The room was minimalist and I'm totaly fine with it. Nonetheless, the toilet was extremely dirty (full of piss...). I wouldn't recommand the hotel because of this lake of cleanliness. Apart of that, the location is purely perfect.

We've got two bunk beds instead of three normal comfortable beds which we had expected 🛏️. We weren't offered to have our room changed for something more appropriate. The bunk beds shouldn't be a thing in a proper hotel, this place should be called a hostel. If we had known that we would get bunk beds, we would have looked for another hotel. It's definitely too expensive for something like that. On top of that, it took them two weeks to reply to our question, which we had asked before the arrival. And the parking was fully booked so we had to park in the city for a way higher price.

Excellent location, but poor hostel facilities: zero ambiance, poor cleaning and rude staff (even the lady manager). The Generator is right next to it, we spend most of our nights drinking there. Would definitely book other hostel in Berlin.

Great location, good connections. Breakfast is s little poor, cleanliness could be better (we found condom wraps and used band aids by the bed, the shower is full of mold. But, a cheap price for a city like Berlin kinda justifies it.

The hotel is in an amazing area, in the centre of Berlin: by then you can reach every important monument. The rooms are good, clean and the bed are confortable. The bathroon is tiny but very functional and it has everything you need: the shower is brand-new! But the most important thing is the value for money: unbeatable. We paid only 32 euro per night! I suggest to do your own reservation in the hotel website because they do lot of discount sometimes!

The placement of the hotel made it very easy to reach main attractions. I chose to stay at a mixed 6 bed room but ended up having the room all to myself. Things were clean and had everything you need for a good night's sleep. Breakfast options felt a little limited for what you pay but ok nonetheless.

Danke.

PRIME LOCATION This hotel gets the job done for sure! Their customer service is great and the hotel is very clean! Pros: perfect location for Uber or public transportation, coffee and drink prices are great, food and pubs literally all around the hotel Cons: loud outside all night if you leave the window open, small tv in room Overall, the price of staying here is perfectly aligned with what you get for your money.

Very good location and friendly staff. BUT we booked 6 beds room, got a dorm with 4 bulk beds in stead for the same price :/ Room was not clean, with trash on the floor from previous guests. Bathroom was missing napkins.

I enjoyed my stay at Meininger Hotel Mitte. A great location with a good walk to all the main attractions and sites. The breakfast was very good. My only complaint, this location is a hotbed for large groups of school age students for field trips. The breakfast room was a chaotic and congested experience on 4 of the 5 days I was there. That being said, the students were well chaperoned, contained in another area and floor, and I never heard a peep from my room. Very peaceful sleep.

By far the best hostel room I've stayed at. Very hygienic, perfect location, and kind staff. We had absolutely no problems whatsoever.

Everything was great the service at the desk was amazing and friendly but I had bad experience with one member of the team Who is food a bevarage manager. I was lying on the sofa with my foot on the ground at reception room after a long day walking .I was told to leave the hostel and i was told to be called the police even I was not rude with this member of the team .I slept that nigh in the hostel very frustated and upset .overall was a great hostel. It deserve 5 stars without this horrible esperience

Location great. Hotel OK. Staff good. But the experience was spoiled by out of control high school groups. Clearly, this is something the hotel often hosts--and that's OK--but they need to set limits for the kids (and their teachers) more clearly and forcefully.

Stayed in a 4 person room with 3 friends. Room was spacious and felt new. Only problem was that it was very hot when we were staying here, and had to keep windows open overnight to avoid overheating - but the bar outside still had people partying loudly until 5am which made it very hard to sleep. Despite this, the location was great in terms of transport. The metro was literally right out the front door, and trams were 20m away. Breakfast was good, even if a bit expensive. Highly recommend for a few days stay.

Our stay was great! We enjoyed the breakfast service and staff. The location of the hotel was convenient. We were able to easily explore by foot and the city using public transportation. The only downside was that the air conditioning stopped working two nights before our departure. We were given two different explanations as to why it wasn't working and the issue wasn't resolved.

We were a group of six girls and we stayed at a private room. The room, bathroom, twoels and sheets were all very clean. All the staff, from reception to the cleaners, was very friendly and always willing to help. The breakfast was very good as well and with a big variety. Because our flight was late evening we were able to leave our stuff at a warehouse, charge free and to continue our last day exploring Berlin.

The service staff at the counter is friendly and enthusiastic, but the hotel room is the same as other reviews. We are a family room for four people. The room is narrow and long, very narrow. There is no refrigerator, the TV remote control is broken, there is no room service, you have to tell the counter to get it, obviously it is a hotel, but the quality is backpack accommodation! Please ignore this if you have other good options

Pros: Very close to an S-Bahn stop right across the street. The beds were comfortable! Towels included was nice. Staff were kind and helpful. Free luggage storage for the day. (thank you!!) Cons: Shower had mold in it and bathroom smelled like urine. The room is too warm. The window opens a little bit but not enough to cool off the room. Expensive stay considering the condition of the room.

You can hardly call this place a hostel- it was so much more of a hotel! And for the price we could hardly believe how lovely our room was. Epic shower pressure, towels provided, hair dryer, incredibly clean, window with a view, TV and a little desk area + storage. We couldn't have asked for more. If that wasn't enough, the staff were lovely, always around at reception to help and had great food recommendations. The location was a 10-15 minute max walk from major tourist landmarks, resturants and super markets too. We weren't even paid to say this but we will 100% be back and 1000% recommend!

Great location, walking distance to most stuff. Subway, buses and tram right outside the hotel. Stayed with the 3 friends in bunkbed rooms. Great standard, bathroom decent sized and clean. Beds comfortable and good curtain. Good breakfast, all you can eat around 9€. Outdoor area in the middle as well.

Not bad Hostel - really modern rooms and nice comfy beds. Only factor bringing it down 2 stars are the mess in the dorm rooms/toilets which could have been avoided (dirty towels on floor, overflowing bins, no loo roll, hairs in sink) but we stayed there for 4 nights and the room was not cleaned once …

  • 5/5 Olivia R. 10 months ago on Google
Very clean. Stayed in a private room with a beautiful view of the city and the sunrise also. Staff very helpful. Though there is not a social vibe here. Big and impersonal hostel. If you’re looking to meet others I don’t recommend. Also seemed to be a lot of Germans staying here and oddly teenage girls?

  • 4/5 Kelvin H. 9 months ago on Google
Very handily located hotel. Good for families even though there is a hostel vibe. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Only fault is that the rooms could be better cooled (no air con/window opens to courtyard with noise until 11pm)

A very basic hotel although it is not cheap. We informed the reception that we left the window open so that it would get some fresh air and asked them to clean the room. They left the window open all day until we got back home, very late at night. We had to wait for hours so that the room gets warm. The breakfast is nothing special, very simple and with cheap materials. We had to place our used dishes to a specific trailer next to the kitchen like being in a youth hostel. Such a hotel with such prices is not acceptable to have such rules and conditions.

No parking, you will be forwarded to the Dorotheenstraße some 10 mins walk from hotel. No heating in the bathroom, room not cleaned properly. Breakfast was OK, and the S bahn location is in front of the hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. You get discount for kids if you book via hotel site directly. All in all-not too bad😊

A really good hotel!! The breakfast is simple but its quality was perfect! The location of the hotel was the best one! Exactly next to subway station and very close to famous landmarks and monuments. The bathroom was nice and also for people with disabilities! As far as cleaning is concerned, it could have been more detailed (for example in our room, the bunk hadn’t been cleaned). It’s really important to point out that you should request the cleaning of your room to the friendly and helpful receptionists. Also, I would have preferred to have more wardrobes inside my room! To sum up, I’m going to stay again in the hotel the next time I’ll come to Berlin! Danke! Ευχαριστώ!!

Room was bigger than expected which was a plus. Overall the rooms are pretty small, but it was quite manageable. WiFi in our room did not work at all, reception didn't attempt to help which is why this is 4/5 instead of 5/5. The room and bathroom were very clean and organized. Right next to S-Bahn Oranienburgstraße and M1/M5 tram, super good location and access to all transport.

  • 4/5 Denise F. 2 years ago on Google
The position was very good to visit the city centre and just in front of the sbahn and other public transportation. The staff was very nice and helpful, especially a guy whose name I don't remember but I think had Asian origins. The room was nice and clean, nothing fancy but everything was fine. One con is that sometimes we could hear noises from the street. A guest kitchen would be nice as well.

Our room was not very clean when we arrived and it didn't have enough ventilation. For everything else the hotel was really good. They had a spanish-speaker worker which made the things more easy for us.

The hostel is well located with tram in front of the entrance to either Alexandreplatz or Berlin central station. The staff are friendly and helpful. I didnt try the restaurant, but the coffee options at the reception vary and the price is affordable. My room is clean with separate locker for valuable belongings if needed. I also like the charging station at the reception.

Nice view, incredible shower, and good service. The bed wasn't all too comfy and the breakfast variation was mediocre, but those are only small trifles with how nice the shower was. Airflow is also pretty good, lobby was fun and I liked the vibe of the hotel. All in all, a good stay.

I stayed at the hotel and enjoyed the room as well as the desk people and cleaning crew. What surprises me is that I expected to stay later on again at the hotel and got Covid, and they denied without any further consideration a reimbursement by saying I did not pay for that additional when making the reservation. This approach of the pandemic lacks ethics, trying to get more money out of the uncertainty of the pandemic is a negative trait that the hotel should not adopt in the future.

I had so much fun at the hotel. I used it as a place for resting and recharging. I loved everything. From the staff, the breakfast, my room, the location, everything was really good, I highly recommend it.

Clean, great location and amazing service from the people who work there. It’s my second time in a Meininger hotel, and definitely it’s becoming my favorite. Excellent price for an excellent experience.

Booked it through they own website and didn't find the way to leave a comment to my order, that I NEED a double bed, because of my little kid (it was noticed, that it's a subject of availability). Meanwhile I've pay upfront and it was non-cancellable. When we've arrived, there was no such room (it was a room with 4 beds instead of 3, but NO double bed). And unfortunately, no other possibilities for change. The room itself (and especially WC) smelled of urine. But location, breakfest etc was super! So, - no options to leave a comments + too vary options for hotels for room replacing when book from their website - bad cleaning service

Hotel was located in a wonderful location. You can reach to it from Berlin train station in 15 min with public transport. Museum Island is 15 min walk away, It was great to stay in this place to due It's location. But I have to say that the rooms weren't clean enough, sheets were dirty and contains various hairs on it from different people. Rooms were a little bit small compared to the pictures but this can be tolerated due to the daily price but they should pay attention to hygiene, everyone can sleep in a small room but no one wants to sleep in a dirty bed. You can only pay in cards, no cash is allowed even in the cafe/bar of the lounge.

Stayed for a couple of days, its not bad, just feel more like a hotel than a hostel. It lacks the hostel vibe but if you're looking for a more chill well located place to stay, this might be it. Staff were always helpful and the hostel in general was clean.

  • 2/5 Abhisek K. 1 year ago on Google
Well, it wasn't bad for a cheap hotel where you share rooms. But a hostel needs to organize some activities otherwise it's just you and your luck with the room mates that you get. And for a hostel with no activities, you pay a bit much. But yeah the rooms, mattress and all were above average quality. Plus the reception as well as the receptionists could use some energy, light, etc.

Clean and neat hotel/hostel. Modern design for rooms. Bad noise insulation (windows/walls/doors). Few common areas, however has a nice outdoor terrace on the ground floor. Well placed with metro station right infront of it and a good amount of bars, restaurants, cafes in the streets and neighborhood around.

  • 4/5 Alex P. 1 year ago on Google
We booked a room for a 4 people family on they website, in order to get a really good price. Pros: Clean, friendly staff, lots of young people. Really cheep considering the city prices for a similar thing. Cons: small room for breakfast, considering the number of people staying there.

We would definitely come back to this place in the future! Wide and comfy rooms, very helpful staff that assists you with your inquiries. They also offer bike rental, however if you prefer to use public transportation, tram and metro stations are just in front of the hostel! Also it's 15 mins from Alexanderplatz and there are several places to have a drink or eat something.

I loved this hostel! Great staff, super clean and comfortable, everything we needed while travelling! A note: remember to bring your own lock for the lockers! I luckily remembered mine but my friends did not so we all had to jam our stuff in one locker. Overall I would absolutely come back to Meininger and I will definitely be looking for them in other cities.

Was worried when I read the reviews about cleanliness but I have no complaints about my room! Booked a max. 4 bed all female room and got a whole on suite for myself 😍 clean, comfortable, has plenty of towels and storage lockers… really can’t complain!! The location is amazing too!

  • 5/5 Carolin S. 1 year ago on Google
My son and I had a comfortable stay in this hotel. The location was very convenient to all attractions, the breakfast was amazing, the beds comfortable, the shower hot and clean. You can't ask for much more. Be aware though, the walls are paper thin. One night, our neighbours were having a karaoke party, but staff dealt with the issue promptly and all was good.

Hi I can say that we enjoyed staying at your hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, the overal atmosphere was nice and the breakfast with fresh breads was fantastic. But I think the space of the room was a bit small for three persons and also we expect some minimum equipment such as temporary house shoe and a small refrigerator. Best regards

Really great place. Stayed for 3 nights- staff were so kind & helpful, really nice, quiet outdoor seating area as part of the hostel plus a bar next door. Location was also great, metro right outside but walking distance from most places. Also had bikes that could be rented for €10 which was great to see lots of the city.

A very nice stay in a nice area! I liked it a lot there: easy travel from the airport, the nice clean room (having a desk and 2 chairs if u need to work), a comfortable bed with good linen and a towel (however, curtains for privacy would be good), the spacious bathroom with the needed toiletries (shower gel and soap, as well as face tissues). The bed was made for my arrival which was very convenient as i arrived late, the room was cleaned every day. The wifi was also stable and fast enough to take part in a video conference. Nearby there are a lot of restaurants and breakfast places, the area is very nice and safe, the tram stop is just in front of the hostel entrance. I will definitely come back!

Very nice location! The tram and metro are literally three steps away and this is the way to travel very easy through Berlin. The hostel is also near nice vintage stores and cafe's! Great hospitality also and easy to enter 24/7.

Perfect position, right in front of the tram and metro stops. The room was clean and the people were really good. I’ve travelled here alone and it has been a great experience. Super recommended !

I stayed in 2 bunk beds ( 4 female capacity ) for 3 days and 2 nights. The room and toilet were clean and tidy. There’s a TV too. Receptionists were so approachable and friendly. Worth the 50€ . 5/5 review! The negative side would be the noise from other guests. I can clearly hear the footsteps and screams of young people ( probably college students). As I noticed, the 3rd floor where I stayed only silenced at around 12 am onwards. The building , lounge, luggage area and toilet were clean too. Superb! Very accessible to all transport too

The worst I’ve ever been or heard of! I was invited by Meininger to this hotel and even placing new sheets they cant done it right, because they dont have any clean sheets or housekeeping's that actually work in this hotel!!! This was below any level and this is the worst service from the reception team.
