Quality food and good professional service!

I had the cheese burger here and honestly it was not impressive. The fries also felt like the average frozen fries you buy from the supermarket.. However, I have to say the beef tartar was really good! Hence the 3 stars.

Das Blockhaus in Berlin war insgesamt eine gute Erfahrung, jedoch gab es ein paar Punkte, die meinen Besuch etwas beeinträchtigt haben. Zunächst einmal waren die Tische im Restaurant sehr niedrig, was dazu führte, dass ich nach dem Essen Rückenschmerzen hatte. Es wäre wünschenswert, wenn die Tische höher wären, um eine bequemere Sitzposition zu ermöglichen. Ein weiterer Punkt, der mir aufgefallen ist, war die Größe der Portionen. Im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants der Blockhaus-Kette waren die Portionen hier etwas kleiner. Das war etwas enttäuschend, da ich normalerweise von Blockhaus gewohnt bin, großzügige und sättigende Mahlzeiten zu bekommen. Trotzdem muss ich sagen, dass das Essen selbst sehr lecker war. Die Qualität der Speisen war gut und die Zubereitung war gelungen. Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war angenehm und das Personal war freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Bedienung war schnell und effizient, und ich fühlte mich gut betreut. Alles in allem war mein Besuch im Blockhaus in Berlin trotz der niedrigen Tische und kleineren Portionen eine positive Erfahrung. Das Essen war lecker und das Personal war freundlich. Ich würde jedoch empfehlen, vorher nachzufragen, ob es möglich ist, einen Tisch mit höherer Sitzposition zu bekommen, um Rückenschmerzen zu vermeiden.

Das Restaurant ist in einer sehr schönen Lage, das Essen kam schnell an den Tisch und der Mann vom Service war sehr freundlich. Leider war mir die Sour Cream war viel zu sauer-bitter ich konnte Sie leider nicht zu ende essen. Der Kartoffelgratin schmeckte gut aber leider auch viel zu klein für den Preis. Das Fleisch hatte viel zu wenig Fett dafür das es ein Rumpsteak war, nachwürzen mussten wir aufjedenfall sehr viel. Gibt aufjedenfall bessere Steakhäuser nichts desto trotz habt ihr 3 Sterne von mir verdient. Vielen Dank für eure Arbeit.

The quality of meat is premium, our waiter was providing friendly & efficient service. I’d recommend their Mr Rumpsteak, however beef tartar isn’t really authentic since the absence of the raw egg.

One star for today because I’m a usual customer there (1-2 times a week). But if I wanted to rate it according to my experience today I would’ve given it a zero or even lower. The waitress ( I will keep the name to myself) came and as I was ordering a bottle of wine, I asked if they have other kinds. Her answer was literally „ only what it says on the menu!“ but in German of course and in a very cold manner and without looking at me, so I asked her again and told her that is no way to answer a customer’s question, and that I’m expecting a yes or no answer. After that we ordered steaks and my brother asked her about which steak is medium and which is medium well (just incase he missed it, and it was a very honest question since 3 steak orders were the same cut), and her answer was „each will get what they ordered!“ so I asked her to not serve us and send someone else. Unfortunately he was as bad (to make a long story short). I ended up going to the manager and explaining everything to him, he was very professional, respectful and nice and he ended up serving us himself. I don’t know why the waitress and waiter acted the way they did, because we are foreigners? And some of us didn’t speak the language well? (Although we had a German friend there as well) It certainly seemed that way. Either way it was a bad experience overall. But the professional management succeeded in keeping me as a customer, as I actually love their food as well, but definitely not in this branch. If this happens again I will consider taking other measures.

Schrinkflation hat hier offensichtlich Einzug erhalten! Mitunter eines der besten Systemgastronomie Restaurants die es in Berlin gibt. Liegt womöglich an der anhaltenden Qualität und dem erwarteten Geschmack der gut ist. Das Ambiente ist aber auch sehr einladend obwohl es nach meinem empfinden 40 Jahre gleich ist. Das liegt nicht an Nostalgischen Gefühlen, sondern es ist tatsächlich gemütlich. Nach anfänglich steigenden Preisen der Hauptspeisen bis zu 40%, werden seit Monaten die Beilagen Portionen wesentlich kleiner. Bei meinem letzten Besuch gab es, im Vergleich zu vorher, nur einen halben Teller Pommes, ein klecks Spinat und nur ein etwa 5 cm kleines Knoblauchbrot. Leider war ich nicht amüsiert wo unsere Hauptspeise mit 35-38 € nicht günstig war. Langsam nähern sich die Preise an Raue oder das Entrecote in der Schützenstraße. Und hier erhalte ich keine Fertigprodukte, was mich im Block House bisher nicht störte.

Rather below average experience. The meat was a bit sour. I asked for medium- well done but it was quite rare in the middle and I left most of the meat. The waiter could have been a bit more friendly. No smile whatsoever. He gave us the menu in German knowing that we couldn't understand German. Another waiter came to give us the English version later. When it came to paying for the bill, I was about to pay but the first waiter was like 'is that what you are going to pay?' . So I was confused and I said the bill is what I'll be paying. But he asked me again. Then I understood that he wanted me to pay a tip. So I asked how much tip? He said that I can pay whatever. So I ended up being coerced into paying for the 10% tip even though it isn't mandatory in Germany. Overall, not the best experience. Not too bad, but not excellent either. Very average steakhouse let down by lacklustre service.

Love the food, the service and the atmosphere.. all love..

This is a simple and easy, no-nonsense steakhouse. Bish-bash-bosh, everything arrives at the table like clockwork and you've enjoyed a lovely steak before you know it!

I really loved this place. We asked for our steaks to be rare, and they were. They came with baked potatoes, garlic bread and salad. Also the apple strudel was delicious. The prices are decent compared to other places.

The most delicious steak I’ve ever had. After my first experience here, I’ve been coming here whenever I want to eat steak. The staff are so professional and friendly. There are 2 menus in English and Deutsch you can ask for the other language. 100 percent recommended to everyone. A mist go place. P.S. if you want to go there for dinner, I suggest a reservation.

It's a steakhouse with a good price. The service is also very friendly. We were served by a female waiter who was very patient. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is suitable for gatherings.

I really liked the place, I feel like the area is the best place to get good food and not so expensive.

Visiting from NI. Took a little while for our Ribeye steaks to come to the table (we were compensated with an extra starter) but it was well worth the wait. Enjoyed it all. Salad, extra Starter, Steak, Baked potato and my Mushrooms.

Awesome place, food, service. They serve really delicious steak with fresh salad. Husband order a bottle of wine that they recomend it. I would say it's a worth of money to spend enjoying lovely dinner here with my husband. Would come here again next time.

Very good steakhouse! Saw some reviews about bad service which I not agree While we waiting for a table we got a small refreshment as a small glass of red wine. I do not trink so the manager came back with a glass of apple juice. Very nice staff Good steak I ordered a medium rare Rumpsteak. It was very nice, very well grilled, after finishing the dish not much " bloody" plate left which I see with other restaurant a lot.

Nice salad, very fresh. Good filet mignon, high quality meat. On the pricey side. Liked the interior.

Outstanding food! Amazing team! - I never have seen the kitchen and the service team work that hard, efficient and still being super friendly! We went two time in a row and I would visit them every day!

Lange nicht im Block House gewesen. Am frühen Nachmittag war es nicht meht sehr voll, der Service war etwas langsam, wahrscheinlich war vorher ziemlich viel zu tun gewesen. Das bestellte Essen kam in kurzer Zeit und war von guter Qualität. Die jahrelange Erfahrung der Küche im Zubereiten von Fleisch war deutlich zu spüren. Lecker! 😋 Die Portionen waren ausreichend groß, sodass wir nach dem Essen gesättigt und zufrieden waren. Immer mal wieder gern.

Im großen und ganzen ein leckeres Restaurant. Ich war mit meinem Dad am Abend da. Glücklicherweise hatten wir sofort einen Platz bekommen, da es sonst immer eine riesige Schlange gibt. Das Essen an sich war lecker. Der Vorspeisesalat war frisch und lecker. Das einzige was ich ein wenig schade fand, dass das Steak was ich mir für 44 Euro bestellt hatte aussah wie ein Klumpen Fleisch. Versteht mich nicht falsch, es hat lecker geschmeckt aber sah einfach nicht grade gut aus (vorallem für das Geld). Naja im Großen und Ganzen ein gutes Restaurant, selbst wenn die Portionen klein und die Anrichtung eher schlecht gemacht sind

A decent place for meat, the T-bone was grilled perfectly. Kids offering is generous. But, they don't serve burgers with bread nor chicken nuggets rather beef nugets (which are fine) Prices are a bit high, for kids they are fine enough.

As with most Block Houses you‘ll get what you expect over and over again so I went here and got what I expected and was happy after. I would only wish for the Steaks to be a bit bigger. Other than that the service was on point and the potato gratin fabulous. Funny thing, I saw a couple of folks eating the Block House Burgers... however right underneath is a Jim Block Burger restaurant🤓. Yeah anyways I can recommend this restaurant!

On point grilled steak for a fair price. They managed the customers well even though there were a lot of people. Staff is friendly and you never have to wait too long until someone checks up on your table. I had the American Tenderloin and it was delicious, and even though it looked a bit small when it came to the table it was the exact right amount and the perfect taste for it.

Bad service, it took more than 1 hour to get our food, the staff does not care about the customers, the food presentation is horrible... the meat is good but it's not worth visiting this place again.

The worst food delivery I couldn’t ever even imagine. If I wanna eat precooked, warmed up not fresh made ****, I can do buy it for €2.50 to supermarket alone. The foo I’ve got is basically just ready to eat for the future 10 months as cover says. Even the taste is really horrible.

What a disappointing visit to this restaurant. Used to be a solid restaurant for friends and families. But the tasting of the food was boring. The waiters were more busy completing tonight’s income next to our table rather than paying attention to the guests. They did not offer a dessert card after finishing our table. When we asked for the bill, it took them almost 15 minutes to get it. Not the same satisfying level it used to be.

Very friendly staff, tasty food and unpretentious design. And it was not busy when I visited on a Sunday evening. Only issue was the fries that could be better.

Really bad steaks. They were very dry and overcooked. This is definitely not worth the money they take for any of their dishes. Also very stressful service - and the waiters were much in a hurry. All in all cannot recommend if you want a steak. Poor rib-eye was destroyed. Not coming back.

Good place and good food, even for vegetarians

Took over an hour to get served, and my fiancée's steak wasn't cooked as instructed. They shouldn't have filled the restaurant as much as they did with the few staff they had

So, where do i begin. First of all the the service was great, the staff was friendly. The location it self was comfortable and the bathrooms where rather clean. The food was served quickly. The salad was great, the dressing, the ingredients, everything fitted just fine. But sadly i cant say so much good things about the steak. The quality of the meat was good and it was at most parts evenly cooked in the way you ordered it. But sadly it has no taste. It was poorly seasoned and also only from one side. Salt was completely missing on the steak and it tasted like it was seasoned after grilling. The meat it self had nit really much taste and due to the fact that it was only seasoned from one side the overall steak lacked in taste. The steak also only had a light crust on the top side and barely any crust at the backside. Due to these facts i sadly have to give only two stars.
