Er ist nach dem Kommunalpolitiker Heinrich Wilhelm Krausnick (1797–1882) benannt und der vermutlich unbekannteste Park in Berlin. Aus einer ehemals privaten Gartenanlage entstand 2007 ein öffentlicher Park, der jetzt von einem Anwohnerverein liebevoll gepflegt wird, um dieses idyllische Kleinod zu erhalten. Noch den Lärm von der belebten Oranienburger Straße im Ohr, spürt man nach wenigen Schritten im Park die himmlische Ruhe und entspannte Atmosphäre zwischen Ziersträuchern und Blumenbeeten. Die Geschichte des Parks geht bis in das 18. Jahrhundert zurück. Zu dieser Zeit wurde hier Obst und Gemüse angebaut. In den Jahren ab 1840 erfolgte in der Oranienburger Straße die erste feste Bebauung. Der königliche Bauinspektor errichtete darüber hinaus ein Sommerhaus, das 1878 durch ein Ballhaus mit zwei großen Sälen ersetzt wurde. Das gehobene Bürgertum erfreute sich an einer Kegelbahn, einem Musikpavillon und an einem Springbrunnen. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg wurde ein Großteil der Anlage zerstört. 1959 wurde einer der Ballsäle zum Hörsaal umgebaut und von der Psychologischen Fakultät der Humboldt-Universität genutzt. Der Garten wurde aufgeteilt, einige Parzellen als Gärten, Spielplatz und für eine Kindertagesstätte genutzt. 1997 begannen erste Überlegungen, den Park wieder als öffentliche Grünanlage zu erschließen. Schöner kleiner Park, weil er leer ist, da er so versteckt liegt. Gegenüber ist der Monbijoupark, daher schaut man wohl dorthin und geht einfach am verschlossenen Eisentor vorbei, an dem ein klitzekleines Schild auf den Park hinweist. Sonst würde man eher davon ausgehen, dass es ein begrünter Hof ist. Jedes umliegende Haus hat einen eigenen Zugang, manchmal mit einem hübschen alten rostigen Tor versehen. In dem Park gibt es zwei kleine Spielplätze, eine mobile Tischtennisplatte, eine Liegewiese, viele verschiedene Bäume, darunter zwei Quittenbäume, wann sieht man die schon mal? Ein kleiner Garten mit Blumen und Gemüse wurde auch von jemandem angelegt.
