Gorki refused to refund us 2037EUR for 7 nights that we booked last year before the pandemic. They took our money and offered nothing in return but bad service and attitude.

Awful place. Reception staff is incredibly unfriendly, big attitude, I have never felt so unwelcome. Zero sense for service and hospitality. Rooms are very basic, way overpriced for what they are. Cheap furniture, thin and dirty towels, feels like a budget student flat. Location is good, but that's the only positive of this place. Also, beware of hidden fees - if they find a way to screw you, they will. Avoid this place. Update: Gorki have emailed me following my review, threatening me with legal action if I don't remove my review! This explains the relatively low count of genuine, negative reviews on here.

I travel a lot, and of all the places in the world I’ve stayed, this is one of my favorites! The apartments are stunningly beautiful, well, equipped, spotlessly clean, spacious, and inviting. The location is fantastic in a very fun neighborhood with lots of great restaurants around. The staff was exceptionally helpful, accommodating, and available any time I needed anything, no matter what it was!

Very bad custom service. No flexibility and rude. I had a personal experience witnessing your "service" for my friend, who has been your client for the past 10 years. Unfortunately, the outcome was far from satisfactory as it brought her to tears. Bravo! It seems you have managed to create an exceptional vacation experience, albeit in a negative way.

When I was checking out, the front desk person asked a housekeeper in German (assuming that I don't understand) to run to my room and check if the hair dryer is there. And the housekeeper streamed to the 3rd floor to make sure that she can check and report it back before I leave. I have never been accused of stealing from a hotel room before. It was so offensive and inappropriate. The 24/7 concierge service is very deceiving and unprofessional. When I inquired if they have a spare mask, they said that they will bring it to my room, and of course they have it. Only 5 days later upon check out, I found out that they are charging me for it. There is no price list in a room. The concierge person never disclosed it to me. I never agreed to pay for it. I paid for it upon check out, of course. The room was ok. The housekeeping was not consistent, they stopped cleaning my dishes at the last 4-3 nights of my 8 night stay. You can hear people from other rooms. It was a bit too much, especially at night. The room also had a weird smell. The pillows are not ergonomic, not even close. I am not coming back.

Gorgeously designed, spacious, practical set around a dreamy courtyard with charming and welcoming front desk personnel -- they went out of their way to be helpful, between providing a steam iron and yoga mats. Definitely coming back here on our next trip to Berlin

The attitude of the customer service is not customer orientated. I booked one night by with the wrong date by mistake and they called me suggesting this isn’t refundable, and if they have the choice they will charge me. Never seen this at a hotel before, such audacity of attitude and way to talk to me. It wasn’t my first time booking with them.

The Gorki apartments in Berlin are in a perfect area near great places for breakfast or drinks later, buses and underground and sightseeing. Beautiful interior apartments that are super quiet and open to a courtyard with chirping birds. Excellent friendly staff that are available 24/7 by text and stunningly appointed apartments. Will always stay here when I come to Berlin!

Good location and nice room allocated for my stay. However …. for my 4 night stay the room was not serviced on 2 days, despite the “Please make up room” sign hung over the outside door handle. Staff (via WhatsApp) were apologetic and offered a bottle of wine, but I declined as I don’t drink. Also offered if I wanted the room serviced for the next day (?) , but as I was checking out 3.30am it was no point and I would’ve expected better or even a phone call to apologise. The rolls of toilet paper I requested (via WhatsApp) arrived promptly thou. Some plumbing issues with the shower recess flooding with water entering the bathroom. A serious safety / slippage hazard. Solved by placing the floor mat to soak up the water. The Room Safe was inoperable which was eventually repaired after a few hours, after telling me they’ll be there in “5 minutes”. Using WhatsApp for making requests was odd and not personable for guests. Considering the above issues I expected better for a ~ 275 euro per night stay accomodation. Upon checkout and settling the account I was not even asked how my stay was.

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Gorki Apartments in Berlin from December 14th to December 19th, marking our second visit to this charming establishment. We opted for the luxurious comfort of Apartment Categorki 1, just as we did during our first stay in December 2018. Location is key, and Gorki Apartments certainly delivers in this regard. Situated perfectly within the heart of Berlin, we found ourselves within walking distance of many iconic landmarks and attractions. And public transportation was easily accessible. The convenience of being centrally located added immeasurable value to our time in the city. What truly sets Gorki Apartments apart is their commitment to guest satisfaction. During our stay, we were pleasantly surprised to find a Peloton bike in our room, ensuring we didn't miss a beat in our workout routine even while on holiday. This thoughtful addition reflects the hotel's dedication to meeting the diverse needs of their guests. The staff at Gorki Apartments deserves special mention for their exceptional service. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable with their easy communication via WhatsApp. Their insightful recommendations for local restaurants and museums added a personalized touch to our trip, enriching our exploration of the vibrant city. And laundry service was very efficient. A highlight of our visit was the staff's suggestion to check out the new Christmas Market at Humboldt Forum. This festive market proved to be a delightful experience, featuring a charming selection of food and a more intimate atmosphere compared to some of the more crowded markets in the city. It was the perfect way to get into the holiday spirit while avoiding the hustle and bustle. In summary, our return to Gorki Apartments was nothing short of fantastic. The combination of a beautiful room, impeccable service, and thoughtful amenities made our stay truly memorable. We highly recommend Gorki Apartments to anyone seeking a luxurious and personalized experience in the heart of Berlin. We eagerly anticipate our next visit to this exceptional establishment.

The discreet door leading to the Gorki allows entrance to a quiet courtyard entrance to check-in where the friendly and helpful staff await.

Wonderful experience at the Gorki Apartments. The rooms are beautiful and welcoming. The staff is extremely accommodating and will respond to WhatsApp messages, any questions you have at any time. Wonderful place to stay as a first time in Berlin. Would stay again for sure.

I loved staying there. The place was a luxury, the staff, friendly and professional, and the location, unsurpassable. I literally had 3 restaurants (and 1 kiosk) within 15 meters of the place. Next time I have to travel to Berlin, I will definitely be staying there.

Excellent service, clean, fun apartment. Prime location close to transportation, bars, restaurants, direct tram line to Hauptbahnhof. Very friendly and helpful staff. The apartment facing the court yard was very quiet. It is more suitable for a couple without children as there are some transparent glass walls. Not the best for long stays as it is a studio.

Truly gorgeous apartment in a fantastic location. Would absolutely stay here again. The only note is that it gets extremely warm in the summer, the dyson fan in the room wasn't powerful enough for us. Opening the windows at night did the trick, but in looking at other reviews it seems like the penthouse options have AC. Will likely book that next time.

Great location with access to various cuisines offering a spectrum of easy to fine dining. Excellent, friendly and helpful staff makes a stay at Gorki super special. Eclectic decorations create bespoke accommodations for those weary of cookie-cutter hotels. Truly something out of the ordinary.

I stayed here with my boyfriend in June and this was our first time in Berlin. This place is really well designed and well kept. Pros - well decorated spacious room with a cozy feel to it that it makes you want to stay in it for longer instead of going out! - staff is very welcoming and willing to help with whatever is needed. - location is very good, there is a lovely bakery in front of it (ziet für brut) and a few other food options which are good. - it is very close to a park, like a 2min walk and the park is called Weinbergspark. - wifi works well. Cons Everything was perfect. The only observation i would make is that the tv is far from the bed in a wall bracket that doesn’t stretch much so it stays a bit far if you have myopia like me.

Do not stay here in the summer. Rooms do not have AC and are ridiculously hot and stuffy, especially the larger rooms. Also, some of them smell bad. When I tried to get a change their response was “it doesn’t smell that bad” and “its your fault for not knowing they were going to be this hot.” The people at the front desk and the management was incredibly unhelpful and rigid. This place has the price of a luxury hotel but the space and the service of a budget hotel. There are much better deals and nicer/larger places elsewhere in Mitte.

Nice area and not to bad rooms but there is a lot of better hotel for this price level in the area. I have never meet staff at a hotel that are less flexible.

A place as unique and interesting as Berlin itself A run down heavy door hides a surprising gem. Early June 2022, I stayed for 4 days in Penthouse 1, a unique and generous space in the front building assessable through a designated elevator. It consists of a mastersuite, 2 additional bedrooms with another shared bathroom, a well appointed kitchen, which any chef would approve of, a living room with working fire place, center room with a dining table, easily accommodating 10 people, a seperate loft space with a quiet working area and an add-on, that could sleep two more people. There is a spacious secluded roof garden above, with views towards the TV tower and an additional terrace adjacent to the dining room, which due to the huge sliding glass doors could create a wonderful space to entertain on a warm summer day. There is also a seperate utility room with a washer and dryer, which come in handy. Everything is fully air conditioned with individual split units that allow for truely customized settings. The rooms are well furnished and clean in an eclectic style that suits the city. All appliances, furnishings and household goods are modern and of good quality. There is thorough daily housekeeping which makes this an ideal accommodation for families, small groups or people who just like the luxury of space and options. Despite the lively and central location in Berlin Mitte, with street restaurants, bakeries and outdoor cafes, the excellent windows create an oasis of quiet. The young staff under Laura Kockott is utmost professional, friendly and accommodating which rendered my stay a surprising and enjoyable one..

This gem of a place in a vibrant neighborhood made our visit to Berlin perfect. Our Gorki home -a huge one bedroom apartment - was comfortable, stylish and had everything we could want. The staff is super friendly and available to give recommendations or assistance at any time. Next time we are in Berlin we will be sure to stay at the Gorki apartments again.

Perfect apartment for a perfect stay in Berlin: Located at a "place to be", as I would describe Rosenthaler Platz and its cafes, bars, and restaurants, and in a short distance to several places of interest. A cool and young team manages the Gorki-Apartments, everybody feels welcome and even young again (even if already in the sixties, as I am).

Fantastic stay - really couldn't have been better. Beautiful apartment and great location. Particularly appreciated the cake on my birthday - that was a lovely surprise!

We loved our stay in the Gorki Apartments! It was very well located, the service was great, and the apartment was so cute. Great food located on the block, and the breakfast service was excellent. Would definitely recommend for anyone traveling to Berlin!

We have stayed at the Gorki numerous times, particularly my wife has been there several times in the last few months. She made the reservation also this time and reserved the booking with our Papal business card. However, when I arrived a few hours before her I was asked to pay the room in advance, the staff cited that is their policy. I questioned their approach, particularly as we have repeatedly been guests recently. I did not have a credit card on me, nor the full amount in cash for the room (Euro 260 per night). I stated my bewilderment at that insistence and gave the staff the opportunity to reconsider their approach. They did not come up with an alternative. Having travelled up to Berlin for several hours that is not the welcome I expect from a Hotel at that price point. Thankfully that price point offers plenty of alternatives to stay in Berlin and we will spend our money with Hotels that offer real guest accommodation in the true sense of the word. The reply of the hotel to my review is completely wrong. I was asked for money, not my wife’s phone number, which is on record anyway. Had I been able to pay right away I would have been let into the room, this was not a question of security at all. In addition, I handed over my identity card, showing clearly that we have the same family name. The room was ready, so on a very hot summer day to deny access to the room is not my understanding of good guest relationship at all. No apology was provided, it is just very upsetting to be treated in such unprofessional way.

My experience at the Gorki apartments was fantastic! I've tried many other places in Berlin, and this is by far my favorite place to stay. It feels like you have your own Berlin apartment - well stocked and very comfortable. The staff at the apartments is also fantastic - they picked up groceries, did laundry, and were always available to help answer questions! Excellent customer service. I'll definitely be back!

Not at all a nice place! Staff is unfriendly and greedy, not helpful nor service minded. We stay a lot in hotels and work within the industry, never experience a place more rude. Rooms are ok, but too expensive and not worth it. Find another option in Berlin instead!
