Wonderful Hotel In the hearth of Berlin, during the Christmas Time, its special, not just the building but the people working in. I wanted to personally give a big thank you to Pier from the Front Desk. We came for our anniversary my wife and I, and sadly the room we wanted was occupied, he managed to find a room for us that was even better than the one we had before, having a look over the beautiful Bebel square with the Christmas market, and made our anniversary even more special. Offering also a house tour explaining a bit of the history of the Hotel, service was a 10. We will be back 100%. Thank you!

Very nice rooftop terrace. I can really recommend the burger with the fries. Even though it started raining and the staff seemed to be quite stressed, the atmosphere was tremendous! It was also funny to see everyone in umbrellas; it also brought a nice effect to the atmosphere. I've been coming to the Bar/Restaurant since I was little, and always loved it.

Very friendly and high quality… no arguing here, but value for the money is very questionable. The carpet at the entry stairs is torn and has holes, the rooftop bar does not even serve Martinis, non-Hotel guests are lining up at the entrance, no Nespresso machine in the room, the restaurant is closed at the weekend for lunch (only rooftop is open), and I had to wait 10 minutes at checkout for the manager in charge (who happened to be around) wouldn’t handle a checkout but instead asked me for my patience until one of the receptionist would be ready to take care. Long story short, if you don‘t mind the money, good, if you are looking for value for the money stay somewhere else!!! And UNDOUBTEDLY NOT the best hotel in Berlin even if money is no object.

we had a very important events for our company and partners, Hotel de Rome was the right choice, everything went smoothly and better than we planned especially in the operative aspect.it was crazy in the beautiful Ballroom but the Banqueting team delivered a stunning job, although the many last changes and requests ( I have to say we were a real headache for everyone ) , but our contact person with a big confident smile helped us to finde the best solution, and I will always remember his famous phrase : i will take care of that and indeed he did it and brilliantly, so many thanks to the Ballroom service team and special thanks to Hats off to the department head Anas for his high professionalism and friendly attitude.we look forward to come back next year.İ

The best hotel in Berlin in my opinion. The rooms are very comfortable and the value for money is excellent. The bar is wonderful and the restaurant is excellent. We had an amazing experience in this beautiful hotel. We are planning to come back. The service was outstanding.

Lovely environment, luxurious room and superb breakfast. We loved Stathis at the hotel entrance, always welcoming us and helping us with whatever we needed. Kind and friendly stuff like him is the answer to how much the face of any company/hotel or shop can be influenced positively or negatively. In his case the positive influence was evident from the very first hello upon our arrival.

Stayed for four nights during a work conference, and was blown away by the service, from check in to check out. Everyone was extremely welcoming and helpful. The rooftop is gorgeous, and be sure to try the tartare sandwich. The location is unbeatable. This hotel is one of the best places in Berlin to hold conferences, I'm always excited to return.

Ausgezeichneter Service & nettes Personal!

I would like to share my positive experience of holding a business conference at the De Rome hotel in Berlin. We organized the event on December 16th and were pleasantly surprised by the high-quality service and professionalism of the staff. I especially want to mention managers Manuel and Fatima for their help in organizing the conference. They did everything possible to ensure that our event went smoothly and without any problems. I also want to express my gratitude to manager Anas for his care and attention to our needs. Overall, we were very satisfied with the conference at De Rome hotel and recommend it as an excellent venue for business events. Event Manager, International European Club BIZON Business Club

Amazing place! The hotel room was luxurious, the staff very attentive and the whole experience was perfect. Went for many walks as the location was ideal for that. 2 photos of the view from hotel steps attached.

We were at the Hotel de Rome for a few drinks. Overall we had a great experience (hence the 4/5) - we had some drinks at the rooftop, then a bottle of champagne at the bar and a cigar in the smoking lounge. The staff was very friendly and in most cases accommodating. But I believe some of the "rule setting" should allow a bit of flexibility to the staff if a customer is having a legitimate wish. I mean we were not asking for something extravagant. Just have a good bottle upstairs or buy a cigar upstairs. Here is what we missed for the 5/5: > The Pizza/Snacks was closed at 21:00 on the rooftop > I wanted to have a cigar at the rooftop, but the team was not able to bring me the cigar "menu" to the rooftop > We wanted to order a good bottle of champagne (>300€), those bottles were unavailable at the rooftop and we had to drink the "sponsor bottle" pierret jouet. Which is an average champagne at best. I would still highly recommend Hotel de Rome, but I was just a bit disappointed that "basic" wishes of buying an expensive bottle was not met.

We have been guests at the rooftop bar, a team from different Western Europe countries. It was the highlight of the evening as the hotel is in the historical area of Berlin, a beautiful location and the view was just stunning. An amazing location for a team evening, service and drinks where very good. I have recommended this place within my company.

Hotel de Rome terrible stay , avoid CHECKIN — welcome drink during check in, however the gentleman checking us in didn’t want to open another bottle for my husband, so he just handed me 1 glass. Half way to the elevator, my husband feeling left out literally had to ask for a cup of his own. No breakfast to my room which was included with the amex booking. I had to go down to the buffet. POOL CLOSED WITHOUT NOTICE AT BOOKING- pool was closed and has been closed for years apparently I want to mention that with prior bookings (as I book often with amex there is ALWAYS A WARNING , which CONFIRMS to clients any restaurants, facilities or pool closures. information was intentionally hid from clients. TERRIBLE ROOM VIEW the view faced another wall in the inner court yard (amex upgraded room) dark depressing no natural sunlight view of office buildings. furnishings are old and run down SPA - The lady with brown short hair me feel unwelcome and kept pressing me to explain if I was staying at the hotel or why I was there. We decided to leave because she was so rude and I even asked her to see the facilities of the steam room ect and she refused. CONSTANT INTERROGATION For the first 2 days it consisted of constant interrogation from staff “Are you looking for the roof terrace?” “Are you lost?” Or other sneaky ways to see if we were guests. making us feel unwelcome I had forgotten my umbrella I asked another door man (an Indian or Pakistani door man I believe) if I could have an umbrella, He told me “ you can go get it yourself ” and pointed inside . ROOF TOP RESERVATION I approached the reception and I was rudely ignored and told to “ go over there with a lady who’s in separate room and talk to her about booking the terrace” The reception seemed to cast me aside because they assumed I wasn’t staying at their hotel. But once my husband explained to her firmly our room number ....and magically there was a table for us for reservation. - hotel de Rome is no place for a lady Day 3 we decided to cancel our plans to visit a museum and take the day to use the spa. The spa is full of old men without bathing suits fully on display their private parts. No one warned me, there was no sign on the door, no communication of a co ed fully naked spa This is an international hotel When I told the spa troll that I was very upset at the males lack of bathing suit, she told me that it was “just too bad and if I don’t like it we can leave” She could see very clearly I was very shaken at the full display in front of me when I opened the door. So no spa for me. no museum for me. wasted my last day in Berlin I know for a fact our mistreatment is very specific to hotel de Rome. lunch at Aldon Kempinski and 3 night stay at hotel de luc was completely different. I want to mention my husband and I despite being younger we are very well dressed , husband was wearing beautiful Hugo boss, eden park ect. we were discriminated because of our age. Positive points- the house keeping staff is amazing 1 gentleman in the spa was helpful (from cypress) Sadly by the time I talked to him it was too late in our trip to book my spa appointment and impossible away from naked creeps Also the bell man (shaven head German guy) and 1 other door man with black curly hair were polite. there are so many other 5 star hotels in berlin . do not stay here.

We didn't stay at the hotel, but we booked their rooftop for a business event/dinner. The atmosphere was great and the view is absolutely amazing. The staff was some of the most friendly we've ever encountered. The food was absolutely delicious! The only small negative thing is that we had a lot of leftover food and unfortunately we couldn't take it with us due to hotel policies, so it may have ended up being wasted.

One of the best hotels in Berlin! Friendly staff that ensures a pleasant stay. Spacious rooms, decent gym and fabulous breakfast. Unfortunately the spa closes very early and the swimming pool is closed for renovation.

I wanted to thank the Hotel the Rome and their team for their amazing work during our event. All of our guests were pleased with the service, the place and the food. The quality of service, availability of the hotel's team was remarkable, and perfectly fitted our expectations. Everything was on time, and even prepared early when needed.

We had our event at Hotel de Rome and I wish we could give them a 100 stars! Right from the beginning, Manuel was incredibly helpful and amazing at ensuring we get the best possible options! The service was outstanding. On the 3 days of our event, Anas was amazingly helpful, friendly, attentive, and always available. The entire team went over and beyond to make our event a success. Thank you guys so much!!

A beautiful, wonderful place - to me personally the number one among the top 3 hotels in Berlin. Contrary to many hotel restaurants even the food is outstanding. My top recommendation in Berlin!

Finally a hotel with a barbell in the gym! Will stay here on my next trip to Berlin for sure. If only all hotels had this! Plus the rooftop bar is fantastic.

Too expensive for what it offers. The staff is simply basic, as long as everything they offer in their menu. There are better views in Berlin. For a 5 starts hotel, it's very sad not to have a spare mask if a costumer requests it because "it costs money". Lame.

The price of the basic room never meets the overall quality one gets once accommodated. Rubish breakfast, very poor and as humble as it gets breakfast service, crackled plaster on the room's walls, dirty carpets throughout. The King-size bed is equipped with two separate mattresses. With a pool being closed, nobody on duty at SPA, and a dozen other (even mandatory) things missing this property hardly meets proclaimed 5*****s standard. Though things may have been better before pandemics.

It would be zero stars, if possible. On Tuesday 3.8.2021 we wanted to visit the Terrace . I have called the hotel and asked if I can make a reservation. I was told no reservations are possible. After we arrived we were told to stay in the line on the street that the Terrace will call when we can enter. We were standing outside and the line was shortly getting longer and longer. The concierge was telling all the guests that he has no information that the Terrace manager will come shortly. The manager arrived but he ignored the questions of the guests (I really mean ignoring that he was being spoken to), instead of that he hugged his friends at the end of the line and disappeared with them inside (Having them skip a line of 20 people.). After we have been waiting there for 1 hour one of the ladies ask the concierge again what is going on. He was super unfriendly to her (It looks like the other google comment here that especially woman are treated here without respect, is unfortunately correct.) She came back to the line she shared her experience with everyone in the line. At that point 30 people. Based on her experience the 30 people in the line decided to leave. Before we left, I have informed the concierge sarcastically, that his problems are gone because now there is no line and if he does not think that treating potential guest like this is very unprofessional. His answer: “I do not f…. care, you can complain if you want.” I want to add that I travel a lot for work and privately and I was never treated like this in something which claims to be a 5 star hotel. To the management: If you do not want to have guest from outside this is absolutely your right but that put as sing: “We make enough money without you.... Leave” a and do not let people stand in a line and be treated respect-less by your staff. I will definitely not visit this hotel again and I do not recommend this to anyone else.

Not bad for a high-end hotel. The service is good and the room is basically nice. Also, the location is good. But the maintenance of the bathroom in classic rooms could be improved and the breakfast is ok, which is not good enough for one of the leading hotels in Berlin.

We were for breakfast and for terrace visiting to have a drink with a boreal. Breakfast is very good with big choice, extra card, lovely tea menu. Service was also super nice and friendly. Just one thing can be improved according to the table decoration: flowers on all tables were almost dead. Not so nice from the estathic point of view.

General Manager Gordon Debus and his team have been great hosts again. The energy and authentic service character makes you totally feel at home. A mix of cool, humble and luxury. Honestly the most stylish location in Berlin to stay. Very international and beautiful. This time i‘ d like to highlight the breakfast. I have the impression it improved again. Its so reach, healthy and diverse. A little paradise to start the day in the middle of historical east Berlin!

Big fan of this place. I've been to both the restaurant (Chiaro), the bar/lounge and the rooftop terrace and the quality of food and drink is always very high. The service at the Rooftop terrace is not as good as at Chiaro (they forget drink you ordered etc) but it's also always busy so it's understandable.

One of the hard destinies of my job is to watch important people eat without eating myself - LOL! This morning I had to organise a breakfast at the Hotel de Rome in Berlin, one of the top-3-hotels of the city. It is always a pleasure to work with the staff here, as they are extremely professional, forward-leaning and capable of taking the right decisions by themselves in case of a need to do so. I reserved a table for six on the inner patio, but due to heavy rain setting in at around 05.30 hrs they switched it to a wonderful table inside, automatically adopting the same security measures we spoke about irt the other table. Such actions distinguishes a good hotel from an excellent one. The rooms are quite spectacular, as is the location right in the historic part of the former east of the city. The team working here is focussed on making everything as easy and comfy for their guests as possible, which makes it even better to enjoy your stay over here: Prime service! Well done and thank you, Team Hotel de Rome Berlin!

The location is great, near museums and restaurants and much more. The church next door is under construction at the moment, so our first room we had to change to avoid the construction view. The second room was large and pleasant. Service with excellent throughout. We'd be glad to be back again.

Clearly ice is problematic in Berlin!?! Not a complicated request to take hours to deliver. Twice. Rooftop terrace is amazing. Pool was closed!?! Restaurant and bar were enjoyable. Beef tartare sandwiches are best thing I’ve had in awhile.

The best spa in Berlin for facial and massage. Excellent sauna facilities and easy breezy to schedule, even last minute. Service is attentive and highly restrained.

Excellent city Center location, large rooms, pool in the basement, rooftop terrace on the top, delicious breakfast and very cool style, what’s not to like, you might even walk into Elon Musk in the lobby… Safe and TV remote did not work, minor stuff though, but should have been checked at room preparation. Highly recommendable!

Nothing special. The room we stayed in was really spacious, but looked quite empty. The furniture and textiles were really worned out and scratched. Nice breakfast, but we were completely ignored by staff: after waiting for some time, we had to ask for a menu but were never asked if we want to get something off it, and our drinks were forgotten. The location is great though, really comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom and a nice gym. We also loved the bar: both drinks and staff were excellent.
