Worst place ever! I will never recommend to anyone. To start, when we arrived they wanted to put us in different rooms (despite the fact that we booked two beds at the same time). After that, they “managed” to put us in a shared room that was the worst nightmare! Extremely smelly (feet!). Ok, it is a shared room and we were unlucky with the companions, but the bathroom, no surprises was also extremely dirty! We asked them several times to change to a Private room (unfortunately they were totally booked), so we kindly asked them to send someone to clean at least the bathroom. Well, they only came the next day, after asking for the second time. The “cleaning” was just a swept, while the sink and toilet are still dirty and no clean towels. Simply the worst place ever! The 1 star is just because the receptionists are all very nice person, and super helpful. Other than that, is a 0 for me!

Came here on a uni study trip and the hotel was great. Super hot shower and comfy beads. Definitely should have utilised the kitchen more as the breakfast was a bit disappointing, mostly that all the cereals had milk in. Selection of fruit and spreads were great and the bread was delicious, though things can go quickly when groups of school kids are there Great bar and great prices

A very large building with 7 or 8 floors ( they have an elevator) The staff at the reception are very friendly and helpful. They have washing machine but the dryer haven't been working , so we had to go a few streets below in another hostel to dry our clothes. Medium-sized kitchen has all the necessary things with spices. Large space for socializing and enjoying the company of others. The rooms are very clean, tidy, and regularly maintained. Towels are free. A large bar with cheap prices which offers a variety of foods. Location is perfect 50 meters away from central train station, and super close to city centre. All in all, it's a very good place, I definitely recommend it !!! But what is the highlight of our stay in this facility is Paul one of the bartenders. In the last 10 months I have been to many places and met many people, I can say with certainty that he is one of those that you can talk to like a friend youve known for 10 years! Highly professional, genuine fella! Paul, if you're reading this, thank you for everything, and I hope to see you again. 👍

Myself and my daughter chose this hotel to launch our European '5 cities in 10 days tour'. The check in was quick and efficient, we were able to get a drink in the bar even though it was after midnight. The room was basic but very clean and due to the door being very sturdy, our belongings felt very secure. We were both surprised at how quiet it was in the room, as it felt quite busy downstairs, we were pleasantly surprised. We chose to pay for breakfast and this was a very good offering on both days. The bar was pleasant in the evening and we noted there was a guest kitchen available which looked clean and presentable (although we did not use this). On the second day we stored our cases in the pay lockers, we feel this is a really helpful service and it was 4 euro per locker for 6 hours. Finally, all staff encountered were friendly and helpful and in terms of location- it was absolutely perfect for the station. The city tourist bus also collects directly outside the hotel, a massive bonus for us, as i had booked this in advance. Overall, a great experience. The only thing that could have improved this is tea/coffee making facilities in the room, as the price was relatively cheap, this is no reason to not book this hotel.

Hostel with great location just in front of the central station. The people working there should be friendlier. There was a guy mopping the floor just hitting everyone. Ten rooms are good and clean The kitchen is really small, has a lot of chairs but are for the bar/restaurant So if you want to prepare something to eat and joy is very limited

We only spent one night here, but our experience was very pleasant. The reception staff was very friendly, the room was clean and had good noise insulation, and the value for money was very good. The hotel also gets bonus points for being dog-friendly, having a storage room, and even having a guest kitchen with washing machines, which is something I have never seen before! My only remarks are that there was no mini-bar in our room, and we had an issue with the sink plug.

Rooms are not clean at all, only did the beds and the rest was stained - UNACCEPTABLE. The noise at night was another reason why i am rating this so low. The staff had no control over the guests whatsoever. People were being loud and partying in their rooms AFTER 10P.M !!!! I will definitely not recommend this Hotel to ANYONE- not even my worst enemy. The only good thing is that it is not far away from the main railway station, but you can get way better service for this price. do better…

Spent the night here on a trip with my wife and mother-in-law and we were very positively surprised. For such a low price at such a central location our stay was almost unreasonably comfortable. Our room was small but clean and offered everything one would reasonably expect (private toilet+shower, soap and shower gel, hair drier, TV, towels for each of us, ...). The breakfast was great and the hotel even offers a common kitchen to prepare your own meals that looked clean and inviting (though we didn't end up using it as we spent the whole day in the city).

Nice hotel with decent facilities and a great view of the Central Station from the top floors with mostly the location going for it. You honestly can’t beat this if you have a late arrival or an early departure. They also have a useful luggage storage. Although it is cheaper in the train station so used that instead. I do not recommend staying for more than two nights as it is super tiny and felt crowded which is honestly not that comfortable. As a result of the location, it’s always going to get booked fast so there are fewer chances to have a partially vacant dorm room which can make up for the sizes of the room.

Location is great especially if you have to catch an early morning train. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was rather small for the price they charge and they must consider upgrading the mattress. Overall it was a nice stay but it would have been a value for money deal if it was 30 to 40 euros less per night.

The room was dirty, especially the bathroom. Breakfast Buffet was under the normal hotel standards. The location is quite good at the central station of Berlin. The floors can be more clean! Please be aware of clean rooms and better reception and hotel services! The Price was cheap. The reception and the handling were a disaster. Please be better prepared for your hotel guests.

One of the best hostels I've ever been, the rooms are really comfortable and the bathroom has everything necessary. Also there’s a guest kitchen open to everyone where you can cook and store your food. On top of that all the stuff is very nice and helpful. P.S: The receptionist very cute

Right next to the train station and near the dome with a good view of the ball and stick diagram, this divine CoMBanAtiOn of locations near hotel makes it a prime area for staying if you are looking for a no nonsense walking experience. however if you are looking for a 5 star hotel experience then this is NOT FOR YOU! First of all too many little grimy and grubby children so stay in your room to avoid them. This made the downstairs food and facilities a nuisance too use. Secondly the food was not very nice and was definitely cooked on a very tight budget. Thirdly the rooms were very mid everything was up to scratch and the people in my dorm were alright especially mark. SHOUTOUT TO MARK. Fourthly the location of the hotel was very nice we were able to walk to the dome, ball and stick diagram, museums and a train station with lots of food options. In conclusion: Super mid rooms Super annoying kids Super good location and value

Very disappointed with this stay. Location is the only thing I can say was positive about the hotel. I’m shared rooms you aren’t able to lock your things away. The bathroom was disgusting- mould on the shower curtains and in the shower. Not cleaned regularly like it smelt very stale and musty. The rooms were very hot so it’s a very uncomfortable sleep. No curtains on the bunks so there is no privacy, I was in a mixed dorm and I’m fine sharing but definitely think privacy curtains are a must. The whole hotel had a musty smell. The rooftop terrace had signs everywhere saying it was forbidden to go there. There were also so many young children and families here and teenagers. If you are after a hostel experience this isn’t for you.

Very good location, directly next to the main train station. Staff are friendly and helpful. I luckily was the only person in a 4 bunker bed bedroom. I did not try the breakfast or other facilities so I do not know how good they are.

Very cheap accommodation, great for groups and students like us, easy access to the center via metro or with the bikes, around 5 minutes to braderburg gate. The staff was really kind. Although we put the banner on the door to clean our room every day but it never happened. I'm very disappointed about the cleaning but for the money we paid it was worth it. The place also provides luggage room in case you don't want pay for another day only to keep your luggage somewhere.

Perfectly superb. 5 star location, just few steps away from Berlin Railway Station, so all kind of public transport is just few steps away. Hotel is neat and clean, rooms are more neat than expected. I took a bed in dormitory room, but it is excellent. Thoroughly clean, spacious, with a window to station side. Bathroom is so good and shinning. Staff at reception is quick, supportive, and friendly. High recommended place in Berlin if you want to stay at a superb place with your budget price .

Good for what I paid. Super central and easy to get to. Smelly dank bathroom. Surprisingly comfortable bed. 4 maximum people to a room is a nice recipe for a restful sleep. Lockers are a nice amenity, and they’re extra. Both Meininger hostel shared room experiences have been good!

We were really happy with our stay here! The location is ideal, only 20 minutes walk from the HB. There were some terrific restaurants nearby including an awesome Falafel place. A mall is next door, there's a cool Asian supermarket plus a cute waffle shop at the corner. The room was clean and comfortable, nice for our kid, too. We look forward to staying here whenever we're in Berlin.

The location is very good if you need to catch a train. Just 2 min from the main station. Although I'm not sure if you'll find your sleep, while staying here. The beds are very old, the pillows are hard like stone. You head is much higher then your butt while sleeping. Bathrooms are clean though

The position of the hostel right next to the Hauptbahnhof immensely facilitated our days visiting the city. Not just for transportation, but also for food buying, since the station has a supermarket that opens on Sundays. The locker room in the hostel is top notch! And our room was quite cozy and well equipped. I just wished we could have lockers inside the room as well. As for the lounge area, it was always very comfortable, clean and welcoming. The kitchen was also just on point for our needs, though a little tight given the size of the hostel. Overall it was the best place we could have stayed in Berlin!

Cheap and cheerful! Located next to Berlin central train station and a 10 minute walk from the Reichstag building. Rooms were basic but all you need for a city break - Bed, private shower, plug sockets, locked doors, TV. Downstairs reception appeared to be open 24/7. Good reception bar/ restaurant. Perfect place for someone to stay in Berlin on a budget.

Receptionists were really perfect. We booked 4-guest-room first. However, it was not comfortable to stay 4 people at the same room. Then we applied to receptionist lady to separate it as two rooms for 2 guests each. They separated it and did not demand any extra money. On the other hand, because our 4-guests-room was a bit cold for the first day before separating us, they provided us free breakfast as the compensation of this situation. This was really professional and made us very satisfied in terms of hospitality and accommodation service. If I come to Berlin again, I would definitely stay here... Perfect location, 1-minute-walk to Hauftbahnof train station. Clean rooms. Cosy atmosphere of the hotel. You can stay here with no reservation whatsoever.

Hostel is in a great location right outside the central station. Room was clean and modern. Beds were comfortable. Reception staff helpful. Decent cafe on ground floor for a coffee/pastry to start your day off. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a budget stay for a few nights.

It truly justifies its price. Everything was clean & tidy. The people at reception's desk are super friendly! If you're looking for a place to stay without burning a hole in your pocket then look no where because it is the best!!!!

The location and communal areas of the hostel were fantastic. The bedroom area was ok if a little bit dirty. However all the beds were comfortable and the bedding was very clean. The shower was a little bit mouldy and the water did not drain well. However, overall it was a great place to stay.

My stay was great. The room is really comfy and the hotel is literally next to the main train station, so it’s pretty well connected and also at walking distance from many attractions. The kitchen is ok but lacks plates for everyone. What I didn’t like was the fact that they don’t let you leave your bags for free. That should be a must for every hotel.

  • 4/5 Przemysław F. 8 months ago on Google
Very smooth and fast check-in process, friendly and helpful staff. Guests can use the kitchen, which is a bit crowded in the morning and the evening, but people don't interrupt each other. Rooms are small, but it's not a problem if you spend most of your time outside. They're clean and well equipped (comfortable beds, table, chairs, shelves, tv, hair dryer in the bathroom, towels, a lot of power outlets). Generally, the hotel is really nice. Although it's next to the train station, the train noises are almost unnoticeable. The bigger problem are noises from the street, especially music which sometimes plays even until 2 or 3 am and is really loud. Also, there is no air conditioning in the rooms, so it's really hot inside. It's not a big deal during the day if you don't spend much time in the room, but at night it makes it really hard to sleep. Anyway, if you are looking for a great, modern hotel close to all main tourist attractions in the city, I would definitely recommend this one.

Great hostel with 4-beds dormitories. Nothing too fancy but a great room with a lot of space and room to spare. The bathroom is really big and everything is clean. Bed are comfy and that’s all we needed. I’d recommend going there as the metro station is right next to the hostel and you can go pretty much everywhere from there. It’s also a great way to meet great people and experience new things !

Excellent place to stay for a short time in Berlin. The reception teams is very helpful and very passionate. The property can be packed due to some youth groups, and it can make long lines during the breakfast. There is not espresso machine in the breakfast room only filter coffee.

I really enjoyed my stay in the hostel. Although I thought the room was a bit warm so it would have been good of the window opened a bit more. I really enjoyed meeting Paul from Bolton at breakfast, he's a really nice guy and I think is an asset to this branch.

Excellent location just 2 minutes walk from the Berlin Central station, very well placed near the train connections. Good clean rooms though they are a bit compact and less space to keep our stuff! We had booked a triple room for family. Great staff and always helpful. Excellent spread of breakfast to start your day.

Great location, nice large common area, easy check-in process, strong WiFi. Glad the guest kitchen and laundry exist, but it was a small crowded area. Why only 1 set of laundry machines, they were constantly in use and more could be needed. The drains in my room's sink and shower were clogged and slow to drain. The room was a bit warm even on a 22 degree evening, more airflow needed with 4 people in a small room. I liked how helpful the staff was.

It has amazing location, can't get any better if you are on a budget and do not care much about a bigger, fancy room. Seems ideal to me when your primary objective is to explore the city and need a place to have a good night rest. We had a room for 4 and it was bit cramped especially the bathroom. The beds were very comfortable and room was very clean. Overall, the hotel has a modern trendy look and very friendly reception team. Recommended for sure !!

The hotel is nice and well located. However the ad said the room had air conditioning and there wasn’t even a fan. When I asked at the reception, they didn’t want to give a fan saying it was only for private rooms, and when finally agreed, requested a €20 cash deposit. To keep lights on in the room we had to keep a room card in a specific place at all times, but no one told me this when I checked in - I woke up and my phone wasn’t charging anymore. Again, when I asked at the reception they were rude as if I should have guessed how the room works. Hotel is overall good, breakfast is good (but not worth the price), still I didn’t have a good experience.

For those who like staying in a Hostel (multiple beds in one room) this is a good choice. The place is clean, modern, with a nice lobby, free, fast WiFi, and the location is perfect, right next to the train station. The room was rather small, no place to store your luggage for example, but everything was clean, and the mattress was good.

  • 3/5 High K. 5 months ago on Google
Stuff at the reception was super nice! We asked for pillows and got them a few hours later. the reason why we asked for pillows was because the pillows were not good at all.. it was like balls of cotton inside, and both me and my friend woke up with neck pain. We ended up receiving the exact same pillows... overall the stay was good. but the pillows man...

Very conveniently located, right next to Berlin Central station. Room was very small but clean with a spacious en-suite shower room. The bed wasn’t particularly comfortable (bit too narrow) but was ok compared the pillow they provided - the pillow was a lumpy cushion that had no structure to it whatsoever - might as well have not had one! Please please invest in some good pillows! Apart from that, I have no other criticisms. Good service, polite, friendly and helpful staff. Considering its location etc, I think it was good value for money (apart from that pillow!!!).

  • 4/5 Edward E. 3 months ago on Google New
The staff are nice and for the price you get a decent accommodation. The room was not in the best condition specially there was mold in the shower and one of the bed sheets was a stain presumed to be coffee, but overall it was adequate and I don't have any major complaints.

Love love love the location just under a minute walk from train station. There is a lovely small self service kitchen with stove and microwave oven. Just remember to clean up after using it.

Everything was amazing- location, amenities and facilities etc. Bad things- the guest kitchen was not operational and was not informed about it. i requested for a towel twice but was refused saying they don't have any fresh ones currently. curtains on each bed in shared rooms were missing, Check-in took long, only one counter open, there were two staff member busy talking to each other, they saw the long line but still continues talking instead of opening a counter. Apart from this, my stay was cost effective and memorable.

The shared female room with 4 beds has a great size and the bathroom it is wonderful for a dorm room! The elevator it is definitely a mega plus! The guests kitchen is well equipped, tidy and clean. The location, only 2 minutes walking from Berlin Central Station, it is perfect! Staff it was helpful at all times.

  • 4/5 Gintarė L. 2 years ago on Google
The Room ventilation was very loud, we couldn't normally sleep. The Staff was working very slow, it took more than 30min to check in, although there are no other people. Noone asked us for vaccination pass, although it is mandatory. So I couldn't feel safe between other guests. It was to crowded at the breakfast and no distance could be hold. Breakfast was worth the money. I strongly recommend it for everyone, who stays at this hotel. The Room was clean and well furnished. Location is very close to main station and the city centre as well.

Disappointing experience ! We stayed for a few days and the room was hardly ever cleaned. We ran out of towels. We asked for an extra pillow and this was unavailable. At one time we were refused breakfast by the girl at the entrance but this was sorted by her colleague since our booking included breakfast. Most staff at reception were helpful and courteous. But housekeeping management next to hopeless. Sanitisers at entrance always empty. Proximity to station perfect and breakfast good. Never stayed in a hotel where an extra pillow was not provided...and room was not cleaned everyday ...and towels replaced. Pity ... will definitely not stay there again and neither recommend to anyone !

In a few words a very amazing hotel very nice staff that had all answers to your questions, changed also date from 2 nights to 1 night without any charge one thing that I’m really disappointed is that there is no air conditioning. I get it’s a small room, it’s cheap but still…. it felt 30/25 Celsius in the room. So incase your gonna book a cheap room be sure to bring a fan or something. For rest of all its all good bed very comfy. I would really recommend it if you go a day trip to Berlin. One thing I need to note is don’t go very early to Berlin because you can only check in at 15:00 so that’s a good thing to keep in mind. After all a good hotel!

Had a stay for one night without breakfast or dinner. Pricewise it was a good deal (approx. 40 Euro for the night booked on short notice). The room itself and the bathroom have been fine and clean, no issues here. Potential improvement: The mattresses on the twin bed always slit apart during the sleep. The exposed gap in between compromised my sleep. Maybe an additional strap or binder on the circumference of the bed frame could improve the situation. Maybe it was only the twin bed in my room. Also, it was quite noisy outside due to construction work during my stay. Unsure about a second stay. It will be a spontaneous decision.

  • 4/5 Petr P. 2 years ago on Google
It is not very comfortable, rooms are not big, one elevator doesn't work, but you are a few steps from Hauptbahnhof, beds are equipped with good matresses, there is hot water in the bathroom, all is perfectly clean and breakfast is very OK, including homemade cakes and lot of vegetables.

  • 5/5 Sharne Van der B. 2 years ago on Google
Despite being inundated with Ukrainian refugees checking in- in the middle of the night - the staff were fast and helpful. The room was adequate size - clean beds - clean bathroom - quiet room. It was a little hot but cooler with the window open. The only issue was the noise from the parked buses outside with their engines running and the noise from the trash trucks in the morning(early). Kitchen is currently closed so don't expect a la cartridge breakfast- but waiting staff are lovely and breakfast is adequate. Hate - hate - hate Germany for the mask wearing mind control still in existence 🤬🤬🤬

The hotel is so central you can even walk to Alexanderplatz or because it's near train station you can go everywhere easily. Even though it's budget hotel room was clean. It was a little small but for 3 people it was enough. Thanks to nice hotel staff.

Very good place to stay for a short city tour. You can travel by foot to most of Berlin attractions. Or use a city transport to see it all. If you consider price you will receive a very clean room and fresh breakfast. Unfortunately there is nothing hot to eat on the morning

  • 1/5 Uwe D. 2 years ago on Google
Breakfast selection is good. The fact that the rooms are small is well-known. The personnel at the reception speaks some kind of English, which is acceptable. Apparently they don't understand the meaning of the word "service". For a small question for help, as something wasn't working in the room, I had to go down 4 times. The state of the building and the rooms is bad. Currently (03-22) some part of the breakfast area is being renovated.

Very close to the berlin central station. I booked the room directly on the hotel website for the cheapest rate, 20% off for families. The room was small for the 4 of us ( 2 bunk beds). The kids loved it but not the Mrs!! The hotel was very busy while we stayed, there was no noise from other guest, some outside noise, siren and buses but nothing to bad. Bed was comfy, pillow a bit lumpy and room general clean. Room was warm. Very powerful shower. Reception staff polite and helpful with advice. breakfast staff great helpful and jolly.

This was a nightmare. Do not book this place in the summer, it's not worth it. If you need your rest, you won't be able to in their private rooms even. The hotel had AC but the rooms did not!! It was exhausting and there was no emphaty at all from the staff. Edit: Finally was contacted by customer service and they were a bit more understanding. Still remember there's no A/C check this about your room before booking

The only good thing about this hostel is the location — right next to Berlin Central Station. But beware. There are hidden charges. For example, they charge you for luggage storage — 2 euros PER HOUR before check-in, and 2 euros PER HOUR after check-out. The dorm rooms are extremely tiny and packed. It’s not suitable if you have a large suitcase. There’s simply no space for you to open it. Since the hotel is next to the train station, you will hear train announcements and sounds of train arriving and departing all night. To top it all off, the hostel accommodates many huge groups of loud school children. So it’s crowded and noisy even on a weekday. Don’t be tempted by the location. It’s not worth it.

The stay was comfortable. We stayed in a 4-bed mixed room which was cozy and had private bathroom. Bed sheets and towels included. Hand soap and body wash provided. All of the hotel is really clean. The attention by the staff was nice and friendly at all times. The breakfast buffet (not included) is worth it, it has a good variety of fresh and tasty options. I would recommend without a doubt.

Rooms have no natural light very dark and depressing but at the prices we paid, can't really complain. It's basically a hostel with a private bathroom kinda thing. Was cheap at the time though, so positive overall.

The accommodation is very clean. The staff are always smiling and friendly. They are ready to serve and give advice all the time. At first I was in a room that slept with other people. But then I felt uncomfortable with my roommates. Therefore requesting to change and upgrade to a single room The staff is happy to arrange everything. Last night, there was a fire evacuation drill. Even though it's a bit disturbing. But it gives me peace of mind that if something bad happens here, it can be controlled and dealt with quickly and systematically. Very good. I'm very impressed.

The property was clean and maintained well. The rooms were spacious and the steal was the Guest Kitchen and the Laundry services. Families who want to cook their own meals would be able as the amenities are in place. Located just next to the Berlin Central Station makes movements very easy.

I had a bed in a dormitory with other 3 people for one night. The room was small, but had a nice clean bathroom in the room. The water pressure of the shower was extremely low, and the check in took some time as there was only one open at that time. The location is very good, right next the main train station.

The location is great and the staff is very friendly and helpful. The beds are comfy to make sure to get a good rest. Shower gel even in the dormitory rooms (that we didn't get at another hostel in Berlin). The single room had enough space. The quality of the products used for breakfast needs improvement. But generally very positive impressions from the overall stay.

There was an option to stay in a 4 beds shared room (2 bunkbeds)- which was useful for 1 night stay over. The hotel is right near Berlin Central Station, easy to find and the area is pretty good. Everything went well, the hotel was neat and clean, the beds comfy and a bathroom in the room. We had quiet roommates. The room itself is not that spacious but great for a short stay.

First Solo trip alone, the hostel was really nice, very welcoming and friendly staff. The hostel itself was very clean and in a great location and it was super cheap for me to stay here. I stayed in the 4 bed sharing and I really don’t have any complaints. All bed areas have lockers and plugs so there is no issues with charging your phones in the evening. I met a lot of great people here and has made me comfortable with staying in a hostel again, would be happy to return here again. The only gripe I had that the top floor has a open roof Terrance and this was closed. Would be great if they could implement this space to a bar area.

Great location right next to central station. Friendly staff, quite a nice vibe with other travellers. Adequate kitchen. Room wasn't cleaned in day so previous travellers beer bottles and bed not changed.. perhaps just an oversight that day. Overall pretty good; good value for money

My stay at the hotel was incredibly comfortable. The room was spacious and well-designed, with a cozy bed and soft pillows that provided a restful sleep. The hotel's atmosphere was peaceful and serene, allowing me to unwind and relax after a long day of activities. The amenities, such as the luxurious spa and well-maintained fitness center, added to my overall comfort and enjoyment. The staff was attentive and accommodating, ensuring that all my needs were met. I truly felt at ease and pampered throughout my stay, making it a truly comfortable experience.

The hotel was clean, had nice and friendly staff, good rooms, and good breakfast. During our stay however it was around 25 C outside during the day and it didn’t get much better during the night, the room has no real AC or any fan you can use to regulate the temperature outside of 3 degrees higher or lower and we ended up sleeping with wet towels and no cover just to not feel over heated (Because the hotel is so central and we were on the first floor, keeping the window open was not an option). Summers like this have been a common thing in Europe for years now and I did expect the hotel to know this and work to still make the rooms nice during this time.

While the location was fantastic and the rooms were clean, I had a dreadful experience that completely ruined everything! The housekeeping staff barged into our room not once, not twice, but three times in a single day! No knocking, no warning—just waltzing right in, even after paying an extra 15 euros for late checkout. And guess what? The reception staff didn't lift a finger or take responsibility. They simply shrugged it off, blaming an external agency for the housekeeping mishap. If you decide to book here, be prepared to gamble with your privacy!

This was my first experience in a hostel. It doesn’t have any ac. Which in other places has not been a problem but the window barley opens and is hotter inside our room then it was outside. Made it completely unbearable to be in the room and sleep. Debated getting a room in a different hotel but decided against it as I was not staying in Berlin long. The room is clean and lobby is nice. There are lots of really young people there. Unfortunately we were not very comfortable with the other person in our room but not much to do about that. Would rather pay the same price or more to be able to actually get some sleep after a long day.

First, about the facilities : in all, they are great : there is a kitchen, a bar, a luggage room... But in details you start to see that the kitchen is really small for an hostel this size, with only one kitchen, there was no kettle the first few days I stayed in, the a real lack of saucepan, bowl large enough for soup and knife, scissor... And the microwave was really dirty. Second, the bathroom are a bit old, the room are way too small!!! And they lack isolation : you could hear the noise from outside and from the hallway. The handle of the door was broken and even stay in my hand once. Third, there is a luggage room BUT apparently you can only use it during the weekend so during the week you have to pay a 8€ locker to let you bag Which is sad, because 4th, the hostel in near the train station, which is mostly why you should get it. Otherwise it's a bit far from the lively center of Berlin. Finally, even though a prolonged my stay in the same kind of room, I still had to change room in the middle of my stay, going from an empty one to one who was fully packed (remember, rooms are really small) As the last one in the room, I took the only bed left. One of my roommate check out the next day and housekeeping throw away my stuff rather than his, so I just lost some valuable postcards, shells and other stuff I had collected through my journey, plus my earring bud and hairbrush, since I did not had planned to check out and that my bed who be cleaned up. As I went to the reception about it, they barely said sorry and did not offer some compensation AT ALL, even though I just had lost a lot of valuable stuff. Not even a postcard, or a cookie to wept my tears away. Or a cocktail to drown my sorrow, honestly... So overall, rooms are small, kitchen lack utensils, the hostel is far from the centre of Berlin but near the main train station, lack of a place to interact with other guests

I’ve got my foods in the fridge stolen. For two times. Even though I labeled them with my name on it, just like everyone else does. Also felt some expression of racism. What a great experience! If you want to know what people really are, this place is highly recommended.
