot of opportunity to try the technical stuff. It's even nice for children. It's also very large. Expect at least 3 hours of you want to see everything. Highly recommend visiting.

Very good museum with big areas and various topics covered. There is a plenty of things to see and learn - railway, planes, ships, sugar… Balcony on 4th floor have amazing view of Berlin panorama and plane which hang. The railway model of whole Anhalter Bahnhof area looks really cool. In general very nice place to go with kids as well.

Great museum costing only €8 for adults. Four floors of interesting exhibits and displays, most of the description boards are only in German so be prepared to use Google translate if you need them in English. Allow four or five hours to get around, perfect for a rainy day.

  • 5/5 Xander S. 5 months ago on Google
Great museum to learn about diverse topics. They have a section on computers, telephones, trains, boats and even someone making paper on site. Though some sections are only in German, no English translation.

The German Museum of Technology is literally a stunning experience, both for children as well as for adults! A unique reflection of the entire industrial history! Vintage trains, boats, ships, aircraft, electronics, just name it! A very enjoyable experience not only for tech enthusiasts but for everyone!!!

This museum is quite huge and varied that you will probably need not one Museum Sunday but three or four museum Sundays. On our first visit we just saw the artefacts in the building which had ships, trains and flights. But the highlight for me was the sugar section which described the science and the history of sugar and the politics behind it in quite some detail - do check this section in the museum. Also we took the guide Kd tour at 3 pm in English. That was great too - we got an overall summary of the museum plus also got to visit the staircase for horses🐴. The restaurant inside the museum was great too. If you are new to Berlin this can be on the top 3 list of places to visit for anyone. Next time we visit it we are planning to go to the kids section

The best museum I’ve ever been to. There is even a 2nd museum next door. I came to this place a total of 4 times in 1.5 months. I don’t think I’ll ever do that at any other museum. READING the plaques makes the objects so much more interesting. It expertly depicts the marvel of technological progress.
