This hotel is really dirty. We upgraded our stay to a junior suite. The floors were so dirty you could see footprints on the wood flooring. There was so much mildew/mold in the shower. For some reason our garbage was never taken from the room. We added the mini bar to our stay and the bottles just sat in the room the whole time during our stay. There was also two items that had been previously opened and put back into the fridge. The televisions do not work. We called the front desk once to verify some information and had to call three separate times before someone answered the phone. The staff in the executive lounge were very friendly. The breakfast was good - lots of variety for longer stays which was nice. On the day of checkout the staff was knocking our door at 9AM to come in. I would skip this hotel, there are plenty of other options.

Totally enjoyed my stay at Hilton Berlin. The room was nice and big. Breakfast options were great and the staff were amazing. The location is ideal for walking access to most of the attractions in the city. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a great place to stay in the city.

Not expensive luxury hotel. Great location and view from the windows. Very friendly and professional team. Pool, gym and sauna (surprisingly extra cost). Great for business if you get access to Executive Lounge with drinks and snacks and happy hour - you can work the whole day in a cosy atmosphere with your teammates.

Location: central / very good location everything is reachable on foot Rooms: rooms are nice, well equipped and clean. Only the mattress could be better. Breakfast: was good Service: every service contact I had was outstanding Additional offers: pool was nice and clean + gym was okay (little small, nothing for people who lift heavy) Parking: okay and directly next to the hotel. Price is reasonable but can be obtained cheaper

The hotel states it has air conditioning, but the air conditioning does not work if the outside temperature is above 26 degrees…which is the only time you would need air conditioning. The AC was off during our entire stay and both a maintenance employee and front desk employee told us this was not a one-time issue; they said anytime the temperature is above 26, the entire hotel’s air conditioning does not work. For the hotel to advertise it has air conditioning when that air conditioning does not work in hot weather is like advertising having a pool but the pool does not have water; it’s intentionally misleading and utterly useless. Many hotels in Europe don’t have air conditioning. That’s perfectly alright. But we specifically wanted one that does because we were traveling with a very elderly relative and we wanted her to have a place to cool off after walking around Berlin all day. Instead, the room was far hotter than outside and there was no way to cool it off because the windows hardly open. Again, not having air conditioning is fine. But advertising you do have air conditioning when you know full well it doesn’t work anytime the weather is hot enough to need air conditioning is intentionally dishonest. To be clear, it was 28 degrees during our stay. It was not a heat wave. It was just a typical June day in Berlin. If your air conditioning doesn’t work during a typical summer day, it is dishonest to say you have air conditioning. Not a huge deal for those of us who aren’t 88 (like the relative we were traveling with) but I think the intentionally dishonest advertising warrants being called out.

Clean comfortable room. Bathrooms could be refreshed. Good location to tourist attractions. Good breakfast. Parking is available for a fee (36 Euro for almost 2 days) and there is an app (not Hilton) that you can download and reserve and pay with. Not actually sure what a "reservation" means, you do not get a specific spot assigned.

I came on a business trip and was pretty disappointed. The rooms are nice but I had to change my key twice in an hour as it wasn't working or the lock was defective. Room service also took over 45 minutes to provide a simple wrap an tortilla chips. For 16 euros with another 7 to take to your room. The hotel is trading on its name and location and service is pretty average

Had a nice two night stay. Room was small but adequate even for King room. Bathroom was small but lovely. Room on second floor was quiet and comfortable. An issue was dealt with professionally and quickly. Service in the bar was great and the concierge was very helpful. I would definately stay here again.

Perfect gateway to discover Berlin. Great location in the historic city center. Rooms are small for a Hilton but provide everything you need. Bathrooms a bit dated and could be better maintained. The rooms facing the courtyard are quieter than those facing the square but of course have a less attractive view. Executive lounge is very decent and happy hours offer everything you need. The pool is small, but the saunas are sufficient. If you want a good standard in the city center, this hotel is a good choice.

Excellent location. Good pool and facilities. Parking in the building. Decent restaurant. Rooms soundproof. Very kind personnel. I would recommend avoiding breakfast since at €28 per person it doesn’t make sense. Great breakfast options in nearby cafes.

The view from a suite room. This is how they treat Hilton diamond members... what’s the point of having a status. The executive lounge is also open only certain time of the day. Breakfast is good though I just saw the comment. The lounge was clearly closed and only opened til 8pm. Maybe it’s the internal communication issue??

Excellent location and easy to walk around or access the U Bahn. Executive Lounge offer comfortable and nice choice of food and drinks, including a happy hour. Breakfast has a great selection, largely buffet style with an omelette station. Room was spacious and warm given temperature outside with a nice view. Bed, specifically the mattress needed replacing as was very tired and no spring left. Otherwise excellent.

Updated!! Second day at the hotel and still no hot water! Disappointing, hotel has no hot water. It is -3 in outside and all I wanted was a hot shower after a long day. No one told me this at the check-in, or sent me an email in advance, otherwise I would have stayed in another place. The hotel knew there has been a problem because they will cut all the water for the whole night to ‘try’ to fix it. Communication is key and appreciated!

Nice Hotel & a good base for us to explore the Christmas Markets. The beds are very comfy as was the room we had. Nice ambience in the hotel. The only issue for me was trying to get served in the bar & 30 euros for a breakfast is ridiculous.

Stayed for one night and really enjoyed it! Munestar at the front desk is excellent and friendly. He was incredibly helpful toward my stay even giving me some tips about the city. Breakfast buffet is fun! Executive lounge was super busy when I was there but lots of fun options and well stocked. Housekeeping entered my room while I was in there before check out but were very apologetic. Room felt very clean!!

Lovely stay. Clirim is the best bartender at the hotel, he’s so professional and friendly! Very attentive. Fantastic service from him honestly! Only thing I have to comment is that the bed matress is not comfy but everything else was perfect

Just arrived today so we haven't been able to scout out the entire area but the hotel seems conveniently located in the city. Plenty of shops and food. We chose this location since it is close to the finish of the marathon and easy to get to multiple markers of the course. The rooms are very clean, modern and spacious. Hotel has a nice bar, restaurant and executive lounge.

I received an upgrade of my room free of charge. Probably due to the pandemic I’ve received conflicting information from reception and the bar/restaurant regarding getting some dinner. Unfortunately no (internal/external) options were offered. So I went to bed w/o dinner. No worries, I didn’t starve as I usually have some snacks with me as stuff like that can happen all the times: just be prepared!

Great location for visiting tourist attractions, most major sites are within 20 minutes walking distance. Some rooms (like mine) had GREAT view of the dome. Service was on the spot. Rooms have been renovated however the bathroom like others mentioned does have an old set up and my toilet kept having the leaking sound throughout evening but did shut the door and it was better. Bed was comfortable. My biggest complaint is the door lock, it is one of the oldest style key card system that I have seem in the hotel for recent years. Still no contactless yet and it is the style where u have to swipe down (think of old credit card system) and the key often deactivates. Also the pool area hours should extend a bit. 9pm hard closure means everything closes beforehand. Too early for hotel this grand!

A truly memorable experience. Excellent location, well appointed, clean facility, a superlative breakfast buffet and above all, the courteous, polite and extremely helpful behavior of each and everyone of the hotel staff. Thank you for a most wonderful stay.

I just so desperately wanted to give a 5 star for everything. The room had the most amazing view of the German dome so a 6 out of 5. The downside is the rooms (I think) tend to be on the smaller size as they are more original and the shower is in/over the bath. That is just preference though as I prefer a walk in shower. We had an exec room on the 6th floor but everything else was just spot on. My one other teeny tiny advice would be to bring down the cost of wine in the bar area. 18 euro's for a 200ml glass. We 100% would have used the bar more if it hadn't been for the steep price and you have lots of other options direct on your doorstep. Just a really nice touch they have a grab and go area in the hotel lobby for drinks and snacks which is a really nice touch. The hotel is super smart as you would expect and I can't recommend the breakfasts highly enough. Brilliant to set you up for a days sight seeing.

Disappointing Experience with Bed Bugs I had an extremely disappointing experience at Hilton Hotel. Unfortunately, my stay was marred by a serious issue with bed bugs. Despite reporting the problem to the hotel management, I have yet to receive any response or resolution after several weeks. The presence of bed bugs not only ruined my stay but also caused discomfort and inconvenience due to the bites I suffered. It is extremely concerning that the hotel has not taken this matter seriously and failed to address the issue promptly.

Stayed for a few days, as a Diamond member the perks are great. The room was spacious, bed and bedding were very comfortable. Shower had great pressure and quality toiletries. Breakfast was awesome every day! The location is great and you csn get to sll the attractions quite easily. Service was great. Overall positive experience!

The plus of this hotel is the central location and the service was nice. The minus: the room was super old (from the 80) and it was a very loud ventilation noise that made impossible to sleep. The breakfast was average. I was expecting a better service from this kind of hotel. Also the water in the room is free only if you are a silver or gold member or above. The executive lounge is ok, you can have dinner there.

Spa and Sauna are not free , 14€ for a day pass. A nice hotel, beautiful view from the room, but very old fashioned room . Service and Staff are amazing. I also ordered a softdrink and club sandwich, a total of 30€ (7€ service fee on each order) . Executive lounge offers free drinks all day and after 6pm also alcoholic drinks.

My wife and I stayed at the Hilton Berlin from Monday 27th November to Saturday 2nd December. Firstly, there were no issues with check-in, the gentleman who booked us in was really pleasant, I let my wife do this as she wanted to practice her German language skills, when she got a bit confused the gentleman spoke in English and said " it's OK I speak English" to the relief of my wife and both had a chuckle, Brilliant Service. The gentleman who cleaned our room was really good, he would always say if we needed anything to let him know, our thanks go out to him as well. The bar staff were very good and pleasant to deal with. Thank you to them. The gentleman on the concierge desk was really good, thank you to him. We left our bag in the holding room as we checked out at 11am and weren't getting picked untill 3pm, the older gentleman was funny and really good, thank you to them. The room itself was large enough for us, there was a wardrobe unit on the left as you enter the first door contains 2 shelves and the safe, I had to use bluetac to keep the safe door shut, we didn't set a lock on it as we didn't use it, there's a hairdryer in there as well. The second door contains the iron and ironing board, then there is the minibar, it is stocked but be careful as whatever u take out is automatically charged to the room. There a kettle with the normal tea's and coffee's but for staying for almost a week then 2 milk cartons aren't enough, I would suggest that there should be at least 12 milk cartons which does 6 cups and 12 coffee sachets. We went to Lidl's to get a jar of coffee and a bottle of milk. The room could do with a chest of drawers. The bed and pillows were comfy and clean. The TV remote control didn't work that great but but that wasn't really an issue, if it had been I would have asked for some new batteries. The shower room was small but it did the job, we had a walk in shower, no issues here, the door is narrow so if ur a large person or use walking sticks this might be an issue. Now the downside. There is no heating in the room, the radiator is under the window which doesn't work, I turned the heating dial on the radiator but there was no heat at all. No radiator should be placed under a window anyway and even if it did work once u draw the curtains all the radiator would do is heat the window, that needs to be moved to wall next to the bed so when it does work it then heats the room, when we first arrived i had to sleep in the robe and thermal socks cause the room was cold, there are other comments about the radiators so it looks as if there not taking the heating issue seriously and berlin got down as low as -7 overnight, im not saying that the hotel room being cool directly resulted in me getting the cold but it certainly wouldn't have helped. The bar prices are steep but this is where money is made however 28 euros for a large wine and 0.5L of beer is really steep, but if you dont want to spend it then don't drink it. Breakfast is a normal buffet breakfast, it's a free for all and not table service, lots of choices but the only criticism is that the eggs are bit yuk, the scrambled eggs seem as if there not cooked enough, the fried eggs still had the clear white egg on top, it's not hard to cook eggs, the bacon is cooked to a crisp, why??? And some of the coffee machines only give u half a cup of coffee. Overall, breakfast service could do better. There's a little shop near the lifts, not seen that before but a brilliant idea, it's self service. The hotel is 10mins from lidl 2 mins from the Stadtmitte underground taking you directly to Charlottenburg and Alexanderplaz without changing. 20 mins to brandenberg gate and the reichstag building. 10mins to checkpoint Charlie. Overall its a good hotel with good staff running a large hotel within a challenging environment. We will come back to Berlin and more than likely stay at the hilton again but not in the winter due to the heating issue.

Another satisfying stay at my favorite Berlin hotel. Service standards have largely returned to pre-covid-19 levels The location is ideal, close to so many areas of interest for both first time and seasoned visitors to the city. No lack of shopping and dining options within walking distance and the Stadtmitte U bahn station is directly in front. Diamond recognition is excellent. I haven't ever had the desire to stay elsewhere.

  • 2/5 Douglas R. 3 months ago on Google New
The hotel is well located a few meters from the Stadtmitte metro station. I asked for an extra blanket and they told me they didn't have one available, the room had dirt from years ago and mold, long lines for breakfast even though they had 25% of empty space reserved for "some other customers", I wanted to order an omelet and the man The person who prepares them told me that I had to wait 10 minutes, but his friends and those who tipped him arrived and he served them without waiting in line, bad experience, it doesn't look like a Hilton hotel.

I am utterly appalled by my recent experience at the Hilton Berlin. What was supposed to be a five-star experience turned out to be a complete letdown. Right from the start, there was no bellboy in sight. My husband and I had to lug our heavy bags around in the cold. For a supposed high-end hotel, this is not a normal procedure. But, things happens, so i thought that was fine. We can drag our own luggage ourselves. The hotel's interior is dated, looks dirty, and dingy. It's obvious that it hasn't seen a renovation in ages. Being Gold members, we were initially pleased with the room upgrade and lounge access, but that's the only good thing I can say about this place. The bellboy's attitude was shockingly rude to us. I think Hilton needs to train their staff better. As Gold members, we were only entitled to two complimentary water for our entire stay. But if youre a non member, you have to pay 7euro for. I've stayed in less fancy hotels and never had to pay for water. Moreover, even though they said two waters, we only receive one so far. The housekeeping was a disaster. Our request to change the linen, clearly indicated by the card on the bed, was completely ignored. My husband had a nosebleed the night before and the bloodstain was still there the next day. Whats the point of offering the card? And the phones. Why have three phones in a room if none of them work? We couldn't even call for basic services. I've never been so enraged and disappointed by a hotel stay. From bellboy, to housekeeping, The lack of basic hospitality and service at Hilton Berlin is inexcusable. I'm warning everyone I know to steer clear of this place. Frankly you should downgrade yourself to a 3 star hotel, not advertise as 5 star. Then i wouldnt be so pissed off

  • 1/5 Jeffrey D. 2 years ago on Google
The management in particular of the front desk is extremely bad. That explains the bad service. This is really horrible and does not match where Hilton stands for. For the money you spend in this hotel you get more worth for your money in other hotels where they appreciate their guests. I truly think if they don’t change anything it will be the downfall for this Hilton.

  • 5/5 Colin P. 2 years ago on Google
The location of the hotel is superb and with walking distance to all the top attractions in Berlin city centre. The area is full of nice restaurants and cafes so it is easily walking around for lunch and coffee during a busy day of sightseeing. Staff are super friends as well!

We stayed at Hilton on the 20/1/24 to the 24/1/24 Was lovely except they were doing something with the water and had no hot water one morning , the next morning scolding hot water , luckily had friends staying on the next floor down that I could use their shower to rinse shampoo Out of my hair after burning myself , was not happy at all , understand that things need to be done but for a five star hotel the situation was disgusting, they need to be more helpful and a least let customers know the second time it was going to happen

Fantastic location in a perfect location for exploring the city. The U bahn station is conveniently located at hotel front entrance. I stayed there in October and was upgraded as a Diamond to one of the biggest suites I have ever seen in a European hotel with spectacular views. Superior service at the front desk and polite staff members. The room was impeccably clean. Breakfast was bountiful and buffet style. I cannot wait to visit this hotel again, and Berlin again too! This is what a Hilton should be!

Location at the heart of the city, just across the underground entrance. Parking facility in the building, well documented entrance in google maps and the Tesla map. Hotel gave me credit for parking there. Food in the lounge restaurant was perfect for a business meeting, excellent selection and not over priced. High quality. Welcoming, clean, safe atmosphere. Perfect place to stay for me.

Well kept hotel with polite staff, but I need to highlight the breakfast. I've stayed at many Hotels around the world, and this was one of the nicest (included) breakfast buffets that I've been able to enjoy! It was complimented by exceptional table service, which surprised us with fantastic tiny waffles and complimentary champagne. I'd go out of my way to stay here again in the future, simply to have a cozy breakfast there in the morning.

Bad first impression! Upon checking in, hotel didn’t seem busy or full post holiday season. However, the reception placed us in the farthest, loneliest section of the hotel in a small, dark room. I had to personally walked down to the reception within two minutes of getting in the room to ask for a room change; hand towel holder is falling off from the wall, telephone is not working. Didn’t wait to find out what else is broken or not working in our first room but it definitely ruined our expectation.

Where to begin?! We pretty often stay with Hilton all over the world and know how great it could be. Unfortunately, Hilton Berlin is not one of them. We had the biggest King Room, which was fine, bathroom tile was falling apart in some places. The first room they gave us had smoke smell all over the room. In the corridors of the hotel they have very strong “not bad” but smell. Breakfast was okay, we just had better. Stuff at the restaurant was not very friendly and looked like waitresses are pretty unhappy. Except one black. waitress with short curly hair (I’m sorry I didn’t get her name). She was fantastic. Super caring and always paid attention to every details. Also concierge stuff was phenomenal. The location is amazing! Great spot and walking distance everything. My husband and I did expect more since it is Berlin, but we got disappointed and not coming back. I hope you do improve your customer service and quality of the room, even small touch ups.

Last week I spent a week at the Hilton Hotel in Berlin for work. It was another fantastic experience. The room was very clean. The bathroom has all the luxuries you need as a woman, a bathtub, a hairdryer, and even a makeup mirror. There was also plenty of closet space to store your clothes and, as the icing on the cake, there was even an iron. Very handy when your suits are wrinkled by your suitcase.

Rooms were great. No issues with them at all. The food we had in the cafe downstairs was quite bland, so we ate out the last few days of our trip. It's a good location though. Easy to get about to the other places we needed to go in the course of our work. Just hopped in a taxi and there Inna few minutes. Plenty of shops and restaurants around too, and only a short walk from the square. Lovely historic buildings.

Good hotel overall. The room could be a little refreshed for the price and the corridor are a little dark/old. The room card is necessary to go up by elevator but to be honest it’s super annoying. Breakfast is super good and the lounge is super comfy. Food at the downstairs restaurant is not that great though. Will go back.

Perfect stay at this location. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the Listo bar and the spa- great on-site amenities. Our room was spacious enough for a multi-night stay and not feeling too cramped as can happen in Europe. The public transport option was so close it made getting anywhere in the city simple. We will stay again when in Berlin.

Was here for a business meeting. I didn't live in the hotel but attended meetings for 2 days. We sat down in the common lounge area where we could order coffee/drinks. The location of the hotel is prime so you'll find good stores/restaurants nearby, if you want to try eating outside of the premises. They even allow to get food from putside which not a lot of big hotel chains allow to do. The service is pretty good and the staff is really humble and courteous. Really liked the ambience.

Great hotel. Kinda vintage looking inside but still it is a decent hotel. Service is good, food is delicious. Only thing is, parking is paid. It is €38 daily. After paying €600 for 3 nights, I expect a free parking at least. Also even water is not free in the room. A bottle of water should be something like €7. I am complaining about these facts because now I am staying in a hotel in Krakow which has the same standards, as a comparison they provide free parking and free unlimited bottled water in the room. I know these are minor details but when they are together, its annoying a little. For parking, what I did was, If you park 2 blocks away, it is free. I parked my car 2 blocks away at the road side and grabbed a scooter to hotel. This way I paid €1 daily for parking. I recommend checking parking map of Berlin. Breakfast is the best I have seen in a hotel so far, it has everything…

We had an absolutely fabulous stay at the Hilton in Berlin! The rooms with view were amazing, the breakfast had everything we could want, and all the employees we met were super friendly and helpful, especially the reception workers who checked us in and out, Christofer from the restaurant, the whole breakfast team, especially Santiago. Thanks for a wonderful stay with my kids!!

Rooms were super and quite although it's in the inner city center. For some time device was just not as expected. Breakfast restaurant has a stunning view onto the church of Gendarmen Market. Would come back by chance.

This hotel has it all, lovely building, lovely staff, clean & comfy rooms, clean and well maintained hotel throughout and a location for a tourist like myself, just perfect. Walking distance to a huge shopping centre and other sites. Taxis lined up outside to take you anywhere at anytime. Underground right outside the door that takes you to the museum island. Good breakfast and nice cocktails at the bar. Nice pool to relax in after walking 20k+ steps seeing the sites. If it's your 1st time in Berlin, this hotel is brilliant. Highly recommended staying here

Rooms are clean and beautiful. There was very big choice during the breakfast. The staff was helpful and nice. Pool and sauna were opened during my stay and I liked it. It was the best executive lounge I have ever been.

A very select and elegant hotel. I was attending an event here and everything was perfect. The staff is super friendly, helpful and professional. The hotel is clean and tidy. Their conference rooms are very nice, with good sound system and comfortable chairs.

We stayed here for the Berlin Marathon. I'm really glad we did! The breakfast buffet was plentiful with so many different selections. The staff was very accommodating and helped answer any questions we had. Also, it was walking distance to so many sites and restaurants. Really great stay and so glad we stayed here!
