I was told only after I booked that there was an extra fee for late check in. Fine - but when I tried to check in, they didn't have a key for me and couldn't get me a room. I waited for an hour for them to sort something out but they couldn't do anything. I was left without a place to stay after midnight and had to scramble for somewhere else. Luckily there are lots of chain hotels in the area. Honestly best to avoid.

Usually, I don't write bad reviews. However, I have never been treated this bad in my life before, paid over 1,000 EUR without getting anything in return. Nobody answers my phone calls or messages. Through an accident, I pushed the book button and booked 14 nights in this hotel. I realized straight away and tried calling them, but nobody answered. Then I wrote an E-Mail, tried calling for many days. After two days I finally talked to a Frau Meyer, who said that the people in the office need to check the E-Mails but she cannot do anything about it. The next day, I've received an offer to get 10% back of the full payment (which would have meant paying over 900 EUR for a wrong click!) Therefore, I found someone who would stay a few days in my stead, so that my loss would be limited. On the day of the check-in I arrived at 6.20pm and was surprised that the door was locked and nobody was there. As usual phone calling and writing mails did not help, so I went next morning instead to get the keys. The check-in lady told me that my booking had been cancelled by the manager called Frau Meyer who can decide these things (the same Frau Meyer that I had spoken to earlier and who apparently didn’t have any power to make decisions) as I was 20 minutes late for my check in. I said that I am paying the room for 14 nights in full and should be getting my key. Long story short, they said that they are within their right and I will have to pay the full amount without getting the hotel room. All my calls and messages have been ignored since. Only my credit card had a cost of over 1000 EUR deducted from it. I would have never thought that anything like this could happen. I feel scammed out of a huge amount of money, I got lied to and ignored. I can only recommend anyone to stay away from this hotel as far as possible.

I spent one night here in May 2017 and received a very clean, albeit small, room. The service was super friendly, which is not exactly common in Berlin, but is only there from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Since there is no breakfast here, that's not a big deal. The hotel is very centrally located, about a quarter of an hour's walk from Potsdamer Platz. The surrounding area is not suitable for families due to the street life, but the City Stop is really suitable for one person and a short detour to Berlin Mitte.

Perfect for young people who just want to sleep in the room and explore the city for the rest of the day. Not recommended for anything else.

Great service, great rooms. Reception very nice and helpful. Right in the center, it couldn't be better and the prices are absolutely amazing. You can only give ☆☆☆☆☆. Keep it up and wish you many guests

Nice room and location, near a U-station. Check-in only until 18, after you have to pay a €10 late fee. Kitchen was okay, although the fridge could have used a good cleaning. Would recommend it.

This hotel was exactly what I needed. Gay friendly. Some great other guests (of all walks of life) which you can meet in the communal kitchen/lounge area. Fantastic staff and a very hospitable host. Just the sort of place you want to be when you want cheap and friendly but more private that a hostel. P.s. You will need to check into this place before the staff knock off for the day at 6pm. Fair enough, unless you let these friendly people know otherwise.

For the price I am super happy with this accommodation. The room was absolutely sufficient for us. A comfortable bed and a small private bathroom. The location is great for easy access to all important districts in Berlin. The reception is very friendly and is very uncomplicated. There is also a small communal kitchen available and there is a bakery directly downstairs in the house. If you're looking for something more sophisticated, you should look elsewhere. Price-performance ratio is definitely the same here. We would like to come again.

We were supposed to give this hotel 4 stars. We really aren’t picky and the rooms are quite nice for the price you’re paying. It’s extremely cheap and good location. However, the last night of our stay some alarm started to beep and we were trying to contact the stuff (that’s hardly ever present) and we could hear the phone in their little room. So no way to contact anyone and ask for help. We ended up booking another hotel to make sure we are safe. That’s why we are giving them 2 stars.

Convienient place to stay, its only few minutes to the metro stop, as well city center is in walkable distance. In a neighborhood lots of bakeries and kebab places. Overall great choice for spending couple nights in Berlin.

Rooms are dirty, sheets are dirty, everything is broken, sinks are clogged, warm water depends on whoever knows what. The location is sort of immigrant ghetto with lots of noise. Had much more pleasant experience for the same amount of money. Would not recommend.

Very nice guesthouse well located in central Berlin. Well located just a few meters away from the underground station, with nearby cafés, bakeries and a couple of restaurants. Even though my room didn't quite match the photos on the site, it was pleasant enough and functional. Bed was comfortable. My room was facing the inner courtyard so it was very quiet. Nice communal kitchen with free coffee and tea. Internet access was very good and it's complimentary. The TV in my room didn't work - it's an IPTV based system and apparently the bandwidth available to the TV was not sufficient, so it displayed the message "Kein Data". No big deal since I spent most of the time outside and I could always watch the news online on my iPad, as the in-room internet access was very good.

It is the worse hotel I ever been, not only for the facilities but for the people that works there. The room was dirty and most things were broken. I pay for 5 nights and I only stay for one night because it was to late to look for a new hotel with my kid, and they decide not to give my money back. I do not recommend this hotel, especially if you have kids.

This "hotel" (more like a dirty flophouse) can really ruin your vacation. The pictures are beautiful and promising - the reality is not. The two of us were given a tiny room with broken cheap furniture, which was very dirty! The ceiling had many holes and stains. The bedspread that was placed over the freshly made bed had many white spots that clearly showed that it had not been washed for a long time. It was an absurdity through and through! And that for 120 euros for two nights. When we contacted the owners, they read the messages and inquired about cleanliness, but we received no response! This “hotel” is really not recommended!!!

Negatives: - The only people we spoke from the city stop berlin were the people who gave us the Keys and that was at a döner kebab place 2 Doors next. - the rooms are too noisy if there is someone walking to their room you hear it loud and clear, if anybody talks in the room next to yours you can follow conversation without missing a word. Thisn't Much of a problem at Day time but it is when you try to sleep what obviously is not going tot happen. ( I live next to a buzzy highway and never have any sleeping problems what so ever ) - the kitchen is a not clean at all. Food rests and stuff. ( Me and my mother desided to Just try to sleep here and Stay away from our appartment as Much as possible.) - the toilet and shower are really small the shower is as high as my shoulder ( I am 1,94 meter that's Just a bit over 6 feet ). - I slept in another hostel in Berlin that was just a bit more expensive but Just good only down side was that it doesn't have a toilet and shower in Every single room wich this hostel has. Positives: - you have a place where you can safely store your rented bikes. - it had a sower and and toilet in Every single room. - there is a Little shop ( rewe city ) 20 meters South. - the room looks okay. - the beds are suitable for people under 2 meter ( Just over 6 feet ) Conclusion: If your asking me for €30 per person a night it is ways too expensive. ( I barly slept and I didn't slept on the traffic side of the building)

It's worth it for the price and is well central. Don't let the pictures fool you! The common kitchen is not nearly as clean as the picture. Our room itself was fine. No great dirt found. On the second night my pillow cover came off a bit and the pillow was disgustingly sticky. The stove smells a bit charred when you turn it on and there were cheap, chewed dishes in the cupboard. A single pan with a broken coating in the cupboard and dirty glasses. There is a small fridge which is good. But when I opened the freezer compartment there was an open leaking ice cream in there... In the end, I couldn't sleep one night without three slatted frame slats constantly hitting the floor at the same time! In addition, at 11:30 p.m. at night and during the day there is a constant ringing of bells because someone has forgotten their key. Apart from that, nice staff and the bus stop is right outside the door. However, you should pay much more attention to cleanliness and hygiene and clean all rooms PROPERLY after use!

Okay place to spend a night, the bathroom wasn't so clean. But the price was lower than 30 euro for 1 night. I personally wouldn't come again but it was really okay for the price and in mes heart of the city

There is no indication in the description of this accommodation that a stay with small children is not recommended. Absolutely not recommended for travelers with small children! When we arrive, it turns out that we have to climb 1 floor without a lift with luggage and a stroller. If you arrive early, there is no option to drop off your luggage or wait on site. The staff is friendly, but they were late for check-in, we stood in the pouring rain with our luggage and a small child and were lucky that someone opened the door for us so we could shelter in the hallway. Rooms are functionally furnished, but nothing more than that - light bulbs are missing, lampshades are half hanging down, bed linen has holes in it, stains and hairs on the sheets. It is extremely noisy, you can hear every door and every conversation from the next room, difficult with a small child. The “no smoking” signs seem to be just decoration, staff or owners (?) smoke in the staff area, which can be clearly smelled when you open the room door. The “guest kitchen” specified in the description is completely filthy, the microwave is crusted black, dirty dishes are everywhere. When we criticized us, the answer was “the kitchen is not included in your room”. Stupid if you want to heat up food for your baby. The bottom line is that the accommodation is sufficient for those who travel alone, just want to spend the night cheaply and are not forced to stay in the premises.
