This hotel greatly overestimates itself as a high end hotel, when in fact there's lightbulbs missing in the rooms and chipped paint/ peeling sealant on the walls. The light switch on the wall fell off in our hand... If you book the lowest rate room too (177 euros per night) the check-in staff make you feel stupid and outwardly laugh at you when their colleague gave the wrong information in the first place. A lovely welcome, it was not, we were humiliated. The receptionist never even said hello or smiled when we arrived so that should've been the first sign. The kitchen staff were brilliant though, and so was the breakfast. We didn't stay in the bar for drinks but it seemed bustling. The room was small but nicely decorated. There's tons of mirrors everywhere, underfloor heating in the bathroom and nice shampoo/conditioners. We didn't use the mini-bar but on offer was the usual drinks and snacks, and a vibrator or silky handcuffs. They also had complimentary condoms and a random fake tattoo. The bed was very comfy and I loved the velvet curtains. They have a tablet for information and menu etc., and a coffee machine. Ring for milk as it isn't provided but itwas no bother to get. Overall it was ok for the night but it didn't meet my expectations based on how it sells itself and it really does have a high opinion of itself.

The rooms are beautiful, but the whole weekend there is has been a dj playing with extremely loud music. The bass of the music keeps us awake. We booked one of the more expensive rooms and are very disappointed. When we call reception they say that we are not the first to complain about this… but then why not loose the DJ to keep your hotel guest happy. I would never recommend this place as it to overpriced considering this and we feel a bit mocked off. It is unacceptable to charge almost 400 euro per night and then keep your guest awake with music.

Thank you very much for a very disappointing night. I payd 350 Euros for a night to get to know that there is no place for me neither in the restaurant nor in the bar. I am so dissapointed by not being able to get a drink in a bar after paying 350 because "we are full". Can not recommend for a romantic night. Personnel was rude.

The building as a whole and rooms are stunning. The only downside, which is quite major for me, is that there is a bar within the hotel that plays loud music until 2:30 or 3:00 AM. We were two floors above and still found the noise quite bothersome and struggled to sleep well. Still a great place if you are the type of person who wouldn't mind the noise.

Lovely rooms. Very romantic, perfect for couples. They forgot to clean our room which was a bit of a disappointment. The location is not ideal for tourists, it’s about 20-30 minutes with a taxi to most attractions. However, this is also reflected in the price level; it’s an affordable hotel for what you get. Very nice bar. Breakfast was great.

We read the reviews but still decided to book, as the rooms looked cool and some of the negative comments seemed circumstantial. We booked and paid directly via Expedia. When we arrived we noticed on the paperwork that we were given a classic room and not the superior room we booked/paid for. I queried this and the very dismissive person behind the front desk informed us that the hotel was overbooked and so we had been downgraded. Firstly, he didn’t tell us that, I had to point it out (which felt sneaky) and secondly, we were offered nothing by way of compensation, the person on the front desk told us to come down to ask for a partial refund in the morning. Perhaps an offer of a voucher for the restaurant or for drinks would have been something, especially as they knew we had been downgraded. It felt like an avoidable conflict that they really weren’t interested in! During our stay we spoke to a different person every day at the front desk, so had to rehash the whole story and were fobbed off each day, being advised they would do something but not today. (For context, we were offered breakfast on one of the days, but this didn’t feel like compensation enough and we were heading out for a reservation.) The one seemingly helpful front desk person told us they could definitely do something at check out, but was never seen again, despite saying they were working all of that day! When we went to check out, we were served by 2 new staff members who (after having to re-explain everything) advised that all they could do was a free upgrade next time we stayed. Unfortunately we wouldn’t go back. Interestingly, they also asked whether we were informed of the downgrade during check in (which we weren’t), which leads me to think this is a regular occurrence! I have never been downgraded in any hotel before!! We did get a good deal on Expedia for the room we booked (equal to the hotels ‘classic’ room price), but we could have booked the classic room we received for over 100 euros cheaper on Expedia, had we chosen that option instead of the superior room we booked! It definitely feels like a busy restaurant/bar with a hotel ‘add on’, the hotel is definitely not the priority! There are too many staff to be able to provide the hotel with any kind of consistency, although only ever 1 or 2 people serving the hotel, so it is really poor service and impossible to speak to anyone without going down and waiting at the desk! The rooms were fine, nothing amazing, but clean enough. We were given a room right above the glass bottle recycling bin, which was used at around 6am to empty all the glass bottles and was very loud, waking us up! The classic room we received only had 2 coat hangers (not even a hook for coats), which meant living out of our suitcases for the time we were there! They definitely need to consider more hanging/storage space - this wasn’t even their smallest room! Location was pretty good as right outside an underground station, but not a lot around the hotel! I really wouldn’t recommend.

The rooms are nice. The staff is utterly unprofessional. For check in I wasn't greeted (no "hello", no "welcome", just a "hier ist was zum ausfĂźllen" while they handed me the registration form. I had to speak to 3 different receptionists, alternating in German and English, them seemingly not understanding each other correctly. They all behaved like I caused them inconvenience ... fair but it's kind of their job to check me in isn't it? No explanations about breakfast or anything else. No upgrade was offered despite titanium elite status. Late checkout was only granted till 1pm even though Titanium status guarantees 4pm (they said it's depending on availability but that's simply not what the Marriott Bonvoy Website says). That said, let me repeat, rooms were nice.

Was such a cool experience! The bar and restaurant had a really cool look. The room itself was a little small, but the style was beautiful with a chandelier hanging above the bottom of the bed. Breakfast in bed is also a must at this hotel.

I booked two nights here as a cheeky treat for my wedding anniversary and I am sorely disappointed. When we called to book the room we were not informed that there was construction on the building next door. Work began there at six this morning, and has not stopped all day. There’s scaffolding directly next to our balcony, I could reach out and take a piece if I liked, and there have been drilling and hammering sounds all day, making our room impossible to enjoy, which was the entire point of our choice to stay here. But at least it’s a well appointed and romantic room, right? Not really. For €400 for two nights I’d at least expect a room without poorly executed DIY patch jobs on the floor and wall, chipped furniture and a threadbare rug. I really feel like I was given their worst room of this size, that’s how bad it is. On top of everything, the velvet walls give off a dusty, sweaty odor. I will not be booking here again.

Very cute hotel, part of Marriott Bonvey, friendly staff, lift always stuck on the third floor, when I asked that is not working, the receptionist didn’t bother to go up and check it! She didn’t care I had to use the stairs to go up the 5th floor!! Which was very rude of her! Other than that, room is very comfortable , sexy atmosphere, the restaurant/ bar is excellent. Many restaurants around to try.

Great hotel. Stayed for two nights in one of the smaller queen sized bedrooms and it was lovely. The soaps are really nice lol, and things like the heated bathroom tile, Marshall amps Bluetooth speaker, chandelier, etc. were a nice touch. A little cheesy with the promiscuity element of everything but it passes. The bar downstairs also had great cocktails, and the surrounding neighborhood has some great restaurant choices (I recommend Ebert) My girlfriend worked remotely here during the afternoons/evenings and found the lobby area next to reception to have good seating and excellent wifi. One weird little complaint was the door tags say “enter if you dare”, which is a little confusing to me because that’s the opposite of what the door tag usually means, at least in the US where it means “do not enter”. A fun fact: the elevator is over 100 years old, the original from when the building was built!

The room and the entire building were just stunning and the staff at the reception was very friendly. However, despite really loving the concept and design of the hotel, we had several smaller issues as well. For example, neither the Apple TV nor the Nespresso machine were working (actually the whole plug seemed to not be working and falling out of the wall) - but no biggie, we perfectly made it without it. What was more bothersome was that our room was not cleaned properly (there were old blueberries on the floor) and especially that the morning of the check-out the cleaning staff knocked and immediately opened the door before we had a chance to respond, which felt pretty intrusive given the fact my partner was taking a bath right across the door. Maybe partially our fault for not locking the door, but anyway would have appreciated a heads-up before opening, or even just waiting until after the checkout to clean when it's the day of departure.

Excellent hotel! The service is super friendly and superb. Rooms are beautifully decorated and quiet. The bar is absolutely must experience! The cocktails are amazing and perfectly made. We ate only breakfast at the restaurant, which was nothing special though. Also the decoration of the restaurant was lacking the atmosphere what the bar and the hotel have. Highly recommend specially, if you are looking for something to spice up your visit in Berlin.

DO NOT STAY HERE! Me and my 7 month pregnant wife decided to have a weekend escape in Berlin. It was a mistake to come here. The hotel has a bar that clearly is the priority, the music was banging on our 2nd floor room. We repeatedly call reception for them to lower the music and they said "We have a party, we can't lower the music". When checking in, we highlighted that we would need a quite a room and asked if the bar would be loud. They said not an issue at all. We ended up checking out and leaving the hotel at 1am. If you don't mind not having any sleep, come here! If not stay away!

A unique hotel with fun theme, great staff, and amazing location! It is right in front of U7 station. They don't have a buffet breakfast, only menu-based. But food quality was good. The staffs were professional, politely, and nice. The rooms are not that big, but the other aspects of the hotel covers it. The interior design of the hotel & its rooms gives off luxurious vibes.

The hotel concept is quite nice. A seductive old school environment for lovers to enjoy themselves. That being said, the service and the details are quite disappointing. It started with the lady who was working in reception on Thursday 05.08 around midday. All in all she was snarky but not rude which I can take. What I cannot take through is the incompetence. You cannot book money from my credit card without telling me. What happened is that she said that she’ll book a certain amount of money from the card in case we use the minibar which was completely fine. What she didn’t say is that shes going to book four times the amount she told me for the stay although everything was paid online. You just can’t do that! The attitude I can deal with, just be good at what you do. Other than that, the bed wasn’t comfortable at all. I had to physically change my sleeping position so I avoid the whole in the mattress to be able to sleep. In general it’s okish: Would I recommend it to friends? Probably not Would I recommend it to friends if the staff have proper training and coordination? Yes I would.

I come regularly to Berlin for work and it was one of the best hotel stays I ever had! Amazing client service from the receptionists and from the waiters for breakfast! The hotel decor is beautiful and is perfectly placed in a great area. Breakfast was delicious and I will come back for my future stays.

Fabulous and flawless hotel in every way. The staff are all lovely and so happy and helpful, the rooms are beautifully-designed and super comfortable, and the Golden Phoenix restaurant is phenomenal (possibly the most delicious food in the world), as is its bar. Location is quiet and convenient - right across from the U-Bahn. We can’t recommend Provocateur highly enough. Thank you to everyone for a perfect stay!

The hotel was nice, however it seems that reception tried to cheat with my debit card. When I checked in on 08.12, the receptionist asked me for details of my debit card, for safety deposit. This was not something very unusual, as I experience this in other hotels too. But on 09.12.23 at 04:47, when I was deeply sleeping, there was an attempt to execute a transaction of 59,20 EUR from my card (*2805), in the name of Provocateur Hotel. Good, that I am broke and did not have enough money, so the transaction was declined. I didn’t use the bar or any amenities during my stay, as I was for business in Berlin. Noticed this just today, therefore too late to call the police or mess with the management. Will block the hotel, and unfortunately - will avoid it for stays in the future, as the trust is lost.

Kommen gerne wieder ;)

A star because I can't give zero ... unfriendly and rude and incompetent staff. Staff refuses with check in because it was too late night. Couldn't get my money back. Booking is non-refundable. Poor service and terrible!!!

My husband booked a night in the deluxe suite as a surprise. What a stunning place. The whole hotel has amazing decor and sexy vibe. We had a reservation (booked weel in advance) for the Restaurant and bar and the food and service were top notch. We were absolutely delighted. The whole experience ended in a perfect way with the delicious breakfast and the beautiful smile and attention to detail from our waitress Toto.

It is first time ever I write a review for a hotel. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL ! IT IS TRAGEDY !!!! You sleep in the DISCO on regular week day ! Not even a weekend ! It is really tragedy not a hotel ! And sound isolation is soooo poor that you hear you neighbour walking, going to wc, taking a shower, talking . So which such isolation seriously you make a disco downstairs till morning??? I have called many times, which brought that the turned off the vibration that you have in your room from the sound ! But ended up that the noise was turned off, when the party finished! no sleep all night ! And it seems from other reviews they do not care much about that. I was started to doubt for what purpose in general the hotel is used.. maybe the rooms are just to have extra fun after party. I also heard so many shouts during the night from men. Terrible. The hotel itself with interior is worn off, they tried to make some style, but too many cheap details that makes it look poor. At least they could take care to clean the rooms. But no all the corners are soooo dirty ! And not to mention the service which is absolute tragedy too !!! I do not know what criteria it is , but it seems they take people from McDonalds, this level of service would be acceptable here, but not in a hotel.

This is a place you come to for the experience. Know what you book and you'll be very satisfied. We booked a Junior-Suite (De Luxe) and it was an incredible experience. Yes, the rooms could possible be quieter but we didn't have any negative experience with the sound. Again, if you expect a family accommodation you're probably at the wrong location but if you inform yourself of what kind of hotel this is, you're in for a great experience.

Very good experience! Hotel staff were very welcoming and the hotel is very well presented. Definitely a setting if you’re planning to have a romantic evening. The restaurant and bar paring are a true destination if you’re visiting Berlin - or need a good spot for a date.

I had high expectations and I think they lived up to it, both room and bar. I didn't try the restaurant. I stayed in the Bellevue room which was amazing. Loved having a balcony and the shower was so nice. But where to hang to towels? And we never got the Marshall speaker to work. Other than that, I think it's one of the best hotels been in. Well recommended! Yes, one more thing! Staff have to be better in speaking English. Some unnecessary misunderstanding during check out and payment.
