As an ambassador Marriott member, with having enjoyable stays at RC properties worldwide, I didn’t expect to witness such low level of service and quality at a Ritz Carlton hotel. The Marriott website and app showed 4 types of suites available during our stay at the RC Berlin, yet we didn’t receive any upgrade - not even to a better room. The hotel doesn’t care much about the loyalty the guests. The reception tried to sell us a suite instead of upgrading us, as it was vacant either way. Not even a higher room category was provided, despite 10 types or rooms/suite in total being available. The person at the reception had an unkempt appearance, too. The bathroom in our room had fungus between the tiles in the shower room and the shower head didn’t work, at all. The room seemed quite outworn and in need of an urgent renovation with an objectionable odor. No streaming functionality on the TV with our mobile devices. We got confirmed the late check out set for 4 pm and we activated the do not disturb button, yet the housekeeping knocked twice on the door and one entered our room between 1 and 4 pm on the day of departure. This is unacceptable. Even though the breakfast seems alright, also with vegan options being provided, the service isn’t able to provide basics orders. In the first morning, they forgot our avocado toast order. After letting the staff recheck on them, … well 30 mins. later nothing still happened. We gave up on them, as the breakfast service was over by then. In the second morning, we ordered coffee for the second time, which also didn’t show up ultimately - after 20 minutes of waiting. A neighboring table had to literally point out to the waitress to “get released from the dirty crockery and plates” remaining not cleared, as no one came to take them away. The welcome reception at the breakfast restaurant was the best best. A lovely and very nice, warm-hearted lady of color - who simply outdoes everyone else - she is such a hard working and caring person. Brilliant and flawless performance by her. She is the reason it’s 2 stars not 1 star. We felt bad for her that she works with so many unmotivated and reckless persons, who apparently do not care about their quality of work and standard of services provided to the guests. As for us - we will never stay there again. It was our third and herewith the last stay at the Ritz Carlton Berlin. You cannot provide such a poor experience whilst charging averagely €450 per night. There are way better hotels in Berlin, that still deliver the 5* experience flawlessly. And there was also a fire alarm at 5 am in the Saturday morning…of course, as it seemed without a proper reason afterwards.

My husband and I are Muslims and we couldn’t find a place to pray at on time. So we were just passing by this hotel and asked the reception if we’re allowed to pray, they kindly accepted our request and even chose a quiet area for us to pray at. After we finished they also offered us fresh water! Super friendly and kind, thank you so much for this unforgettable favor 🙏🏼

Central location with the walking distance to the key historical landmarks. Rooms are spacious and clean, some maintenance needs to be done to reach luxury status. The best crew are the bellboys always smiling and friendly.

This exquisite hotel needs no Introduction and as such, I will try my best to paint this place as heaven on earth, a 5-star hotel that is an emblem of innovation, sustainability and service. I will fail to mention the dignitaries and the world leaders that have graced this hotel with their presence. Either having a conference or accommodations this place is simply your best bet. The prices are fair for the services rendered and their food is something that will leave you craving for more. A 5 star well earned. The Ritz.

Only rating the reception staff and hotel bar. Met with a friend at the lounge for after work drinks. The staff was very friendly and attentive, at the bar and reception. Service was quick, nice interior and in the evening they also had live music playing. Variety, quality of wines and recommendations were good.

Great stay, Elena at the reception is the nicest, tommy and terry makes you feel home, their concierge is nice too. Very nice facility. The new sushi bar is nice, and the wellness is amazing, also they have. A bar with live music in weekends, Alex was amazing.

Great bar service, with very friendly bartenders and staff. I would definitely visit again, when I return to Berlin. Also it is located very close to th Potsdamer Platz Subway station, so you can travel easily to and from the hotel to whichever destination you like, which is super important when taking into consideration the vast distances of the city

I have reservations here and reached out to management with a question. Typically, luxury properties reach out to ME before I arrive to see about questions and other possible services I may be interested in. This hotel cannot even be bothered to respond to a question I have about my stay. Does not give me a good feeling but I’ll update after my stay.

The usual great service I expect from the brand. The staff are attentive, kind and very helpful. I got the corner room and definitely enjoyed having the view from both sides. The rooms are spacious and clean. Overall great stay

I am a current guest. I stayed here once and had a wonderful experience. This trip has been the complete opposite. Unless you are staying here as part of a corporate convention, I would highly recommend staying elsewhere. Sadly, this hotel does not live up to the Ritz Carlton reputation. I can go on and on about the issues I’ve had during my stay. If you want to relax, enjoy 5 star treatment; then please please stay elsewhere.

Outstanding!! The Ritz Carlton in Berlin is the place to stay for short or longer stay!!- The Ritz Carlton Berlin, where they make you feel so welcomed and where the service is outstanding from all points of views. A special attention to the staff at the POTS where sometimes getting unnoticed, but where the work is not always easy. The place where the staff are working hard to please each and every customer that comes in. Angela is one of them and her attention to detail and morning smiles are a capital asset for this function. Always friendly, professional, Angela will greet you with the same smile in the morning! A great recognition to her and to the staff at POTS as well.

We had an amazing first stay at the Ritz Carlton Berlin. A mix of business and leisure. The property was beautiful, the rooms spacious and updated. Every person at the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. I can't say enough good things about the hotel and will be staying here from now on.

Nice hotel, very professional and the service is very good. One of the more affordable Ritz Carltons i've been to. They always honor American Express Fine Hotels and Resort program here as well!

We got to Berlin early in the morning a couple of days before Christmas. We were appreciative that the hotel let us check in early and upgraded us. The staff who checked us in gave us a quick tour and walked us up to our room. The concierge was extremely helpful with our concert tickets and other questions. This was beyond what I expected from a luxury hotel. What the hotel fell short was in breakfast. During our entire stay, we had to wait for at least 20-30 minutes for someone to come get us coffee/espresso. And when we tried to order omelet, avocado toast or other items, the staff would not write down anything, and subsequently they would get it wrong 8 out of 10 times. This degraded the entire experience equivalent to a 2 star hotel.

As the lady in another review, I’m only here for cocktails. Don’t be fooled, 25 for a cocktail is still pricey! but it comes with some of the best olives ever, and the service is pristine. Also very nice music at the perfect volume and high audio quality

This hotel is stunning and the staff are beyond helpful. The cocktails in the Curtain Club are to die for; sit at the bar so you get a front-row seat to all the action. And if you have a chance to stay, the rooms are modern and sexy plus the omelette I had at breakfast was somehow the best of my life. Can’t recommend this hotel enough.

Worst 5-star hotel I have ever stayed in my lifetime. VERY inexperienced hotel staff who didn’t know how to guide a guest. Mal functioning coffee machine that broke three times during our stay. Extremely difficult to open the bottle of water in the room( you will have to shake it for a few minutes before breaking your fingers to twist the cap off). Detached bath top shower head that is hard to “ attach “ to the shower “ hole or thing “ . Awful food in the executive lounge. Tasteless & tacky decorations of the lobby. Mediocre Japanese restaurant called, “Ishi” in the hotel . The server did not know what “ sake “ was . It was laughable, really. The Real Madrid soccer team who partied out LOUD until wee hours disturbing other guests waking us up . The list goes on. Go to other hotel , such as , Telegraph . Classy. Elegant. Excellent service, great restaurants. AVOID this hotel.

I can without any doubt recommend this hotel. Centrally located in such a convenient place, beautiful interior, spacious rooms, top quality mattress and linen. Loved the breakfast with so many options to choose from. Last but not least all the employees are very polite friendly and willing to help.

I will be honest , I was actually shocked with this hotel. 1. Told me breakfast and lounge was included as ambassador but it was not 2. Lobby smells like food and fish 3. Alarm system during my short stay happened 2 times in different days 4. They keep asking me to verified my discount and which I did at check in (annoying ) You have to stand by the name or else change the property to JW or Marriott

This is overdue but necessary. Our stay at the Ritz in Berlin could not have been better! I don’t have a single con so I will list all of the incredible things about this hotel. - Firstly, the customer service is truly impeccable. From the moment you get out of the car, to check in, to room service, to check out and everything in between. Every single staff member was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We particularly loved the bellman (Karim) and the cigar lounge attendant (Leo). - Little gifts throughout the stay. There was champagne at check in, wine in the room on the first night, and everyday when we came back we had a different little treat left on the bed. Sleep spray, bath salts, candies! - The place is just beautifully stunning. Everything is very luxurious and soooo clean. - Breakfast is delicious and the variety and selection is incredible. - Location is also fantastic, right across from the mall so when we had to get little things we were able to do so easily. Seems pretty centrally located to anywhere you’d like to go in the city and right across the street from a major train station. - I accidentally left my phone in the bar area one night and realized when we went to the cigar lounge. The staff jumped into action SO FAST to find my phone that you’d have thought it was an amber alert lol. I had my phone within minutes and didn’t even feel worried because of how quick to action they were. - Overall, we give this hotel 10s across the board and would absolutely stay here again!

This hotel is close to everything, including the Mall of Berlin and Potsdamer Platz. There is underground transportation across the street for you to easily access the rest of the city. The rooms are spacious, and there is a lovely spa and pool area on the lowest level. Without booking a spa service, you can access the sauna and steam rooms. The concierge and front desk staff are warm and helpful. I reached out to them after my stay to inquire after a lost item, and they responded within a few hours. You feel well looked after here!

This is an all around very solid hotel. Pricing is high but is in line with the quality of the rooms and the service provided. Breakfast is delicious and very varied. Fitness center is a little bit on the smaller side. Missing leg workout machines, but all the equipment is relatively new and perfectly kept up.

I'm writing this review on behalf of my parents (70 and 80 years old) who stayed there in early December of 2023. I want to add that I communicated several times with the concierge team online (mainly Maximilian Krug), and the replies were always comprehensive and fast. Maximilian made the process of purchasing surprise champagne from the US extremely seamless for me. These are my parents' paraphrased notes: "Our room was fabulous and the Ritz put in some lovely touches to acknowledge our 50th anniversary. We were pleasantly surprised with the flowers, champagne, and little desserts after we came back from breakfast. It was very nice. I want to mention Ricki at the Curtain Club, who even brought out a special bowl of unsalted chips for us on our request. Shaun used to come into our room with a smiling face at all times, setting up our tea service, and in the breakfast room at the Pots restaurant, the staff were always warm and kind. In summary, the service and the staff were excellent, as we expect from the Ritz. The hotel location is very convenient." One piece of constructive feedback: "We flew in from London on a snowy day. There seemed to be a famous celebrity staying at the Ritz, so our taxi could not get to the front of the hotel. I had a bad cold, so walking a block to the hotel with our luggage was an unpleasant experience. It would have been helpful if Ritz had made some arrangements for mobility-challenged guests during a situation like this."

Always a gorgeous stay at the Ritz. Pool area is very relaxing. Hotel is extremely clean and comfortable. I have stayed in the Ritz before and always come back for the bed. It’s like heaven! Got an upgrade to a corner room on arrival which was such a treat.

Lovely rooms, stylish and comfortable with a thoughtful design. A great idea having a walk in closet with plenty of storage room. Bathroom was great with plenty of space and nice amenities. The only downside was the chaotic and busy lobby, no real greeting for guests and for this standard of hotel you would expect service to be better and more personalized. Perfect location well placed for visiting the Berlin sites.

An amazing stay at the Ritz with impeccable service. Rooms are spacious and well designed with high quality fittings and attention to detail. Bed is super comfortable. Complete sauna and relaxation area. Great location right by Potsdamer Platz. Unfortunately didn’t get a chance to try the bars and food!

Service Excellence Review of The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin Reviewed yesterday It is such a wonderful feeling to see that there’s still a place such as The Ritz Carlton Berlin, the place that values the most appreciated customer service throughout the entire hotel. During my second long stay at the Ritz, I had time to observe the constant detail orientation and elegance of the staff at this hotel and not to mention their professional skills. A big “Thank you" to the POTS staff ( Anna, Angela, Rita, Nour, Tanzil, Sandra, and Yuma who is always on top of the perfection of the Buffet). The POTS team welcomes my spouse and I every morning with the same elegance and smile, always anticipating our needs and making sure not to miss any detail. It makes our Day!!!

Great location and exceptional service. The valets were so gracious, helpful, and fun. Always warm and welcoming. The staff checking us in was also so attentive. The rooms are spectacular, the doors alone feel like a palace. Thank you for a great stay!

As expected from a Ritz, a very well appointed hotel with efficient and warm staff. For breakfast they offer a wide variety of food items for every taste including a mimosa and bloody mary bar! The Curtains bar is very cozy and romantic and has live music at night. Central location and close to Sony Center which is a mall type with a variety of restaurants and bars.

Such a classy and well built Ritz, one of my favorites Ritz worldwide. I stay here every time I travel to Berlin and they’re always so friendly and welcoming. It’s also located in a great area with shooing and restaurants nearby.

We stayed there for 3 days. The service was even more than 5 stars and the room was absolutely clean and spacious. We enjoyed the shower more than other facilities in the room . We will definitely go back again .

Clean, well maintained and big rooms with super comfy beds. The staff was obliging, attentive and we had a chat from time to time. We had a great time at the bar with the staff members Alberto and Henry and enjoyed the 6pm treatment. Gym is well equiped only the SPA pool could've been warmer but this might be due to Covid regulations. Overall we enjoyed this stay and will come back.

This hotel is perfection! Here everything is thought out to the smallest detail! Everything here is designed for the comfort of visitors. There is food for all tastes that gourmets will love. There is a lovely lobby where you can work on your computer or meet friends. Live music is played on weekends. And every evening the bartender will surprise you with delicious cocktails. A pleasant surprise was the presence of a swimming pool, sauna, and gym. Everywhere is very clean and beautiful. The hotel service is five stars out of five. Always perfect cleaning and always on time. Many thanks to the receptionist Henry for the warm welcome. I would like to note that the hotel kindly provided us with free accommodation as an aid to Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes due to the war in Ukraine. We do not have enough words to express our gratitude to the hotel for supporting Ukraine in such a difficult time. When we arrive in Berlin, we will only stop at the Ritz Carlton. Thank you very much for a pleasant stay in Berlin

Hello, this is the first time I am writing a review. I really appreciate the Ritz Carlton and its services, but I have never experienced this kind of humiliation and annoyance. I will try to describe my experience in bullet points: I was there for 1 week and rented a suite. - The phone on the desk did not work for days and I asked for assistance several times. This problem forced me to make my "in-room dining" calls in the bathroom next to a toilet for days (gross). - The phone started sending annoying beeps. - The sewage did not drain - Soap and toothbrushes were missing, I asked for them by phone but no one brought them to me.... so the next day I asked at the reception myself - Room service was quite rude at one point. When I asked for fennel tea, they replied "I don't know what you're talking about" (This point could be subjective, but in the world I live in, there are many ways to answer this question.... like... no, we don't ? ) - I asked for a shuttle service to pick up my wife from the main train station. The concierge told me the price (without being asked) and told me: "Not everyone pays this much money for such a short way".... I mean... what the heck? I don't care, what's the message? This happened after 4 days... What I am writing here is not what I know from a Ritz Carlton. I am shocked and disappointed at the same time by the Ritz Carlton in Berlin.

Fabulous hotel! It’s beautiful, elegant and well located. It has a parking garage with easy access to the hotel (parking charged separately). The decor is elegant Anne extremely well kept. Friendly staff, super clean, bonus points for two excellent restaurants at the hotel. The bar is large and beautiful. Extra points for the complementary bottles of local water in the bedrooms and lobby.

Expensive but worth it. Great service from this true five star hotel, especially from concierge Max - thanks for the recommendations! Huge corner rooms, and an excellent breakfast in Pots. Accessible Potsdamer Platz location. We will be back!

I came to the hotel by car. There was no one from the service in front of the hotel. I had to look for someone to help me with the suitcases. Then I spent 30 minutes waiting in line for check-in. I checked 3 times if my room is ready (every time I waited in line and every time I came at the time agreed with the hotel). Additionally, hotel increased my room rate and charge my credit card, even though I had paid for the hotel via pre-arrival. After 5pm I entered the room but my suitcases were there. I called the reception, but nobody picked up the phone. I had to go downstairs and ask for them again. Staff working in the hotel was surly and unpleasant. House keeping also inaccurate. I've been to the hotel for the second time, but my second experience will not make me come back. Big failure. I would not recommend to anyone, it definitely has nothing to do with a 5 star hotel.

Fantastic Hotel in a great location, beautifully decorated. Rooms are excellent with great beds and all necessary fixtures and fitting to make you feel right at Home. Bathroom was great with a walk in shower and and nice Bath 👍 Service is exceptional, nothing is too much trouble. Food is also great. It's not a cheap hotel, but you get a lot for the price paid, well worth staying at 👍

Stains in the bath tub, shutdown hot tub, shut down steam room. Property is just another business hotel with no Ritz feel left. Do not come here to relax. Come here on your corporate dollar if you are in meetings all day and are looking for a comfy bed. Bath products were great too.

Great hotel, IMO one of the top places in Berlin along with the Adlon and Rocco Forte. Nice rooms, excellent service, and great breakfast and dinner. Even allowed me to have friends over for breakfast for free during my stay every now and again 🙏

The hotel itself is beautiful. Staff super helpful! Bar was amazing! Piano player and all. Super fun. The room was what you expect from the Ritz. There was mold in the shower. Not what you expect from a ritz. A Marriott titanium platinum member, I would expect more .
