Is centrally located and has good connections. However, the check in wasn't really friendly. My room was somehow okay. I wouldn't say it was dirty, nor did it smell musty, even though the furnishings are extremely old. The toilet was only cleaned from the inside. The light switches were also dirty. My blind didn't go all the way down and so others could see into my room. It seemed clean, but only superficially. My shampoo bag was stuck or leaked. I just threw it away. In the bathroom you can only use one thing, the hairdryer or the heater. But what really annoyed me in the end was that I couldn't even leave my bag at the hotel for the day so I could take it with me before I left. I've never experienced it before. A pity.

The room was really dusty. Very small kitchen. No sponge for washing dishes. For 4 nights stay they didn't change towels. The toilet paper wasn't refilled every day, we needed to ask the cleaning lady for it. Wifi is bad and available only in some places in the room. If I knew that it is russian owned business, I would never stay here.

This is not a good place to stay and is certainly not worth the money charged. It is old, not well kept, dirty and noisy. The staff are unfriendly and were unwilling to lower their price when an inferior room with no toilet was substituted because our booked room had no hot water due to a malfunctioning hot water tank.

You can walk here from the station, even with considerable luggage but google maps directs you up a flight of stairs, that you can avoid. 2nd floor is served by a tiny elevator, in a mixed use building of apartments and offices. I had traveled overnight, without sleep, and Desperately needed sleep. They upgraded me to a big spacious triple room with high ceilings and a shower, sink in the room and with toilet down the hall. I had booked a 40 euro economy single, so the upgrade was considerable. There is construction nearby but nothing that kept me from a daytime nap. The mattress was comfortable, as was the pillow that earlier reviews criticized. In fact, it was a big squishy down pillow. So perhaps the hotel was freshened up recently. For an experienced traveler, tired of a sea of ikea furniture, I’d say that these old hotels are getting harder to find. The rooms feel like old Berlin, simple, functional, with original wood floors, and some plaster details on the ceiling. The restaurant Neumann’s continues the vein of slipping back in time.

After travelling 18 countries, this is the worst hotel I would say. This hotel doesn’t deserve even 1 star. They totally cheated on us. Their is no real room photo shown when you will see their rooms. Instead they show fake photos of their rooms. The room we stayed was totally damp, the room had bad smell. I am allergic so I got sick because of the damp walls. Their bed is so hard that I had pain all over my body when I woke up in the morning. They don’t have any storage so they piled up their toilet tissue and other stuffs in the hallway! It’s really surprising that when I wanted to pay them, they were looking for cash instead of card payments. This is the first time that ever happened with me that one hotel is looking for cash in the heart of Europe! I didn’t fine one good point of them. Sorry so say but I really don’t think this hotel deserve even one star

I was expecting something worst after reading all comments. But it is ok, not the cleanest one, but I would say it is clean. Wifi also seems to work correctly now. At least in my case didn't have any issue. Staff also was quite nice to me (that's true I live in Paris, everone is nicer than parisian but they were nice, really). Moreover they let me put the bike inside the hotel during the night. However, decoration needs to be refreshed and maybe white wall paint would be less risky and cheaper than strange color combinations. The location also is very handy. It is close to the train station and the neighborhood seems safe during night. There also two restaurants right beside the hotel, but no idea how they are.

Really bad! We are currently in the hotel, it is 7:50 a.m. and I have been awake since about 3 a.m.... the whole house is noisy and very loud from the street. The beds - terrible, it squeaks with every movement, the bed linen has holes in it and still has hair from the previous guest... The bathroom - unreasonable, far too small, the shower full of mold and limescale as far as you can see... The furnishings - unkempt and shabby, cobwebs, crooked lamps (that don't work), the armchairs are dusty and full of crumbs in the cracks... I feel like I'm in a flophouse that was found at 2 a.m. as a shelter in the deepest hinterland and out of necessity... For me it's nothing more than a completely shabby mechanic's shop... Further up the cross street (approx. 5-7 minutes walk) there is a Motel One... definitely the better choice.

Hotel booked by me for a Ukranian family fleeing to U.K. Turns out hotel is Russian owned and run and they made life for my family a terrible experience. They should have charged my credit card in advance but failed to do so and demanded cash. They would not speak English to them or to me when I rang three times from the U.K. They promised via booking.com website to provide packed lunches but did not do so as they don’t have any catering facilities. Boycott this hotel please

The pillows were an absolute shambles. They lacked even a modicum of comfort. By night two it became apparent that those residing in room 4.3 would be having a party 24/7... NOT OKAY! To my shock and horror we were also rudely awoken by a babbling young Asian man at roughly 3am for two nights running. However, I will say that staying at the 'Central Inn' provided a sense of freedom you don't get with other holidays.

The location is well located. The entrance to the hotel is well hidden. The lady at reception withheld her host qualities. The walls in the room are paper thin; so you don't feel lonely.

A still cheap hotel for a short stay. The beds are rickety, but ok. The blankets extremely thin. Otherwise ok clean, good location. Tram is in front of the door, bus too. Beautiful old building.

We were only in the hotel for two days. The room is clean and tidy and there is an actual bathroom, small kitchen and refrigerator. That's great, but not a microwave. The bed is comfortable. There is internet in the room, but internet only works for a short time, and no more, like limit. It's bad.

The rooms were clean. The staff brought new towels and took away the trash that was in the room. The location was great, there was a direct bus and train connection to the main train station and the city, the trains ran often and on time. There was a penny opposite and a small restaurant downstairs at the entrance where you could have brunch. I would go there again. Prices were great too.

It should be clear to everyone that you can't get luxury accommodation in the middle of Berlin for €55. For the price it was ok, it was clean, there was hot water, it didn't smell bad, the bed was comfortable, the hairdryer worked. Unfortunately there is no desk and it is quite noisy, which is probably not surprising given the location. So bring earplugs.

The hotel pleasantly surprised me, unfortunately there is no parking in front of the hotel. It's just paid. The hotel rooms are clean and spacious, close to Berlin's attractions. I can recommend the hotel if you take the train to Berlin, the main station is very close. The price is also ok.

It was ok, the rooms are quite clean and so are the bathrooms, quite a few plug sockets seemed to be out of order and hanging of the wall and the wifi did not work at all. Although it doesn’t bother me much, décor definitely needs to be redone as all the rooms looks very outdated. The location is great, 10 mins walk from the central station and provided great travel links to the rest of the city. Overall it does the job for a few nights, but i would not want to stay longer than that.

the only thing nice about this place is it's location in a walking distance to your getaway stop: the central train station. everything else was terrible. breakfast is available only after 10 am, it is completely overpriced and neglected piece of building. the photos on their website are probably from the first payed photoshoot when the hotel was opened because now when you enter the squeaking interior, it gives off more spooky than lovely atmosphere.

The rooms are small, outdated, in need of renovation and in my case unfortunately not clean (strange hair in the bathroom). The walls and doors are thin, you can hear everything in the hallway and from the adjoining rooms and the courtyard, which didn't contribute to a restful sleep on the youth hostel-like bed construction. There is no breakfast before ten and only in a café below the hotel. The elevator is broken and forces you to climb with luggage to the second floor (or higher, depending on which floor of the room you get). There are no parking facilities associated with the hotel. The central location is the only positive thing I can say. But here, too, the journey is nicer just 300m in any direction.

It's very good, it's very quiet, the room has very good employees, they answer anything you want very respectfully, I was satisfied 👍

The room itself was very bog-standard. Pillows dreadful, one pillow per person and they are large, flat and sink. Our shower became easily clogged up after a few minutes of showering, cheap and nasty shower head which can't stay still. When our buzzer had rung to let someone in on our floor, our button to allow access wouldn't work meaning we'd need to walk over to let someone in. Some of the sockets didn't work for our electronics. The whole place clearly needs a look in.

Where. Do. I. BEGIN! Constant partying from a group of individuals in the room below and next to us, couldn't keep the noise down in the evenings, and they didn't get told to keep it down from staff. Pillows were extremely uncomfortable, were there for decoration in my opinion, could not position my head on them comfortably which has now led to neck strains upon my return to the UK. As for bedding, not sure they were washed, left me and my fellow travelers with spots and rashes. Lime scooters were always situated outside the accommodation however, every cloud eh?

As others have said, decor in need of some rejuvenation. No frills. However, very clean, housekeeping came everyday. Bed comfy, shower hot. Very handy for transport links. Overall, a perfectly fine place to sleep if visiting Berlin, but don’t expect any bells and whistles.

Nice budget hotel. Have eateries and a grocery stores nearby, very much accessible to the central station.

Maybe it's not the same place as you see on their website, but it's still way better than in comments you see. Perfect location, great breakfast bar and pizzeria, many shops in the area, you can only walk from there - no need to use strange German public transportation.

If you traveling by yourself is more than enough, located in a good position less then a km from Berlin Central Station, the only flaw was that in my room was only one electric socket, the lights in the bathroom were to low,and i didn't have water boiler for coffee like I had in London, the rooms were pretty much identical, but for this price is still very convenient.

Close enough to the train station. Tram or bus will save the 10 min walk. However, lack of English is a problem and reception is on the second floor.

The pictures on the homepage are misleading and they are absolutely not true - there was always knocking on the doors at night and a lot of things were stolen. Breakfast is only available in the bar next door where you have to pay extra - again, hygienic above all - there were pieces floating in the milk and the eggs were already gray. The windows were broken and the balcony door didn't close - there was mold in the shower and the water was always dripping - the whole room was dusty and there was hair in the bed. - During the night the rooms were broken into and perfumes were stolen and shower gel was stolen.

My hotel experience was fantastic! The staff was friendly, and check-in was smooth. The room was clean, comfortable, and had all the necessary amenities. The hotel's facilities were impressive, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Overall, I had a memorable and enjoyable stay. Highly recommended!
