BE CAREFUL! I had to pay for the parking twice! I made a reservation with the hotel's website. I've chosen the room with breakfast for 170€ for two nights and additional underground parking space for 7€ per night. Final price was 184€ and so far I thought everything was fine. I was surprised when I heard that I had to pay 18€ for parking at the checkout. I asked the receptionist to check it because as I remembered parking should be included. I heard that the checkbox on the website was only for reservation purposes and I have to pay anyway. Because I was in a hurry and didn't have the opportunity to check it myself I decided to pay. When I came home I checked everything again and realized that I was right, the parking price was included and I paid a second time during the checkout. I wrote an email to the hotel, asking for a refund. It's been a week and I have not received any response so most probably my money is gone, but maybe I can help someone in a similar situation.

So many things wrong with this place. First the room are not as described: beds have springs coming out of them, spider webs on the corners. That's only the rooms. The staff was so disorganized and rude. They gave me the wrong room I paid for (which I had to bring to their attention about to get it), then they tell me later check out is at 3 pm. As I'm getting ready to check-out there's loud banging from our door thinking it was a drunk person trying to cause a problem. I open the door to make the loud banging to stop to only find out it was the receptionist telling me I have to get out. I told him his staff informed be that late check-out is at 3pm and he didn't even apologize. Stay somewhere else than here. This place is a joke

We came and we didn’t even got a key to our room. They said the keys are all gone and we had to take a key only In the morning. So we slept without a key the guy only opened us the door. The hotel looks better in the pictures- the room is ok - nothing special at all very basic and not so maintained. The shower is not that nice and overall much below average. I will go only if you want a bed to crash for the night and you can’t find anything better . Not recommended. Location is quite good though.

Very poorly managed hotel. Stayed there with three work colleagues and by accident booked for the wrong dates, then tried to cancel/ replace these a minute later with the correct dates. This was denied, which is absolutely not acceptable. Our rooms were very outdated. There were loud parties until 3am in the student accommodation next door on 2/2 nights we stayed there.

Very dirty room, on the curtains weird colours - probably vomits from previous guests. Very dirty Bathroom, a lot of Fungus in there and dust. NEVER EVER AGAIN.

Overall OK for the money but hallway carpets littered with bleach stains and the room was really dated. Beds were super soft - worn out.

Stayed for 5 nights. Good location next to two stations. Plenty of shops nearby. Staff were very friendly and spoke English. Able to leave luggage all day and even store food in a fridge in the luggage room. Simple room, no kettle/tea or fridge. Water bottle is available for 4€. Had to request the room to be cleaned/towels changed multiple times as the cleaner either didn’t turn up or did not return later as we were still in the room. The WiFi was terrible. No password so anyone could connect. Couldn’t handle simple internet browsing, let alone streaming. I ended up using my data as my phone would automatically disconnect from it due to the internet speed. The carpet in the corridor was stained (with bleach??). It served the purpose of a place to sleep, but for the price, breakfast not included, it was not worth it at all.

The hotel was at a very good location close to the city centre, restaurants, shops and the train station. The room was very comfortable and clean with attached bathroom. The room was equipped with all the facilities. I had a very good time staying at this hotel. The only thing I didn’t like was that Wifi didn’t work at all.

heating turned off in December, no water in the taps all day, renovation of the hotel even on Sunday at 7am walls and hammer pounding, problems with wifi. On the plus side, the hotel service, very nice and friendly. Good price

Me and my parents stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in 2 separate rooms. Overall a good hotel, rooms are spacious, location is also good with two metro station at less than 5 minutes walking and the hotel itself is big but we had some issues with the service: - my parents were given a wrong keycard TWICE, leading them to a room with a 'not disturb' sign and being (obviously) unable to open it. At the third time they got a key for a different room. - absolutely NO wifi in my room (room 331 fyi) - the 'free drink' in exchange of no cleanings is kinda obscure. I left the sign with the 'free drink' outside my room but the cleanings were done the same. To be honest I didn't care a lot about the free drink itself, nevertheless I went to ask for informations at the desk about the cleanings and got a 'ok we'll check' as an answer. and no free drink, of course. would consider to return if any of these issues were solved.

Avoid this hotel at all costs! The room smelled really funny with hair on the mattress and towels. Non-existent noise and light isolation and cheap, uncomfortable mattresses make for a miserable stay. The worn-out carpet and furniture screamed neglect, creating a dismal environment. Receptionists were impolite, asking me wait (even though there was nobody else) instead of welcoming me after a tiring trip to get to the destination. Don't repeat my mistake – find a better place to stay! Hotel is facing a main street with rails in the middle, therefore you can imagine the noise. I decided to check out immediately upon seeing all of this even though i already paid and i knew i couldn’t get a refund.

A place to crash, that's literally it, nothing special... for the price I paid, I think this hotel offered that. It's close to the U bahn metro, and bus stops which is good Rooms were very basic, but it has all the things I cared about, a nice shower, a safe and good internet connection. and it was clean enough. The staff were friendly and helpful whenever I had to ask about something, I lost one of the room keys, and they didn't charge me for it.

The hotel is located near U bahn and Bus station. There are shops, markets and restaurants near the Hotel. I stayed in winter time, the room was warm. It’s not new hotel and it’s very basic. The lobby ,rooms and elevator (one of them was out of order) are like in the ‘90. The room is quite large and clean, the toilet is small. The TV is also small and there is no minibar in the room. The breakfast is also basic. Overall it’s 3* hotel so it worth for the money

The location was good, the prices are reasonable as well. The only things that I think can be improved is the service. We was here around 2:15pm asking for check in early for 30min, the room definitely are ready. Don’t know why they want keep the room empty and not allow customer check in early. Hope this can be improved for next time visit

Extremely unprofessional hotel! - toilet was dirty when we arrived (see attached picture), we had to clean it ourselves. We said it to the receptionist if somebody can please clean it the next day and also change our towels since they looked used, she said yes but not once in our three nights stay did somebody clean our room! We did not even get any reimbursement or treats. - beds extremely uncomfortable - moldy bathroom - old smell in the rooms - generally old rooms - elevator was broken one day and had to walk five floors upstairs. - location was good, near subway and bus lines. Forgot to mention: - you basically put your small bathroom under water when you shower. - pretty much no WiFi connection.

2nd time l stay in this hotel and l totally recommend. Rooms are spacious. U feel like you are in an airbnb appartment with receptionists at the front desk. Very great location. The only con : when l sleep in the day l like my room to be very dark. But the big windows which have curtains still let the light get in ..

worst hotel ever! they make us pay again the total amount, when we already paid with booking because they send that the reservation does not exist, the same happened to a couple next to me! Be careful, and do not stay at this hotel.

Maybe it's not the most up to date hotel but employees are really kind and helpful, breakfasts are absolutely fantastic and location is great.

The location of the hotel was good. Right next to the u-bahn at bülowstrasse and within walking distance of shops, smaller restaurants and other things. The breakfast was fine and the staff was also polite. We arrived 45 minutes after check-in and had to wait, since our rooms weren't ready. The rooms were quite bad comparing to what we had expected, to be within the price range. The rooms did not have a fridge or minibar, neither was there an electric kettle. There were hardly any space for clothes if one wishes to unpack. The walls were dirty, especially in the toilet which was also very small. The paint was chipping of at the toilet wall and the radiator at the toilet, and there were black mold between the tiles. The curtains and other surfaces were dusty. Our trash bin had not been emptied before arrival and contained empty bottles from the previous guests. There were also scraps of paper under the bed, and the stalk from a bag of grapes! The carpet in the hallway was covered in stains (possibly from bleach?) and all the chairs in the breakfast room and lobby were worn out and the faux leather was coming off. The elevator took forever and was often blocked by staff, making it impossible to be used, even though one in our party struggles with staircases. Generally speaking the place seems outdated and in need of a makeover, which would definitely make the place a whole lot better!

Generic hotel. Rooms were clean. Bathroom and carpet showed signs of their age. One of three elevators were out of order, but the other two worked fine. Walking distance to metro and bus.

  • 3/5 Coralia-Alexandra C. 2 years ago on Google
Good price for the money, pretty clean, but rooms are small (at least the double ones). Moreover, the attitude of the staff was not always appropriate, that is not at all friendly, particularly that we just arrived. The guy that was dealing with our bookings had no idea of how to handle stress nor work in multitasking like reception personnel is expected to.

Stay was good. Location is best Compared to other hotels in same range room is wider. But oldish. Is not of any concern for short stay. Room amneties are less but its okay Also, Anyone seeing this from the Hotel. Please reply to my Mail. I stayed there between 25th april to 21st may and I did fasr checkout forgot to take the Invoice. Actually i would have liked to have given maybe 3,5 stars but gave it 4. For the price, amenities and location you can't beat it. Check-in was excellent staff very friendly and professional. Nothing fancy but decent and very convenient therefore recommendable.

Last week I stayed at Novum Hotel specifically at room 428. The location is quite good but unfortunately I didn't sleep well because I was bitten by the bed bugs. I wasn't sure before but after checking several reviews about the same issue, I am more confident now that it was bed bugs. I would kindly request the hotel to take a deep look at this issue so that guests can have pleasant stay in the future.

Let's start with the most positive thing about this hotel. The breakfast is a buffet with a good variety of foods, the breakfast room is also the cleanest of the whole hotel with the least worn chairs of the hotel... The rest : quite bad. This was probably the worst hotel I've been in a long time for the price u pay (man the average hostel is better than this). -the front of the hotel looks dirty, dated and quite frankly a bit like a lousy food shop from the outside. -check-in went chaotic with a girl who didn't know her job well, she informed customers in parts and bits at best, standard politeness was missing. She wasn't rude by definition, she just wasn't.. skilled for customer service. -the elevators are very outdated and make you genuinely ask if these are still safe but for sure they are quite ugly, also some don't work. It gives a detention center feeling. Check my photo... The photos of the advertisement of this hotel are very misleading. -The rooms are extremely basic, just 2 lights. An extremely small television which buzzed all of a sudden unexpected during the night (i unplugged it). The bathroom is extremely basic and 1980s at best, the sink was partially clogged so the water didn't drain well. The room was so small that all things became unpractical. There is one bottle of water in the room. There is no airco, the sound isolation is extremely bad, light actually peaks through the front door (u can be assured that every passing visitor of your room you hear loud and clear up to a distance even). No usb plugs, not enough electricity plugs unless u unplug the one lamp at ur night desk next to bed, no ironer, just zero things, a bare room except for a little vault. -after the first day returning in the room my room wasn't cleaned up, worse was the towels weren't refreshed. All in all this hotel a very subpar for the pricing and actually the misleading (Photoshopped?) photos give the urge to consider 1 instead 2 stars. Be warned on those photos. That is NO bar, its a part of the breakfast room and it isn't in use at all. The hallway of those elevators ARE incorrect, the rooms are not at all like in the advertise photos! Fred

Terrible customer service. I tried to cancel my booking. The call was immediately dropped when the agent heard I wanted to cancel the booking. And I get no response from the E-Mail. (Update) I wish your customer service team would respond as quickly as the PR team. Up until now, I haven't received any response regarding my cancellation. Neither through the email I sent two weeks ago to the address you provided nor through the phone. It appears that the phone number for Aldea Berlin is being forwarded to the reservation center in Hamburg. The agent there either hung up upon hearing about the cancellation or forwarded me to the same number in Berlin, leading me into a frustrating loop. I can't fathom the chaos behind this situation and can't believe how much time it has cost me just to cancel a hotel booking. (By the way, the statement that you can cancel your booking online is also untrue. There is no option to do so on the website.)

Outdated design, stained carpets, and my room was for five people (3 plus 2 beds in second room), but was alone. Small bathroom with white tiles and dirty tile grouts. Had small TV, closer to 2004. Still, it was clean, breakfast was good, with decent options, and location is amazing. Be sure to check your reserved room vs promo photos.

The room, even though it was the smallest one, was quite spacious. All very new and modern. The bathroom was really good, clean and big. They could invest some money on better elevators but other than that I totally recommend it.

There were problems with our booking but they were sorted out efficiently. The room is very sparse, but it is clean and the beds comfortable and let's face it, I've come to Berlin to sightsee not sit in a hotel room. For the right price, a decent hotel from which to base ourselves

Very good location, three stations from Potsdamer Platz. The service is also excellent. Only it's gonna be so noisy when the accommodation is in the tramway's side.

Great Hotel with many awesome places to east close by. The hotel is very close to bus stops and 3 metro lines so you have good connectivity throughout the city without any hassle. They allow luggage storage in case you reach early and want to roam the city or you have checked out but have time before your train or flight. They have a lot of information guides for tourists in the reception area and some might even lead to discounts or gifts at the mentioned tourist spots of carried along. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The stay here was nice.

Perfectly good hotel, reasonably priced and good location. There's a few prostitues hanging around the area at night, but this is Schöneberg and its reputation is longstanding. I didn't pay for breakfast and it seemed expensive. The nearby Edeka supermarket has a good selection of pastries and yoghurts for a fraction of the price.

  • 3/5 Merve T. 1 year ago on Google
Location n is good, very close to underground station. Nothing special about the hotel. Needs renovation. Our kettle didn’t work. Our third bed in the room was a sofabed that was really uncomfortable. I would go again but would ask for details in advance.

This place was not bad at all. Rooms were quite nice and the hotel's location is great. The only minor niggle was that the didn't replenish the coffee and milk daily - although they did replace the towels.

Very unpleasant and unhelpful reception. We had no hot water for two days. They could not even answer properly if they will repair it.

  • 3/5 Monica B. 1 year ago on Google
Perfectly ok place. Cheap. The rooms are ok. Very small batmrooms. But, nice and clean. Great location. The neighbourhood seemed a bit run-down, but it has lots of great bars and restaurants. A good place to stay if you only need somewhere to sleep.

  • 1/5 Kevin P. 1 year ago on Google
Be careful, they will make you paid things that were supposed to be included. Also the comment of the receptionist about the luggage care was very unpolite and didn't give me trust on them. I was afraid they could steal us...

We stayed for 3 nights and during our stay there were absolutely no problems whatsoever. Hotel staff was very friendly and had no difficulty speaking in English. Sure, the interior is slightly older than most hotels around, but for the price, it was fantastic. Breakfast wasn't that diverse, but everything was fresh, and there was plenty of everything.

A very basic hotel. it provides you with the absolute basics and not super clean. the bathroom is small and again not super clean. the location is very good, in the neighborhood you can find a lot of restaurants and bars.

check in took a long time, it was supposedly due to new housekeeping but it took us 3 hours to finally be able to check in. After arriving at the allocated check in time (1pm) we got told our room would take another 1-2 hrs to be ready. when we came back a couple of hours later we then still had to wait another hour in the hotel lobby before finally being allowed in to our room. The room itself was in fine condition however very dated and looks nothing like the images online. staff were not helping the long check in times, the lobby was full of people with the same issues and the staff were claiming the wait time would only be 10 or so minutes but it took much longer than that. overall a very frustrating experience.
