I wanted to know the phenomenon of vegetable kebab. The worst experience is the waiting time - we waited in line for 2 hours and 45 minutes and to be honest I expected something more wow effect . Average quality chicken, some fresh vegetables, baked and fried. a bit of feta cheese, two sauces and that's it. good buns. It was good but it's not a kebab there was no mutton the taste of which is insane. to sum up, the sandwich is tasty if I had to think of it as an original sandwich. and the service of sandwiches leaves a lot to be desired - for such a small menu, the gentlemen who serve sandwiches are very slow, snails. They don't have service dynamics at all. And another minus one man takes money in hand and makes sandwiches. this is a very poor method, no hygiene at all. but well, streetfood has its rights. another terrible sight is garbage around, it's very dirty there in general. Huge minus payment only in cash !!!

It is very well known place in terms of food attractions in Berlin. A lot of people come here to try the kebab, because first kebab served in Germany was in Berlin. Be prepared to stay around 30 minutes in the queue for it. Quality is good, tastes good being, being so big demanding meat is fresh, but other than that, don't expect to be something totally different than other kebab. It can be with chicken meat or veggie

A small takeaway only kebab stall serving delicious food with fast and friendly service. Be prepared to queue for quite a significant length of time by the smoggy roadside traffic. The only meat served is chicken and there's a vegetable only option.

The line was incredibly long, which is often seen as a testament to the popularity and quality of a food establishment. However, the extended wait didn't quite live up to the hype. While the food at Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap was decent, it didn't exceed my expectations or leave a lasting impression. On the positive side, the portions were generous, and the ingredients seemed fresh. It's worth mentioning that Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap has gained a cult following and a reputation for being a must-visit spot. If you don't mind waiting in line and are simply looking for a quick bite, it might be worth a try.

So here are a few tips before you go: 1. Expect a queue. We waited 3.5 hours. 2. Have some snacks and beers while waiting, it can take quite some time as I indicated above. 3. Don't quit! It is really worth the wait. 4. Bring cash. No cards accepted. I was really impressed by the taste. It really was the best. I think the secret is in the spices and grilled vegetables. You will make a lot of friends while waiting. Enjoy the experience and then the taste. Definitely a must visit while in Berlin. I gave it 3 stars for the atmosphere, because it rained and it was cold while we were waiting.

It was THE BEST kebab I've ever eaten but the queue took almost three hours (it was Saturday). The bread was lightly toasted but soft, the salad was fragrant and light, the roasted veg was a delicious touch. The meat was juicy and flavoursome. Also bear in mind that they only accept cash.

This place is very famous and two locals recommended it. Passed by at every hour of the day and there is always a line. I never got any food because the wait is just too long. I first thought, the problem is the amount of people but I feel that the service is just too slow. It took them 5-10 minutes for just one customer. That is way too long. Döner needs to be prepared quickly, 2-5 minutes per person.

You will queue. Just accept that you'll be waiting a long time. The food was great however, but I'm not sure if the almost 2 hours queue was the reason and would anything taste as good. I'm not sure I would wait another 2 hours but definitely worth it for a novel experience and a great meal. I tried very hard to find something about the food I didn't like to try to justify being annoyed about the wait.. but I couldn't. I loved every bit of the food, the crispy outside of the bread and soft inside, the amount of sauce, the veg, the meat. It was all incredible. Give it a try, if only once

This is a good kebab. But don't get fooled, no kebab (or hardly any food) is worth waiting for two hours in a queue. OK with that out of the way let's get into details. Coming from Poland I'm no stranger to kebabs, and I can say this is clearly a higher level stuff. Grilled veggies instead of some generic greens, feta, clear notes of lime and cilantro give in so much depth and freshness. So go for it if there is no ridiculous queue.

This place definitely offers a very good döner. You definitely have to wait in line. But I think it's worth it. There's no seating. You just pick it up and go. The price is very reasonable. I recommend it.

Certainly one of the finest street foods in Berlin! However, bear in mind that during peak hours, you might have to wait for up to 2 hours due to the extensive queue. Despite the wait, I believe it's well worth it.

My favorite kebab in the world! Mind the queue though, it’s always there so come only if you have time to wait!, it’s around 2-3 mins per person. If you want to earn good karma try to make it faster for others in the line: be ready to quickly order what you want and get your drink elsewhere! There’s a store right besides :) There’s this weird human condition that makes us enjoy more the things that require effort and I think this is part of why I like this kebab… when I come here I’m prepared to wait and have some time to think, listen to music or talk with a dear friend if accompanied. The guys work chillingly which I actually like, I believe that food gets the energy of how it’s prepared. After waiting for so long, you’d expect a reward, in my opinion the chicken kebabs themselves are glorious and worth the wait! with lots of flavor, crunchy veggies, cheese and potatoes. Love ‘em!

They are making good kebap but they should work faster. We had to wait for 2 hours and it is not for crowded. They are working very very and very slow. People are kind and there is places to stand out to eat food. I would eat again but because of waiting, I would not. Thanks.

4 stars only because the wait time is horrendous and the staff is taking their sweet time to prepare each and every kebab. 2 hrs in the queue, was it worth it? Well great ingredients make a big difference. Mustafa kebabs are tasty and delicious. The secret is not really a secret: fresh and creative ingredients. It's highly recommended and a must of you're in Berlin for only a few days.

Worth to wait ! Amazing vegetarian kebab with tasty fresh and grilled vegetables. We came around 12pm on Monday (it was holiday in Berlin ) and were waiting around 50 minutes. When we ordered kebabs, Quique was much longer so it’s good to come earlier !

If you don’t mind waiting a long time, this is so worth it! The doner was perfectly balanced between fresh flavours of the dill, veggies and sauces and the meat. We joined the queue at around 1:53pm (they open at 2pm on Fridays) and finally got to order and eat at 4:05pm. The line is slow and is not for the faint hearted but it was worth it for us.

Lined up at 9:58am on a Monday morning with 8 people in front and served at 10:35am (they opened 10mins late). Yes they are slow - but I don't think it's "deliberately slow" - more that there is a blocking factor behind ensuring the chicken is crispy enough to cut. If you watch the craft, I think the only way they could get faster is by sacrificing quality or investing heavily in a better production line, something you'll struggle to do in a food truck. So was it worth the wait? I think it was great, the kebab was indeed the best I've had in Berlin or even Germany (but not by a LONG way)... the crispy vege and nice seasoning really was great. I'd say you can get close enough with some other stores in Berlin if you're impatient. Whether or not you want to wait in line for them is a matter for you! And unlike some reviews here I found the staff spoke enough English.

First time eating at the “original” Mustafa. Went there late in the evening so only had to queue for 5 minutes. It’s definitely delicious, fresh, well prepared and so on. Everything you expect from a quality Döner. I think it was the owner, an older gentleman preparing the kebabs and he was very friendly. Anyways, I was slightly disappointed because it was almost exactly the same as Mustafa Demir’s Gemüse Kebab. If you know Demir’s, they have many outlets around the town - without queuing. Therefore I don’t really understand the hype around this place, they must have done successful marketing back in the days. Anyways, the experience was worth five stars but I still think it’s not worth the queue. If the queue looks long, just head to any of the Demir’s and enjoy 98% the same quality.

We had to wait "only" 20min, but it was absolutely worth it! And yes, the crew doesn't work fast, but therefore all Döner have the same super high standard in being prepared. Would it be worth to wait 2 hours? I guess only pizza napoletana is worth waiting 2 hours for ☝🏽😅 but it was one of the best, if not the best Döner I've ever tried. Super flavorful, just the right mix of bread, meat, salads and sauces, delicately seasoned, perfection.

Awesome Kebap! I waited in line for 1 hour on a Saturday at 4pm. The chicken Kebap comes with different kind if veggies and it was incredible. I tried different places in Berlin and this is the best one. 4 starts instead of 5 because I never waited that long in a line, not even in NYC! It was a little too much!

Finally I had the strongly recommended gemuse kebap in berlin. At first, there was a 100 mtr long queue and thought it would take only 30 mins to get the best kebap and it took 2.5 long hrs. No shade area, you have to stand under the sun. Only 3 options to choose from and you would see most of them eating the first one. Kebap had a lot of chicken, fried potatoes, aubergine and peppers, and plenty of greens. Best part was the sauce, quite unique and spicy. It was worth the wait. Highly recommended.

Despite the three-hour wait, Mustafa Gemüse in Berlin offered a delightful and affordable food experience( it's worth waiting for this experience at least once). While the extended wait time may not be entirely justified, the flavorful and reasonably priced meal makes it a worthwhile choice for those with some patience. Opted for the chicken döner, the flavors in the mix of fresh vegetables and signature sauces made it a satisfying choice. While the service isn't the speediest, the staff is helpful, taking the time to explain the ingredients inside the food. Efficient or not, the friendly assistance adds to the overall positive experience. Note that, you can only pay by cash here it was another negative point for this place.

We waited in line under cold and rainy weather for two hours for this legendary kebab. I would say the taste of the kebab is amazing. I am a person that not really fan of kebab but this kebab is beyond 😋 The downside of this kebab stall is the service is super mega slow 😪 the guy who made the kebab always chit chat with the buyers and he didn’t also speed up the process which is kind of annoying because we were waiting for two hours for not that very long line and I believe they can make one kebab less then 2mins if the seller not too much chit chat.

Awesome döner, lovely staff. They are always down for a positive short chat and all you see is a smiling face. Only that döner could be a little cheaper and you should be expecting a long line.

First and foremost, this is a fantastic döner. Is it overhyped? No. In my opinion, it’s worth the wait, at least to try once and see if you like it. If I had to break it down, the strongest component of this doner are the veggies. A fantastic mix of different vegetables, the eggplant being my favourite. The meat is very flavourful, not THE best I’ve had but still quite great.

Oh Mustafa, Mustafa... I wish I could give the 5 starts but you broke my heart when you sent me away after waiting for 1.5 hours (arrived around 21:30) only to find out later it was a false alarm and there was enough chicken left after all 🥲 I must say my faith wavered, and I can't put all responsibility on you. I did go back the next day though, naively thinking that "no one eats lunch at 16:00". Well, that day I waited 2.5 hours for my Kebap, but I ensured I got it. Was it worth the wait? I convinced myself that it was, only for that one time. Not again though. I think the first time I ever tried it I literally had never tried a kebap in my life, so for a first Kebap experience it was great. I do however have more experience now, and I would say their sauces could be improved. One tasted pretty much like BBQ sauce, the other one was possibly mayo? Not sure. The meat was super tender though, the bread was crunchy and the veggies, well, saying that it had every single vegetable imaginable in there is no exaggeration. I found: potatoes, eggplant, zucchini, cucumber, parsley, mint red pepper, yellow pepper, green pepper, tomatoes, onions, carrots... Probably something else I'm forgetting. All in all, sure, go and try it, make sure you go with someone though, so you can take turns standing, and also take some snacks and drinks for the wait, in the end it is part of the experience.

Exceptionally prepared kebab. There is a reason why it takes a bit of time in the inevitable line - they don’t skimp or cut corners and wait for the perfect cooking of the meat. Knowing there was a line in advance was helpful for planing our day and not waiting to long and to avoid starving while in line. The place is easy to find and very enjoyable. If they had tables this would have been perfect. There is a small brick wall one can sit along to finish your meal.

I’ve had some great kebabs around the world, UK, Turkey, rest of Europe/Middle East. But no doubt this was the best kebab I’ve ever eaten in my life. Everything is fresh and full of flavour. They put grilled vegetables and potato slices in with the chicken. Highly recommend. But we had to queue for 90 mins in the sunshine mid-afternoon Saturday! Don’t come too late or you risk them running out of chicken eg around 11pm

Delicious döner by German standards. Don’t compare it to what you can have in Turkey. Anyway, the reason of the neverending line is a mix of popularity; but mainly the extreme slowness of the staff

Let me give you the waiting time estimation. One doner - around 1min20 sec After every five doners - wait 4mins + (they need to slice the meat and vegetables) from this, you can estimate your waiting time. i queued 35mins, around 18 people in front of me.

Doner is definitely good! But if you prefer to stand in queue for minimal 4-5 hours out in freezing cold or in super hot sun; definitely recommend! But for me one time experience, never going again!

When we went there there was no line so I guess we’re lucky. Döner was amazing, bread was fresh and all the ingredients goes well with each other ,if the waiting line is short you should try it!

A must-visit when in Berlin!! I go here whenever I am in Berlin - same as this time again! The special thing about this Döner is that they serve the Döner with fried veggies and potatoes. It gives the Döner a great additional taste of the fried veggies! The meat also has pretty decent quality! If you're a tourist or only have very limited time to spend in Berlin, put this place on your to-go list! Make sure to take lots of time with you since the queue can be really long! Go here at night / queue is shorter during off-peak hours!

Tried the chicken durum and chicken kebab. Both were fantastic and the best kebabs/durums I have ever eaten. Not sure what sauce they use but it comes very nicely together. The potatoes in the kebab were well marinated. The bad side is that I went at 330pm and queued for almost 1hr 45 mins to get it :(

Arrived 13:37. Ordered at 14:46. Was it worth the wait? Absolutely! Bread was superb, lined with garlic and chilli sauce which was not too overpowering. Fresh salad and tender doner chicken meat. Topped with crumbly feta cheese with dill. Affordable price and not heavy at all. Could’ve easily had 2.

Definitely tastes different than the other döner shops I've tasted in Berlin. The line can be really long but it moves relatively quick. Definitely worth the price. Messy and not so elegant to eat, but that's all part of the experience!

I tasted Mustafa kebab first time at 2016 since I try to visit this place every time I’m visiting Berlin. I like that style of street food when meal is on the edge of usual street food and piece of gastronomic art It’s a taste of modern Berlin i think

  • 5/5 Daniela D. 2 years ago on Google
In my honest opinion, one of the best kebab I've ever had. Very aromatic, lots of great spices such as dill, feta cheese and it also has fries inside. What a delightful kebab only for 5,9€. I've also tried the veggie one and it's as good as the meat one to be honest, the sauce is different (I think a bit more spicey) and they put more fried potatoes.

Just had the highly recommended chicken kebab from here. It was worth the 45 minute wait. The ingredients were not as expected in a regular kebab but it was good. If you like to try a different kebab then this is the one.

  • 5/5 David T. 2 years ago on Google
The veggie kebab was great. Would try to get here early as the line does tend to get quite long starting around lunch time. If it’s beyond that point, I’d just walk away and try again another day. Delicious but not worth more than a 15m wait.

  • 4/5 Arunkumar S. 2 years ago on Google
The Döner was very tasty and different from regular ones because of the stuffed veggies. Meat was very juicy but the whole ingredients were oily. We had to wait in the line for 1.5 hours in the night even at 10:20 PM. We got the Döner only at 11:55 PM. Overall it was good.

  • 5/5 Franciszek S. 2 years ago on Google
We went here, because this place is ranked the best Kebap place in the whole Europe. Turns out, they’re not over exaggerating. The miracle Döner they make is an ultimate combination of meat, vegetables and spices. I don’t think I’ve ever eaten something better and I don’t even think I ever will. Never though I’d say this about a Kebap place, but they have achieved absolute perfection. It’s definitely worth the price as well as the waiting time, which for us (Thursday afternoon) was about an hour.

Yes, the reviews are all true. This is truly the best kebab I've ever had! Mustafa definitely uses more spices and herbs than other places, delicious grilled veggies which he mixes with the meat BEFORE adding it to the bread. It's really makes a difference. We got there at 1:50pm (10 minutes before opening time) and there was already a queue started. Our turn was at 3:15. To everyone who wants to go for lunch: go early!!! It opens at 2pm but get there at 1:30pm!!!

I have been tried so many kebabs from so many countries and the döner mit gemüse was the best one so far. Despite the 2h20 that I spent in the line, it was a good experience. Sometimes people in the line leave quickly to take a beer in the next store and some even buy some food from other places so they don't get hungry while waiting for the queue move. That's the price €7.10 + 2h20min.

  • 5/5 Marius 1 year ago on Google
We knew before coming that there will be queue, so we came prepared. We waited exactly 2 hours to have a bite of that amazing Dürüm and it's currently best kebab that I've had. Very high wait times as there is always a queue at the shop. The food is tasty and the bread is very crispy. However I do not know if it is worth the experience of waiting so long. Maybe the non-vegetarian options are great.

A negative interesting experience - we waited for 2.5h in the cold, only to find out that the meat finished...at us. We took a doner with "the remainings of the meat" and one veggie. It was ok but not worthing this time from your life...

It was good to see the coworkers genuinely smiling and happy from inside. They are not in a rush to give you some food that you could quickly grab and take away. They pick the ingredients with care and serve you the food with love. I guess any food prepared with such care and attention would taste amazing. I didn't mind waiting in the Que for about 50 mins. Don't go there when you are super hungry and want to quickly grab a bite. This is not some American fast food chain. This is Mustafas's Gemüse Kebap

  • 5/5 nail çağrı y. 11 months ago on Google
This renowned food joint is celebrated for its flavorful and innovative take on the traditional kebap, offering a culinary experience that embodies the vibrant spirit of the city. Pros: Innovative Flavors: Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap showcases a unique fusion of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern flavors, incorporating an abundance of fresh vegetables, aromatic spices, and succulent grilled meat, creating a harmonious explosion of taste that is both satisfying and memorable. Efficient Service: Despite the perpetual crowds, the efficient and friendly service ensures a streamlined ordering process, allowing patrons to enjoy their delectable kebaps without enduring excessive wait times. Value for Money: Considering the generous portion sizes and the quality of ingredients used, the pricing is reasonable, offering excellent value for money and making Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap an accessible culinary gem for both locals and tourists alike. Cons: Crowded Space: Given its immense popularity, especially during peak hours, securing a spot in the queue can be a time-consuming endeavor. However, the vibrant energy and the anticipation of the flavorsome kebap make the wait well worth it. Limited Seating: The scarcity of seating arrangements might require patrons to enjoy their kebaps on the go or find alternative spots nearby. Nevertheless, the bustling ambiance of the surrounding area adds to the charm of the overall experience. For a truly satisfying meal, I highly recommend trying their signature Gemüse Kebap, layered with a delightful array of grilled vegetables and tender meat, all topped with their delectable signature sauce. the best chicken donor kebab. they panini press the bread, use grilled veggies, and it was just a great combination of flavors. worth the wait? probably not again had I known it was going to be 2 hours. but worth the try at least once.
