Top-notch
location;
a
fun
&
quirky
atmosphere.
Overview:
The
Circus
Hotel
is
probably
the
elder,
soberer
&
refined
sibling
of
the
probably
more
recognized
Circus
HoStel.
Property
&
Room:
Located
at
the
junction
of
Rosenthaler
Platz,
it's
about
a
15-minute
tram
ride
from
the
Berlin
HBF
and
is
located
close
to
many
restaurants,
&
bars
and
is
probably
not
the
most
touristy
part
of
the
city
-
which
is
a
good
thing!
The
reception
is
unassuming
but
intimate
and
on
the
ground
floor
along
with
their
famous
bar
&
restaurant
(unfortunately
didn't
try
either).
The
pathways
in
the
hotel
for
some
reason,
best
known
to
the
Europeans
and
Scandinavians,
are
dim,
if
not
out-rightly
dark.
But
once
you
do
manage
your
room
(YOUR
room),
it's
a
typical
theme
continues
-
while
not
the
best
lit,
still
unique
and
quirky.
The
smallish-medium
sized
room
was
well
appointed.
The
sole
window
provides
a
glimpse
of
the
Berlin
TV
tower
and
their
verandah.
There
were
a
couple
of
storage
areas,
a
coffee
table
with
2
chairs
along
with
a
small
Bose
boombox
and
the
works.
The
bathroom,
though
also
smallish
was
clean
and
well
designed.We
got
a
room
facing
the
inner
veranda,
so
was
quiet.
Assuming
the
rooms
facing
the
road
may
be
a
little
noisier.
F&B:
Unfortunately
we
didn't
try
any
of
their
F&B
offerings,
however,
we
did
go
to
their
other
dining
outlet
at
the
Hostel
(which
expectedly
has
a
younger
&
livelier
vibe)
for
breakfast
(while
basic,
still
a
steal
for
EUR
5
-
it's
unlimited
and
healthy)
and
to
their
bar
too
(in
the
hostel)
-
the
folks
at
the
hotel's
reception
gave
us
a
few
vouchers
to
try
their
brewed
beers
in
the
hostel's
bar
-
which
were
really
awesome!
But
the
place
has
multiple
dining
options
-
across
all
cuisines
&
budgets.
Please
do
try
to
visit
the
24x7
Rosenthaler
Grill
&
Schlemmerbuffet
for
excellent
Middle
Eastern
food
and
with
oodles
of
character
Service
&
Amenities:
Limited
scope
to
experience
either,
but
some
highlights:
-
really
friendly,
pleasant
&
helpful
folks
at
the
hotel
(and
hostel's)
receptions
-
some
amenities
are
indeed
quite
top-notch
like
the
Bose
Bluetooth
boombox,
etc.
Overall:
All-in-all,
a
very
well
located
hotel,
with
good
rooms,
a
very
chic
vibe
&
lots
of
character
and
as
importantly
well-priced
(but
yes,
please
do
improve
the
internal
lighting!).
