Buckle in because it’s a long one. Upon confirming my reservation, I was notified that the wellness facilities (gym, pool and sauna) were closed. I was not notified or given notice prior to booking. The lack of amenities diminishes the quality and value of the stay. When I checked in I did request additional accommodations to make up for the deception and lack of amenities (I requested complimentary breakfast for two night stay, solo traveler). The manager at the time doubled down saying guests were notified before booking. This is a lie. I wasn’t notified until after my reservation was confirmed. The manager denied my request for complimentary breakfast and instead said I was given a lovely room in return. I was given the room I booked, no upgrade. Do you think I’m an idiot or something? The bellboy took me to my room and what I witnessed upon entering was simply appalling. There was a dirty rag left over from housekeeping in the sink. I politely gave this to the bell boy and sent him on this way. I then went to use the bathroom after a 5 hour train ride to find URINE left over on the toilet seat. For a “5-star” hotel, the cleanliness is simply not up to par. Luckily I brought toilet seat covers because I no longer trusted this establishment cleaning. I immediately called and notified the front desk. The manager then asked if I wanted to be moved to a nicer room. I moved rooms but I wouldn’t say it was nicer as I no longer had a bath and shower. After getting settled and decompress the horrible check in I asked about the hotel shuttle service. I was immediately discouraged by the manager saying they only go 5 Kilometers but they could order me a taxi instead. I hadn’t even told them where I wanted to go and was instead met with denial of services. The manager should have told me the sights and places within range and offered to arrange it. Instead a paid taxi was offered, at my expense. While this hotel is in a prime area for real estate, it’s extremely far from the central areas of Berlin. It’s a 20-30 minute ride to get anywhere. If you don’t have a rental car and don’t want to shell out 100’s of euros in taxi/ride share DO NOT STAY HERE. This is not a central location. Overall this is not a luxury 5-star hotel. The manager kept saying how prestigious the area was but why doesn’t this establishment reflect it? The bath amenities kit was laughable and the garden is just appalling and depressing. This place is a total joke in every way possible. I’m a seasoned traveler from five star hotels to private rentals and I’ve never been more disappointed before. Worst stay in Berlin.

People who work in the place are inconsiderate and act like they do you a favor when asked for something. They make inappropriate questions and jokes, like a stroller by the elevator would be my future. We had a glass break in the room, and they wouldn’t send anyone to clean it after I asked several times. They forget things you order with room service and then charge you again ten bucks to deliver what they’ve forgotten. I saw them treat Germans much nicer. I stayed there for several weeks, and when we ordered water for the room, the concierge said because we were “special,” he’d deliver it after hours. The bellboy left something behind when we loaded our car with our belongings. We called the hotel to ask about a forgotten item, and we’ve been waiting for them to get back to us for three days. We watched a pool lady empty unfinished water bottles from previous spa visitors into the pool. Overall, there are lots of passive aggressiveness and fake smiles that you can see through. If you are not German, save your nerves. Go to Burj al Arab and spend the same money to be treated as you deserve.

From the moment we checked in until the moment we had to check out, every minute spent in the hotel was simply fabulous. I loved the interiors, the history of the place, very helpful and welcoming staff, beautiful room with comfortable bed, cleanliness, evening cocktails in the bar… everything! I also appreciated the fact the hotel checks the COVID certificates and asks guests to wear the masks- that made me feel comfortable and safer. As much as I understand corona restrictions, I wasn’t quite happy with the breakfast etagere- it was fine on the first day, but repeating it each day was quite monotonous. I also missed having some vegetables. On the plus side- eggs Benedict were perfect! ❤️

Besuch abstatten wollen.

We recently held our annual company Christmas seminar at the Schloss Hotel, and it was absolutely fantastic. Everything went incredibly smoothly, from our arrival to our departure. The rooms were exceptionally comfortable, the Wi-Fi was impressively fast, and the recently renovated gym and pool were fantastic amenities. Reception staff and all other employees were very helpfull and welcoming. The kitchen team went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. They adjusted the menu, added dishes according to our requests, and were incredibly flexible. I highly recommend this hotel, and we are definitely planning to return for both personal and business stays in the future.

Over the top interior, tattoed guys and surgically enhanced girls at the bling bar. Far out from city centre. More „russian disco“ then „Schlosshotel“

The shared areas of the hotel are absolutely stunning and probably the best part of the hotel. The garden seems a bit of a missed opportunity but it’s still nice and quiet. Cons: the room was nice but looked a bit old, the breakfast could’ve had vegan options apart from fruits (this seems out of touch, Berlin being one of the most vegan friendly cities in the world). Location is far from the city. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

To be fair I did not stay at this hotel but I needed some documents to be printed out in an emergency, so I went here. The lady at the reception was extremely friendly and nice. She provided seating while she went and printed my documents for me. Just want to leave a good review as it is rare in Germany to receive such warm customer service

Phoned this hotel to ask for an event which they will be hosting. Got a very disagreeable person on the phone who was far from being polite for a 5 * hotel. It takes one employee to ruin your experience... very sad that this 5 * hotel cannot school properly their employees.

An absolutely magical place! Everything is amazing here. Huge respect for the concept, passion and quality. Big hotel brands are no match for you, maybe because it is not a chain facility and you can put all your passion and energy into it. Keep it up, you are a role model and inspiration!

A luxury and quiet place to stay far from the downtown Berlin crowd. The building is wonderful, walking inside is like to be in a castle. The Staff was kind and very welcome. The bad things was the pool/sauna out of service, the breakfest that could be better for a 5 star hotel, and the garden needs improvement to be more pleasant to stay.

In general, the experience is good. The reception is good and the check-in/out process is smooth. The gym is not bad though a bit small. but some details need to be taken care. * I like the old style rooms, but the facilities should be updated. * It's nice to have a welcome note, but please check the guest's name carefully - at least mine is obviously for another guest.

I'd like to leave my review about Schloss Hotel Berlin by Patrick Hellman. We stayed there from 01.02 to 03.02, specifically for our wedding. Initially, we planned to have a celebratory dinner at this hotel with our closest family, but due to certain unforeseen circumstances, we couldn't, even though we had already made a prepayment of ~1000€, which was non-refundable according to the contract. I would like to note that the event management was not very proactive in communicating with me until the moment of reservation and payment. Initially, the hotel didn't respond to my emails, Instagram messages, and event managers didn't call me back as promised (for the first 2/3 weeks). Only after the staff saw my genuine interest did they start communicating with me very nicely, and for that, I thank Juliana Hoffman. Furthermore, when we had to cancel the celebratory dinner, they quickly responded that the money wouldn't be refunded and we'd have to pay 300€ for a photoshoot (even for just 40 minutes and a few shots). But my disappointment stems not from the 300€, but from the hotel's attitude, showing activity with clients only when it comes to payment. I would like to say that the service at the hotel was excellent, our problems were quickly resolved, and the staff were always very kind and friendly. Although I was surprised that on the day of our wedding, the hotel didn't congratulate us at all, not even with champagne glasses, whereas now we are on our honeymoon in Paris, and here, a hotel of lower standards gladly congratulated us on this occasion. I would really like high-level hotels like Schloss Hotel Berlin by Patrick Hellman to care not only about their current clients but also provide the same level of service to potential clients. Sincerely, Karyna Gorban

An absolutely incredible property. Historic but dynamic and modern. Definitely recommend. The neighborhood is beautiful and by many embassies and ambassadors' residences. The staff are also very good.

The location itself is gorgeous. High ceilings, beautiful interior, lovely park outside. Most of the staff was knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. Only some of the waiting staff assigned to our event seemed uninformed. We were told wrong information multiple times, and only found out by asking the management. The food itself was absolutely delicious. Only the size of the portions left me unsatisfied. I had to eat a lot of bread on the side in order to not feel hungry anymore, but I suppose that is normal in luxury restaurants. Since I attended a birthday event I have no information about the sleeping conditions there. Overall I really enjoyed the location and service.

This is ONE amazing hotel. It was a palace in West Berlin which was completed in 1914. It was converted into a hotel in 1994. They provide A plus service, from the moment you walk through the doors. Everything about the hotel is elegant. Our room was spacious and beautiful. The outside gardens are lovely. We enjoyed spectacular buffet breakfasts every morning. It is located in a residential neighborhood which not near the center of the city. There is free parking if you have a car. We used the bus system. Once we worked out the routes and times with an app it was easy enough to get around. The walk to the bus was great. You walked past beautiful residential homes and saw the local population. There is a pool and gym. We would stay there again.

A rare oasis of luxury and comfort with great attitude. I love how they redesigned this old building. The staff seems very attentive and trained, which I really miss in Berlin. I often come for a coffee outside.

It’s a nice hotel, but showing its age. The price versus the experience is wild, even for a capital city. It was nice to stay in but wouldn’t stay again. AC was loud but glad it worked, which others in my party weren’t so lucky to have.

This is a gorgeous hotel and a gorgeous location. The staff are very helpful and wonderful. The food is excellent. I honestly can't say enough about this hotel. The ONLY downside and this may just have been our room but the room got very stuffy and hot quickly. We opened the windows which greatly helped and provides a gorgeous view.

Everything was great, however, being a 5 star hotel, more attention to detail was expected (amenities, welcome pack, breakfast choices)

I don’t understand how this is a “retreat” or a 5 star. Staff are friendly but that doesn’t make up for the shortfalls. I just can’t see how this is classed as “luxury” and the only aspect of retreat I can really see is that it’s a long way from everything! Sorry

Stunning oasis in Greenwald. Not centrally located in Berlin, but maybe that is the whole point. Elaborate decorations and professional staff create a wonderful home away from home. Beautiful hotel and the refurbished rooms are top. Make sure to ask if the room you are booking is one by Patrick Hellman. There is a big difference in price and in what you get. And it is worth every Euro!

So much racism in this hotel. I’ve been to so many 5 star hotels in Germany. But I’ve had the worst experience in this hotel. I’ve stayed in the hotel a couple of times . Firstly I booked a room for my husband’s birthday ,they didn’t let me stay in the room I had booked, after writing them an email and called them about a certain room, they just decided to give me another room without a solid excuse. Which really inconvenienced the birthday surprise because I wanted things to be done a certain way. There are so many incidents that happened during all our stays too. I’ve also noticed that whenever I share their content on Instagram , they would reshare everyone else that would have stayed in the hotel the same time with me ,except my content, they just skip it. My point is if this hotel is not for black people please let it be known so we don’t consider coming because I just assume all clients should be treated the same.
