Nice food market, some reviews said it was too small and there was not much variety but if you visit on Street Food Thursdays there surely is something for everyone! We went a bit early around 17:45, and there was a vast selection of Italian, Mexican, Tibetan, Japanese, German and many other cuisines. Everything we tried was super good, plate prices varied between 8-10€ with around 2-3 items per plate. Recommend this place for anyone who likes authentic, handmade food and likes to try different cuisines. Going a bit earlier might be better to avoid the rush of people but the vibe is really nice too!

Let me get this out of the way up front: Markthalle Neun during Street Food Thursday is noisy and crowded and tables are hard to come by. If you're looking for a quiet out-of-the-way place for a romantic evening, this is not it. But if you have interest in sampling cuisine from all around the world in a lively food mall atmosphere, give Street Food Thursday at Markthalle Neun a try! My son and I are visiting Berlin during the 2023 Berlin Marathon and stopped by Markthalle Neun after visiting the marathon expo on a Thursday evening. We ordered three entrees and split them all. First, the homemade dumpling with crispy chicken offered chicken with a crunch served in a dumpling with a few shredded veggies and a spicy sauce. You picked up the dumpling much as you would pick up a taco. It was delicious and son's favorite. Next, we had a steamed dumpling with pork meat, carrots, and spices from the same vendor. This one was my favorite. The tender pork-filled dumpling graced with a spicy sauce was full of flavor and really tasted great to me. Third, we ordered homemade Bavarian Mac and cheese from a different vendor. It too was good and I enjoyed its peppery finish. There were many more food items to choose from, and if you like adventurous food experiences and don't mind crowds, this place is definitely worth a try. Just be prepared for a rather lively experience with crowded conditions with limited tables, and that some of the tables are the kind you stand at. We had such a table, but for us, it was all part of the experience.

(Translated by Google) Not too crowded, certainly due to our visit at the end of the day. Some stalls were even already closed. Others are really to be seen because there is something for everyone. We were able to discover and test a Brittany crêperie where people even speak French!

an absolute gem! delicious food and drinks at fair prices, most of it vegetarian, lots of organic as well as vegan products and sold by small independent companies. the crowd is mostly early-twenties hipsters and hyper-healthy soccer moms and the neighborhood is questionable at best, but it's so worth it. they even have a drugstore in there. not really any Christmas spirit going on, but it's not a Christmas market after all.

A lot small of a venue than I imagined it would be, but still interesting to visit. Lots of little shopfronts to buy food from. Another reviewer said there were more shops selling actual “things” rather than just food, but that wasn’t the case. There was a little flea market outside and down the road, but the main building was 95% food based (cheeses, meats, wine, one ice cream place). We went in the late afternoon, and felt like things were starting to pack up, so not sure all stores were open and ready to take customers.

STREET FOOD THURSDAY This is a beautiful market place in Berlin where locals, especially expats, come together weekly to eat, drink, and chat. The vibes are amazing, and the place is neat and clean, although it's very crowded. The people there are friendly, and it's very well organized. The only cons are that there are mostly no places to sit, it's a little loud, and slightly overpriced. You are paying street food prices for what feels like fine dining. But I would say that the whole experience is worth it.

A market hall as you imagine it. Many different stands with predominantly fresh offerings from fruit and vegetables, fish, bread, sausage and meat to various snack offers. Small or larger hungers are also catered for. There are also some stands with delicious wine and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. The atmosphere is somehow always friendly, even though it can get really crowded at times. Visitors are relaxed and enjoy their time here.

A large variety of products. Also I appreciate the fact that there are a lot of places to eat and practically to really have a place to sit down and eat. The food that we tried was awesome.

we visited this place to eat and at the same time try different food... There are fast food stands from everywhere here. we were especially surprised by the offer of Turkish food. There are also plenty of stalls with wine, cheese, and pasta. A must visit, you won't be disappointed.

It's really nice how the market hall has developed. There are stalls with fresh fruit, vegetables, cheese, meat and sausages for shopping, but also great food stalls offering a variety of food and drinks. The market hall invites you to linger and enjoy. I will gladly come again!

Great food experience! A range of different ethnic foods as well as more local options. Sometimes food markets are poor quality, but not here. Really nice and reasonable prices. Not too much seating, so perhaps plan that before getting food. Bench style, so you get an opportunity to chat to many other marketgoers. Will definitely go back!

An amazing marketplace with some great food on offer. On this visit, we chose to have “ALLGÄUERKASSPATZIE”, a dish that is like mac and cheese, but is branded as being “much better”. It’s described as German noodle dish and it tastes amazing. The staff here were all very kind and spoke in perfect English to us which was very kind and understanding when we can’t speak much German. The food here is cheap and the atmosphere is amazing. Another popular attraction about the marketplace is the old photo booth. This is a nice way to take home a souvenir from Berlin to remember your trip. If you’re in the area when in Berlin, I highly suggest stopping by and trying some amazing market food!

We came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon and were surprised that it was not crowded. This also meant parking was easy to find and we parked directly in front of the building. We easily found a table for our group of 4 adults and 3 kids. We enjoyed fresh oysters, couscous, champagne, cheese / sausage, pasta with eggplant, panini, gin cocktail…All the food we tried were very tasty. The restroom was kept clean. There was even a cute photobooth (3€ for 4 photos). There was even a lady checking our digital corona passport! Only thing missing was more variety of Asian food (Thai, Indian, Japanese). There was 1 Chinese place but menu was very limited.

Absolutely love this place! Wonderful food, friendly vendors and buzzing with energy and good vibes. I had my best IPA in Germany at the craft beer vendor here, amazing gin drinks and Japanese pancakes. Italian anti-pasta, french cheeses and german meats, so much to choose from. Stopped by daily on my 4 day visit to Berlin and will surely miss the place. Do yourself a favour, come here hungry and with plenty of time to enjoy it all.

Absolutely amazing! Food and drink market only on a Thursday night (other days it's just a normal market). Generally around €10 per dish but all delicious with a great atmosphere!! If you want to save a bit of money then could take your own wine/beer but there are bars inside. Must visit for foodies!

Great place, lots of different food and drinks. You can eat there or buy takeaway. The prices are very different, for example for a glass of wine it can be 7 or 3 euro. Ask the salesmen. There is an offer for oysters - 6 for 12 euros. Sometimes it's quite crowded and it's hard ti find a place to sit.

A good quality but small food hall with fresh and delicious food. It’s quite hipster and some items are a bit overpriced but it’s a happy place to stroll around during the weekend. Try the cannoli a the tiny Italian stand, they are soooooooo good!

Lively market with many options and all the food we tried were delicious. Recommend the pulled pork. Meatballs were also good. Käsespätzle is also delicious. Pizza from Sironi bakery also decent, goes well with the meatballs. We heard the pasta stall is also great but did not get to try as were too full.

Our last evening in Berlin we decided to check out the Thursday food market. I have to say…it met all my expectations and more. The vibe was very lively…food was expensive but one had a big variety to choose from…beers were great… All in all a great experience to be out in the evening in Berlin! recommended also with kids!

Street Food Thursday is absolutely touristy, but despite the expensive prices it's pretty cool, especially because of the location. What really tastes delicious is the Peruvian street food there! Definitely try it :) The remaining stands are also made with love! It's especially worth it with two or more people, as you can then try more!

We had a wonderful stay in Markthalle 9. You can indulge in culinary delights here and have everything you could wish for from homemade pasta, burgers, cheese, wine and oysters. It can get quite crowded on a Saturday. You can also purchase ingredients, especially regional ones. The displays all look wonderfully fresh. We bought a glass of wine and strolled through the rows. Prices are reasonable for the capital and atmosphere. What I found very positive was that you can pay by card at almost all retailers. Toilets can also be found here, I would like to emphasize that they were also very clean.

Beautiful market that is full of an assortment of different products that are locally produced in or nearby Germany. Excellent quality, prices might be higher, but it’s worth it. There’s also a coffee store right outside so if you want to grab a cup before you head in, it’s a nice way to start the experience.

A must see when you visit Berlin! It is such a nice place with so many different kinds of food - not only like a usual Markthalle but also with a little street food feeling here and there. Nice little indoor market. Great on-site food options, a handful of drink suppliers, ice cream shop, fresh veg, and treats. Only issue is there is not enough seating for the amount of vendors, which is unfortunate as COVID protocols don’t allow for you to stand to eat and drink with over zealous rent-a-cop security barking if happen take a sip of your coffee while looking for a table.

What a paradise! Lovely all the way. I know it probably got gentrified and back in the day things were even more perfect (and I am part of the problem, I know) of course, but I cannot not recommend this place. Bought fruit, had beer & bbq, enjoyed the atmosphere. Give these lovely people all of your money.

Great spot in Berlin and you can not miss that. Every Thursday is open this place to enjoy a variety of dishes in a good price! The perfect place to meet with friends and flavour street food. Majority of the stands accept only cash which is recommended to go with a minimum of 25 euros per person as to enjoy a couple dishes and drinks. You will surprise with the prices to give you an idea are between 5 to 9 euros per dish. The ambience is very cozy. The place is open from 5pm to 10pm.

Visited for the Thursday street food with a little doubt if it wouldn't feel like a tourist trap but I was pleasantly surprised. There were choices of food to suit most palates and the queues weren't all that bad. Loved the interior of the place.

A beautiful where local vendors sell vegetables, cheeses and more. Grab some fresh oats from Mani in Pasta, or a generous pizza slice from Sironi and cake from Frau Zeller. International foods like Momos, Tacos are available only on some days.

Went here a little early so only a few places were open.. had the bbq plate and it was delicious! You pay at the bar across first then you show your ticket. The guys that prepare the food are wonderful! The meat is already delicious without the sauce. Get there after 6pm so more stalls would be open.

Nice food hall with a good choice of stands. Similar to food halls in other cities. Worth a visit if you like street food.

Fine place, with food from around the world. The food tastes good from those we tried. Remember to roder small portions so you can try different food. There is wines, soft drinks draft beer. Ice cream etc.

Mondhuegel bar was the highlight of this market hall for me. Homemade spirits and well-crafted cocktails, you pay whatever you like after your first drink. Overall a really nice and cozy market hall for catch up with friends.

This was really a nice place to eat! There is a market downstairs where you can buy fruits and other local products. Sometimes it gets to crowded and its difficult to find a place. The best place to get ice cream
