Overall, The Grimm was ok; however, the hotel DOES NOT have air conditioning. The website stated the hotel has air conditioning but it does not. We contacted the front desk and someone came to “check the system”, but it did nothing. Over the 5 nights we stayed at The Grimm, I adjusted the thermostat to both very high and very low and this made no difference in the room temperature. If you try to open the windows, it is VERY LOUD outside at all hours if the night making it impossible to sleep. The front desk claimed the “air conditioning system” for the hotel is not actually a “true air conditioning” but is rather dependent on outside temperatures. No vents or fans are used in this system. If you want air conditioning and a quiet hotel, book elsewhere. We asked for an isolation fan to move some air with in our room, but the front desk told us they did not have any.

Stayed here from 24.12.21 to 29.12.21. Overall, a value for money hotel. Clean rooms, decent location, food and service. Breakfast is good value too and our dinner at the restaurant was a pleasant experience. An area that can be improved is housekeeping- our shower gel container was left empty for the last 2 days of our stay and the empty bathroom tissue box wasn’t replaced either. Some other things to note are - the hotel is a 10 mins walk from most conveniences. There is no room service. Laundry is expensive and needs to be booked a day in advance. Don’t miss the coupon rack next to door and candies at the reception desk. Edit - it seems the hotel does have room service. We did not locate the menu though so maybe guests can order from the restaurant menu. I must appreciate the jolly fairy tale decor throughout the hotel. The service was warm and provided us with extra pillow and hangars on request. Other info - the hotel provides bicycles, umbrellas, gym and sauna & rooftop (extra charge; we did not use). We also saw an EV charging next to the hotel. Only shower gel and soap provided in toiletries. The balcony in our room had no privacy from other balconies on the side. The breakfast is buffet style with a wide selection of European meats, cheese, breads, cakes, fruits, coffee, tea and juices. Good value for 12 Euros per person. We found the double bed too small for our liking, it is probably worth upgrading or changing to a king sized bed for 2 medium to large sized people. Another area that can be improved is working telephones in the room.

Hotel exceeded our expectations. Very nice, quirky design. Comfortable bed and spacious walk-in shower. Staff was very nice and professional. Location is perfect no matter if you're by car, train or on foot.

Located in the center, hotle is very nice with so many amenities, great customer service and good restaurants. Rooms are a little smaller for the price but overall great experience.

Vuk is a lifesaver! I stayed here in May 2022 and came in very late at night (3am) we didn’t have any reservations and couldn’t find a good place in town. After explaining the situation to Vuk at the front desk he did everything possible to find us the last open room at the hotel and give it to us at a very fair price! Every other hotel we talked to just turned us away, but not Grimms and not our dude Vuk! Very much appreciate the care and hospitality being an American tourist out there. Good karma will come your way Vuk! Thank you!

Good nice hotel, a bit out of burstle of the city in a quiet green area near Mendelssohn metro station, but not far from anywhere as only one stop away from Postdammerplatz. Very neat and clean all over. At first the welcome was a bit rough since a 3 pm our room was not yet available. Something i also don't like is the policy of immediately grabing on your credit card for charging and invoicing you for all your stay within 2 minutes of your arrival. No choice allowed, ' this is house policy'. Nichts zu machen ! They made it up with a great suite with 2 beds and 2 tv's ! for same price, 150€ with good varied breakfast included. Good nice view on the skyscrapers of the square nearby. We stayed there also for dinner : the restaurant is pleasant, has a big terrace sunprotected during the day, super for lunch or dinner with nice waiters and original good food at good price. All in all a good place to recommend for any stay in Berlin !

What a wonderful hotel. Came here for a three night stay with my partner and we loved it as soon as we stepped in. I loved the fact it tastefully paid homage to Grimm's fairytales, and the location was absolutely spot on (2 minutes to the Underground and 10 minutes to Potsdamer Platz train station). Potsdamer Platz is a gorgeous part of Berlin, most places we wanted to visit were within walking distance and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. The only downside was that as Brits, we love a brew in the morning and there were no tea or coffee facilities in the room but everything else more than made up for it. We had a balcony with lovely views which we had drinks on most nights we were there until late. All in all a fantastic experience, would definitely recommend and if we ever visit Berlin again we will be staying here.

Very friendly staff. For example - I have trouble sleeping at night and like to go down to the lobby/dining room around midnight to sit, write and draw. Someone always offers me a glass of water. Even in the hallway they greet you and say good morning/good day. Room is OK, clean and nice. I like the playful theme of Grimm's fairy tales. But the 5 stars are awarded for the sympathetic staff alone <3

Reception was rude to us upon check-in. Our room was small and carelessly designed. Breakfast was overpriced for what they offer. They also don’t inform you the price at all until you get the bill.

What a hotel!! So welcoming and friendly, just very enjoyable to stay at. The staff is outstanding, recognising the needs of each guest, making you feel not only looked after, but also quite special. They create an almost homely atmosphere, always up for a chat and giving friendly advise how to spend the day. The rooms are very clean and you get certainly a great night sleep. The menu is fabulous with a great choice and very delicious, at any time of the day. The attentiveness of all staff has made my stay one to remember. Thank you all so very much!

Grimm's is a very nice hotel, the staf is friendly, and the rooms are nice clean with a great ensuite bathroom that had a rainshower. Good service like renting a bike, and a great breakfastbuffet. Decor is lovely but not to much fairytale. It's location is a great central place to start if you want to explore Berlin.

I will recommend this hotel to everyone! A room on the 7th floor with a beautiful view, as well as a terrace at the top of the hotel, hotel staff 10/10, very nice, helpful and with a sense of humor, I will definitely come back!

Very spacious rooms with fairy tales decoration/ design. One big plus is hard floor and no carpets. Everything was perfectly clean and staff so friendly and professional. Location is very good, close to public transportation, but also in walking distance to the city center and main tourist attractions.

A beautiful place at the side of Potsdamer Platz! • - Nice design - friendly stuff - balcony at the room 🤩 - a little old school (real keys instead of key cards for the rooms) - they like fairy tales ;)

Very nice hotel with good price. Also breakfast was good. One small issue - no battles with water in the room.

First, congrats to all Staff Members from Reception to House Keeping: they are kind, helpful and welcoming. Thank you. Room is clean and silent. House Keeping is done well and everyday. Breakfast is good, but expensive for what is offered. Location: looks to be a high-end area that is central to many touristic attractions. I’ll definitely book again especially if prices remain competitive. Thank you,

Fantastic service, and clean & nice rooms. In addition, they supported us, Berlin marathon runners, by letting us leave our luggage locked away after check out and even offering us a shower after the race! Shall I need a hotel in Berlin in the future, I will be certainly considering this hotel again! PS: my only little complaint is that the room temperature was a bit too high and woke up overcooked and dehydrated, not sure if temperature could have been adjusted.

Loved I found this awesome hotel at a great price! Very modern and chic with a cute fairy tale theme. Shower had a shelf for my necessities, which is super rare for Europe & was very exciting to see!

We really enjoyed the hotel. Location and was great, it was clean and modern and breakfast was more than we expected - really fresh and lots of choices, even for vegetarians. Our room was nice and we also enjoyed the sauna which is located by the roof terrace and a spectacular sunset can be seen from there. But most of all, our stay was great because of the exceptional service. Alex - food & beverage manager, was helpful and gracious in his every interaction with us and it truly left a remarkable impression. Zladko - front desk manager, kept us well cared for and was always cheerful and chatted with us as we came and went every day - we really appreciated having our Grimms friends there during our 6 night stay. I highly recommend and we'll be back for sure. Thanks!

Just returned from a 3 night stay at Grimms Hotel. It is an absolutely fabulous hotel. It is so comfortable and clean. Food delicious with a wide range of choice, gorgeous garden. Bedroom and bed so very comfortable, and a good night’s sleep is guaranteed. All the staff are amazing and so helpful and particularly the bar manager who will make you a great cocktail. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Berlin. Very easy to get around Berlin from this venue. It’s feels much more like a 4 star hotel. Will definitely be returning.

Loved our stay here; the rooms are spacious, very clean, and well cooled. The personnel is friendly and capable, and the extra service is amazing. We forgot some clothes and after a phone call the hotel was nice enough to ship it to us immediately!

One of the best places to stay in Berlin. The hotel is very well located, nearby U2 metro station as well as another U1/U3 station. Potsdamer platz is just few steps nearby. A nearby supermarket is there. The staff is so welcoming and professional. The rooms are large and very clean. The view is astonishing. The WiFi is excellent.

The hotel was friendly, welcoming (as were the exceptional staff. The reception was always manned and they couldn't do enough) The complimentary breakfast was next level. Meats, cheeses, pickles, smoked fish, fruits, full english, yogurt, cheesecakes... Everything you could imagine. The beds were extremely comfortable. I don't usually sleep well when traveling but the bed was clean and inviting. The shower was hot immediately and the pressure was incredible. The rooftop terrace was wonderful for taking in a panoramic view of Berlin. 10/10 I would absolutely stay here again and am planning to next year.
