Staff where not very helpful or friendly. We got a room for three that was very small and cramped. The tea and coffee facilities in the room were poor and although there were three of us they only gave tea cups and glasses for two. The room was a little dirty the inside of the bathroom door was unclean, the carpet in the hall stained and morning cleaning did not take away the dirty cups. Location not that good, the neighbourhood is not nice and very unkempt and dirty. No nice lounge space. A good variety of breakfast. Too noisy to open any windows. For me not good value for money and I see no reason to revisit.

My recent stay at Hampton by Hilton Berlin left me with mixed feelings, primarily due to an outstanding issue regarding a refund that I have yet to receive for a charge on my credit card. This financial matter has cast a shadow over an otherwise conveniently located hotel. To begin with, I must acknowledge the hotel's excellent central location, which made it easy to explore the city. Moreover, I found the room service at the hotel to be disappointingly limited. This lack of variety and options made my stay less comfortable than I had hoped for. Additionally, the breakfast provided was acceptable, but it was marred by the fact that the staff did not seem to be replenishing items promptly. For instance, on one occasion during my visit, milk ran out and was not refilled while I was there, even after a member of staff was prompted by another customer. This affected the overall dining experience negatively. In conclusion, while the Hampton by Hilton Berlin's central location is a strong point, my overall experience was hampered by the unresolved issue of the refund, limited room service, and slow breakfast replenishment. I hope the hotel addresses these concerns promptly to improve the guest experience in the future.

We chose this hotel primarily because of the location. It’s about 5-10 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz station and also an easy walk to the Brandenburg Gate and the sights along the way. The room was a good size with plenty of space, a desk for the laptop, a kettle (hooray!) and wardrobe. Internal noise was minimal. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices and I think it was open for 4 hours in the morning which gave us a lot of flexibility. The fitness room was decent too, a few cardio machines, multi gym and free weights. A good value stay.

Other than the great location, the hotel is not able to carry the Hilton brand, unfortunately. We paid a supplement for a city view room and they sent us to a garden view room after our check-in. We entered the room, saw that it is not a city view, go back to the front desk to warn them about their misleading. Then we have been sent to a city view room which we already paid a supplement for. In this first night we discovered that the bed is broken and after a night without sleep we asked them to change either the mattress or the room itself. They changed the room again and we could rest in our 3rd room, at last. But this 3rd room was prepared for 3 persons. They opened the sofa to make a bed out of it. We asked the front desk to close it since we were only 2 persons and we prefer space in our room instead of a 3rd bed, but although they have taken their notes and told us that they will close the 3rd bed back to a sofa, it didn't happen until we checked out. The breakfast buffet was, though, richer than expected, still was the same for 4 mornings in a row. We stayed during Christmas period and was also expecting some varieties. We hope these notes will be taken as points to be corrected by the hotel management.

Friendly clean hotel, the breakfast each morning was excellent, they have a large selection of cooked items, cold meats, cheeses, cereals, waffles, teas and coffees and many more. The location is only a 10 minute walk to the train station and directly across from three tram stops, so very accessible. There is no restaurant on site but there is a restaurant Goldberg round the corner that does great food and drinks at a very reasonable price.

Great location and the room was fine. Really good breakfast selection. The only down fall this hotel has is very unfriendly reception staff especially the guy that was there the morning we checked out. !!

Really nice hotel, nice close by area, walking distance from Alexanderplatz. The Breackfast was amazing, the room was clean and size wise it was perfect. The Gym is quite small and limited so if you are into training you will be disapointed, but it serve the purpose for keeping up the routine 😅

Reception staff tried to persuade us to have a queen size bedroom and not the twin room we had booked. When we turned this room down we were told "everyone wants a twin room" 😮 Well we just want what we had booked and paid for. We watched 2 young ladies checking in and being laughed at by 3 male reception staff. We spoke to these young ladies later and they said they didn't understand why they were laughing at them and it made them feel very uncomfortable. At breakfast it was very busy and if you ever politely asked for any missing item you would be shouted at 'WAIT A MINUTE " The area is not nice and we did not feel safe. The view from the hotel is awful. Berlin is a very dirty place. One night someone was lifting up the manhole covers in Alexanderplaz. There is lots of construction work good on and many bus stops have moved 200 meters and are difficult to find. Berlin is also has a influenza epidemic ATM and many bus & train drivers are off sick. Take a mask TBH we have travelled extensively and Berlin is the worst place in the World we have visited.

Stayed here for 3 nights recently in a triple room. Lovely hotel and the staff are absolutely brilliant. The breakfast has a great selection and has allergy information posted (1 coeliac) which made life so much easier. Hotel is spotless, there's a lovely lady who organises bus tours on site. Will definitely be staying again and would highly recommend.

I stayed here for a whole month, and even though staying in a Hotel room for that long can be tough, I totally enjoyed my stay from day one until the end. All the staff was extremely helpful and was always happy to help out with whatever they could. I would completely recommend this for your stay, the location is super convenient with good connections with the whole city, and the rooms are new nice and with good natural light. But as I said before, the best part is the staff!!

We booked because it said they had A/C. We stayed July 9-11 and it was 87 degrees outside when we arrived-we were pretty disappointed in what was considered air conditioning. It was very warm in our room on the 7th floor. The bathroom was clean and the shower was nice. I did appreciate the provided shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion. The location was good- within walking distance to alexanderplatz and a train station. I would stay again IF it were not summertime.

Theft and Uncooperative Staff and Management During my stay at the Hampton by Hilton Berlin on 20.12.23, I experienced an unfortunate series of events that included theft and inadequate security measures. My laptop and earbuds were stolen from my room during a brief 3-hour absence, and a similar incident occurred in another room on a different floor, involving the theft of a laptop and phone. The hotel staff's reluctance to review security camera footage and their lack of cooperation were particularly concerning, which raises questions about the effectiveness of the hotel's safety measures. During our subsequent discussion with the manager, an external involvement was suggested, attributing the incident to a possible gang from outside. However, we find this explanation puzzling, especially considering the specific detail that both rooms involved had requested third card keys the same evening that the theft happened. Only hotel staff knew about the 3rd card that has been requested. It’s worth mentioning that the acces to the lift, all hotel floors and rooms requires a hotel card. So suggesting that the person from outside could have been responsible is highly unlikely in our opinion. Upon check-out, we waited at the reception for an extended period, hoping to discuss any updates on our case with the manager. However, the manager did not make himself available, demonstrating a disregard for our concerns and leaving us with no information on the progress of our case. This lack of communication and engagement further compounded our dissatisfaction and suspicions. In light of this experience, I must advise against staying at this establishment. The Hilton chain is known for its high standards, but this experience falls significantly short of those expectations. Consider carefully before choosing this establishment, and if you do stay, ensure the safety of your personal belongings by either hiding or securing them.

Just fantastic 😊! They went above and beyond for our requests. Super friendly and responsive. It was our first and only night in Berlin, but the staff made our stay extra welcoming and comfortable. Hotel is extremely clean. Breakfast is phenomenal!

Very central location for all attractions, railway, tram and Christmas Markets. The staff are very helpful and friendly. The public areas are comfortable and very clean. The room was great. It has everything required. Shampoo, conditioner and shower gel all provided. The rooms were serviced every day. Breakfast was amazing with something to suit every dietary requirement. I stayed 3 nights and was delighted with everything. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Great location - the staff are fantastic - the breakfast is brilliant - seriously good! I won't criticize the feather down pillows provided by the hotel - they are lovely. Rather, if you need a more substantial pillow to secure a good nights sleep - bring your own or organize something, in advance.

Great experience! Perfect placement, many sights were reachable by foot or with near public transportation system. Especially the breakfast was delicious and with plenty of different dishes. Room service also very friendly and at all times very tidy. The gym sufficient enough for couple days. Also the staff was very friendly only some receptionists could be a little bit more motivated. Overall a pleasant stay and I would definitely recommend staying there.

This was a very nice hotel. Check in is at 3 pm so if you get there early I would imagine that they would watch your bags. There is a lot of stuff to do in the area. There is a big tower 🗼 "near" the hotel. It has a nice view of the city. It was €25 for a ticket. There are a lot of "nearby" shopping and food places. I did a lot of walking and train riding. I don't know how easy it would be for someone with mobility issues. Also it looked like parking was limited. My friends recommend taking the train to Berlin and I think they were right. The elevator was a little tricky. You have to scan your room card and then push the button. Breakfast was great they had eggs, bacon and waffles. They had a bunch of other German breakfast things too but I am an American. The only thing that it lacked was syrup. Germans don't seem to like it. You can't even find syrup in stores. Sometimes they get syrup confused with the flavoring you put into the soda stream. Breakfast was from 6:30 to 11:00. The cleaning lady tried to come into my room at 9:00. I was just about to take a shower and I had to get out of the shower and come to the door. She told me check out was at 12:00. I'm pretty sure it's at 11:00 but I don't speak German. The room cost €125 for one night for one person.

Fantastic hotel. Really well located and looked after. As a vegan and a gluten free couple it has been difficult in the past to get decent food in general let alone at the hotel. Berlin was fantastic but the Hampton was unexpectedly brilliant for food providing a range of vegan and gluten-free food on the buffet without having to make special requests. Hampton Alexanderplatz is probably the best Hilton we've stayed in worldwide and we will definitely be back in the future. Thank you to the kitchen, breakfast and front desk staff because you made our stay so much better than we expected!

A bit worn-out hotel situated around 10-15 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz in a pretty boring and bland area. The room was small, but worked fine and it was clean. The breakfast was good with a wide selection of different food. If you just want a bed to sleep in as well as a good breakfast to start off your day in Berlin, then this is the perfect hotel for you.

Nothing special, just a mainstream hotel where everything is quite standard. The staff are very efficient, no time for a smile or a welcome. They all seemed tired all the time and seemed to wish you were gone. The room was clean although on the small side. No streaming possible on the TV. The location is nice, about 10 minutes from Alexanderplatz. Breakfast is free for everyone as I understood, and it was very very busy, although not a very special breakfast but had some choices of food.

I’m very pleased with the concept of this hotel. They really met my standards in terms of cleanliness, breakfast and accessibility to major transport, shopping and touristdesty. The only thing i didn’t understand is when I had to ask for a tissue box since the housekeeper didn’t replenish it for two days consecutively so i had to call the number stated on the phone( which was the only number) when i didn’t realize i called the reservation line who then tried to call front desk several times but no success. So at the end she asked me if i vould get it myself from the reception. At that point it was late in the evening and i was ready for bed in my Pyjamas. It was wuite frustrating to realize that they don’t have a direct line to the reception, the call from the room would still be directed to their agents outside of the hotel. Other than that, i could still see myself staying in the same hotel next time.

Perfect place to stay for a 5 days trip in Berlin As a Hilton Honors member I was satisfied with my stay, the front desk people were helpful and give good tips about the public transport and the opening hours of the surrounding stores. The breakfast was good, although it can get overcrowded during the busy hours which is from 9-10AM and you have to wait for available tables. I think the room was small for 3 people but we enjoyed our stay. They also provide bookings for hop on hop off trips and you can also rent a bike there.

The location of the hotel is pretty convenient with a tram stop just across the road as well as the s-bahn close by. With that said, the trams can get quite noisy especially if you're on the lower floors facing the main road. The breakfast buffet is pretty decent and it's free for all guests. However, the poor experience was due to the unfriendly and cold staff (no smiles, no greetings). Unfortunately, the level of service here really fall short of what you'd expect from Hampton by Hilton. The staff were understandably busy with check-ins but that is no excuse for rudeness. When a mistake was made, a staff who claimed to be the manager on duty acknowledged the mistake and said the staff was busy with check-ins so there was nothing they could do and no apology was made. I felt that the staff could have done better with listening to their customers and helping their guests feel welcomed.

Nice and clean room, not too big but enough for 2 people, no noise from other rooms, hall or outside. The breakfast is big with a lot of choices. The location is perfect.

Cons: Desk staff were unprofessional, unhelpful and rude. In one case one of them used expletives about my German language speaking ability. Also, I paid extra for a city view, mentioned it on my check-in and was laughed at about a "city view" by the desk staff member. My room was on the second floor and my only view was of the street and a graffitied building (see attached photo.) I asked for a refund for the "city view" cost at the desk and they seemed to get annoyed about it. They said my hotel stay contract was with my internet booking company and it was not their problem. They did in the end, give some customer service and provided me with a free drink. Pros: Room cleaning, restaurant, and bar staff and service were great. Room sound proofing was also good enough to block out most of the street sounds. Desk staff were polite and efficient when I was checking out. They were also friendly about providing a baggage storage service.

It is very well situated near Alexanderplatz. Clean, reasonably quiet for a city center hotel if you choose "garden" view. It was very busy at the end of August, so there were times that the restaurant was fully packed during breakfast :) Excellent, helpful and friendly staff

Not all queen rooms are created equally, booked two rooms very last minute to visit the Christmas markets, all that was available were accessible rooms. We arrived late at night, got checked in and dived into bed. The next morning we found the room my daughter had was much bigger, featuring a large sofa, also her bed was probably a queen bed but ours wasn't. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of foods, the cooked stuff could be a bit hit and miss, I know Germany has different cooked breakfasts, but you should be able to get a fork into hash browns and mystery nuggets.

Average hotel is not the best , The rooms are ok but the bed is not high quality which effects the quality of sleep. The staff are nice. Breakfast is very standard nothing special. The rooms are not so clean. Overall : worth it maybe for 1-3 days not a long stay.

(-): The rooms not big. Enough area. But I prefer to bigger one. There is not enough area for 2 person in twin rooms. No slippers. The carpet very very dirty. Please clean it. Breakfast was not very diverse. (+): Common areas are clean. Internet speed is good. The soundproofing of the rooms is very good. There is good system for case room for using check out.Thw hotel near the main road so mean, find the cars for business.

During a 5 night stay I was not disturbed by noise from fellow guests once. I enjoyed the breakfast each day which was larger then any hotel breakfast I have seen. Bus and tram across the street and a short walk to the subway make for a convenient location. There is a pizza place called Kiyano Pizza very close by I enjoyed twice during my stay.

Comfortable, easy-going hotel. Well located. Good breakfast buffet, and for the evening a bar and a range of snacks. Ample public seating, so easy to get together with friends and colleagues. Will be back here the next time work brings me to this part of Berlin.

The room is nice, enough for a short stay. However, the service is not as good as a four star hotel should be. The Check-in was not smooth and there were no fully description of the service that the hotel provided at the spot and the personal in general was not friendly or maybe Berlin style? I would rather recommend for other four star hotel to stay.

Really enjoyed staying here, good location, close to the trams and close to the U-bahn (underground). Also, breakfast has been great and a mix between hot and cold buffet. It does get busy during breakfast, but I'm not surprised, the quality of the hotel is great as is the foot. During the evening, the hotel quietens down and they have candles in the lounge areas which gives the hotel a great ambience. Rooms are big and bright and my request to get a room high off the ground was actioned very quickly. Overall, a 5 star stay and a very family friendly hotel.

Smaller room and bath than I'm used to in US. Room card must be used for elevator and lights in room, which tells me they have issues with homeless people and crime. Very clean. Hearty breakfast included. The location can't be beat. Reasonable price. Fast internet/wifi. Friendly people working here.

Location and breakfast was great, staff were friendly and nice. 2 things tho, I booked a family room which comes with sofa bed however it was so was so small, we barely had any space to walk around. The bathroom were not well cleaned, the shower floor was and toilet were dirty when we first entered leaving an unpleasant smell.

If you travel to Berlin for business or pleasure this hotel is a must try. We had an excellent stay. Staff helpful and friendly. Rooms were very clean and maintained daily. The breakfast buffet was excellent and catered for all ages. It could get busy at certain times but still worth it. We would definitely use this hotel again

Excellent service. The room was clean and comfortable. Water pressure was just perfect and bed was too relaxing. The complementary breakfast was delicious and had lot of options. Overall, a great stay and I recommend this to others reading the review. Location is at Alexanderplatz with walking distance from the sbahn station.

It is nice hotel. The rooms are clean and are nice. Good shower. Breakfast is okay. A bit crowded at some times but that is a risk when you have breakfast around 8 o'clock. The breakfast buffet has good and different options. The location is also nice, ten minutes walk from Alexanderplatz. Maybe one minor, limited parking places in their parking garage.

Fantastic location, and the rooms were nice as well. The one star review is because the staff we interacted with were frankly atrocious. Our room did not have a working AC panel, so we called the front desk and they sent someone to check on it the next morning. That person reviewed the situation, and said that the machine itself was broken, not the panel, and they could not fix it. No worries there, I understand that these things happen. To get the new situation resolved, we talked to whoever was running the check-in desk the night of the 23rd, and tried to explain what was going on. I'd like to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was a language barrier, but they honestly seemed like they couldn't care less about our problem, cut us off midway through trying to explain it, and said they would go and check it out themselves. When we tried to explain again that someone had already checked it out and said it could not be fixed, they just kept cutting us off until we gave up and left. They also did not actually come check, so it seems like they just lied to us to make us leave. Pretty unbelievable that a hotel with this good of a location and nice rooms couldn't find staff who at least pretend to care. Edited to correct 24th to 23rd.

My comments are tailored to compare other hotels that I have stayed within the same grade. So let's go. Rooms are rather small for a family of 3, moving inside the room is a logistics problem. At least two of us need to sit down to let one go out. Also cleaning could be better, it was a mood killer to see someone else's hairs on the shower wall. However the location is game changer. 5 min walk around to the city center. Also they have one of a kind breakfast, a lot of choices, and all fresh. Parking could be challenging, make sure you arrange it upfront. Electric charging is not available, fyi.

We took a room for 3, the room was tiny, we didn't had a cabin for the clothes, the single bed was very bad, not comfortable at all. The service is also bad as I've complain about the bed several times and nothing was done. The location is good near Alexa mall and the Christmas market (10 min walking distance)

Great location and expected (for Hampton) clear and decent facilities. Poor experience due to: Unfriendly receptionists and manager on duty, terrible breakfast, hidden costs for pets at checkout (not announced prior to checkout). Manager on duty claimed pets not allowed AT CHECKOUT. At the time the booking was made via booking.com the hotel was allowing pets and no additional charges were announced. Special request was used to announce we arrive with pet - no objections. We were welcomed at arrival with dog, but at checkout we were told that actually the hotel does not allow dogs and we are in violation... ""What the hack?!?". No explicit accidents with the dog or whatsoever. I wouldn't mind the cleaning fee if properly announced, but the folks on the reception are ridiculously arrogant and not accurate. I have not expected that I can meet such personnel in Hilton hotel ... sad sad

Nice hotel in a great location. While the park by Radisson and few other hotels are very much at the alexanderplatz square, this one is little away near the main road and by the tram line. However at a convenient walking distance from alexanderplatz and on a busy road. Me and my wife stayed around New Year and we walked to alexanderplatz on Sylvester nigh to to watch fireworks. The breakfast spread is good but not one item on the menu changed during our three nights stay. Pretty basic without any live counters and plates as small as saucer but overall worthy. Rooms are well kep too, bit too small but well maintained. You can't leave the window open at night as the noise from the busy tram line behind woul disturb you all night. Staff is cooperative and helpful. Everyone spoke English and all information is written in English too.

Set in Alexanderplatz it is very central. Accommodation is very clean, staff super friendly- they let us check in early and large size bathroom which was immaculate. I have a severe dairy allergy and the buffet breakfast included all vegan options eg, milk alternatives, yogurt, mushroom/tomato pate, vegan sausages - it was a great spread. Plus bar drinks weren't anymore expensive than a usual pub/beer house. Would definitely recommend
