Visited on a spine chilling day, not as a game fan but just as a tourist. Entry ticket 8 euros for adults and 5.50 if you're student. Lot to walk when you come just to watch and go.

Our visit took place during Lollapalooza Berlin festival. It was our third time there. The venue and its surroundings are stunning. Very majestatic and really well organized. Totally need to go there for regular sightseeing. And festival - beautiful people, great atmosphere and always something surprising. Maybe prices of food and drinks might be lower but festival has its own rights. We will be back next year

Almost 100yrs of age, but the stadium still looks modern. Visited back in 2019 after a Phill Collins’ live concert, so they were still clearing the concert’s setup from the football pitch. The tour of the stadium was worth it and hope to attend a live match there someday to fill the energy.

We attended a Coldplay Concert tonight at the Olympiastadion. Will Call for tickets 🎟 very organized. We had an amazing time, but acoustics a little loud. The stadium is older and doesn't have enough bathrooms. The queues were pretty long for beverages and food. All in all, though, we had an amazing time! Police presence at the concert was veey appreciated. Transportation was easy, using the S- Bahn, Olympiastadion

A very impressive stadion. Definitely when you learn and realize the history of the stadium. We did the one hour highlights tour (English). The guide spoke very good English and knew her facts. Nice to see all the areas where you are normally not allowed to come. Definitely worth a visit.

I went to this place to watch the league match between Berlin and Frankfurt with some Frankfurt fan friends. The stadium is huge and the beautiful. Can hold great number of audience. This stadium also holds the Olympic games logo which talks about the history of the stadium. Oval shaped stadium with naturally beautiful and well maintained grass is very attractive. Besides the stadium, even the crowd in the stadium are wonderful. They were energetic and that was a treat to experience. There's also a Tram stop near the stadium. So, this is very well connected. Only thing people need to note is, the drinks near the stadium are very expensive. I would highly recommend that you buy your drinks and come. Only Beer and non-alcoholic beverages were allowed.

There's something about walking up to the main entrance here, and under those five rings. It's a clean stadium. Clean looking architecture, well kept grounds and it's well run. The stadium has its place in history, and the various statues surrounding it testify to that and provide a reminder of those famed moments. History aside, it has plenty to offer outside of sport. It's perfect for events and concerts. Transport there is excellent. Once there, it offers great options for food and drink and queues aren't bad. The security for my recent concert was well run and people management was effective and efficient. Very much worth the visit.

Lovely stadium full of history. We opted for the tour and it was very well worth going. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us the opportunity to ask questions. We visited the changing rooms, the area where players gather before going out on the pitch, the VIP section, the press conference room. The price was 25 euros for 2 people because we had a discount due to buying the Berlin card.

Good to go and see, just not a whole lot to do when you get there. None of the food stalls except one were open by that’s probably down to the time of the day we got there. The stadium itself is a big and proud as you’d expect. Glad we went but would have liked a little something else to do when you get there.

The atmosphere at the Olympia Stadion was electric as Hamburg secured a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Hertha BSC. The stadium was alive with passionate fans cheering on their respective teams. Despite the chilly weather, the excitement on the field kept everyone warm. As for the refreshments, the fries were perfectly crispy and the Coca-Cola was refreshing, adding to the enjoyment of the match. Overall, it was a thrilling experience at the Olympia Stadion, with great football and tasty snacks to match.

Visited this during the Olympic games - Tokyo. It was nice and fresh visit. It's great to try out the different seats to inspect the view of the field. The games village is so big , could cover only part of it. Worth a visit.

Even though I didn’t go inside of the stadium, I had chills the entire time whilst exploring the outside. Nature has reclaimed a good portion of what used to be different parking lots, etc. One of my favorite sights that I got to see in Berlin.

Overall enjoyed the atmosphere and how big the stadium looks as well as the history. Though I went somewhat in the Winter time it was a bit renovated and unable to see a lot of it. Overall a definitely must stop for the cultural impact!! They also have a lot of information panels in both German and English that help you get a sense of what you're looking at! As well as they have preserved most of the stadium from the 1936 Olympics! It's impressive to see the monuments as well as the places that people almost long gone have stayed!

Don’t buy tickets on the t4 row seats 1-5, they are by the strange separator wall that only exists in 2 parts of the stadium. Overall good place, however be prepared to have 1-2 hours after the show to get into the ubahn as everyone goes there. I saw Coldplay there and happy about it, I think overall it’s a good stadium.

When it is not match day you can do tour the historic Olympiastadion. The tour includes visits to the lounges, locker room, and track and field warm up room. The have the tour in both English and German.

A remarkable blend of historical significance and modern architecture, offering a breathtaking experience for visitors. Steeped in history, the stadium retains elements of its original 1936 design, yet has been masterfully updated to meet contemporary standards, making it a symbol of timelessness. The beauty of the Olympiastadion lies not only in its grandeur and scale but also in the intricate details of its construction. The juxtaposition of old and new elements creates a unique aesthetic that is both awe-inspiring and thought-provoking. The vast seating area, with its impressive capacity, provides excellent views from virtually every angle, ensuring an enjoyable experience whether you’re there for a sports event or a concert. The stadium’s atmosphere is electrifying, especially during major events, encapsulating the spirit of competition and celebration. Its state-of-the-art facilities add to the comfort and enjoyment of visitors, making every visit memorable. Additionally, the surrounding area of the stadium, with its lush greenery and open spaces⬤

Good history, architecture, seats and area. Easy to connect with the subway and an impressive construction all around. Loved the informational signs and different monuments of Olympic history around the arena. Good experience, expensive if you don’t get a discount from the lovely cashier at the store part of the area. Thanks and Hello.

Second time visiting the Olympiastadion. We decided to take the tour with audio guide, was good value for money and very interesting. Would love to visit for a live event someday

Great stadium with rich history. Nicely adapted to modern use. The only downside is the number of toilets - during match days expect long queues. Some spectators decide to relive along the walls outside which is not the great. Also vehicular access is awful, after the game it takes at least an hour to get out of nearby residential area.

The staduim is stunning.... but the tour guides and company that run it completely incompetent and inflexible. We had accidentally booked onto a 2hour guided tour in German. On turning up we were informed of our error but there was an English tour going at the same time. We thought common sense would prevail and they would just let us join the English one, nope, no chance.... despite explaining to her it's a walking tour, could we not just join the group at the back, nope!!! When the two groups were being called together we asked the tour guide herself could we join. Nope, no chance, not happening. I feel the approach was completely ridiculous and spoiled the day.

Was a very cool place with great history! The stadium is impressive due to its sheer size and the effort that must of gone into making it as it’s all made of huge stone blocks!! There are great statues around the outside! The info pillars around the place are also good as they show lots of pictures of what it was like for the Olympics and at Hitler rallies so is great for historians! The women who works on the desk was also lovely and very helpful! Only €5 for students which was good! There is also a cafe there that I didn’t try!

In the outskirts of Berlin but can easily be reached. A must visit place if you haven't seen an Olympic Stadium as this is huge and the statues, bell and front offer nice views. There is a lavatory in Block T and a restaurant as well close by. Souvenir shop at the entrance. Group tours are also available. Read history of it and what happened in those Olympic games, you will be more enthused to visit.

I expect many shots of this stadium have been posted on here over the years, but my last picture really places this as 2020 ! When I visited, a team of workers were placing signs on every 3rd seat in preparation for social distancing at the Hertha Berlin vs Frankfurt match the next day (Friday 25th Sept.). By the way, Hertha lost 1 : 3!

For a stadium built in the 1930's this structure has stood the test of time very well. It does not look that old. It seems somehow more contemporary than stadiums built 20-30 years ago. Good to see it still be used and in good condition. I can imagine how exciting it is to be there when the place is full and a close-run contest is drawing to a close.

You can not only experience games by my old lady Hertha BSC here, in terms of mood, concerts such as those by Udo Lindenberg or comedy can be experienced just as well. 😌👌 And a stadium tour outside of any event is just as exciting. Maybe not the best place to watch football as the fans are too far from the pitch, but the architecture and history of the place are priceless. sports loving visitors to the city should definitely go and see a game and just soak in the atmosphere, the architecture and the 1 litre beer cups!

We visited this on a gloomy day and it really set the mood. The stadium is quite brutal and dark and worth a visit. The staff at the ticket office were very friendly and welcoming and the café does really nice hot chocolate.

Huge stadium made for 75 000 people. Short history: The Olympiastadion is a sports stadium at Olympiapark Berlin in Berlin, Germany. It was originally built by Werner March for the 1936 Summer Olympics. During the Olympics, the record attendance was thought to be over 100,000. Today the stadium is part of the Olympiapark Berlin.

The Nazis decided that the Deutsche Stadion, built for the cancelled 1916 Summer Olympics, would be demolished. Instead had this gigantic arena built in antique style for the 1936 Olympics. The stadium has a magnificent interior and at Maifeld, heroic statues overlook the Olympic horse polo field. The names of the summer Olympic winners are carved in stone. Jesse Owen became the King of the Games with four gold medals and has later also received an avenue outside the stadium area. The Olympic bell struck ominously about the dark clouds that would come over Europe and the rest of the world a few years later. Today, the stadium is home to the football team Hertha Berlin SC and a wonderful concert arena. It’s also a tourist attraction that is well worth a visit when you can walk around the whole facility. An historical and impressive stadium. Saw Coldplay perform and it was a great concert in a great venue! Well organised entrance and a lot of food- and drink-stands. Very easy to get to the stadium with the U-ban.

  • 5/5 Michael A. 1 year ago on Google
Coldplay concert was out of This universe amazing! The stadion had done everything right from getting your tickets, entry at night with lots of staff and security. People walking around with a drum of beer in a backpack so you could buy directly from them, instead of hours of queue at the stands. Aften the concert, every exit were open and lots of staff to make sure everyone got out without Any issues!

I got to hear the rich chilling history behind this stadium all thanks to the brilliant guide who took us through. Totally recommend if you're exploring Berlin

Great visit with very good audio guide that made the visit so much more valuable for both kids (age 10 & 12) and parents. The 1,5h walk around the station past very quickly and we could move around freely and explore with the assistance of the audio guide. Family entrance €19, audio guide €2

Very impressive stadium. It's possible to book a tour to visit locations under or inside the stadium which are usually not accessible when watching a concert or football match. If the stadium is full, the atmosphere is fantastic. Take a jacket with you, it can be chilly there.

The history of this complex is one that I think is too easy to overlook. The vast area is very beautiful and the structure is still majestic. The continued effort to restore and yet keep it functioning is amazing. My father told my family of his excitement as a very young child being taken to the 1936 Olympics in his uncle's arms. We took my father, back now at 91 and he is so amazed at how familiar it feels.

Unbelievable fans, beers and atmosphere. Without a doubt the best energy and buzz I’ve felt at a football game. Even compared to when I’ve seen Ireland beat Germany at the Aviva, after they won the World Cup in 2014.

I visited this place the day of the Opening of the Special Olympics. I loved all the energy that was in the air that day. This place is huge, got lost like 2 times, but didn't care because of the view. The place is very clean, the event was well organized, the people that were providing service at the event were really nice and helpful as well. You also feel very safe here. Unfortunately, the food and beverages sold here were overpriced, but that has nothing to do with the venue, it's the event organizers and the sellers. I am looking forward to another concert or any kind of event in this place.

We went for a light experience tour of the olympic stadium with colleagues and their loved ones and we had a blast. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and took very good care of us. She even offered the tour in English as we had some team members not understanding German perfectly well. The tour itself was very impressive. We basically had the whole stadium for ourselves and were shown everything from fan block to hall of honors, players changing rooms, the pitch and the olympic flame. The light experience consisted of several parts where the guide started astonishing light and sound shows from a tablet she was wearing around her neck. While the tour obviously focuses on the technology of the stadium behind the light experience, our guide also sprinkled in a lot of historic knowledge. Large part of the tour is outdoors, so if done in winter, bring warm clothes.
