Attention: the place only works with reservations. So call first! Being that said, this a small but nice Japanese restaurant with a 3 course menu for 23€ per person. The first plate is the bento box with some combinations of rice, salmon along with other things. I may confess it was good and different from a few bento boxes that I have tried. This is the only plate that you get one to each person. The second is the sliced beef with the vegetarian tiny burger. This you get a single olate to share with another person. The meat was very soft and tender, the point of the meat was perfect for me, but you see that it is medium. However the small burger got me, it was my favourite by far. In the end the dessert: A Belgian waffle with cream and strawberries. This was absolutely amazing, no words to describe, simply perfect! That's also one single plate to share. One small point to pay attention: you need to bring your own drinks, beer, juice, whatever.. Like i said the place is small and there's only one guy(he is really nice btw) doing everything. The reason for 4 stars? I think it was a bit pricey for everything. It was good but I guess it could be less than that, but that's just my opinion.

You need a stroke of luck or divine intervention to catch this place open, but boy is it worth it! The bowl is the absolute best, so many flavours partying together in my mouth. The owner is really nice and passionate about his food, and the décor is nerd heaven: Star Wars wallpaper, a fully stocked comic shelf and a Mega Drive running in the background. It's all kinda surreal, like stepping into another world, but in the best possible way.

What a phenomenal experience. Really cool spot. If you're into an unconventional, raw experience where the owner is personally taking care of you from the reservation, checking dietary needs, preparing, cooking, serving and describing what is presented in front of you, and such tasty and elaborate display of food with 3 courses... then this is for you. Had a really fun and romantic evening with bringing our own wine. Thanks! Looking forward to our next visit.

Its superb experience as it was 3 courses menu omakase style (surprise menu by the chef on the spot). The food itself was japanese fusion and all was super yum. Here you supposed to bring your own beverage with glass, because they dont sell any beverages. But we could storage our beverage in their fridge :). Please do reservation as they only accept limited guests per night and keep in mind it starts at the same time (be on time).

We had a great evening here - unfortunately the next time we came (with a confirmed reservation of course) the shop was closed and our calls/emails went unanswered. As we came with visitors only in town for a short while, this was a real shame. Still giving 3 stars as the food was very good and we enjoyed the concept - will give it one more try and hope for more reliability next time!

It is the best food I had tried in Berlin. The chef is super carismática, the food is delicious and the place has a very relaxed aura. I loved it.

1 star for great aesthetic, 2nd star for a damn good Gyoza. The other 2 great items on the plate, orange slices and edamame. Way too edgy for its own good. For starters, they put chips on the plate, and not home-made chips, we're talking out of the bag German knock-off doritos, under what looked like a mini bahn mi panini with either chicken or pork (not sure because it only tasted like orange). The eggplant tofu rice bite was soggy and overmayod. The salmon salad over rice was passable. The side salad of cabbage and more orange peel was unnecessary. Honestly feels like the whole thing is to appeal to the #gram and any Berliners that haven't had bona fide japanese food.

This place is incredible. It's pretty small and will host max 24 people. It's BYOD (Bring Your Own Drink). The host is also the chef and he's very entertaining. And the food.. Holy sh*t the food is good. Like really good. The flavors are so different and so well combined that you'll love every bit of it. And even though it doesn't look like much food, you'll be lost likely good at the end of the dinner. Price wise, we're talking between 20-25pp, which goes a long way with the qualify of food that you're having. Just awesome.

Tasty food, friendly owner and cozy place. Perfect for the lunch, 5 EUR for the bowl and 10 for the bento box. If you here for the first time, highly recommend to try the box.

Fantastic atmosphere, exceptional 3 course meal with a very entertaining and wonderful Chef. I would highly recommend Gobento.

I had an amazing food experience here!!! It was amazing, so many different flavors I’ve never tasted before. It’s a 3 meal course you don’t know what you get and all courses were top shelf! Also the Chef has a great taste of music. I’ll definitely come back again

Wow. For the price, this place is exceptional. So many complex flavours in one bowl, and so much deliciousness too. Most passionate food presentation I've ever had also! Owner is super hospitable and fun deco. Had to wait a while, but worth it.

Unfortunately, didn't meet expectations. The food is good but the combination of dishes I got (no menu) was a bit random and clear taste / balance missing. The owner is super nice but a bit disorganized.

The rice bowls are incredible. Such a great mix of flavors and textures. Aubergine rice thing was just out of this world.. The owner is super friendly and hospitable. Highly recommended!

Very disappointed. This used to be my favorite restaurant in Berlin and the chef is really nice but unfortunately he has no respect with the guests time... I made a reservation and when I arrived at the restaurant it was closed and he did not pick up the phone. By the reviews I can see this is a common practice for him. Even though the food is really good I will not be coming back. Really sad.

Bring your own drink!? How cool is that!!? As they have no menu, you are at the mercy of the chef for a 3 course Japanese meal. But don't worry, it's usually great! Only take booking so no walk-ins. The meal will set you back 23euros but I guess this depends on the items. Pretty reasonable if you ask me as you're saving on drinks for sure.

👍 The queue can get really long in a very short amount of time. We were lucky and waited for about 5 minutes before placing our order. The place was fully packed both inside and outside after we picked up our food. We got the original döner but I was unsure about the sauce they used. The sandwich was...
