The hotel is around the corner from the Hauptbanhof Berlin main train station and a short walk to the Reichstag Bundestag parliamentary campus and the Brandenburg Gate. The property is newer, staff are professional, cordial and helpful. A special shout out to Fraus Schroth and Loeffler, who provided attentive and friendly service at the lounge/bar and frontdesk respectively. My room was modern, well appointed and the bed was very comfortable. Food quality and service is very good. In particular, the €20 hot breakfast buffet is great value, offering all the hot foods, proteins, including omelet bar, wide selection of pastries, fruits, cheeses, cereals, breads and beverages hot and cold, featuring champagne. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of a functioning inroom safe. Overall, this is a great Berlin hotel, for the central location, the service, food quality and the value for money. I enjoyed my 4 night stay. I would return. Highly recommended.

First rate hotel. 200 metres from Berlin main station but on a quiet street. Our double room was huge. Great bathroom. High standard of decor. Biggest choice of breakfast of any hotel I've been to. Restaurant and bar on the ground floor. The whole hotel has a feeling of space. Friendly helpful efficient staff. Definitely recommended.

High price without good services. Only one bottle of water was provided at first day. Only two receptions works when there are more than 10 people. The worst was someone cut in line by saying she was there earlier but actually she just failed to choose the quicker line. And the reception just ignored us and took her. It really overturned my impression as a foreigner!!!

It was a nice experience staying at this hotel. One of our family got a cold so we need extra bed to accommodate that and they are so helpful and accommodating. The room is spacious, convenient located with train station. The interior is nice. I gave 4 stars for the room because the bathroom door is glass door and the tub is high , I need to hold the rail so I won't slip

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. They told us there was no room available in the bed size we had reserved. We reluctantly accepted it. When we entered the room, we found that there was no door in the bathroom, and the toilet had only a regular glass door. There was no privacy. At the reception - usually on the left when you enter - the lady told us that there was no bathroom door in any room. When we looked at the photos shared by other guests of the hotel, we saw that this was a lie. On the day we checked in, when we contacted another receptionist, we learned that there were indeed available rooms with the large beds we wanted. Despite all the lies, we didn't change our room because we didn't know what to expect in that room. This unprofessional behavior served as a lesson for us not to stay in such a hotel again. It was a disappointing experience. Of course you did not see the real name, because i m using a nick-name. You fool!

I just got back from a week in Berlin. I was there doing historical research for a project I'm working on. I chose the Steigenberger mostly due to the combination of great reviews and location to the main train station. I was not disappointed, but as is always the case with travel, you have to be flexible. Yes, this is a very nice and well-run hotel. That is true. The breakfast was amble and tasty with the management efficient and accommodating. I looked forward to getting down to the 1st floor early to eat and get my day on. I had a Deluxe room which was plenty large, but perhaps to an American used to absurdly big sizes for just about everything, this room seemed about average size to me. Just a subjective thing I suppose. Traveling alone you can adjust to anything, but if I was with my wife she'd be unhappy with just a shower and no bath. Not a problem for me. Again, if you're an American traveling in Germany for the first time, perhaps you should ask about getting full sheets and blankets instead of the two small duvets and square fold-over pillow that they provide. I'm accustomed to them but I know that it can get a little hot with them. I only had one small issue, and it was nothing. During the first night it got stuffy and the room air condition controls wouldn't work. Luckily the room's windows opened up a bit. I mentioned it to the front desk in the morning and they determined that the computer thought I was checked out and shut down the A/C system. That was quickly resolved with a sincere apology. When I'm back in Berlin I'll be staying here again.

I would like to thank the hotel staff for the wonderful hospitality at the hotel. We got a room with a lovely view, the room was clean every day, the room is equipped and invested, strong water pressure in the shower, and a rich and wonderful breakfast. Thank you!

The breakfast buffet alone is good enough reason to stay at the Steigenberger! Very comfortable, huge room. Easy to access all attractions on foot, but conveniently located next to the main train station.

A modern hotel near the train station with spa and gym facilities. Reception staff were very polite, professional and helpful. One of the best we received in Germany so far. Berlin is the first city in Germany that snowed 2 days in a row so the stay was extra special for us since we only have summer all year in our country. There are extra warm blankets in the wardrobe if you need and plenty of clothes hangers. Bring your own toiletries (e.g. tooth brush, toothpaste) since it’s not provided. Nice big bathtub with fragrant shampoo and soap to relax comfortably. Pillows and bed were great for a good night’s sleep.

Location is amazing. Breakfast was plentiful. They also had an omelette station. Rooms are big enough but the bathroom doors are tinted glass with an additional opening to see inside the shower, not the best thing when staying with family. Wanted to get a spoon to the room, called reception, she said it would cost 8EUR for room service but I could pick it myself from the bar in ground floor for free. Found it bit amusing that after charging quite a good price for the room, room service is extra. Everything else was perfect. Check in was quick and hassle free.

Hospitality at its best. First and foremost, staff are helpful and professional -- at the reception, the bar, the restaurant and the spa. They all demonstratively go above and beyond to take care of you and you will be greeted with warm smiles and hellos from everyone. The breakfast is lavish - everything you could possibly wake up craving for, it's there (I recommend trying the house-made brioche bread). Rooms are clean, generously spacious, with stylish elements. The spa (on the top floor with nice view of the surroundings) has 4 saunas and the facilities are clean. The bar is a lively cool scene on a Friday night. Lounge area is grand. Considering how impeccable the service and facilities are, it would be very difficult to find better value. I can wholeheartedly recommend to anyone in need of feeling taken care of. Thank you, dear Steigenberger staff, for a wonderful experience.

Hotel in a great location, close to the train station so no problem with parking. Rooms modern and clean, but(!) This is a five-star hotel and there are no slippers, bathrobes or cotton wools or ear buds in the room. Which should not be the case in a hotel of this class. Breakfast good, although some things like smoked salmon of poor quality. Overall a really nice hotel and I hope they take care of the details.

Staff is great and friendly, but whoever runs the room service/breakfast service is not to be trusted. To clarify, I payed in advance for breakfast to be included. According to the roomservice (which itself cost me 12€ which is fine), the top column included foods with no price tag next to it, and the bottom column were considered 'extras' that had their own prices next to each item. I chose only 2 'extras' and the rest were all top column items. Specifically I chose ham + cheese platter and pancakes (both extras amounting to about 8€ iirc). What came to me the next morning was almost exclusively bottom column items along with things I NEVER ASKED FOR. The cart included bread + spread (8+€ both), a POT of coffee (7+€), a POT of hot chocolate (7+€ and it wasnt even hot), cold milk (3+€), and a random pastry basket. This blunder cost me 61 EUROS at the end of the day (and no I did not even touch the ones I didnt order), and I didn't even have the time to dispute it as I needed to quickly check out anyways. Things like this should not happen in the first place, and I highly doubt this was a mistake as it was a blatant attempt at whoever arranged this to scrape out money from you. Especially when your order is not even digitally entered, but a piece of paper which they probably throw away as soon as they get a hold of it, so no proof of them being in the wrong! The receipt you get when you check out also does not specify the food items ordered just the price total. Very sad, this left a bad taste in my mouth as I was leaving. If I were to ever come back, I am never using the breakfast service again. But this alone has ruined my experience badly enough that I doubt I will ever come back to this hotel again.

Dear friends, We booked this hotel for 4 days & 3 nights. Location was fantastic. Rooms & bathrooms quiet big & cozy. Very friendly staff in reception , room cleaning , service everything was perfect except one. We went to Berlin for attending the singing concert & enjoyed everything. Due to hectic schedule we were tired & thought of having massage. We both husband & wife opt for 60 minutes massage & unfortunately it was not good at all. We both were very disappointed. Just wanted Hotel administration should notice this point. Thanks

This is a great hotel but it doesn't cater to international travelers. We very carefully checked to make sure they had Bloomberg &c NBC on their TV. When we made our reservations when we arrived. It showed these channels, but they weren't there. In the future, we will stay at Hilton's or Marriott's. That have International channels in English.

Beautiful hotel, easy and fast service, friendly people, good and modern breakfast plus superior location opposite the main train station and near some of the best sights in Berlin including Chancellory, Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, Unter den Linden, River Spree and Hotel Adlon. So, highly recommended when visiting beautiful and dynamic Berlin.

This was an excellent hotel. I stayed for two nights on business and was impressed by the rooms. They included a fridge which I always think is essential, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. I especially like the gym and spa upstairs. The gym is 24 hours and the spa is open until 10 p.m. equipped with sauna and steam rooms.

We just stayed here for three nights . The location is great but it’s not truly a 5 star hotel . We have stayed in other Steigenberger Hotels with more detail to attention , better rooms and better breakfast . We felt that everyone working their tried there best and was always friendly. Special shout out to everyone working at the breakfast buffet that was always attentive and kind . The minus for us was the poor ventilation of the rooms . The room felt sticky even with the Fan and AC on . You are able to open the window a bit but it’s so loud outside you can’t leave it open over night . I had also sent an email upfront and requested extra pillows for our rooms but it had not been taken care off . For us the positive are the people working there and the Location .

Overall a good experience :) Major plus is the location - 150 metres from Berlín main train station. Hotel was clean, safe and quite. We have loved the breakfast buffet as well! The staff started to clean the rooms quite early while we were still getting ready to explore the city (around 9 am on a weekend) Would appreciate if this 5* hotel had slippers and robes in the room. We would stay here again (mainly because of the location).

It was my first stay at Steigenberger Hotel for a conference meeting. I was very pleased and satisfied with my stay in this hotel. The rooms were big and very clean. The hotel itself is very spacious and the overall cleanliness is on a high level. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was also very nice with a wide selection of food. Would definitely recommend Steigenberger.

Very nice hotel right next to the Central Station, but don't worry, you don't hear the trains at all. Luxurious rooms and good service. Only real downside to the room is the view; we only had a view on the hotel across the street (there are some rooms on the front side viewing the square in front of the station). And The breakfast buffet is outstanding and very complete.

Loved our stay here. 5 nights, right next to Berlin Hauptbahnhof Station which made getting around super convenient. Also withing walking distance to so many places. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is very worth adding too. Staff friendly and helpful

A really comfortable, clean and brilliantly located hotel, perfect for getting to the main sights of Berlin, via train to nearby spots like Potsdam and the other end of town. Staff are very helpful and friendly (although seemed astonished we were staying for a week!!) and the bar has a great cocktail menu. The gym is well equipped and has fantastic views over the Spree. Although it’s primarily a business hotel with multiple conferences in the course of a week, it’s great for leisure too. Definitely coming back when more of the construction and restoration that’s all over Berlin has moved along!

My sincere gratitude for the excellent service I received during my recent stay at your hotel. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted warmly and efficiently by the front desk staff. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the amenities were top-notch. The location is spot on. I wished the tv station had more English channels. I would like to thank you personally for making my stay so enjoyable. Your attention to detail and your commitment to providing excellent customer service are truly commendable. I will definitely be recommending your hotel to my friends and family.

This hotel has a great location, being approx 100 metres from one of the two exits from Berlin main station! This makes it easy to get trams or trains to anywhere else, or walk into Berlin centre via the Reichstag. The room itself was pretty standard, however we were very lucky to have one of the few rooms that can see the sunrise over the Reichstag! This was a completely unexpected surprise, and provided a great view every morning. Unfortunately, being high up facing the sunrise had the disadvantage that the gym was directly above us. This meant hearing weights being dropped, or the repetitive noises of a treadmill, at all hours of the day. Particularly obnoxious was the ~8am run another guest clearly did, waking us up most days. Whilst we usually do a hotel breakfast, the 29 euros each made it a non-starter, and it seems surprisingly high considering there are nearby cafes and restaurants. Overall a pretty standard large hotel experience.

If you desire an unreliable room cleaning service you are right. They don’t make your room. They don’t exchange the water bottle that should be included in the price. They use the ECO room service as an excuse to make one day your room and on another random days not. This hotel does not reflect the service which they would like to show. Not Reliable!

This Hotel is one of our favorites while in Berlin The breakfast Buffett never disappoints with the variety of items on the self service as well as the crispy bacon, the natural honey station and the eggs cooked to order by friendly cooks The wait staff are also very friendly and accommodating The location close to the Main Train Station as well as the Brandenburg Gate and othe famous landmarks is appealing

Stayed through easter. Super lucky and thankful to be gifted an upgrade. We had an amazing time and given it's next to the main station, Steigenberger was our hub all through the day to go anywhere. Just perfect! The room was super nice, clean and the bar got us going in the evenings. Our favourite: Espresso Martini.

Comfortable and clean rooms, big bathroom, and safe box in every room. Receptionists are polite and helpful. Spa area is for hotel qests free of charge, with four saunas and an outside resting area. Rooms were quiet, location 200 meters from the main station is a great advantage.

Great hotel at a most convenient (and impressive) location. Spacious lobby and pleasant rooms, large desk, fast wifi with H-rewards. Rooms to the front have great view. The perfect Spa (sauna area) is best of class, free for hotel guests and worth gold to relax. As is common, the weight area is lacking (1 olympic bar and set of plates + simple squat rack would change this!). Staff is mostly helpful to make things work for guests. I was particularly impressed with Mr C. Kirch from the reception who for example managed to organize a very rich breakfast platter from the kitchen (while they were busy with a private event), when I had missed the switch of breakfast schedule from weekend to weekday. I was starving after fasting and too busy with a deadline to fetch sufficient amounts of food outside before a long train ride soon after, and Mr Kirch saved my life!

I'm writing this letter to express my gratitude to the kind and helpful Indonesian woman who worked at the front desk. She was very pleasant and charitable to talk to. She went so far as to recommend a nice restaurant in Indonesia that was located nearby the hotel. A promotion should be given to her by the higher management. In addition, I have a great deal of affection for the hotel. Very comfortable, and a delicious breakfast was provided. In addition to that, the wellness center was extremely gorgeous, and it featured a nice view as well as an open gym 24 hours a day. The location is in close proximity to a major train station. Fantastic hotel!

This is my first time staying in Steigenberger. I had a really lovely stay here. Check in was smooth and the staff were friendly and polite. The suite was well designed and spacious, and came with a complimentary minibar. Location of the hotel was very central. Breakfast spread was very good. Hotel comes with own garage. The only thing i wish was that the parking rate was cheaper.

Absolutely no complaints about this hotel at all ! Great location for our long weekend visit to Berlin. Located a couple of minutes walk away from Berlin Central Station which was great for getting trains , trams and buses. Is a 10 minute walk from Brandenburg Gate and Reichstag. Rooms very spacious and modern , breakfast selection was excellent and great quality . The hotel bar was also really nice for a night cap . Would definitely stay here again

I can only review the Spa as I did not stay in the hotel. Very nice spa, has many saunas to offer and place to relax. It offers everything you need after a day full of sightseeing or just want to relex in Berlin. It is also possible to visit the Spa with Urban Sports Club and you can then stay for 2h.

I was there in September 2022. From my point of view quite nice hotel, good breakfast (was included), good sauna and wellness (just on missing a cold pool in wellness). Very close to Railway station and many historical places. Definitely can recommend it.

The hotel is just opposite hbf station. Service is not so good. The don't have concierge to help with luggage even though the receptionist often reluctantly offers to help. Rooms are just basic, not cotton bud etc in the toilet. Breakfast is good though
