The place in Berlin where you feel you have to runaway as soon as possible. There are dealers and users at anytime, and consequently also wastes everywhere. You can also find People selling cigarettes, Parfums and headphones as well. Some abandoned cars are parked there sometimes, with sometimes also people inside doing drugs in the dark and their cameraflash on. Oh and there are amazing toilets with sometimes like 20 people waiting their turn to be in there. There are also some families bringing their children to play there at the park, i wonder how. Sometimes there are also alien people dressed in neon working and cleaning the square in the morning, knowing that in one hour will be exactly the same.

Now the decay can no longer be overlooked. There is a flea market on Saturday and a small fair during the week...with a carousel and much more.

In addition to the delicate smell of urine, nice people always ask you "if you have a problem". You are regularly asked for money. There are rats too. Completely meets the expectations of Berlin. We recommend !

Whether the wedding finally comes or not doesn't matter, it's great here! The district has much more to offer than Leopoldplatz and the Boateng Mural, such as the Rehberge with its open-air cinema, the beautiful Pötzensee, Center Français de Berlin with its German-French cultural center and the City Kino West, to name just a few. Not to mention the numerous multicultural enrichments in beautiful cafés, bars and restaurants... Anyone who has neglected Wedding should also pay attention to its inner values and not just reduce it to its unsightly corners and edges. The name suggests that you hate the district or you marry it: Wedding.

What can I say... dirty, run-down, ugly, lots of homeless people and drug addicts.... Not a place you want to stay longer than necessary. Not safe for my child. The Berlin administration definitely needs to do something here.

Wedding Weinsmarkt has a great atmosphere and artsy vibe. It is less crowded than the other Xmas markets in Berlin, and open almost every weekend in December!

Superficially a nice looking place and the market on Sundays is great. However, the area has a huge problem with drug abuse and alcoholics loitering and openly using drugs in the park. This leads to unsafe situations for children playing in the park. Personally I would not let my child play here at all.

In the heart of the bustling city lies Leopoldplatz, a sanctuary of elegance reminiscent of the grandeur found in Venice's winding canals and the charm of Parisian boulevards. Here, amidst the timeless beauty, there is a subtle fragrance that wafts through the air, akin to the delicate scent of cherry blossoms in spring. It's a scent that tells a story, much like the historic air of Rome or the tranquil temples of Kyoto. In Leopoldplatz, this scent of life, including the occasional whiff of pee, becomes woven into the tapestry of its existence, adding depth and character to its allure. As I sit with a coffee at Cafe Leo, I find myself lost in reverie, reminiscing on the beauty that surrounds me, appreciating how even the simplest moments in Leopoldplatz hold a unique and unforgettable charm.

There are many shopping opportunities here, basically everything you need. As far as I know, there is a market here in front of the church twice a week. Unfortunately, it is often very dirty here. You should avoid the playground behind the church, drugs and violence are the order of the day here.

Nice child play place, sometimes you can find some child activities like swimming pool and electric train, but there are a lot of stinky homeless underdrugged people. They live there and have a huge spot nearbay. It’s not possible to use public bathroom because people are almost living there. I also saw homeless people sleeping the whole night in sleeping bag in the child house in the playground

I would be scared and worried about what kind of hustle and bustle there would be in the morning

Has a lot of potential, weekly markets, greenery etc. But the inherited setting of homeless and drug addicts is not too nice to look at. City should put more emphasize on the green areas, more support for the homeless. Good place to walk through, but not to chill at.

I found really great furniture 😊. I personally really liked it. There is also junk but like everything it's a matter of taste and I was lucky that I found the right one 😃 Buying furniture wasn't actually planned. Very happy again 😊

There is a nice park for kids in the square and the place has some.nice cafes, ice cream parlours and places to grab a bite without burning a hole in your pocket. Area around the park though could be cleaner. The square here also plays host to fairs and flea markets

Okay - klar. Hinter der Kirche ist es nicht schön 😉 Es ist aber der zentrale Platz hier im Wedding, mit schönen Märkten und ein paar nette Lokal umgeben in auch.

Unfortunately, a lot has changed for the worse in Leo, although there is still the farmers' market and such, there are also a lot of drug addicts and drug sales. Unfortunately, the Karstädt department store no longer exists. It was a shame it used to be a district.

Leopold Platz isn't really beautiful, but there is hope that it will be an attractive place. In any case, the district is doing its best. I really enjoy visiting the market myself.

My Beloved Leopoldplatz, In the heart of your majestic piazza, you stand as a symbol of enchantment, a haven where the echoes of our love resonate through the bustling square. With each step I take within your embrace, I am reminded of the tapestry of contrasts that make you so uniquely beautiful. As I stroll through your grandeur, I am captivated by the symphony of life that surrounds us. The faint stabs of syringes that pierce the night air serve as a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit, a testament to the strength that lies within us all. And even as children gaze upon the crack addicts from the playground, their innocence remains untouched, a beacon of hope amidst the chaos of the world. Oh Leopoldplatz, how I am enamored by your grace, how my heart sings in your presence. May our love continue to blossom amidst the contrasts of life, for it is in your embrace that I find solace and serenity.

Interesting, the square is quite large. The market is ok, everything from cheap plastic stuff to... not that. The square could be great if it wasn't for the junkies; open drug scene.

If you want to see some more of the popular and melting pot in Berlin, you have to run to see Leopoldplatz before the gentrification gets a taste of it all in one go.

  • 4/5 Kazanian's E. 1 year ago on Google
I do enjoy this flea market, the fact that it's on a Saturday as well makes it a regular weekend activity for me. There are quite a few profi sellers and often their prices are on the ridiculous side but there's always an opportunity for a real bargain and the mix of retro furniture, artwork, home deco and newer junk items makes a welcome change from all the handmade and designer stuff that have slowly taken over the flea markets here in the last 10 years. It's small but crammed with stands and there's also toilets nearby and a food stand with delicious falafels and cold drinks.

Nice place, public park & Church. A multi story shopping center for a wide range of things from groceries, clothes and kitchenware to bed & duvet coverings and odds and ends . Public library and government services in the area. Good connections to public transportation.
