An
afternoon
in
the
emergency
room
at
the
Charité/Mitte
-
Virchow
Hospital
for
family
reasons.
I
know
it's
a
bad
time
right
now
because
some
practices
are
said
to
be
closed.
(By
the
way,
all
my
doctors
are
open.)
But
I've
been
sitting
here
for
3
hours
waiting
for
my
family
member
to
be
examined
because
a
life-threatening
illness
has
developed.
What
I
experienced
during
this
time
is
truly
unimaginable.
The
disturbing
feelings
that
various
people
have
when
they
visit
the
emergency
room...
I
feel
sorry
for
the
team
in
the
emergency
room.
Of
course,
everyone
has
their
own
fate
that
sometimes
it
doesn't
mean
well
for
you.
And
yes,
I'm
not
a
doctor,
but
has
a
normal
visit
to
the
doctor
when
you
feel
unwell
become
out
of
fashion
or
a
visit
to
an
accident
doctor
for
a
twisted
foot?
And
yes,
when
the
relatives
are
involved
in
the
examinations,
it
takes
a
while,
even
a
whole
working
day.
We
want
our
loved
ones
to
be
properly
examined
and
cared
for.
It
doesn't
help
much
if
people
ask
what's
new
every
20
minutes.
A
laboratory
report
takes
time,
as
does
CT,
MRI
and
who
knows
what
else.
In
addition
to
the
many
emergency
rooms
here
on
campus,
there
are
also
normal
operations
with
visiting
patients.
And
yes,
if
we
have
to
wait
outside,
it's
really
stupid,
but
it
can't
be
helped.
It
doesn't
help
much
to
constantly
ask
for
exceptions
or
act
like
a
"husband/brother".
I
would
like
to
thank
the
emergency
room
team
for
their
incredible
and
tireless
calm,
patience
and
great
understanding!
You
have
my
respect
and
admiration!
