This is an excellent hotel, especially for its price point. Incredibly well located, a 2-minute walk from Checkpoint Charlie and on the same street as a large section of the Wall. You can easily walk to Postdam Platz and Gendarmenmarkt. The neighbourhood is quiet, yet it has tons of cafes and restaurants, ranging from counters to Michelin-started restaurants. The hotel itself is larger than expected, it has a nice lobby and connects directly to a Caribbean restaurant that serves delicious cocktails and food. My room was spacious and well designed, with a fridge, a safe and enough room to store clothes. I hesitated between a hotel on Alexanderplatz and this one, and I’m glad I chose Select Hotel The Wall.

4 words to sum up this hotel. Location, location, location and clean. Actually that's not fair. The entire team from cleaners to the front desk to the crew in the breakfast room are doing a great job. I stayed 5 nights and enjoyed the stay very much. Thanks to Marcel and the team! I will be back. (So why not a 5 star review. One minor issue...lack of food options onsite). Apart from that brilliant. Danke!

Excellent location close to 2 metro stations, grocery store close by and a pretty good restaurant attached. The rooms are clean, A/C works, they also have a system that if you skip room cleaning for a day that gives you a drinks voucher and a euro is donated to charity which is great! I would recommend it. I did not eat their breakfast so not sure about it

Great location. Rooms were okay. We had to change due to cat/dog hair. New room had a face mask hanging off the smoke detector for the duration. Breakfast staff were excellent, very friendly.

Multiple management problems in this hotel, in my experience, (I stayed for a week): the shower was broken in my room, in the breakfast they watched the toast broken for a week not doing anything about it, at the desk they try to charge a tax that we had already paid and didn’t answer or even look at the email messages from the production that booked the hotel for us and wanted to solve the problem. The workers are lost and uninformed. The hotel also doesn’t have any partnerships with gyms or restaurants around or any form of facility. I don’t really find it super well located, as the immediate surroundings can’t offer more than the the touristic spots, but you can walk 30 min to kreuzberg where the things happen more. Don’t really recommend it, there are better options for sure.

Love this hotel I’ll be coming back. Very kind staff, especially the blonde male receptionist. Comfy bed and good location.

Great location for local museums, transportation and other amenities. Would recommend staying here if you are visiting. Only downer on our stay was the fire-drill on our first night. Fire evacuation seemed chaotic with noone shepherding guests out the buidling to the rally point. In fact, a number of guests remained in the lobby - even the police and fire brigade didn't get these people out of the building.

Lovely fairly new hotel. Good service, breakfast was great with some good options for gluten free and lactose free people, which was great as well. Fantastic location a two minute stroll to Checkpoint Charlie. Also very close to hop on hop off bus stops so all in all as central as we needed.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön. Sehr netter Service .

Select Hotel’s location is a perfect spot for tourists like our family. It is an 10 min walking distance from the Mall of Berlin and 4 min walk to the hop on hop off buses. Most of the staff were nice, friendly, and welcoming. We booked 2 rooms but were too far from each other. The apartment room was a decent size with a mini kitchen. Rooms were clean but with no ambiance looking out from the windows. The breakfast had a lot of food and drink selections and very spacious. Now, let’s tackle the sad parts of our stay and really needs improvements. I had a shower last night the first night and halfway realized and there was water everywhere inside the washroom all the way to the mini kitchen’s floor. Mind you I haven’t fully rinsed all the soap! Tried calling the receptionist but the phone was broken. My sister had to run down to the front desk to report. Staff came to checked the problem and did not really address the problem inside brought multiple towels to dry the floor and told us not to shower. And said that another guest also reported same problem. Verbatim: “the plumber will not be able available right now because he is in the bar so we have to wait until tomorrow.” I asked if we could be transferred to another room and agreed but will be a downgraded one. Weighed pros and cons and decided to stay in our room since it was already past 10 PM and my parents were already asleep so it is wise to just wait until morning. Unfortunately, no one came to check or repair anything. Cleaning lady was nice but failed to replenish our toiletries. Lacking toilet papers and paper towels. The coffee maker was also not working. Very limited channels with one English translated show which was channel 63. Subtitles not working. I tried not to sound whiny but that was our honest experience.

Great experience and service. We met Riccardo that was amazing and helped us to plan our vacation in the best way possible. Hope to come here again one day!

TERRIBLE HOTEL!. Every single day we were missing something. If it’s not the soap it’s the towels or toilet paper. There’s no iron in the room, so it’s shared by all guests👎🏽. The fridge in the room is empty and there’s no ice machine available, they send you to the bar to get ice. Motels run better if you ask me. Positive- Breakfast was pretty good, and the location is perfect. I would not stay here if I was you 💩Just saying🙅🏻‍♂️I almost forgot , both elevators out of service. Total disaster from the wall from hell😡

For a four star it was only okay.. had to buy our own kettle to get our coffee fix.. even 2 stars in uk have drink making facilities. Very little storage space.. kept my clothes in suitcase.. no English tv channels. Bar/reception the chairs look great, but you can't sit on them properly. Good wifi.. so connected chromecast to watch uk channels. Friendly staff.. very friendly in fact.

The rooms were ok, tho the cupboards were dirty and the room smelled a bit, the TV didn't work properly( channels randomly turning off), but the locations is amazing, close to the Berlin's main historical monuments and attractions, many food places nearby, me and my boyfriend enjoyed the stay! It was hard to find at first but we managed. The only thing I was missing were the women's supplies like pads or tampons. The service was helpful tho they didn't notice us standing by the counter, probably busy with something. She let us early into our room so that's very good. Overall 4/5. If the room was cleaner and less smelly, it'd be 5/5. For it's price it's ok.

Poor recepcionist experience. They day before check in we were promised to be given a suite room and the day of check in, they say they dont have availability and give us a normal room. Poor experience and also rude. They told me if i have written confirmation about this.. dont trust what the receptionists say in this hotel! Also, super rude attitude

The hotel is in a great location close to downtown and all of the sites to see in Berlin. The rooms are clean and are in nice condition. They are a little small side, but they get the job done. The breakfast has a good spread and is well worth it in my mind. The staff speaks English and is friendly and helpful.

Worst housekeeping!! They left bin with rubbish! See the photo that was the situation when I came back on the first day night. They even couldn’t replace a clean glass throughout the three nights I stayed. Poor facilities at room, only glass, towel and toilet paper provided. No kettle, tea, nor instant coffee. Thin wall! I could hear everything from lift lobby and next door was staff room. I didn’t know who was working so hard at 11pm! The only advantage of this hotel is location

Quiet hotel, central location near checkpoint Charlie. I thought this was near east wall gallery - so don’t be confused like I was! This is far from there but still a good location and a pleasant stay.

If you need Wi-Fi DO NOT COME TO THIS HOTEL because internet doesn’t work. After a long day of walking on the beautiful streets of Berlin, you wanna talk to friends and family or do a work related activity, but you just can’t. I’ll never come to this hotel again.

Really dissapointing booking experience. We cannot go due to new covid restrictions (UK to Germany) and the hotel are refusing to refund, change the dates or even issue credit for the future. Money down the drain (in the hotels pockets). Will not book again and do not recommend this company.

I visited Berlin and stayed in Select hotel Berlin The wall between 18/9 till 22/9/21. The hotel rooms were clean and decent size. They had a fridge and a TV in the room. Kettle and tea bags were provided on request. I requested an iron which they couldn’t provide due to covid (at least that’s the reason they gave us). It was a decent buffet. I would like to see a menu to order so I can choose what I want to eat. The hotel was booked by my fiancée under his name, but I was the actual guest staying. My airline lost my baggage so it had to be delivered to my hotel. On 18/9 I wrote my name with details of my baggage and gave it at hotel reception. The next day bag was going to be delivered between 1400-1800. The bag arrived at 1430 but the hotel returned the delivery guy saying that their is no guest at the hotel with this name. I was under so much stress that even after providing my details the night before staff returned my baggage. I came down and spoke to Tony at reception who apologised. He made a call to the baggage company to advise them that their has been a mistake and in fact baggage owner is staying at the hotel. I went back to the room with no hope. Luckily Tony at reception made at least 6 calls to ensure I get my bag re-delivered. If it wasn’t for the him maybe I wouldn’t have had my luggage second time around on the same day. If the night staff passed on the information to the morning staff this would have never happened. I still recommend a stay at this hotel due to its location and staff members like Tony who made a difference to my stay.

The hotel, room amd bathroom were very nice, modern and comfortable. Breakfast was superb, except for the orange juice as usual. Location perfect for exploring the highlights of Berlin. It was pretty weird that we arrived at exactly 15:00 (the check in time) and we were firstly asked to wait some time because our room was not ready. Being in Berlin for one night only and already at check in time, we did not take that and told 3 times to the recepcionist that they had to had a room ready at 15:00 and only then another person from the staff appeared and accomodated us in a room. Hotels don't give free passes on check out times and we are paying since 15:00 to use the room, so if you are cutting the cleaning staff due to corona or whatever, make sure to organize better which rooms to have ready first, please. Nevertheless, this setback was quickly solved by the hotel staff once we refused to wait. We would choose it again.

Couldn't be happier with this hotel. It's near many facilities including a free museum. The staff is friendly and helpful. The room itself is spotless and comfortable. Really good shower and nice hot water. I will totally book again when back to Berlin.

Simply 10/10. The staff was very friendly and professional, the room was a great size and very clean, the bathroom was good and clean (love the shower head with different settings!!!) And the location was perfect as well, close to the U6, Checkpoint Charlie, the mall of Berlin and a free ww2 museum. If you can, go here!!!

It was not a pleasent stay for us with a couple of not acceptable problems. 1. Two minutes after we arrived our room, our the door was knocked and someone jumped in without even waiting for a response for a couple of seconds. It turned out he was a technician, but definetely not acceptable. That could be a very a unpleasent situation! 2. We had very cold two nights, air conditioning is simply not in a power of dealing with Berlin's -3 weather. We told it on the first midnight, but probably they didn't bother to think about a solution. We had to ask for extra blankets which we carried from lobby to room. 3. The bathroom was not in a cleaning condition where you could feel it is a 8+ rated hotel. 4. The carpet in the room looks so dirty you feel better wearing shoes all the time. on averall not worth the money.

Hotel was lovely and a great location. Room was large with a comfortable bed. Both room and bathroom clean. We enjoyed the offer of a free drink if we did not request the room to be cleaned each day. I didn't enjoy that there was no kettle or coffee making facilities in the room, I would have liked to have a coffee in the morning in the room and not have to go down to reception for it. Other than this minor issue, we would stay again.

Excellent location, very clean and very friendly staff. The room was a good size for a city hotel. Breakfast was nice but not worth the cost in my opinion. Very good coffee is available from the front desk in the mornings. We had to change the date of our stay due to catching covid and the hotel were very helpful with this with great communication via email.

Nice and clean rooms, quite small...but not there to stay inside. Wifi, Ethernet, minibar and an excellent air condition. Breakfast was very good. The front desk was also very helpful. Located smack in the middle of many attraction. I really recommend it for the price

Perfect hotel in a perfect location. Stayed here for 5 nights and I couldn’t fault anything. Warm welcoming at reception desk, room was very modern and clean, separate dressing room in our room, big modern bathroom and a lovely kitchen. The air conditioning worked wonders, beds were very comfy and the whole set up of the room worked very well. Hotel is 2min walk away from check point Charlie, 5min walk from Berlin Wall and a 10min walk to the nearest tube stop. Plenty of things to do in the location. Will definitely be staying here again when I return to Berlin

It's OK. The night staff are very good. Sounds isolation is good so quiet room. Location is great in relation to attractions but poor for any night time food or drinks. The room itself small with comfortable bed. Probably not worth the price however. Would consider cheaper East Side gallary / Kreuzberg locations if you are in your twenties or thirties.

Just 2 min from the Checkpoint Charlie in a very quiet street though. U6 metro station is near (3min) and U2 metro just 5 min. The hotel is nice, modern with easy and quick check in. Room was big and very well soundproofed! Bathroom was huge with good quality on shampoo and liquid soap .Wi-Fi signal was strong, the heat in the room was as I liked it (not too hot) ,mattress was good ! There was a safe and a refrigerator in the room . It was the perfect choice for a very good offer we had . The only thing i didn’t like was that they never filled out shower gel the last three days of our stay

The hotel is localed very close to Uber stations and 2 markets. The rooms are confortable, the one we stayed had a little kitchen what is great. The staff and receptionists are very kind, they helped us choosing our transport to the airport.

Very nice hotel, clean, fresh and good size room/bathroom. We where positive surprised by the breakfast, they served near enough everything (soft & hard bread, a selection of cerials, cheeses, diffrent hams and sausages, croissants, fruit- you name it!) Friendly staff, love to come back!🌸

The apartments are an amazing place for a medium or long term stay due to the kitchenette and the, comfortable remote work desk+chair in the room, plus reliable free wifi. Great for people who enjoy privacy because there are very few staff and they don't intrude. But when you need help (I extended my stay twice) they go above and beyond to make your life as easy as possible. And the breakfast buffet is quite nice.
