I've been two times before here, very pleasant stays. Nice hotel, very good breakfast, comfortable rooms. At second time I wasn't fully satisfied with the room (too close to the tram - therefor a bit noisy), but the lady at the reception was very helpful and arranged a much more calm room. I recommed this hotel.

Nice hotel with great location next to public transport- 3 minutes from main train station! Breakfast was great with lots of options and they have a great bar in the lobby. Only complaints- 1) I paid for early check in and was told the room wasn't ready but when I asked for a refund for the early check-in fee, a room was magically ready. 2) I was on the 2nd floor and the hallways smelled like someone was smoking 90% of the time despite it being smoke free; the room did not smell like cigarettes though thankfully. Overall, would stay again.

Location and rooms and very good. Breakfast is really top! It’s the main reason why I choose this hotel. However, improvements could be made at reception. For example, I had already fully checked-in online and I had the QR code for fast entry but the staff at reception wanted me to fill out paper forms even when I explained the situation. It was late at night and I had to insist to get my key fast.

wirklich schwacher Auftritt von einigen dort. teilweise Essen von gestern (Mozzarella und Lachs sahen nicht genießbar aus, zudem noch der Koch ständig an seiner Nase). Bedienung abends echt unfreundlich. Werde hier definitiv nie wieder absteigen.

We had a wonderfully calm room oriented towards the inner garden. The Hotel is very clean, the room is nice but a little small. The bathroom is very new and very nice. The staff is wonderfully friendly and helpful - a big thanks again here! The hotel is brilliantly located to go to Prenzlauer Berg, Unten den Linden, the Reichstag, etc. etc. Right in the middle of the action!

Good hotel and good location in Berlin close to main tourist and business locations. The bed is not really comfortable and I got a 2 single beds room when I have booked for a room with a big size bed. But except that, it does the job perfectly.

I could not even stay there because they canceled my reservation 3 hours before arriving in Berlin, I was arriving from an international trip and I find the surprise that by hotel policy they charge your credit card the total amount of your stay before your arrival and if they can't make the charge they cancel your reservation. Be very careful with the communication you have with the hotel, I contacted them days before my arrival because I wanted to make the payment in advance and their system did not accept my payment, the hotel's response is that they did not know the reason and had no alternative to help me. it is incredible the little empathy and lack of customer service they had with me and even more when you come from an international trip.

I enjoyed my stay here, the bed was very comfortable and the shower was great, the pressure and temperature was easily controlled. I really enjoyed the breakfast, plenty of choice from cereals, fruit and yogurts to cooked food and pastries. I eat in the hotel for the first night as I arrived later in the evening, I had the pesto chicken pasta, and was lovely. The bar staff were very friendly as were any of the hotel staff I spoke with, and they all spoke English, so made it very easy for me. Public transport for accessing this hotel was great with a tram stop right outside and an underground station just round the corner. I would happily stay here again and would recommend to others too

Hotel is placed near tram stations and metro lines that can take you, maybe with some connections, to about anywhere in Berlin. If you are staying more then 1 or 2 days and travel a lot with public transport, I would suggest getting at least a day ticket if not, like me, a week ticket. (I haven’t ridden anytime the M10 as much as in my stay here). The front desk girls are really nice and helpful and can help you with recommendations, services offered by the hotel, like ironing, for example, and things like room cleaning and minibar supply. The room I stayed in was on the smaller side, enough for one person and also made it feel cosy. I really like that from your bed you can see the shower and sink area. This would be pleasant when visiting with a female companion. Also, although I was staying alone, I got 2 bathrobes. All in all, it was a great stay.

I advise against using their services ! We had two rooms booked on 9-10.06.2022, unfortunately about a week before the date of stay it turned out that we are infected with COVID-19. We immediately reported it to the hotel and asked to be offered an alternative date, refund or whatever. Unfortunately, the hotel didn't show understanding: Didn't allow for refund or rebook. I decided that if they didn't want to refund or rebook, I'll let them know that I arrive infected to stay in Mercure Hotel Berlin City. The answer was immediate that I don't have the right to check-in, because they wouldn't check me in and they call the police. Summary: - we have been refused a refund, - we have been refused to change the dates of stay, - we have been refused to check-in. I have been a member of the Accor club with status for several years and this is the first time that I have been such treated. Staff without any initiative, understanding, terrible service. I don't recommend it and I will advise against stay there!

Relaxed, quiet, rooms come with free Wi-Fi and flat-screen TVs (if you need to watch sth), big comfortable beds, as well as work desks, and tea and instant coffeemaking facilities. A 2 minute walk from both Naturkundemuseum U-Bahn station, this modern hotel is also close to the Berlin Wall Memorial, Alexanderplatz, Grand Central Station, REWE supermarket etc. The bathroom is equipped with shower gel and shampoo, soap, towels, hair dryer etc for a comfortable stay. Overall, the room was clean, the sheets were clean, the bin emptied, but I still do have a small complaint about the bathroom which was not that neat and tidy. The mirror was dirty, there was dust on the bin, the floor wasn't properly cleaned but it wasn't a major inconvenience. I liked the shower cabin and the water just was about the perfect temperature. The staff was nice, you can pay either cash or card. The check out was fast and easy. I recommend this hotel although it was a bit more expensive per night due to its central location.

I had a very unpleasant front desk experience on the day of my check-in. I was asked for my credit card details, which was odd because the guests before me were not asked for this when they checked in. When I asked the bespectacled front desk guy about this, he told me point-blank that Asian guests were messier and prone to damaging things. I was shocked and could not say anything. On hindsight, I should have said something. The saving grace was that the room was well-kept and clean, but I will not plan to stay here on my next trip to Berlin.

Excellent rooms clean and cared for. No restaurant open and that is strange for Germany. Restaurants are open in many hotels. Also curious is that it is said that there is free WiFi, but you have to pay 19 euros first before you can go online. I find that rude again. And no explanation from the reception, that should be better

Receptionists are really helpful and speak many languages. Room was spotless and cleaned every day with toiletries and refreshments topped up. Despite the hotel being really busy it was very quiet at night. Comfy bed with air conditioning/heater. Hotel is idea.ly located for public transport, museums and local restaurants, coffee shops and supermarkets. Will be visiting again

We stayed here to visit a show at Friedrichstadt Palast. The location was perfect for this. You are also very close to the street car station, so it doesn’t take long to get into the city. The room was very small and the bathroom was tiny. Stuff at the check in was very nice. We didn’t have breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t comment on that. Overall the stay was okay for that price.

Our stay was ok. The room felt more like of a 2 or 3-star hotel rather than a 4-star. First, we had only 1 small bottle of water good for 2 persons upon our arrival in our room which was never refilled during our 4 night of stay. There's no mini fridge. The pillows we had were so cheap (as shown in the video). The bedsheets were a bit rough, it didn't feel that soft and comfy. The rooms were not properly cleaned. The 1st room that was given to us had tiny hair strands on the comforter and pillow, but the staff was nice to give us another room (although I would prefer to have the beddings replaced to make sure that they're really clean). In the 2nd room, I accidentally found an empty plastic wrapper underneath the bedside table (as shown in photo). The room had an old SmartTV screen that is not even connected to the internet so the "smart" function is kinda useless. The housekeeping lady knocked on our door early in the morning during our checkout day which was really weird. In common area, there was no comfortable workstation or lounge area around the lobby. There was only the bar table and chair area that the staff showed us or at the restaurant which are very uncomfortable if you want to do some work outside your room. On the positive side, we liked that there's an office desk with a comfy seat and a lounger sofa in the room. The water pressure from the shower is good. There's tea/coffee and water heater kettle. The staffs we encountered were friendly and nice. Nice location. But compared to other Mercure hotels in other countries that we've tried, sad to say, this one has the worst quality.

Stayed there early June this year. At the end of my stay, I forgot my headphones in the room. When I called after arriving home by plane (around 5-6 hours later), they said that no one found the headphones and offered no solution. The hotel rooms facing the street are also really loud: really poor noise isolation (you can hear the U-Bahn, ambulances are even louder!). Breakfast is average at best, and gets really packed in the morning. My experience was mediocre, but them stealing my headphones really brought down my rating here.

Hotel looks nice but rooms are too hot and AC did not help, windows can't be open fully and there was a lot of noise. Also beds were not comfortable, or the pillows. The lady at check-in was not very friendly either.

Excellent location. Just a few minutes from Berlin Hauptbanhof. Public transport is just a few steps from the hotel (tramps and metro). A lot of options for shopping, eating. And also great and friendly people on the reception. Definitely great choice for your stay in Berlin

Nice hotel! Good rooms with plenty of space. The bathroom was nice and clean. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful too! Beds had very soft small pillows but we simply asked for additional pillows down at reception.

Great location for the hotel, but the rooms are very worn and the cleaning wasn't done very well. There's mould in the shower and the sink was cracked. Looks like it has passed it's expiry date. Too expensive for what you get. The one big bed as it was sold as, is in reality two small beds put together.

Great hotel with very good location. Whether you come to Berlin by train or car, the accessibility is very good. There is a train station nearby. Quiet hotel with very nice and helpful staff. On-site underground parking where I also parked my bike (although I did not find a parking space for bicycles). Bicycles can be rented on site (big plus).

It's time for writing an honest review. I was there last week for my business trip. I had booked the hotel room 7 months in advance and was very quite exited for my business trip and the stay at that hotel. But, it turned out to be a nightmare. No BREAKFAST included though the hotel charged super high amount per night. I was really shocked. I asked at the receptionist politely and the lady at the reception said you need to book breakfast separately. I asked 4 different receptionist everyday but none of them seems to care much about the customer issue. I understood that they don't care much about customer but when I booked there was no option to either select or deselect the breakfast option. Even if I book a cheap hotel in Germany, mostly the breakfast is included and if not included, they clearly mention about it. This hotel booking system just confused me. When I asked for the breakfast, they asked for extra 22 Euros per day. I politely explained that my employer has already paid around 160 per night for booking 7 months in advance and I don't get approval for more budget but the workforce at the reception either didn't give a damn about my issue or I do not understand what is going on. Let's forget about the breakfast problem, many many other different problems. Super dirty towels, no bath tubs, super small rooms, no proper service for changing bed sheets for 4 nights in a row, no proper clean and the lists could go on..In gist, I booked this hotel after carefully reading many positive reviews but I start to feel like most of them are fake reviews. I am never going to book this hotel again and I am very sorry that I can't recommend this to anyone. God bless!

A wonderful day began being warmly greeted by Michalina at the breakfast room. After a comfortable night's sleep, a hearty breakfast with friendly service by Lena jump started my very enjoyable six days in Berlin City. The clean, comfortable room in a quiet location of the building was greatly appreciated.

Booked a Superior Room with Garden View for 6 nights. As its during InnoTrans 2022, per night rate is about Euro 400. Newly Renovated so the room is cozy and modern. Small but functional. After paying €400/ night, the still water bottle is never replenished over the 6 days. I reckon its only a 'Welcome' drink The Bathroom Shower Gel bottle is empty and 2 Bottles of Shampoo is provided. Never replaced or changed to a shower gel and shampoo.

Stayed from the 24th of August until the 2nd of September. The hotel is perfectly placed for moving around and there are a lot of bar/restaurants around as well. Rooms are standard (I did not book the best one) but fairly enjoyable. Really impressed with the service at every breakfast, Michalina is an amazing Maitre D', made me feel very welcomed every day and also found me a table when the room was packed for breakfast! All good over all!

It should be more clean and brand new beds and pilows. For 4 stars hotel does like to be more quality and comfortable. Price and capbilites are not match ı think.

Nice clean rooms, friendly staff and nice bar downstairs, very conveniently located 2 stops from the Hauptbahnhof on the tram and also next to a U-Bahn station.

The room was very clean and the personnel was nice. But there is a 30€ extra charge per night for dog, and it's really expensive.

We stayed here for 3 nights (Dec 22) and found the hotel perfect. The location is great for getting around the city either on foot or using the U Bahn. The nearest stop to the hotel is the Natural History Museum. The staff were helpful and friendly, the hotel was clean and our rooms were perfect. We stayed on the 7th floor. Special mention needs to go to Torte who works in the hotel bar (I've probably not spelt that correctly) for his help understanding the U Bahn / S Bahn, and for the fab Moscow mule and Kaluha shots 😀

Location is good. Nearby public transportation to city centre or train station. Rooms are a bit on the small side, but good enough for a weekend. Rooms could use some renovation/modernization in my opinion...skip the carpets please! Bathroom not to big but good shower and very nice soap/shampoo. Staff very friendly from reception to bar and the breakfast staff. Only letdown was dinner here. We waited for more then 45 minutes to receive our main course which was really a dissapointment..no information in the meantime why it was delayed. But bar on the other hand is very nice. It is a good place to rewind after a day in the city and the have some very nice craft beer!

When I checked-in. No idea of my booking. Receptionist was almost as sleep behind the desk. No idea of my silver status. Asked him several things "No idea" was the reply on my questions. Asked before hand if possible of having highest floor possible. Did not even bother to check and reply back or even reply when checking- in. Had to show him about the free drink. He had no idea, so the reply was that he cant give it to me.

Perfect place to stay in Mitte, close to U-bahn, and other public transport. Close to many intresting sightseeing spots aswell. The breakfast is tasty with lot to choose from. Very friendly staff in reception, breakfast and in the bar. Perfect If you travel by car, a garage under the hotel, very easy to reach. We have stayed here four or five times and we have never been disappointed. We will be back.

The location of this hotel is excellent. Right on a tram line and very close to another line and a U—bahn station, or just 10 minutes walk to the main train station. The room was quite small, and the bathroom smaller again, but if you’re not planning to spend much time in the room, then this isn’t a problem. Overall, an affordable, convenient hotel that I would stay at again.

    1. It would be helpful, to have at the entrance of the restaurant also an English text, that the guests have to wait until someone welcomes them. It was only in German. Thanks! 2. That was great that you had gluten free bread. But I didn't see any info/note next to the bread area. Maybe there was, but not so clear visible? Please write there a note so that people in case needed, can ask the personal. Thanks!

Comfortable hotel. Lots of stuff to do close by. Parking underground is kind of tight and is extra cost on the bill.

I booked this hotel for a quick city visit. It's very convenient when arriving by train into Berlin Hauptbahnhof; maybe a 15 min walk, but only two tram stops, which makes it easier with luggage. The rooms are not huge, but that is quite common with city centre hotels. Check-in and -out were both friendly and efficient. Our room was on the sixth floor, and was actually pretty quiet. There are no dramatic scenic views or anything, but the rooms are perfectly clean and tidy. The housekeeping staff is very friendly. We chose to have breakfast. There is a good choice for both meat eaters and veggies/vegans alike. You can ask for different kinds of eggs, and even falafel to order. I enjoyed the different joghurts and desserts. Have to love cake for breakfast. Although all the staff we met at reception, housekeeping, and in the bar were all very pleasant, I have to say that the breakfast team were outstanding! Coffee pot to table very promptly, checking if we were aware of the extra items we could order, and generally making nice conversation. They seemed to get on well with each other too, which is really nice to see. The woman who was in charge during our stay (sorry, didn't note her name, but a German woman with blonde hair) was especially lovely, chatting with everyone, but also making sure everything ran well. Thank you!! All in all, a good hotel in a great location. Lots of places to eat within walking distance, but also great public transport options within moments from the front door. Will definitely stay here again during another visit.

Excellent location with great convenience to U bahn and tram. Great room with all amenities. Only thing it didn't have was a kettle but I used nespresso machine to produce hot water. Thank you to the team of Mercure Berlin City on making our room extra special - with roses, nibble platters and champagne to celebrate our honeymoon!

Outstanding location and on U-bahn line U9, easy access to all central locations. Room was clean and adequate. Didn’t use any other facilities. If you need to iron they send you to a funny room with an old school iron, bring your own water!

  • 4/5 Cat F. 10 months ago on Google
I stayed here for the duration of a creative conference and it was well-located, with many restaurants and cafes within walking distance, and easy access to public transport with the tram and U-bahn very close by. The breakfast buffet provided a good selection of cooked foods and also cereal, yogurt, fruit, and selection of cold items - cold meats, cheese, etc. The room was cleaned on a regular basis, with fresh towels. I also tried the room service one evening, to get the classic burger and fries from the hotel restaurant - it's good! The only thing missing is that the room could maybe use a fridge, in case you want to store something. My room had a bit of a weird set up, with a window directly from the room onto the bathroom, which was fine as I was staying by myself, but in case anyone is sharing, worth noting that there is no privacy for the bathroom. The checkout is generously until 12pm, and the hotel has a luggage room. Staff were helpful and the reception desk was almost always staffed whenever I was there.
