Went for tour 1 the Dark Worlds. This was one of the best tours I've ever been on. The tour was so informative and interesting, with just the right duration and amount of information. Staff were very friendly and made the whole experience so good. My tour guide was Elliot and he is truly amazing. His presentation of the information throughout the tour was so engaging, and we really enjoyed the bits of humour he naturally inserts. Elliot was also very knowledgeable and could answer questions posed that may not have been within the main scope of the tour, so that was a job well done. Overall highly recommend this tour to all. Try to come about 5-10 minutes earlier though.

Really good tour, enjoyed each and every minute learning about the fascinating civilian history of air raid shelters and underground bunkers. Some of the stuff they have managed to recover and preserve is honestly mind-blowing (the key cards of the slave labour that proved that they had been forced to work for the regime and the story of how they managed to track down the Ukrainian women and get their stories out to the world is really praiseworthy) The guide was really enthusiastic and knowledgeable as well.

When you are travelling on the U Bahn and you see these doors in the old stations do you ever wonder what secrets there are the other side of the door? Gesundbrunnen is one of these stations that has a secret underneath and on the Dark Worlds Tour you can see behind one such door. On entering the door you will be led up and down stairs deep under the station into a bunker and see original signage and luminous paint on the walls. You will see where the WC’s were located and where the people who ran it worked. In some of the rooms you will see artefacts and weapons. This is a very interesting tour of a building you wouldn’t normally be allowed access to. The guide is very knowledgeable and it’s a group size of 15z because of the steps sensible shoes will be required. As it’s a secret there are no photos allowed inside which is good as you will see for yourself when you go on the tour. I would recommend it and would definitely go on the others they run.

We booked the Flak Tower tour because the picture on their website looks scary. Our guide explained everything we needed to know in details and took my silly question seriously. The tour takes 90 minutes. Make sure you take a warm jacket with you even though it is hot that day. And wear good shoes. This tour is however not for people who are afraid of heights. I will definitely book other tour if I have the chance.

We took our 4 teens to the Dutch tour so they can all understand. Moreover, they were completely captivated by the stellar storyteller Joep. He is such an original guide with his humor, shadow play and mimicry, all done in a very respectful way for the history and the locations. Can't give him enough praise, 3 hours flew by.

This company make really nice tours to discover historical Berlin. I took my first tour on 31. Dec.2023 and then after I decided to book another one (finished on 02.Jan.2024). I really like how they make their tours. The stories are well thematically structured with corresponding historical sites / objects to see in the bunker. I have the same guides on both tours which I appreciate his engagement. The tour guide explains clearly, lively and interesting. 90-minute-talk is not easy but the tour guide is full-energetic during the whole tour. He also encourages us to ask questions as well as designed some little interactions. I have to say that there are some same contents in both tours I have made, but each tour has its specific empasis. I personally take it as one of the best tours in Berlin and a better-not-miss experience.

We made tour 3 about the atomic bombs and the Cold War. Really interesting to see the “bunker” and the story behind them -for me I missed a bit of more historic context. Anyways the tour guide was really nice & fun and I would do a different tour with them if I come back to Berlin.

This tour was very informative and interesting. The tour guide who is passionate about history in her city shares engaging stories of the life in Berlin in these tunnels during WWII. The tour brings you through the different rooms in the tunnels and how it was made livable for residents. The main subject is about life in Berlin during WWII by Berlin residents. 90mins went by really quickly. For tourists from other countries, make sure you have your vaccination records input into the EU health app to get the EU vaccination QR code. The tour company was very careful and ensured their system was able to read everyone’s vaccination QR code. I went to a pharmacy showed my passport and vaccination card to get my info input into the EU system. This will help save you time when you go for tours, museums and enter restaurants easier.

We did Flak Tower tour. It was great to to see the tower, or what's left of it, from the inside and learn about the turbulent history of this place. The tour lasted 2 hours but our tour guide Elliot was so engaging and knowledgeable that it felt more like 30 mins! Highly recommended. Can't wait to get back to Berlin and try some other tours they have on offer.

What a fantastic thing to do, while staying in Berlin. We’ve did two tours: last year the Cold War bunker tour and today the Cold war escape tunnels tour. Especially the last one was incredibly well, not only because of the subject, but the guide was phenomenal! I forgot her name, but if you are in luck and she is your guide, you will have the best of times.

I recently visited Berlin with a group of my friends and this was one tour I was truly excited for. It exceeded my expectations in every way. It was evident that our tour guide was passionate about his job, I felt I was living the experience of those that took shelter there. There’s no denying the eeriness of the place but the back stories and history surrounding the bunkers was truly fascinating. The group of us later commented that it was the best tour we’ve ever done. An incredible experience and an absolute must should you visit Berlin!

We did both dark worlds (tour1) and flak bunker (tour2) both were an amazing experience and both guides had incredible knowledge even outside of the tour scope. Even though both tours were amazing, tour1 was more interesting to me. It had more interesting objects showcased and told a story of civilians, soldiers and politicians. Truly a great experience!

We did the M Tour, and that was a super interesting experience. The guides are very interesting and they tell very well all the stories behind the wall and how people managed to get the West Berlin. Definitely worth every pennies. Thanks a lot for this amazing experience !

Waren in der neuen Führung unter der Dresdener Straße. Richtig spannend, was einen dort erwartet. Vor allem haben mir die vielfältigen Geschichten im typisch lockeren Berliner Style von Gianni gefallen. Die Anlage mit ihrem unterschiedlichen Nutzen in der Historie ist wirklich einen Besuch wert.

Our English-speaking guide was awesome and very knowledgeable. His enthusiasm and respect for the history was evident during his talk. He stayed around after to provide answers to additional questions and even provided recommendations on what else to see. The meeting location was easy to find. And the underground walk was easy. Was able to see parts of an original tunnel and ended up outside of part of the Berlin Wall. In August, the weather was warm. Shorts and sneakers would have been fine as the underground wasn't that could. Dress based on the weather outside and follow their dress guidance to ensure you're not cold. Recommend buy your ticket ahead of time.

My husband and I attended the Under the Berlin Wall tour led by Charlotte. Having just read the book Tunnel 29, I found this a fascinating tour and my husband, who hadn't read the book, did too. I think anyone, regardless of level of knowledge of the escape attempts under the Berlin Wall, would find this tour excellent. Charlotte was a great tour guide; very knowledgeable and engaging. I would recommend Berlin Underworld tours to anyone visiting Berlin. We will definitely be booking onto another one when we're next in Berlin!

Really really interesting tour. We did the tunnel tour and it brought all of the history and museums in Berlin to life. Interesting and passionate guide who showed all of the things you would miss or never get to see if you were on your own. Highly recommend

My husband and I took the Tour 1, Dark Worlds, in English and it was awesome! Super unique experience to gain insight about WW2 history that focused more on daily life and impact on civilians in the city. Our tour guide, Nick, was very knowledgeable and able to answer complex and detailed questions from people on the tour. My husband and I preferred this experience to other historical tour experiences Berlin has to offer. Highly recommend!!!

Amazing tours. We did the bunker (with Team Christy) and escape tunnel tours, both were absolutely amazing. Guides were professional, open for questions, and very knowledgeable. This was one of our most favorite activities in the city and should not be missed.

Most of the places are not allowed to take photos expect a few spots due to copyright reasons. In general I think the tutor is great and the guide person is a great storyteller. I enjoy this place and I think it is very meaningful to bild and renovate this place. So I really recommend this place not only it is interesting to know this stories behind the history, but also the money paid is part of contributing to the building and maintaining. So I think it is meaningful. Btw, I chose tour M (English). I don’t know what happened in other tours.

No pictures were allowed on this tour of the bunker. Built as part of the station a few years before WW2, it was repurposed as an air raid shelter. We joined the English speaking tour and the young guy leading the tour was both knowledgeable and passionate. The 1.5 hour tour was great.

Best non-tourist attraction we've done... Our guide, who was Dutch, was directly related to the history of the place! The guide's grandfather was in the 'bunker' and reported in firsthand how the Germans' 'psychological game' worked during WWII! Photography is not allowed during the tour, but it is an experience that stays registered in the soul... I strongly recommend! :-)

This was the best tour experience I had in Berlin. Just super detailed and I believe each guide tends to bring in their own flavor so you could probably do the same tour twice. I love WW2 and cold war history and this place is all about it. I did Tour 1 and I remember all the details since my guide was so effective at storytelling. No photos allowed inside, so just go to be absorbed in this time capsule gem.

Really great tours. The guy leading our tour was so passionate and was incredibly informative, it is a very good price for the amount of time that you get and the level of detail that is received, the meeting point is easy to locate and the staff in their hi vis vests hard to miss, highly recommend in German or English to go along and have a go .

Listened to the recommendations of others and are glad we did! Took the Dark World tour and it was money well spent with a look into what life was like for some during the war. Guide was knowledgable, and friendly. Hope to make it back someday for the Under the Wall tour. Great organization with easy access to train station!

Fantastic! Absolutely amazing, I went to 3 of the tours and it felt like going back in time. I highly recommend all the tours!! I specially liked the tour for the berlin underground tunnels that were dug out by people who wanted to flee from the east side to the west side of Berlin. And the amazing love story told aswell.

We participated in the tour M. It was the peak of our weekend trip in Berlin. We had 2 guides, both were really nice and helpful. Athena especially is a really good storyteller. She laid down the historical context, took us several places underground. She was quite an expert with details and all the questions. This is really more than a museum visit. Highly recommended!

Great tour of the flak tower. The tour guide did a great job by keeping it interesting the whole tour. This was my third walk with Berlin Underworld and will do it again. 🤩

Outstanding. We had a really good guide, who made the whole tour really engaging. Because of her, we think we want to do the other tours as well. No photos allowed but it is definitely worth it.

We did the Dark Worlds tour in English with Mark, and it was phenominal. The tour was a highlight to the trip, just to be able to see things from a different perspective. Mark made the experience educational and entertaining. If we had time we would have gone back to do a second tour. Absolutely worth it.

We had a great experience on the 1.5h tour! Learned a lot about the history and the artifacts in the building. Lots of different facts to discover, highly recommend it. The tour guide was very well prepared and friendly

I did tour number 3 and I really enjoyed it. The tour guide was very nice and they showed us two different shelters. The tour lasted for an hour and a half. I would really recommend doing it, although I heard the most popular one is tour number 1. I'll book in advance to get a spot in it next time I'm in Berlin. Thank you!

Amazing tour! Must do in Berlin - very engaging stories and the tour guides were so well informed and fun. Definitely worth going even during a shorter trip to Berlin

I went on the “Fichtebunker: Time capsule” tour, which is based at Fichte str 6, Berlin, 10967. Fantastic tour with a great guide. Its a tour of a WW2: mother and child bunker based inside an old town gas storage facility and you really got a feel for the place. The guide was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. I wish I had had time to go on some of the other tours, which also sound interesting. You are not allowed to take pictures inside for copyright reasons, so I only have pictures of the outside. Not recommended if you are severely claustrophobic.

  • 5/5 Peter R. 2 years ago on Google
Great tour with professional and friendly guides. We did the bomb shelter tour. It would have been great if the tour was a little longer as we didn't get to spend too much time looking at all the exhibited items and descriptions. But overall I still highly recommend going! We'll definitely check out some of the others.

Went on the guided tour in the flak tower. Very informative and if you are into history it’s a must. Guide was knowledgeable and provided us with great inside. The tour is 90 min and it’s easy to get to with public transport. Just remember a jumper since the temperature inside the ruin is 5-10 degrees all year round

  • 5/5 Matias J. 1 year ago on Google
A must if you visit Berlin. I did the Dark Worlds tour. You have the opportunity to have a very clear idea of what happened during that time. The guide gave us a lot of information, he really knew his stuff. Everything shown in there is really from the WWII period so u have a lot to absorb. Next time I'll try one of the other tours for sure.

Wonderful tour! Totally recommend it to anyone visiting Berlin. We thoroughly enjoyed the Tour M of the escape tunnels. The guide was so knowledgeable and captivating. It was truly an unforgettable experience.
