Such a cute place! Service is super friendly and accommodating. The menu is not too big, but nothing is missing. They have gluten free bread and I have to admit it's the best GF bread I had at a breakfast-place so far. The food is delicious - fruits and veggies taste fresh, portions are perfect. Prices are okay too. You might have to wait a little bit for a spot but it doesn't take too long normally. Only some of our poached eggs have been too hard. I highly recommend to stop by for a Sunday brunch.

I love Silo!! :D Honestly, the only problem is that everyone does, so if you go - put you name down at the front and then be prepared to stroll the markets at boxi for about an hour. It is worth the wait tough! Great coffee, very friendly staff <3 I always take the bowl, my friend always the silo - great place to brunch

This place is amazing with good vibes. Their coffee was amazing. I had their breakfast bowl with oodles of peanut butter and it was delicious. The outside seating area is nice. It's a good street as well but then again this is generally a good neighborhood.

This place is a little taste of Melbourne (Australia) right in the heart of Berlin. The eggs are cooked to perfection and if you ask politely they can make the bacon extra crispy (yum). Everyone here speaks fluent English and you can pay by credit card (something that's not always possible in other Berlin cafes). You know a place is good when you visit it multiple times and this is exactly what we did (twice in 3 days). I had the "Silo" both times. The coffee is also Melbourne grade - so excellent.

This place merits a second chance for a full-five-star review. I had the baked pancakes which was visually gorgeous but fell flat in flavor combo despite ah so many flavors. I will certainly go back to try the savory items and pass a second judgement. The place is very popular so expect a wait during busy hours. Staff are lovely and you can pay either in cash or with card.

One of the best breakfast I’ve ever had. Food was really delicious and coffee as well!! And what a great surprise, we could pay with car! (most of the places in Berlin accept only cash in 21st century..) so overall amazing experience and you should definitely visit!

Had a very nice brunch! Nice service as well! Do make sure that you come a bit earlier to get on the waiting list when it's busier! But can tell you that it is worth the wait.

The cafe is Australian owned so that all but guarantees great food and coffee. I went there for three breakfasts and they were all great. I don’t drink coffee but there were lots of people buying take away coffee so I presume the coffee was good. There was always a line of people when I went but it’s efficiently managed by giving your name to the host who tells you an expected time for a table. Longest I had to wait was 15 minutes.

Really nice place and extremely friendly staff! The food is tasty and there are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options! Hint: try to be there earlier since it tends to get full pretty fast and the waiting time could be up to 30-45 mins towards noon. You can also pay with a card 👍🏻

Great place to have breakfast at. They are very attentive to your dietary restrictions. So it is a safe place to eat at if you have any. They also bring water to each table. We are happy to come again and recommend this place to others.

Without any exaggeration, it is the best brunch I ever tried in Berlin! We took the Silo and Silo Veggie and were absolutely mind blowing 🤤 Also the ginger tea was an amazing surprise- really tasty and fresh! French toast could have more maple syrup. Highly recommended!

I loved the brunch. The bacon and egg toast was delicious, and the avocado sauce added an incredible touch. Moreover, the latte was simply delightful. The ambiance and service also contributed to a very enjoyable experience. I would definitely recommend it!

My favorite breakfast place in Friedrichshain. They have delicious meals (veggie and vegan options as well) and these guys know about good coffee! You can also buy Fjord coffee there and, if needed, they’ll grind it up for you! Sometimes their fame in the Kiez and among tourists leads to longer waiting times (especially on the weekends) but it’s always worth the wait!

"The must" in Friedrischhain for speciality coffee (Fjord?) and brunch lovers. My long time favorite, they simply get the flat white just right (strong but balanced, perfect microfoam + latte art). The menu changes every once in a while, bringing new exciting plates.

I rarely post reviews. A business has to be almost perfect for me to want to write a review. Silo is our absolute favorite brunch place. The menu might be small but it is mighty. We always say that it is better for a restaurant to offer a small menu but execute the dishes to perfection. The brisket sandwich and the mushrooms on toast are our faves thus far. The butter croissants is very tasty and fluffy. If you ask, they are super nice in giving you a strawberry jam/coulis that goes real well with it. Our drink of choice is the filtered coffee and the orange juice. We are addicted to this place.

Been there once and tried the poached eggs with bacon. It was tasty ? Unfortunately it is always crowded and couldn’t visit again. Won’t wait 40 minutes to be seated. At the end, it’s an egg sandwich. Visited again after 2 years and tried the baked pancakes ? omg ? it’s great!!!

They serve one of the best brunches I have ever had. The food is incredible and they make this amazing strawberry prosecco. So, make sure when you go you get the "Silo Spritz", you won't regret it. The staff is very nice and welcoming and the place has a really nice atmosphere. It can be a bit crowded, but that's because it's a really great place. In terms of prices, I think everything is reasonably priced, you can pay either cash or card. Totally recommend it!

We very nearly didn't make it to Silo. All of the extremely positive reviews and its placing on multiple 'best of' lists in Berlin made us think that perhaps it was just the product of great advertising. I am so glad we gave it a go. Silo absolutely earn themselves their great reputation. We opted for the pancakes and the salmon bagel. The food was perfect. Presentation was beautiful and more importantly, every single ingredient that made it to the plate was well matched and of flavour. The coffee was of high quality, to be expected from one of Berlin's most hyped coffee shops. The location lent itself well to a stroll around the market and we enjoyed sitting outside in the brisk air comforted by hot drinks. Somehow, it got better. The service was and is impeccable. Nothing bitters a coffee like unhappy and rude staff; and it's safe to say that was some smooth drinking coffee. We'd like to say a big thanks to our server (who's name we have forgotten, sorry!), for kindly writing us a list of other great Berlin third wave coffee spots. You really helped make our day. We've kept the list for our inevitable return. If you're considering Silo, do it. Wait in line if you have too, we promise it will be worth it!

One of the best places to have breakfast and coffe. Poshed eggs on toast as a base and than you can upgrade the dish yourself like: spicy sausage, mushrooms, bacon and such. Oven baked pancake with cream and berries is a must and super delicious. Portions are big and great for sharing. Staff is very friendly and super helpfull. Easy five star.

Im not lying when I say that this place put tears out of my eyes. I got very emotional because it reminds me of my hometown. The cafe is amazing, best flat white I’ve ever drink, I will never forget. Food is very good as well, they are regularly very busy, a lots of berliners and tourist goes here to drink their coffee. For me is a must visit in Berlin, just go with a little time and patience, you will have an awesome experience. Thank you Silo!

Nice spot to have a brunch. It's quite an institution in Berlin. However, there's always a pretty long queue so either get there early or be prepared to wait. I've visited them a couple of time and always enjoyed their food. I would personally recommend to visit in summer so you won't have to freeze outside while waiting. Also even though the food is delicious remember that there are plenty other places to brunch in the city.

During our week in Berlin we visited this place 3 times, that’s how good Silo is! Staff is very lovely, coffee is great and avo on toast isn’t your basic avo on toast. With this only vegan option on their brunch menu I was still fully satisfied and didn’t miss a thing. Definitely coming back on my next trips to Berlin

4 out of 5 ain’t bad and that’s exactly how I felt after leaving. Iced latte was great but as the only iced coffee on the menu I felt a little let down. Breakfast itself was a mixed affair. Positives were the bacon and perfectly poached eggs with the highlight being the home made ketchup, really really good! Potatoes over cooked, sausages very oily (not in pic) and the second dish of smashed avacado was overpriced considering it does not come with a egg by default. All in all it’s a strong 4 with great atmosphere and really pleasant staff!

For a long time we wanted to try this coffee place, as it is on the top list to visit in Berlin. It is very popular, the waiting line on weekends is around 1 - 1,5 hours, plan the time for that, also the order will take a while to be ready. A truffle mushroom and egg on toast was very tasty. The other tost with avocado was also good, but quite small.

There are so many things I like about this place; their food is very consistent and very tasty (highly recommend their mushroom egg Benedict!), the staff is super friendly, and the ambiance is nice. The problem is that sometimes one has to wait a while for the food (because it’s usually very busy) and I think the quantity is not too generous (maybe adding side salads could make a difference?). Overall a great place for brunch!

Delicious coffee, yummy food. The staff are also lovely. An Australian cafe in Berlin. Make sure you go early on weekends as it can get very busy to get a table. But you can sit outside or on the community table/chair and order a drink if there is space as you wait for a proper table.

1 word to sum it up: boring. We heard that Silo Coffee is one of the breakfast places in Friedrichshain. We waited a bit and were looking forward to the food. The menu has a few options. With the eggs we missed the option of adding spinach, salmon or broccoli. We had to ask to get water. The cappuccino was ok, nothing special. The granular had different fruits in it but also nothing special. My wife’s poached eggs were with just some salad on the side. The dressing was sweet and there was sugar on top of the eggs. So we think there are not that many options on the menu and the options to pick are nothing special. Also the coffee or soft drinks options are not special. The staff seems busy but also no amazing service. The portions are not big but the price for it is fair.

Overrated and too expensive for Berlin standards and for what you get. Very sweet granola (from the supermarket?), 1 slice of bread with an egg or sandwich dish, weird tasting and maybe not so fresh orange juice

(Translated by Google) The food is delicious, but for my taste it is more appearance than reality, looks really good, but the taste is rather boring unfortunately and the pancakes are too sweet in my opinion. There was a wait because it's popular and packed, so service can be slow (getting the bill, forgetting to key in our pancake order) but service are friendly, earnest and they try. Pancake was decent, but pricey for the portion. The 5 stars are mostly for the coffee. The iced latte was pretty damn good, very well rounded and smooth. Oh and for the stereotypical Berlin hipster vibe.

The food is good. Just watch out that for the make your own toast, the menu is misleading. “Bacon, sausage €3.5” This means each item is €3.5, rather than both. I ordered quite a few extras thinking they are priced per list item, and ended up with a very high bill. I have never gone out of my way to leave a less than stellar review, but I thought this might help the store want to improve as well as catch your attention.

Aussie by name. Aussie by reputation. This cafe is typical of the “new age” breakfast and coffee culture that is the rave in Australia. And like any well known breakfast place Down Under Silo is always bustling with customers on the weekend and even more if the weather is nice. I was lucky I didn’t have to wait more than 5 minutes to get a seat. Coffee is great - food is wonderful. Couldn’t ask for more in Berlin.

Coffee was great. Ordered the pulled Beef which was absolutely revolting. My friend tried a bite of it too and we both ended up nauseous in the evening

Silo is a brunch institution. They have great options on their menu and all the food is really high quality. They have some of the best coffee in Berlin. It reminds me of the best NZ/Australian coffee and brunches. I would highly recommend the brisket sandwich or the mushrooms. They are extremely professional regarding the Corona measures too. The staff are always wearing masks, they have an easy to use registration system and disinfectant available.

Coffee was so so.. the beef brisket sandwich was out of this world.. better than the ones in New York!

(Translated by Google) Delicious, already arranged, nice ambience, but mega expensive, hardly any seats, small portions, a bit of a hipster shop. (Original) Lecker, schon angerichtet, nettes Ambiente, dafür mega teuer, kaum Plätze, kleine Portionen, ein bisschen Hipsterladen.

Great experience. Food tastes amazing. So all the praise and definitely recommended. Staff are friendly and attentive. Plus they all speak great English. But it takes quite a while for the food to arrive on the table and there's usually a waiting period to get a table. Advice: don't go there when you're extremely hungry.

The breakfast is very tasty. Friendly staff and fast service. The place looks great, and has even outdoor seating on a nice street. Prices are a bit high but reasonable. Coffee is fine, at least strong enough, and they even have proper oat milk.

It’s a wonderful place for a perfect breakfast in the heart of Friedrichshain. I am always going when having friends over and we want to have a wonderful start in the day. I like the super friendly staff and the food. Be there on time or you will have to wait or get a place on the waiting list. It’s really organized and the food is coming on time. I am fully satisfied every time. Thank you guys!

I decided on a Sunny Sunday Morning to explore a new place in town. I googled one of the best breakfasts in Berlin and Silo was one of them. I didn't think twice and with my partner, we gave this place a try. We waited for about an hour until we could actually sit at the table and order. On Sundays, I heard that it is always crowded! But when the food came, all was forgotten. I ordered the Silo toast with mushrooms and 2 poached eggs. I expected the yolks to be more soft inside, but otherwise everything was so delicious and fulfilling. The bread was amaaazing and the guacamole perfectly seasoned. Tbh, there is place for improvement and that's by adding some salad leaves or some tomatoes, to add some freshness to it! Good job Silo team! Everyone there was respectful, fun and understanding! I loved t he energy 🥰 excited to come back again!

The baked pancakes were very yummy! They had an interesting Combination of flavors that they have added to it that made it unique! The cappuccino was well done and high quality!

Home away from home! I am so grateful that I am able to celebrate two milestones in this Special Café today. Food was delicious and amazing - so fresh. Berlin market is flooded with cafes / restaurants but good quality food is a nice thing to come across some time is a rare find :) Finally had some cooked breakfast after 60 days - same as what I would have in Australia . My tummy is full and my heart is happy.

Absolutely delicious, amazing service and extremely loving and kind host Santiago. I’ve been in several brunch places in Berlin and can say that this is one of the very best ones. Totally recommend. Besides, coming from Colombia, I can also say that the the coffee is of very good quality and taste.

Friendly atmosphere, nice coffee. But this place is quite popular, so be ready to wait to get a table inside. But u won’t regret, personal there is very agreeable. Enjoy;)

Amazing brunch place. It’s in a nice area and the food is fresh and the staff is friendly. Big portions and great food. Fresh green smoothie, good coffee and crisp croissant!

One of my new favourite places for brunch 😍 The poached eggs were perfect and there is a variety of add ons to build your perfect plate. I recommend trying the green smoothie, which tasted surprisingly good (coming from a non-smoothie person). We had to wait 20 minutes to sit outside on a Sunday but definitely worth it!

Breakfast at Silo Coffee was wonderful and I highly recommend it. We arrived shortly after they opened and were able to get a table inside. We read reviews that the wait times can be long but we were lucky. The place was buzzing, lots of people; staff were quick but friendly. The OJ tasted freshly squeezed, breakfast bowl was one of the best I’ve ever had and the truffle mushroom & egg on toast was also delicious. Overall we really enjoyed the food, service was excellent and we’d be happy to visit again!

I can highly recommend this cafe!! I loved everything about it. Service, interior, music, atmosphere and of course the food. Honestly, I have never eaten pancakes this fluffy and yummy. Thank you so much for an attentive service and amazing food. Will come back 💖🌻

There is always a huge line here! And when you look at others’ food, you are filled with anticipation because it looks amazing!! They managed to get me in without a long wait. I had a shared table. I ended up ordering then pancakes! Now this is the case where the food looks much better than taste. Unfortunately the banana was stale and not fresh. The pancake itself was quite good but not the fruits. The cappuccino was ok. Perhaps next time I should try the avocado toast. That might be better! Overall still an excellent experience!

Really tasty breakfast, coffee is superb and the fresh orange juice hit the spot after the night before. It’s a cool trendy hipster place, the staff all seem really cool and are on point in terms of service. Had the eggs in a bowl with some beans are they delicious. Adding the chef’s recommendation was also a good idea to add further depth to the dish. Would happily go back again for more

My “best bruch in berlin” google sesrch led me to Silo Coffee. And I’m glad it did! Even though there was a long line of people waiting to get a table, it was worth every single minute of waiting! The food was absolutely delicious, the service was very well organized and really kind. This ti had pancakes and they were amazing. One day I’m definitely returning to try “The Silo”!

Great place for breakfast and brunch. The waiting line is usually around 20-30min., but it’s worth it. Small menu, nice dishes. The cheesecake was among the best ones in Berlin!

We came to try the pancake, but unfortunately, the menu has been changed, so we tried the cinnamon Bagel, and it was below average. The coffee was so good 👍🏻

  • 5/5 Johannes E. 9 months ago on Google
Super delicious coffee! And Breakfast is super good. Sometimes you have to wait a bit for a place to sit but for me it’s worth waiting. Bread was good, cross and poached eggs in a perfect shape. Mushrooms for the truffle toast could be a bit more soft. Overall a good taste and I love this place to sit.

One of the most famous hipster places in Berlin. Which usually wouldn't be my cup of tea, but... Amazing!! Food was so tasty, prices very price performance good. They buy all their goods from local producers like Sausageman never sleeps, Brodowin, etc. Portion very substantial, of you are hungry you can wasily fill yourself. Stuff is so nice and I like how they recommend things w/o beeing pushy. We came on a bit rainy Sunday, so place for two was immediately available. Usually it is quite full, so make a reservation upfront. Or just stroll nice neighbourhood while waiting for table. We will come back!!

Hip, stylish, tasty! Most menu items are based on bread. I tried breakfast bowl, looked and tasted great. Wish portions were bigger tho. They accept credit card and have decaf coffee ❤️

A beloved café in the neighborhood, known for great coffee and long wait-lists for the weekend brunch. For me personally it didn't really match the hype. The food is fine but not great - a little too salty and the portions are surprisingly small. If I drank coffee I might add a star to the rating (based on what I hear about the quality) but as it stands I probably won't want to wait in line again for what is offered.

  • 5/5 Maritina L. 8 months ago on Google
I adore this place. The staff is very friendly, the food is super tasty and the coffee shop is in a very cool neighbourhood too. I totally recommend its brunch if you visit Berlin.

Amazing breakfast, the peanut butter in my yoghurt bowl was 10/10. The staff was very friendly. Went on a weekendday around 9AM without reservation. Glad we arrived a bit earlier, because soon it was packed!

There's a bit of a wait, but it's definitely worth it! The sourdough toast with mushrooms and poached eggs is beautiful and super tasty.

Ordered The Silo with a side of truffle mushrooms and salsiccia along with the brisket sandwich, and I'll order the exact same dishes next time. Aaand as a bonus, their chai doesn't look it but tastes pretty authentic!

  • 5/5 Nuria S. 5 months ago on Google
The food was delicious, as usual, and the staff is so kind I can't help but chitchat with them (which I shouldn't do as they're incredibly busy). If this is a favourite it's with very good reason.

I loved their breakfast choices and coffee so much so that I went there again and took the same breakfast. Waiters are friendly and there is a nice atmosphere. Breakfast is a bit on the pricey side but it's well worth it!
