Common toilet/shower, sketchy building, it was OK for one night, reasonably cheap and alright if you don't have another option and don't mind it, I didn't mind if for the fact that it was a quick stop and it's so close to everything, but even so it should be better, more welcoming, cleaner and I don't understand to this day why the heck I wasn't allowed on the balcony (my room had one). But I didn't ask, I left as quick as I arrived... Just wish I'd seen a bit more quality. So no, it's not the end of the world but if you like minimum privacy, comfort and plan to stay longer, stay elsewhere.

The good part is, it's a cheap hotel in Berlin and close to the S-bahn... But the rooms are so incredibly dirty. Dirty stains in the chair, on the wall, the whole carpet, the curtains. What wasn't covered in stains? I would recommended for sure to pay a bit more for a better and cleaner hotel because you don't want to spend your nights thinking about the dirt your sleeping in.

Very rude and unprofessional reception, we were skamed in first place so we had to go there They can't speak English at all and don't take card! Only cash even if you booked via booking. Com

I needed a room for a night, due to last minute unexpectant circumstances and Hotel Amadeus Central were there for me. They were a Godsend and I can not thank them enough. They were very accomodating and the receptionist was amazing in her professionalism, helping me out in my hour of need. She deserves special praise. It is in a great location with easy access to the City and I highly recommend that any traveller considers this location as a point of call. Thank you Hotel Amadeus Central.

I booked this hotel only because I booked late for a Berlin trip. For the price you are really not getting what you deserve. You need to put down a deposit of 100 euros for your keys and the receptionist "strongly appreciate if you pay by cash". And despite this, 2 out of 3 of the showers on my floor has blocked drainage and the only 1 left does not have hot water. The hotel itself is definitely a converted housing as the rest of the building are private flats. There's mysterious brown stains on the mattress in my room, and wardrobe is close to broken. Overall the only good points is just the location as you can get to and from Berlin hbf in about 30 minutes through Sbanh. And the Italian restaurant Il Gusto is great for service, price and food. As a recommendation, please book your hotels way ahead so you wouldn't be stuck with this one as your only option.

80 Eur/night no toilet paper. If you expect something more than separate room in a hostel for a price of fine hotel, than I'm sorry. On booking it's written that you can pay with a card, but you can't. Also there is 50 Eur deposit, just in case you wanna prepare your money in advance. There is a blocked balcony because you may get suicidal after getting your really expensive room and service. Wifi is constantly disconnected and you need to re-login. Not recommend. Bench in a park seems more safe and cozy

One of the worst hotels I have ever been. You can't enter the hotel after 11pm. Luckily I came here before that. It seems like they are in a "wifi hiding" business. In the room I could not find any wifi so had to go downstairs again to get wifi. They have secret wifi for everyone!! The washroom is abysmal. There is no shampoo or soap for shower. The showering experience was also horrible. The toylet is also bad. It was the cheapest option and I was in a hurry but never again coming here.

This place is a joke. This place should not be called Hotel in the first place. The reception is two doors next to the actual makeshift-old-apartments turned into a hostel/motel. You don't feel safe staying here. Don't expect any soaps/shampoo in the shared bathroom. Yes shared. Wifi doesn't work properly. They don't even inform you about it. I had to walk back two doors down to ask for wifi. TV is small and looks like from the dumpster. They advertise their balcony but don't allow people to open the door to the balcony. Then there's 20€ key deposit. Reception is not 24 hours. No common room/lounge. No breakfast (but thank God there's a bakery downstairs). They can't even provide hot water if you want to make tea or coffee. I pay around 250€ for three nights and i think i can get better values someplace else. Don't be deceived by it's name and pictures

Didn’t even make it to our room due to an unavailable reception service. This one star goes to the guy who let us in the warmer area to find a new place to stay and letting us out as well. Because you can’t unless you have the key. Otherwise it might have been a fine place to crash and spend the night..

My flight slightly delayed, tried to call for an hour to explain I would be 5 minutes late to check in, no one answered the phone, wrote emails but no response. Arrived to the hotel in a strange city to find the hotel closed!!!! At 11pm. No contact number, no help, NOTHING. The stress and panic. Had to traipse around the city trying unsuccessfully to get another hotel last minute. Nearly had to sleep on the street! Thank god for kind strangers who rescued me, none of that trauma would have been necessary if the hotel did what hotels are supposed to do. And now I'm being fully charged! They're making me pay the whole amount for accommodation that I didn't use!!! Do not stay here!!!

Worst experience with a hotel. We arrived late that night(checkin hours were till 11, we arrived at 11 30), nobody was there and nobody to be found at the telephone so we slept elsewhere that night, but the real issue is that the next morning when we finally went there to check in they told us the PAID NON REFUNDABLE reservation was cancelled because we did not checkin in the first night. So that is how we lost 4 or 5 days worth of accommodation. The guy at the reception didn't seem that bad but he was helpless so being nice didn't really improve the overall hospitality of the hotel chain.

This has to be the worst place I've ever paid actual money to sleep in. The triple room is literally as wide as two single beds and as long as two and a half beds, so I would say 3x5 m. The shower closest to our room had a clogged drain, there is no soap or shampoo, the door wouldn't fully close... Other than that, it was fine.

Smells funny, not particularily clean, only cash at the reception. On the bright side, well, it's not a bench in a park, but you wouldn't really tell the difference at the end of the day. Common showers and bathrooms, some of them not working, some interesting stains on the walls. Overall a bad experience and I'll make sure to never come again.

Fine for the price! The staff was very friendly and the room was basic but clean. The double bed (actually 2 twin beds together ) was the size of the whole room, lol. It was good for a night but I probably wouldn't want to stay more than that as its cramped. Shared bathrooms were clean and the street is quiet. Gets the job done for €40/night!

Very old building, it's not really a hotel... Just a random room with a bed and old furniture. The bed is comfortable and the sheets clean. The common shower room is just a shower. The common bathroom is just a toilet and a sink. Very far from the city center and expensive for what it has to offer. There is a 50€ security deposit (in a "hotel") but I got it back. I would not recommend it.

I'll start with the positive, because there ain't a lot: The room itself was okay: clean bed, working desk and windows. The lady in the reception was very friendly and kind. Sure, it was the cheapest non-shared room I could find (as I barely had any foresight and needed a place just a couple of days ahead), and I read the reviews and had basically no expectations, but this was still the worst stay I've had for this price. Basically no sound-proofing at all, so all sounds in the corridor and people talking in other rooms could be heard. The shower drain must not have been cleaned in a loong time, because as SOON as I started showering the floor started filling up, so I had to take breaks for it to not run out on the floor outside, and had to stand on the sides to not have my feet in the yuck-water. Also the smallest shower I've ever been in, it was a challenge to not get the yucky shower curtain all over me when done and trying to put on my clothes. Corridor shower and toilet all could use some renovation to feel a bit more fresh. Half or a third of the price would have been appropriate for what you get, but this far from the city center I would expect either a higher standard or a cheaper price. Not valuable at all.

Stayed here one night when we needed a last-minute budget accommodation and were pretty hesitant about the place, but it was actually totally fine! More of a hostel standard, but the triple room and the bathrooms were clean when we stayed there. My main issue with the room is that there wasn't any window one can open, just a balcony door that one is not allowed to open for some reason...

They charged me 20 euros without warning for late check out . Room rate was 31 euro but penalty for late check out 20 euro. No more Amadeus hotel. No more ... no more .. I will sleep in the street but I’ll never come to this hotel. I don’t advise other visitors also. They charge from everyone by same way . It must be new way of earning easy money. Outside was also very noisy. No more amadeus central.

We arrived in Berlin at 22:30 super excited to visit the city. To be sure about how to collect the key for our stay we call the hotel when we landed. We where meet by a very disgraceful employee that in the most unkind way told us that we would not be able to enter the hotel after 23:00 and that we could basically crash and burn for all she mattered. This leed to a Hugh amount of stress on us as we had no place to sleep. There was no help no service only a requirement for us to be at the hotel at 08:00 the following day just to let us have the rest of our already payed and booked trip. I would never in my wildest dream have thought that a complete lack of service in that league could be experienced! We even checked the information on the reservation which mentioned no information in this regard. I am deeply disappointed with the way we where treated and will never in anyway recommended this place. We had to pay the full rate and was “lucky” to be granted access the following day at 08:00…

This hotel is a complete scam. There is NO free parking. Reception said to find free parking on the street. There is NO GYM or SPA. It is ABSOLUTELY NOT handicap friendly. The moment you go through the front door, there are stairs. At the top of the stairs there is an elevator...

It’s not a clean please. It has a strong smell of dirty. During the summer, it’s too hot. If you close the balcony door, it’s too hot during the summer. Not appropriate for families with kids.

The hotel is in the other building than reception (lol). Intensive vanilla smell all over the corridors. Really comfortable bed. Enough for 3-day stay.

Reminds me of Hotel Cortez in AHS with Art Deco features and Cathy Bates on reception ! More of a hostel with hostile staff !!

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE WITH THIS HOTEL. We landed in Berlin at 10pm, a reasonable time. I called to let the hotel know we would be arriving around 11:30pm - 00:00. The person who answered very rudely told me that she did not work after 11pm. She told me to come back the next day. I asked her to please wait for me as I had already paid for the night and was going to lose my money and I had nowhere to stay at!!. She told me that who was going to pay her for that extra hour of work? She told me to find another place to spend the night and not to bother her anymore. Very sneaky of the hotel to make guests pay for one night and then tell them they can't come in or come in the next day. NOT RECOMMENDED at all, book another hotel. We lost our money for the first night because they simply don't feel like receiving guests(WHO HAVE ALREADY PAYED) after 11pm, something that even the staff in a low cost hostel can do (or any NORMAL hotel in the entire world would do).

First of all when i reserved the hotel the price looked too good for the rooms, however when we arrived and checked in the hotel! We weren’t satisfied because we felt scammed. We had a lot of concerns, the toilets where shared in which it was indicated on Booking but they DIDNOT UPLOAD ANY PHOTOS, to create confusion, they were dirty. Second the hotel isn’t suited for families, specifically if you have kids! The reception smelled like cannabis. The place is very terrible, basically its looked liked a public housing converted to a hotel ! We asked for a refund because we reserved for 3 nights, afterwards we faced the angery owner in which she was VERY VERY RUDE, she didn’t speak English nor any other language expect a very bad German and maybe Russian, basically she acted tuff just because of the language barrier, she was rude and very insulting, she gave us two options in which “ we pay for one night without staying in the hotel or not paying us back anything penny and go see a lawyer “ that what she told us so we ended up paying around 145 to get the rest of money back! When we finished mangling with her, she used a bad language to tell us to leave her property, she was accompanied by a FAT MAN in which his role is to intimidate us, he neither didn’t speak English, so the communication was very hard with them. He had to call a friend in which he translated what she was saying after she finished talking to him she throw the phone as if it was hers!!

WORST HOTEL EVER! It is unsafe!!! I am beyond mad, they were absolutely disrespectful, the owner entered my room because he needed the balcony!!! It was locked and he used his key to access it while I was there, completely disrespectful and unsafe. When I complained about this they didn't even care. Also, the price is too high for what it really is, it smells bad, the internet doesn't work, the heater also doesn't work, you can feel the vibration on the walls every time somebody closes a door, but definitely the worst part is that they don't respect your privacy at all, just imagine being a women and entering your hotel room just to find an old man inside of YOUR room who claims to be the owner of the hotel, disgusting. And to answer to the Hotel reply: Don't come to me with these excuses, You are the ones who should be ashamed for charging what you charge with such a bad service... It is so bad that the only good thing you have to say is that your receptionist helped me with the suitcases, you don't even deny the things I said, because you know how bad the service you provide is! Even after entering my room without my permission, the receptionist knocked on my room insistently, not to apologize for what happened, but to ask me to delete this review in a very rude way, which of course I wouldn't do to let people know how things work there.
