I believe that when a person wants to work in a hospital they should be fit to do so. The red hair nurse that I went to do the registration at the clinic was extremely rude and disrespectful. I kindly asked if it was possible for me to speak English and she declined, so I pulled out my phone to try and formulate the correct phrase to explain my issue. Mind you she didn’t even greet me and while I was translating the question she kept on complaining. One of her colleagues looked at me and told me that she understood English, but the other nurse told her that I must speak in German. All this happened after I had travelled 30 minutes to reach the clinic in great abdominal pain. I wasn’t expecting her to be so rude especially since I didn’t insist on speaking in English and was looking for a solution. The situation upset me so much that I was crying and of course she didn’t care at all. I got registered in the clinic by the other nurse while no one else seemed to care. My question is this: what was I supposed to do? I came here to get checked, not to be disrespect by the person that you would expect to take care of me. I was ready to cooperate and use a translator because I know that I should not feel entitled to only speak English. But on the other side I was met with hostility and mocking. I too have a job which is contact with people who don’t always speak German or English and I always make the effort to understand them and make them feel at ease. The difference is that I work in a restaurant, while she works in a hospital where people go when they feel at their worst. Do you see the issue here? Update: I contacted the clinic to report the incident and as a reply I got a very generic response, no kind of empathy. I bet the nurse didn’t get in trouble whatsoever and is probably still terrorizing the patients over there. Moral of the story is that if you can avoid going to this clinic it would be better, by the look of other reviews we can understand that they don’t do a good job and discriminate a lot. if this clinic is your only option make sure to go there with a German speaking person and maybe also a lawyer 😅😂

I came to the rescue center in severe pain and had waited from 3am to 8am, I asked a nurse to help me and she just smoked outside and didn't help at all! Absolutely bad review for this nurse. Definitely complaining. It was on February 26th and the nurse came in at 6am. Also compliments to the other doctors and nurses, every single one of them was great! 10.2023 Additional suggestion: Your hospital should strengthen nursing education and professional ethics improvement instead of reacting to every patient's bad complaint and poor review. Don't let some of them lack work ethic and bad attitudes to the detriment of most other good doctors and nurses!

The worst experience in my 54 years on this earth. I came into the emergency room vis a referral from my house doctor for heart issues. It started off well I was seen within 15 mins of check-in at admissions. I was then told I would be kept in a special ward overnight to do tests etc. But this was not the case. I ended up in the emergency corridor for almost 6 hours with no offer of water or food. When I made a complaint a junior doctor told me this is an emergency area and we don't have time to speak. He then told me that I don't stay in for tests and that I should wait. I'm lying here fully clothed with face mask on and heat is unbearable. I feel worse now than when I arrived. This is a disgrace. 16 years in Berlin and I'm shocked how bad this place is. Please look at other hospitals.

My daughter has broken her arm, and had an operation in this clinic. We stayed in 51 Station in Orthopädie. The staff is polite and professional, very attentive. They explained everything in details. The conditions in the room are comfortable and good.

Hospitals are always a bit strange, even if you just visit them. But this hospital was special. There was a lady at reception with language level B2 who answered my question about station 50: "Take the elevator at the front, then go up and walk to the end of the corridor." So far so good, station 51 is on the 4th floor, from there it's not far to 50, I thought. When we reached the third floor and the end of the hallway, things looked different. After asking the clinic staff three times, the ward was on the 1st floor and “it has moved.” But far from it, station 50 is on the 2nd floor and at the end of the corridor. I have never experienced something like that! Then the door to the nurse's office was closed and this door looked like all the others, so I walked past it twice, of course without my glasses. 🤔

Never again! The ER here is so incredibly rude and unhelpful. They are understaffed and completely incompetent. I will travel across the entire city to avoid ever coming here again. Unbelievably unprofessional. The “care” workers here constantly leave their posts to get coffee and chit chat with each other leaving nobody around to help. I expected to wait. It’s an ER. But the people were SO RUDE AND INCOMPETENT it was appalling. I’m m supposed to have an ultrasound and they took my blood. Sent me back to the waiting room. Called me back and then had no idea where I was supposed to go. Was passed around and shuffled off with nobody being able to help me. Then they took my temperature and sent me back in the waiting room where I am waiting still. I should also mention I have a lot of bad pain in my leg and they keep making me walk around in circles for nothing while they sit and gossip with each other and sip their drinks and ignore the patients. I also now have arm pain from the worst ever inserted IV port. No empathy. No civility even. Just awful. Edit: still one star overall but at least the doctor I saw was competent and kind. And when I was transferred out of the ER the people were nice.

I went here for a minor operation at the weekend. They checked me out on Friday and I was in the operating room on Saturday morning. I explained that I spoke English better and the doctors and nurses and everyone really tried their best. I was nervous, of course, and the people were kind and reassuring. Also, the response when I pressed buttons to call nurses later was very quick. I am very grateful to have received top quality healthcare. One thing I noticed is that the taps inside the toilet in the emergency waiting room were a little dirty, and that I had to carry a sample past 3 or 4 other patients which didn't feel as hygienic as it could have been.

Worst experience ever. I went to emergency with high fever and very bad abdomen pain. The lady at the reception was very rude and asked me to come in the evening for no reason. I specifically mentioned I was in very bad pain and I couldn't even walk properly. She plainly ignored. Negative vibes and least caring.

We were told that this is an expat friendly hospital for child birth but unfortunately that is not the case. While the hospital has good infrastructure, but in the end what matters is how the staff (midwives) behaves and takes care of the mother and the child. Barring 1 or 2, all other midwives are unfriendly and non-cooperative, and always have one rant to say - "We are loaded with work!" (even when only 3-4 rooms have patient in them). My wife had an unplanned C-section and doctors did a great job, but as soon as we reached our room, it was a nightmare. The midwives know English, but will still always converse in German - at the time of registration we had made it clear that we will only come if we get to deal with English speaking midwives, else we had other options as well. Then, there was an Asian midwife in the night who was rude and unhelpful to my wife, even on her first day after C-sec - she made my wife sit on the toilet seat, but then went away and said that do not ring the bell - how is the person supposed to come off the seat and go to their bed with 20+ stitches on their belly! Then, I had taken home cooked food for my wife (chicken soup) so that she could recover faster as the food served at the hospital was not good as per our preference (some may like it), and at dinner time, my wife requested the same midwife to help warm the food in the microwave which is in a nearby kitchen (approx. 100 steps from our room), but she declined to help and said she has too many patients to look after, and asked my wife to go on her own - a women denying to help another women with who just had her belly taken apart and needs to rest to let the stitches heal! You can decide yourself if this was fair or not, and who would've been responsible had my wife fallen down or something worse! Then after this episode, we requested for family room and they out-righted said not available even without checking, but then I spoke to the patient in the family room right in front of us and they had a normal delivery on they same day and did not actually require much help or the room, as against us, where my wife needed constant help with the baby, her stitches, and washroom assistance. So would not recommend to come here if you foresee in any way having to depend on the midwives for help. Lastly, if your body needs 2 days to recover, after having the food here you can add 2 more days as the food for us was really bad and not something we will have even on a regular day, let alone giving to a person recovering from a child birth - attaching a picture for proof. This was even after my wife had gestational diabetes, and we told them that having this food will spike her Sugar levels, which is what happened - but the midwives couldn't care less about you or your health. Overall, would not recommend to anyone for child birth and go to another hospital, especially if you are a expat.

The woman who is usually at reception, a blonde middle aged woman with glasses, is downright hostile to anyone who doesn’t speak German. I have been very polite, ready to use my Google translate and she is extremely confrontational demanding why I don’t speak German since I am in Germany. This is the second time it has happened with the same woman so it’s not like I caught her on a bad day. She is purposefully dismissive, unhelpful and anti-immigrant and should NOT be working reception dealing with people in crisis who already feel vulnerable. My short interaction with her left my heart racing and hands shaking. I’m only in Germany for six months and I happen to speak three other languages so I don’t need this kind of judgement and hostility from a small-minded, xenophobic, rude woman, when I am already facing a health issue. She makes vulnerable, sick people feel worse, and she is the first person people encounter at your hospital! Then after all this, I hear her speaking perfect English to the next customer. It’s like because my ID says I’m in Germany for 6 months she thinks it’s her job to shame me and refuse to speak English. Just an incredibly horrible human being you have working as the first person people encounter.

Racist staff. Apparently if you visit Berlin as a tourist without speaking German and you get sick you can't expect to be treated with any compassion or respect, or even in fact treated at all. Do these people working here speak the language of every country they visit when they go on holiday? Or do they perhaps never leave Germany because they think they are so so superior to everyone else? Why these people decided to work in medicine I have no idea because they have zero compassion, care or interest in helping anyone. Also the doctor who spoke to me should be removed from practice because he told me that a booster rabies vaccine after a scratch from an animal able to carry rabies in a country where rabies is present is not an emergency and can be done in 2 weeks! The WHO guidance is very clear that it should be done asap ideally on the day of the bite and then again three days after. 2 weeks is the time it takes for the vaccine to become effective. He also told me he would look at the scratch first and then send me someone else for the vaccine of necessary. This is idiotic you cannot tell if rabies has been passed by looking at the scratch or cut you just have to have the vaccine, if you wait to get any symptoms then you are dead there is no treatment it is very simple. He also shouted at me when I explained I need it really soon as it is already now 48hours because I had to travel, it happened soon before my flight and then I was travelling for 24hrs and then had to sleep before being able to get to the hospital. He shouted at me apparently expecting that I should have cancelled my 600 euro flight and stayed in Indonesia and also cancelled work responsibilities I was returning to all to get a very simple booster vaccine you can get anywhere, just because it far too much trouble for him to treat me here. In the end they told me I needed to go somewhere else, which made the fifth place to be sent to that day, they insisted it was open, and I could get it there, I made another half hour journey it wasn't. So I still don't have the rabies booster. No ethics here whatsoever.

It is the worst emergency hospital I ever experienced as a foreigner! I come from Lebanon which is considered a third country in Germany. Well, I discovered how much my country is professional, clean and organized more than German hospitals. After my experience in the emergency room in that hospital in Friedrichshain I cannot believe that the German health ministry is allowing it to be active under all the unprofessional and racist staff. I've arrived to emergency door with pains on the heart side symptoms of a heart attack.. and the security guy was very ignorant and talking on his mobile phone and ran after me with his cigarette to the door of the hospital to ask me about my passport id in very rude attitude! After that, the nurse on the information desk was very ignorant, rude and racist bcs I don't speak German fluently and bcs I am a foreigner. I had to wait 10 hours until the doctor just make his check up on me waiting in the most unhygiene emergency room... however, to be fair the nurse guy was friendly their and speaks english.. but that do not heal your pain and illness.. stay away from this aweful place..

If you want to survive just don‘t go there! I have never experienced something like that in my life even a third world country will do a better job. the lack of organisation and professionalism is high. The security guy litteraly told us to go home even with note from the doctor ... and when I said it is serious the guy just said then go to an other hospital... wow

READ THIS IF YOU DON'T SPEAK GERMAN! They discriminate you if you don't speak German even if you give them a paper with your symptoms written in their language. They did not want to register me and I was dying, a German who was behind me in the queue in perfect condition and writing on his laptop was attended really soon and I was told to come back in two hours, the nurse did not even register me, I had to be helped by a young German who felt sorry to see me suffering. If it wasn't for him I wouldn't even have been registered. Discrimination in emergencies is not human.

DO NOT GO THERE EVEN IF YOU CAN'T WALK ON YOUR TWO LEGS !!! -------------------------------- I have never (and I really mean it!) experienced an hospital ER service like the one I had tonight, in Germany or abroad. I came for a dislocated shoulder. The admission told me that my name would be called shortly. I am happy to wait as I believe that despite the pain, some other people might suffer more acute case. Not a single patient name was called in 3 hours, no one was checked by a nurse or a doctor. Not a single patient went out from the waiting room. Patients are left completely ignored by the staff for hours in the waiting room. A woman sitting nearby and clearly in pain with a broken ankle tells me she is waiting there for 4 hours; another man answers us that he is there for 5 hours. I come back to the admission to ask about the waiting time; the person at the desk looks at me, sorts some papers and simply ignores me. I leave the hospital after 3 hours in the waiting room: I have not seen any doctor or nurse. Outside the ER service, lots of staff laughing, smoking cigarettes and having coffees together. This service should be investigated by german health authorities; there are some obvious management issues.

(Translated by Google) The word "catastrophe" is a trivialization of the organization in this hospital. I was there twice last week. First in the high blood pressure clinic. I first went to the patient admission area in the entrance area, where I was told that I was wrong there and then "showed me the way", which turned out to be wrong. So I wandered haphazardly through this juggernaut of the hospital for 15 minutes until I finally got where I should be. The man on the ward I was dealing with is called Björn and is a real joker. Saying churning below the belt, someone with less humor than me could react a little indignantly there. Professionally, there is another way. Blood pressure was measured, then I had to wait 30 minutes and the blood sample, corona smear and urine sample continued. When I got in to the chief doctor, he gave me the choice - come in a few weeks on an outpatient basis or as an inpatient at the weekend. Since my values were very high, I chose the latter on his recommendation. So I came in on Friday, when the entire inability of the organization in this hospital was revealed. At first I was told again in the patient admission that I was wrong. This time I had to go to KS1. Then I was shown the wrong way AGAIN - the staff in the patient admission are apparently completely incompetent and do not know their way around the hospital in whose administration they sit. When I got to KS1 the drama continued - at first I was ripped off. An optional service contract was turned on me, which allegedly can be terminated at any time - a bold lie, because THAT DOESN'T WORK on the weekend because no one from the administration is there! Of course I didn't know that at the time and stayed there. I got into a double room, which cost me 82 euros a day. Then it turned out that my corona result from Wednesday was not there !! So they put me in another room, 2 hours quarantine. You have to admit it - in a global pandemic with a deadly virus, a HOSPITAL does not ensure that all patients who enter a ward have a negative test result. Absolutely negligent! Then it went on. The test result was there at some point and was negative. I already knew that from Wednesday, but I couldn't prove it and there was NOTHING about me in the system. Accordingly, I had to enter all my data, my weight, etc. 3 times that day, because there is no flow of information in this hospital. An absolute tragedy. Then I asked what they were going to do with me. THEY DIDN'T KNOW! And as if that weren't enough, the resident told me - who messed up my pants because he was unable to properly access the access and I bled all over my pants! - that nothing will happen here on the weekend. This guy told me cheekily, I should stay over the weekend anyway. For nothing. I told him my pregnant wife is at home with two dogs, I can't leave them alone for so long if nothing happens here anyway. He was absolutely not interested in that, I should stay there anyway. You can not be serious! I sat there for hours (and paid 82 euros for the room) for NOTHING. At some point I was told to do a CT. I couldn't be guaranteed that it would happen that day, but it did, after all. A 24 hour urine test was also ordered. What for? The nurse didn't know either, but I know exactly why: To get even more money out of my pocket! In the evening I came to the normal ward because the 82 euros would have been too expensive for me for the next day. Then the real horror started there. It is logical that there must be a difference between KS and normal ward. But that was a different world. Inhumane. I would write more, but I'm running out of signs. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! IT'S AN IMPRESSION!

I went their in emergency pain with my second miscarriage . It’s really heartbreaking 💔 already inside and pain , wait early morning 7-8 am around for appointments but reception duty might be changed or something else their is nobody, I press their buttons and some any helper assistance with cute young brown hair Women come and asked - reason - we explained situations our then she said - why are you walking like this ? - I said it’s miscarriage and it’s painful horrible situations in I am . She said go to your gynaecologist - I said it’s situations emergency so I came here - Large discussion their finally after 15-20 minutes they said you can wait in waiting area like horrible 2-4 hours taking theirs . Next time she said miscarriages happens go to your gynaecologist not come here - what I thought this is situations for emergency actually - sometimes night or early mornings or Saturday Sunday gynaecologist clinic is not open they guide us if anything happens go to emergency hospitals. Really heartless person I saw in my life here with assistant helper- then again they take blood test - I thought this for HCG Level checkup for miscarriage and they gave me which one is my blood type report- if they asked I have my own blood type report card internationally ℹ️ . Then 2-4 hours this blood injection holder on my hand why I don’t know 🤷‍♀️ it’s really stupid painful 😓 then my waiting time is over Assistenzärztin Frau schlothauer - help us to checkup and she is nicely treating and 👍 speaking English is good . I requested if some people not understand German very well so in English explain why are you taking blood test and rude behaviour reception handling person in pain people with miscarriage can’t walk like as models it’s feel bad so treat as humanity . HCG level must checkup in pregnancy or miscarriage but it’s not checked their so I don’t understand why .Really heartbreaking 💔 system I feel with miscarriage.

Lovely looking modern hospital, with no staff, probably on permanent tea breaks. Waited 30 minutes to register to be seen and still no one came. Talking to people who had been in the waiting area for 6 hours in terrible pain and had not been even seen by a triage nurse. We left to go to a different hospital 20 minutes away. My daughter had to get stitches and we where home 2 and half hours later. Waste of time this Time this A & E! We would probably be still there now waiting to be seen.

I never write reviews but this is for the greater human good: if you can walk on your two feet, never go to the ER here for the following reasons: 1. I waited for 5hrs to see a doctor who told me I would need to wait another 1-4hrs to know my complication 2. I was shocked how my blood was taken. The one taking it was not wearing a mask, nor gloves - put alcohol on my arm and then touched it again with his bare hands before sticking the needle in. Then, after taking the blood, told me I would be ok with the bloody cotton used to stop the bleeding: no band-aid or any other type of coverage 3. Everyone was rude and not empathetic - quite phenomenal really Feel free to go if you want to experience how amazingly bad any experience could be but be aware that people have tried stopping you for a reason...

Vivantes - is BIG. But it is very efficient. You need to come a little bit early, to make all paperwork in advance, (about 15 minutes), and You need to find the right building, there are a lot, (5 minutes). There is a full set of all possible medical services. Dermatologist Department is in building 12, on the first floor. Professor Doctor Wiebke Ludwig-Peitsch. She is amazing. Very helpful, very experienced, very friendly, with perfect English language.

Very professional and helpful. They were able to help me a lot. However, you quickly realize that many patients confuse the rescue center with a normal visit to the doctor.

I had a traumatic delivery there. And not just delivery. The whole stay there was terrible. I ended up with an unnecessary four day induction at 38 weeks (that didn't work) and a c section because doctor said that the baby is too big (she was 3800g, which is not to big at all). After delivery, the baby didn't want to breastfeed. And instead bringing lactation consultant, or giving me a pump or a formula, they let my baby scream hungry for two days (because the "nurses" had a theory that baby will suck if she's hungry enough). It didn't work, of course. That all resulted in jaundice, which, according to them was fine, and even though I wanted to stay another day till the baby's condition stabilises a bit, they didn't let me. All in all, don't go there.

As many more said earlier: If you have another option DON’T go there if you are foreigner. In the UK many of these doctors and nurses would have their licenses suspended. Unbelievable racism, coming from a STATE institution!

You can usually tell the quality of management by observing the front-line personnel: if they feel respected and valued, their quality of work tends to reflect this. That said, they must be tortured here... because 90% of them were insufferable. Not a pleasant three weeks.

My girlfriend had very bad couch for 5 days and fever. She tested negative for corona and she thought it might be bronchitis. We went there and the lady at the emergency heard her and almost screamed at her and said they are full and to come back the next day. Probably they were full but that's unacceptable the way they speak to a patient. It's Totally unacceptable.

Worst medical experience in my life. I was there yesterday complaining about pain and after 6 hours I got to talk to a doctor, who by the way didn't even look me in the face, she gave me nothing but a recommendation to a dermatologist, even though I told her that I didn't think I had any problem with my skin. Today I came back there to see the dermatologist and she said exactly what I said. The dermatologist then told me to get there to the emergency and pass with a neurologist because of the pain. I registered myself again, after 11 hours of waiting today and having asked for information 4 times, I finally demanded some explanation. To my surprise they told me that I had been dismissed 8 prior and that I there was no new registration for me. I asked them what should I do. The man with a long white beard told me I should Google a neurologist. After 11 hours waiting there!!!! I asked him how could this happen? I was given the wrong diagnostic, then the wrong information and then they didn't even bother to tell me that I had been dismissed. Unbelievable. I told them that they colleagues make a mistake, I spoke with 3 different people in those many hours that I was there and they all told me to wait (none of them told me that I had been dismissed, 3 different people in 3 different times). The man then told me that it was not his problem, that I should leave and that he was going to call the security on me (for trying to explain that 3 different people had given me wrong information). I couldn't believe the lack of respect. I left shouting how disrespectful they were and how they don't know what they are doing. Next time I'd rather stay at home and die, at least I'd get to keep my dignity.

(Translated by Google) Ward 6 - ENT - hospital stay due to surgery January 2020 I can highly recommend the entire ENT team after my stay. Miss Dr. medical Marta Straube and her team performed the not uncomplicated operation very well. As a patient, I felt that I was in good hands both during the preliminary consultations and during the aftercare on ward 6 and was treated in a friendly manner. The doctors took away my fears and transparently accompanied every step. The nursing staff was always friendly, willing to provide information, patient and helpful. A special thank you to the team on the ward - it was nice with you (apart from the occasion...) My room was very modern and clean. The food was ok and was put together daily by a menu consultant on request. And yes - for me the food in the hospital doesn't have to taste like the pizza at my favorite Italian restaurant on the sun terrace - I was here primarily because of an illness :) In summary: I would be treated / operated on here again at any time. Hats off to how professionally and smoothly the team handles the daily routine - thanks for the good nerves and patience. I wish everyone here the best. Thank you again.

Worst attention I’ve ever had in a hospital, of all countries I’ve lived. I went to emergency room because I couldn’t walk because of a back pain. Not only they did nothing, but the nurse told me “this is an emergency room where people who are dying come, don’t ever come again with a back pain” You call yourself a nurse?! There were people in the waiting room with all different sources of pain (Not in a life-threatening way!), but back pain isn’t good enough for you? I COULDN'T walk. I’m not sure if it was because I was an expat, a women or a person of color, but this definitely is not the place you can go to get a good treatment and trust the medical staff. Edit: Their reply to this is even more ridiculous and insulting. Is it just this hospital or the whole Germany that acts different than other countries? Everywhere in the world you go to the hospital to be treated.... but in Germany you can only go when you're dying? Thanks I guess... lesson learned.

I would first start off by stating that if you are employed by a hospital it is your job to respectfully care for the individuals that come to the hospital. Otherwise please find another profession. This hospital is probably one of the worst hospitals I've ever experienced. My partner was rushed to this hospital on the 26th of July and had to have an emergency surgery. No one spoke english. Please explain how a hospital with its current staff and no one spoke any other language besides german. There were no translators on hand. Every hospital in the world has multilingual staff or translators, as they understand that within a hospital many different types of people from other parts of the world, who speak other languages will visit the hospital. Some of those people like my partner who does not reside in Germany. On top of the language barrier the staff was extremely rude. The only professional, caring individual was the actual surgeon. Who performed the surgery but we never saw her again. After the surgery none of the nurses could actually tell us what the issue was. My partner had surgery around 11pm on the 26th. The very next morning nurses came into her room that she was sharing with another person shoving invoices in her face with an exorbitant amount and was trying to get her to transfer the money on the spot. They did this multiple times during her 4 day stay. They failed to explain the fees and even told us it was an estimate and that it actually was less but that the hospital would refund the difference. No, this is unacceptable. You don't come into someones room after they've just had surgery and try to coerce them into transferring any monies over. I told them no and to send a proper invoice to us. They then took my partner down to have a CT scan, she was gone for 4hrs and every-time I asked a nurse what was her status no one could give me an answer. For 2hrs they had her waiting in the hallway for a CT scan that took 25 minutes. After the CT scan they had her wait in the hallway again for another 2hrs before she had to ask a nurse if someone could take her back to her room. There was so much more that happened but I will be writing a formal complaint in writing. Germany has one of the worst health systems I've ever experienced.

I felt bad and was scared to death. I thought: Is this the time that I had thought about so often in my life? “How” and “when” the time comes when the time comes. All of a sudden and suddenly I was outside myself and could only see, feel and hear myself from the outside. I still managed to dial 112. 3 people were the first to save me, a woman, 2 men. I thank you for that. When I arrived here at the Friedrichshain hospital, I gradually lost my fear of death and my true distress came back into my consciousness. Nothing like this had ever happened to me before. The entire team here in this house sticks together and has kept something deep in their hearts. Love. Maybe it sounds exaggerated. I could feel it because I didn't have much of it myself anymore. You protected me and for that I thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

The A&E Reception (Anmeldung) is the worst I have seen in a very long time. Inhumane treatment, as if you are bothering and spoiling their evening. Makes me wonder what they think they are here for. And yes, they are super understaffed and probably very stressed because of it, but that’s no way to treat another person. Shame on you.

(Translated by Google) If you have decided on a palliative care, you are actually like copied. Nobody tells you what to expect in this way. CT for diagnosis confirmation is not done, although firmly agreed. Signatures are brought up to the last minute, even though you are there for several hours every day. Shortness of breath is dismissed with a shrug of the shoulders or pushed onto the following device. In my eyes, education is very poor. You are almost only congratulated on the decision that you made a palliative and that's it. It was relocated with acute bleeding from the ureter. Get no info about it. If that is part of it, it is normal, maybe she pulled the catheter again ..... Somehow can't believe it all. Care was always very friendly and tried hard despite the heavily filled station. That with the CT not running makes me really sad. They're just old people. You don't need everything anymore. Way too expensive.... It's a shame how people deal with their own. Another addition: My mother-in-law in Spee died there about 6 years ago at the ITS. And instead of asking the Plenipotentiary, what should be done, she was sent away. Placing a ZVK was more important. The end was that we couldn't say goodbye to her.

(Translated by Google) The child rescue center is completely overwhelmed and understaffed. A bell should be rang when registering and whoops a disheveled roaring dragon comes out of the door and asks how one dare to disturb it. There is currently a baby to be looked after and we should come back in 30 minutes at the earliest. The reason for visiting a child rescue center was not asked. Arm off? Shortness of breath? A shame for all good institutions of medicine and the often great work of nurses and doctors. Don't go if you need help urgently! Bad. A Kafkaesque experience marked by a senseless, disorienting, often bizarre and unnecessary complexity. Unfortunately 0 stars is not an option so I'll have to settle for 1. Short story: Waiting in the emergency waiting area for 6 hours with absolutely no indication or information as to when we would be attended to nor as to what the reason was for the extended waiting time. About 4 hours in was I asked to come in to have my vitals taken and was then told that the doctors are busy but I will be looked after shortly. Another 2 hours pass. Nothing. Got up and left as did several others.

If I could leave 0 stars I would, because it is unfair to rate a service something other than 0 when a service wasn't even provided. I went there with my partner who has an infection and is literally leaking pus, and the nurse at the front desk refused to admit her, sent us home and told us to google a doctor who could help. How can such an inhumane individual work in healthcare of all fields is beyond me.

LESSONS LEARNED EXPAT FRIENDS Don’t have medical emergencies in Germany until you learn fluent German. Ganz einfach! Wirklich! The only time you should go to a German hospital is when an ambulance could have just taken you. Think: fork in your eye. bike accident. giving birth. Anything less severe can be PLANNED and therefore SCHEDULED ELSEWHERE. Don’t waste your time! Vereinbaren that schmerzen hunny. the long story: I had a bike accident last year and went here. the experience was pretty quick, thorough, and uncomplicated. most all of this in german, with english when it was needed. and, even friendly. In comparison, I had some heart rhythm issues today and was encouraged to get it checked out urgently. this was the opposite experience: 8 HOURS of waiting. a horrible intercom system where so many patients got lost or missed their call. a “report and findings for treatment” that suddenly became “report isn’t ready keep waiting”. and all of this ended with the always in-style: “Sie wohnen im Deutschland Sie müssen Deutsch sprechen!” at this point i gave up. it was no longer about if i could or couldn’t get my point across or what was ready or not, but the empathy on the other end. german health workers seem continually exhausted, so it’s sad this is the level of tension in the room. I left and never got my results and it’s “not possible to mail them” so i can only assume i’ll be ok—I know they’ll definitely find a way to mail the bill. 😘

This is absolutely worst experience ever in a European health care system. My partner fell in a shower on her head. We called emergency and she is supposed to get ct scan of brain. To have a ct scan after such an injury is already big enough problem. But the staff of the place. Partner is waiting already for 3 hours. Nobody will tell you anything. She doesn't speak well German, nor English. So I asked if I could go to her and be with her, support her. Answer was simply no. Then her phone died, I talked again ti the staff and the answer was simply, she can survive without a phone. Then I walk outside the waiting room and what do I not see? Bunch of doctors sitting, smoking cigarettes, laughing a nd probably mocking my girlfriend for crying, since she is in different country, she doesn't speak well in any of languages they speak in. NEVER COME IN HERE, EVEN IF YOU ARE DYING, JUST NEVER COME IN HERE!!!!

I understand that a lot is unexpected when it comes in emergency rooms, specially that you receive different cases with different severities at unexpected times. However, if they make you wait 7 hours when you have hit your head and need a CT scan, then there is something wrong. Even inquiring only twice, in a 7-hour wait, why haven't I been admitted till now to have a scan, I get rude stuff telling me that I don't bleed so it is fine!! And that I am lying, and have only been waiting here for 3 hours (only 3 hours! even that is not acceptable). Even when checking the system and knowing that I have indeed been waiting for 7 hours, they accept to do the scan, with still the stuff being rude (as if it is a requirement for working in an emergency room). Even when the scan was done, the doctors don't seem totally competent. First, they tell me I have a fracture above my eye, then 45 minutes later they come back and tell me that it is merely a bruise and I only need to put ice on it. Again, I understand that in emergency rooms there are a lot of factors at play, and that maybe the hospital is understaffed, but if you lack a fair system to admit people, being polite when dealing with patients and competent doctors, then I am definitely missing something! And that prompts me to question as to where does the money being paid for health insurance go?

If I could rate this ER as a 0 I would. Had a note from my GP to go to the ER immediately. I arrive at the door and hit the buzzer and I’m refused entry. The reason: I could not tell her my diagnosis in German over the intercom. When I told her I had a note and needed help she hung up. Not once BUT twice! I had to sneak in behind the paramedics to get in. Once I arrive inside she has thee worst attitude. I wish my GP never recommend this place. It is the worst hospital I have ever been to. Ever. I get it. This is your country, speak your language. But why should that matter in a facility that’s meant to help people.

I was driven to this place by the ambulance after almost fainting at home being on the 18th week pregnancy. It took 1hr before they were able to take blood test and measure my pressure. The male nurse who is apparently with the hospital since Jan tried to get into my perfectly visible veins twice on both hands and failed 🤯 I never had an experience with smb that incapable. After that he offered two other colleagues to try—they refused and suggested another male nurse ( Alex?) who is apparently good with it. The incapable one even was suggesting to his colleagues to maybe let me go home if I want to without taking any tests. Like is it a joke?! The other (capable) male nurse made the blood test so smoothly on the first attempt—he is the only reasons why this place gets a 2nd star. So 3 wholes in the arms—1 series of blood test—those guys nailed it. And then another 2,5 hrs of waiting and guess what? Nothing. I talked to the nurse from the new shift and she said that seeing a doctor to interpret the blood test results may take another 30minutes or 1–2 hours—nobody knows. After consulting her colleagues, they let me go home without signing any papers. They also recommended me to call them around 6am if I still would like to have the blood results. 👍🏻 To sum it up: this is my first hospital visit jn Germany for the past 8years, I’ve always been employed and my contribution to the healthcare system is 850€ per months. What I get for this is waiting 3.5hrs in the waiting room full of 50% addicts or alcoholics, 40% the elder people who are half conscious and 10% younger people. Unless you are dying dont go to this place, if you are not in an obvious serious condition, nobody would care—you’ll just get worse waiting there. Update on my review: The Rettungstelle is now getting 1 star due to me calling them at 6am (as the nurse advised) for 1hr non-stop to get the blood test results. Guess what? Nobody picks up! I tried everything possible: calling directly, being redirected from the central line, nothing works. Nobody picks up. Imagine you have smb in critical condition there—you will never get any information about what’s going. This place is a complete sh*t show and extremely poorly managed!

Terrible experience at the A&E here due to the way I was treated by the GP on call (white German woman in her 50s). She started yelling at me that I was wasting her time as soon as I started trying to explain my symptoms and refused to read the referral document I had. She didn't listen, kicked my partner out of the consultation room and made snide remarks like "I don't know how it works where you're from, but in here Germany ..." It was shocking to be in a time of need and be "treated" by a medical professional so dismissive and lacking in empathy.

I was lying in supposedly “house” number 8, or rather a mental hospital, etc. I should probably give 1 star and write a bad review, but it’s hard to say that everything is so bad, the food is not very good, just bread, and for lunch they bring it at random, although there is a certain plan that the patient makes. In principle, there are no repairs either, but they are not ruins and are already pleasing. The school is good in any case, better than in civilian life. The orderlies are good, but there are angry, offended personnel. The therapists are not great, but they help and they are crazy....,.................................

Worst experience in the hospital, in ward 21 orthopedic surgeon gave us an appointment at 7am we were there on time and waited for 2 and a half hours (in a working day) and when we couldn't wait and asked when the operation would be , we were treated very badly and were told that the doctor wants the patients to arrive at 7 a.m. and wait for them for 6 to 8 hours (not making this up) I was shocked and when I asked why I was told it was just like that If you don't want to wait, you can just go. BTW we were the only patients there, there were almost 10 nurses who didn't do anything the whole time and just chatted together and I don't think the doctor was in the house at all. The nurses were disrespectful to us and very unprofessional and when I couldn't stand it I just went home. Vivantes are always like that. I don't recommend anyone to go there. I can't believe that such unprofessional people would work in such a sensitive area.

TOP ambulance. Never experienced such effective, friendly, competent service on a weekend! From admission to meeting: friendly, quick, professional. There were also very special cases on the agenda that certainly put a lot of strain on the team. Nevertheless, you felt welcome and looked after at all times. Attentive staff. Waiting area pleasant with two drinks/snack/coffee machines. Crutches were organized for me because I couldn't borrow any (I'm not from Berlin) The doctor not only had the correct diagnosis quickly but also had a relaxed, humorous manner. Gladly never again. But if so, then here.

Hope to never need this institution ever again. Having to beg to have our rights for treatment and being in stressful moments, this seems to be the right place. Disrespectful staff, including doctor at emergency laughing at the situation. Lack of attention from almost them all (a few exceptions apply). Having the surgery being pushed more than 4 times while the patient already in pain COULD NOT EAT FOR OVER 24 hours. Waiting for the surgery and no one from staff to let us know when it would be pushed again because they could never make it...and just standing there for hours until being moved to another room then again: lack of communication and sympathy from the nurses and doctors for something that actually costs our pockets a lot of money. We never want to be in this position again, to depend on such treatment from what people call it a hospital in a capital. Unbelievable and very saddening. Do not wish it to anyone. I’m sorry for all the other bad reviews that have not being heard and they keep this horrible service in practice.

(Translated by Google) I'm breaking a lance for this hospital! I had to get my son here because it was the closest hospital to us and I would never have made it to the hospital where we were registered (Helios book). I felt well looked after and looked after from the start. All the midwives, nurses and doctors were very nice and looked after us well. I never felt like I was unwanted. We had no stress in the delivery room, and were even able to admire and get to know our little miracle after the birth. It was also clean everywhere, our room was cleaned several times a day. Even the food was quite tasty.

Never ever ever ever come here if you are having an emergency. Please, stay away from this place and leave to another hospital to the ER. Trust me, you will spend 5 hours at least and you will get nothing for your pain and they will probably leave you waiting as much as they can. Stay away!

First there are NO people in case of emergency registration rooms. Ese gives an emergency car and I asked someone if there was someone. You told me "go inside, there is someone". But there is nobody. I have to wait at the end and the nurse is aggressive when I ask something. I've been vomiting all night and have diarrhea. She asks "Why don't you go to the pharmacy?" and does NOTHING except measure my temperature. I finally have to go home myself and called 116117. The doctor from 116117 is very nice, comes to my home and gave me a 10g MCP Ratiopharm. I also went to Charite once for eating poison. She gave me an intravenous injection and gave me paper so I could go to the pharmacy. But in Vivantes she doesn't do anything. You can die because of it even though you are young. Please look at the news "JusticePourNaomi" ... she is only 22 years old and died because of clinic do nothing. One should be more careful !! Horrible experience and really a lot of incompetence. The staff spends more time to trying to avoid responsibilities discharging on each other like a ball game. I am talking for personal experience but I am not the only one: a friend had to travel back to his hometown because of the misleading staff and lack of coordination. If you need a hospital in Berlin, definitively avoid this one, terrible staff.

The negative reviews here made me very reluctant to come to the emergency room, but I obviously had to go out of pure necessity. I was very nervous but I actually had a fairly positive experience as an English speaker. I registered with a kind person who did his best to communicate with me, and I filled in the blanks with my limited German skills. I’m grateful for medical employees who try to make that effort! The nurse and doctor were both friendly and helpful as well. Cons: I came after midnight during the week, and the registration process was confusing for me. I rang the bell at random and waited for about 1.5 hours before I was able to register.

I wish I could give 0 stars. Once we arrived in the Kinderrettungstelle, which had a long line, the driver of the ambulance said “all the pediatricians are closed, and they come all here”. AS IF someone was there for fun! All the families were very worried with their kids, and having to wait from 7 to 9 hours to get an x-ray and diagnostic. After giving up on waiting (after 4 hours, and hearing we had to stay another 4) we decided to go. I asked to get the documents that our pediatrician had sent, and they refused. The security lady came and laughed at us, with the other nurses. I never felt so mistreated! I was with my 6 year old son, who had a broken foot. We left without any treatment. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!

I went to the emergencies for stitches and a broken arm I was scared by the bad reviews while waiting but my doctor was surprisingly very nice. The only issue was the big waiting time but the staff is most likely overworked so it’s understandable. They were always running around, they weren’t slacking off or anything. Great treatment. The low rating is probably because the people that were treated well forget to leave a review, but the ones that were annoyed by something never forget

It has been 2 years since I gave birth to my son at this hospital - i still don't have the strength to write this review as it deserves. In summary i can say this: 1.After an unplanned c-section and during Covid I left as fast as i could, not even 48hrs later. 2. It has traumarised me and my son and has left scars that we are still trying to heal, especially my son. 3. I left the hospital crying with a nervous breakdown due to how badly the midwifes treated me (all this whilst carrying my son in the car seat + my hospital bag WITH NO HELP with fresh stitches from the c-section less than 48hrs later) 4. My son has been scared for life. 5. I just wish I had the names of the nurses...So much anger still towards this place and to an experience that is so important and that every mother will always remember. :(

Worst service from nurses that I have ever experienced!! We came in because of unbearable pain from a severe ear infection and were disregarded the moment we arrived at the reception. My sister was crying because of the pain and no one did anything but disregard her pain and ignore her cry for help! Receptionists were unfazed by her pain and problems. Absolutely disgusting and unacceptable! It is a sunday for crying out loud, nothing is open, no way of receiving medication or treatment and then when you’re strongly advised to go to the emergency room you are faced with this.

At first super friendly staff member and the screen said waiting time estimate 51mins. Then they let at least 50 people in before me who arrived after me. Understanding they have this color system, I thought I’d be patient, but I ended up waiting 3,5 hours and leaving. They seem to have short staff and not a proper system in place. Would only recommend to go if you have a lot of time and snacks.

I was recently rushed to ER. Within 30mins, I completed the registration & blood draw procedures. Subsequently, both an assistant & a senior Gynecologist conducted detailed exams. Following this, I was transferred to a ward for an overnight stay. Both doctors spoke fluent English & exhibited great empathy. While some nurses were proficient in English, others were manageable. During a period of waiting & experiencing pain, a nurse kindly inquired about my well-being as I waited for the doctor. The ward was meticulously clean. Nurses assisted me in settling in, & the room was shared by 3 patients. Dinner was provided, though it consisted only of bread, butter, cheese, tomato, & ham. While unsure whether it was intended as dinner or breakfast, I happily accepted it, given my last-minute admission at the end of the day. The following morning, a doctor arrived to draw my blood again and instructed me to wait. Meanwhile, breakfast was served to others. A nurse informed me that the doctor had advised against eating, resulting in me missing breakfast. Around 9 am, another doctor provided me with all the findings, allowing for an immediate discharge. I received the discharge paperwork an hour later. Overall, I found my experience at this hospital to be positive & would like to thank doctors and nurses for all the care provided.

Oh, we rushed to the kids' ER at this hospital, the entire place is somewhat of a maze: no signs in English, not quite easy to get along and find where to go, the waiting time was quite horribly long, the waiting area was dull, a phone charging station or kids' games could be useful. The staff, however (nurses, doctors and all) were outstandingly pleasant and nice!

Went on a Sunday to the emergency room. Polite staff with wait times around 45 minutes for less urgent cases. The waiting room was definitely a mixed bag, moved seats a couple of times and was met with vomit or sulphuric smells. Some of the seats are broken and so seating is somewhat restricted.

(Translated by Google) Unfortunately, I have to give a star, which is already too much for the maternity ward. The care is the last thing, after my birth I saw a midwife once, she only showed me how to change diapers, that's it with the care. No control of breastfeeding behavior, whether it works or is right at all, no advice or information. I understand the situation with Corona or understaffing, but if it is known that you have no midwife, a hospital should try to discharge the fresh mothers well cared for. You also get no results of the examinations from the child. The U examinations took place without evaluation. Or the yellow tinge in the eyes, was not even mentioned. The U2 was also not a proper control, at the beginning you always have to look at the hip via sonography, this did not happen. The doctor's reluctance could be clearly felt. The discharge took place without much words, here are the papers and the welcome towel ?. Oh yes there were pills somehow, yes what is it how to take and what for ? .. Ah vitamin D and what next? The suture was only checked upon discharge upon request. Well and we'd rather not talk about meal planning at all, 3 days of fish even though you wanted Bolognese not at all. Oh yes and after the delivery and transfer to the ward around noon there was also nothing to eat. (Saturday 4.30 a.m. to Sunday 12 p.m. station no demand for hunger or thirst) In contrast to the ward, the delivery room was very good. Unfortunately I can only give one rating ? Therefore the assessment takes place in the text. There are 4 stars for the delivery room. We were there for 27 hours and saw 5 shift changes. The support was great, we felt good. There is a 1 star deduction for the missing supply of drinks, on request you could have got something ...

(Translated by Google) Origination between stations and in general is unacceptable. Transfer from the emergency room to the destination station often takes longer than 5 hours, critically ill patients in need of care are discharged with a day's notice. The problem here: a powder (vancomycin) and NaCl solution were added to the urgently needed medication without comment. How should the over 80 year old patient manufacture the medication without accessories, or how can a nursing service be found in such a short time that produces the medication fresh every day? I will no longer voluntarily enter this gruesome hospital, dealing with patients is partly a criminal offense.

I reluctantly had to be seen due to extreme pain early in my pregnancy in the middle of the night, between Christmas and New Years with COVID cases very high. Needless to say I was scared, reluctant and frightened. But that all went away when we were greeted after ringing the bell by the KINDEST man you will ever meet - I wish I knew his name. His calm, friendly and extremely caring attitude and bedside manner let me know I was in the best of hands from the start. From ensuring my safety by having me wait for the OBGYN in a room by myself, to paging the doctor after I was waiting for an hour to make sure he didn't forget about me, I could not have been better cared for. The doctor was also so kind and was able to do everything in English. He too was very clam and extremely patient with my many questions (first time pregnancy). I am extremely happy that my husband and I chose to come here as it made the experience a lot less scary for this nervous first timer. Removed one star purely due to outdated equipment even the doctor wasn't happy with (the table for ultrasound was broken and he was very apologetic) and also that you walk by all the sick patients to get to the OBGYN room (perhaps not possible any other way especially with COVID but it of course would be great to not have to see or hear others in pain). Nevertheless, the wonderful man who did my intake was talking with me the whole way so I didn't have to focus on anyone else. I still cannot thank him enough!

I don't speak German at all. Given that limitation, nurses were nice and tried their best to guide me around. Doctors all spoke very good English. I went for an emergency and I was treated very professionally. The waiting time was a bit over an hour but I did come with a case that needed surgery so maybe they prioritized for gravity. They ended up transferring me to another hospital but while I was there I felt in good hands.

We had a very sick child and the doctors and nurses were amazing. There had a highly professional but yet very caring manner and looked after the needs of the parents as well as the child. Spent 7 weeks here and can not fault it. 4 months later we unfortuantly had to bring our child by ambulance to a&e. Again the staff were excellent and tended to my son very intensively. 5 stars for our experience with the maternity unit, neonatal intensive care and children's a&e.

Terrible experience at the A&E. We were left waiting for 6 hours for blood results, which we then only got by asking the staff (when available) several times. We received the results on paper without any explanation of a doctor on whether things are ok or not, so we left to find a doctor to explain the results elsewhere.

Went to the emergency room here today purely out of need since dental practices are closed on Saturdays. Unfortunately I don't speak any German so I asked the girl at the reception whether she spoke any English: "No English, German only." I Google translated my query: "I got my wisdom teeth removed but the wound got infected and I need help." Her answer: "That's teeth problem. You need to go to a dentist." Enlightening piece of information. "So where can I find someone who can help me?" I ask. She goes: "GOOGLE IT." No assistance provided. Still in pain.

At the Vivantes Hospital patients are worth however much money they can make out of you, and it shows! Extremely long waiting times (my 2yo had to wait 12h for surgery, I got off light with a 7h wait with a broken nose), minimalistic care, information and support, detailed attention to which measures are profitable. The staff are capable, but appear overworked. You will find better hospitals in Berlin.

Overall experience is good. My son was born here and the entire process went smooth. The staff were helpful and co-operative. I don't speak Deutsch well, but the staff were helpful in communicating in English. For child birth I think it has all the required facility.

Friendliness is not a foreign word for the staff. The nurses are well trained and do their jobs very well. I would happily recommend this hospital. A huge big thank you to the ENT team. (Translated by Google) Room C3 in the first aid area I had to wait 3 hours for the Russian woman doctor to make fun of me, she says there shouldn't be anything there and says it's the tonsils, but another doctor says it's the lymph nodes, she didn't even look properly and made up her mind made a joke about it and my n leg is full of water she simply says there is nothing but an orthopedist says that my leg is not normal and gave me an appointment directly and by the way she said coldly that if I were a private patient she would give me extra I would give an appointment so that she can already cash in, I mean who would let a woman like that in a hospital as Dr. Work still has problems in the neck area and she didn't even do an ultrasound, not even feel it properly... Simply the worst doctor who "treated" me in my whole life! Impossible real !! (Translated by Google) Thank you Ward 6 (ENT) We all know the nursing shortage. But I experienced consistently very friendly staff here who were helpful and approachable. I also experienced friendly assistant doctors here who answered questions and acted transparently. Additional COVID wards are currently being set up in the hospital and other wards are being combined at great expense. The staff keeps calm and stays with the patient. I felt well looked after here for 8 days and say "Thank you very much!".

I’ve had a very good experience at the children’s department. Went there 3 days ago with my newborn, stayed until today. The doctors and the nurses were caring, empathetic and competent. The cherry on top was when a nurse brought me some tea when I mentioned my throat is hurting. Overall a very good experience that I wouldn’t have expected from such a huge hospital!

Worst help ever. If you want to waste your time waiting, definitely come to this hospital. My son fell and hurt his leg. We went to the Notfall the next morning and waited there for about 5 hours before the surgeon looked at my sons leg and told us it was nothing serious and we didn't need an x-ray. But the pain didn't go away and when we went back there again 3 days later, it turned out that there was a fracture. And after the leg was put in a cast, the surgeon left us in the hospital overnight, explaining that he had to do another examination in the morning. Although the hospital was already full of kids and there were not enough rooms and we were moved in the middle of the night in the doctor's office instead of the room, where I did not have even a normal place to sleep. So in the morning pediatrician told me that he wants me to leave the hospital, which I wanted as well, as we were not even offered a breakfast and didn’t sleep well. But we needed to see the surgeon first, as he was supposed to do some examination. As a result, the surgeon came in the afternoon, asked if the leg hurts and just changed the bandage on the cast. That's what we were waiting for almost 24 hours!!!! The cast is not even solid, my son almost removed all the bandages during the night, and when I asked why it is like that, doctor told me it is my job to look after the kid so he doesn’t take bandages off. Oh, Come on!!!! They didn't give me a proper consultation, just told me to go to my house doctor now. This is the most negligent and disrespectful attitude I have ever seen!

My experience has been very positive here. I went there (to the ER) with a referral from my HNO Arzt. Everyone working at the registration to the doctors and nurses were very friendly and helpful. I waited for three hours but I was prepared so it was okay. The doctor gave me the impression that he was competent. Overall, I'm happy with the Rettungsstelle service.

Today I took my child who is only 19 months old, he was vomiting since yesterday, so we went early in the morning, but even after sitting for 4 hours, our number did not come, when I repeatedly asked how much time would it take to speak. Is it normal, we will first see the emergency, the youngest child who cannot speak, is not able to eat anything, is not able to vote is normal, for whom then you will call emergency. The one who vomited for the last 20 hours. Shame on you, if instead of Mir's child, his child would have been the same

I gave birth at Vivantes Am Urban, however due to a newborn infection we were moved to Vivantes Friedrichshein. From the stuff to the head of the neonatology (who visited us), all were taking great care about the baby and me - being responsive, explaining everything and doing their best. That was my feeling and I did not worried during our stay there. I was also placed in a single room, which was quite helpful for both's recovery, me and the baby, as well as for my husband, who was there as often as possible. Gratefully, all was fine and for that reason I am planning to gave birth with the second kid there.

I recently had an inpatient stay here for a total thryoidectomy. I was nervous to have such a procedure, especially since my German is rusty at best and I was worried I wouldn't be listened to. I have to say, the entire time (from the first consultation up until the end of the post-op hospital stay) I felt incredibly well taken care of. My surgeon, Dr Unger, and her team did an incredible job with the procedure itself, and I felt really cared for in the following days by the doctors and nurse staff. Thanks to them, my recovery has been much more swift than I anticipated.Thank you all so much <3

I came to the ER because I twisted my Knee. The lady at the reception was annoyed that I didn’t speak any german and send me off to another place saying that it was no emergency my Knee. There where german people with knee problems behind me who were check in. The other place that the lady send me to was closed since 2022. I had to go back to the clinic and they took over 3 hours and still haven’t check me in. I been here since 9 am and it’s been in total almost 6 hours, I haven’t eaten and I feel like passing out. Still they dont think this is an emergency.

My mother was on ward 20 for a few days. All the staff were great and she felt very comfortable there. Thank you for that. She came to the rescue center and was treated very well and friendly there. The only criticism is the food. This really doesn't help with a quick recovery. My mother didn't understand how people could cook so badly. In the evening the bread was dry and cold. It was simply thawed too late. So big praise to all the staff and big minus to the catering.

It's a shame that you can't give a zero star rating. Just rubbish, the nurse at registration had the attitude of Kim Kardashian, ignorant and totally unfriendly. Anyone who was afraid because of their pain came out with more fear. Tfuu!

Very satisfied. It´s sad that people who has good experiences do not share them more often in Google. I live nearby the hospital and I have been there very often in the last four years. My son was born there and I can just say thanks for the great human quality of the "Hebammes" and Doctors there. For example, there was no room available when my contractions got stronger, and they offered me the warm bath tube so I could calm down in the meantime. Unfortunately, I also suffered a natural abortion and they took very good care of me, physically and mentally wise. The waiting times can be long, but it´s a hospital and unfortunately we are too many people who get health issues at the same time. Very recommended.

There are two sides to this hospital. The staff was nice and competent, the speed in which I was handled more than satisfactory however if you must stay in the hospital there is nothing to help you recover. The food horrible. Bread and cheese, now they come around to let you choose your lunch but every day there is a "problem' and you will not get what you asked for. I got bad meatballs with canned gravy two days in a row. Sleep...forget sleep. I was paired with a noisy snorer and thought I would have a night to myself when the lights went on at 5 to put a new roomate in place. At home with sleep and fruits and vegetables I am able to recover.

Amazing doctor, who explained to me all the operations procedures half english half deutsch. Amazing operations team who calmed me before the surgery. Amazing caterer, i explained that im muslim and i cant eat pork and they changed my food asap. Having really good experience with this hospital overall. Keep up the good work!

Despite the doctor's announcement that I was allowed to eat something normal, I only got soup for 5 days. I currently have fungus all over my mouth because of the antibiotic treatment. I showed it to 3 nurses and they told me it came from an anesthetic tube. Yes, now I can only eat soup after the soup meal because my mouth is infected. If there were competent medical staff who would recognize the fungus early, I would not have all the complications. My bed was only changed twice after 5 days and was full of dirt and blood. (Translated by Google) I was in this hospital at the end of July and can only say good things about the emergency room and Ward 39. Medical care was quick and extensive. The doctors, nurses and nurses were invariably friendly and answered all questions, explained every treatment and every finding. When you experience this so closely, you can only take off your hat to all the people who actually achieve so much, help so many people, due to a lack of staff. There are also many difficulties because of Covid 19. I personally say thank you again to everyone and I don't understand why there is underpaid and understaffing in the medical / hospital sector. These people in particular deserve our respect! Only the catering service in this hospital was partly inadequate. This not only because of the low daily rate per patient but rather because of the organization and indifference towards the patient. The nurses on the wards have to pay for the mistakes in the catering because the patients complain to them.

(Translated by Google) I was here earlier this year because of an acute gallstone. Then had very severe cramp-like pain two days after the operation, possibly because of the additional inflammation of the gastric mucosa. I was treated as if there was something wrong with me personally, or a simulant or something like that. In any case, I was "accused" several times that they couldn't find any physical cause for my symptoms. Later, after my stay in hospital, it turned out that I had apparently contracted a norovirus in the hospital. Hence, as a result, repeated gushing vomiting and extreme cramps, which were presumably related to the gastric mucosal inflammation in combination with the norovirus. In retrospect, I am still very satisfied with the operation, but not really with the rest of the circumstances of my stay. Not even with the pork in lunch, but I was not asked about personal food restrictions. I can't really recommend the hospital, but it's certainly not bad either. However, should I have to go to a hospital again, I would want to visit another one.

(Translated by Google) The first hospital in Berlin? The doctors may be top, but what can you expect from people who regularly have to work 60 hours at a time? And that on lousy terms - everything is geared towards the end of the day. - also the pace. The infusion stabbed the vein when I said something - the answer I shouldn't do like that. When the child was born, the midwife, who bathed the woman too hot, then set the pda too late, dropped the child and two doctors who said that the child was deaf. It was only after three days that the senior doctor tried to tell us that everything would be ok because you couldn't know that early if there was water in your ear. Do you want to give them control of your life? Not if you have alternatives. Unfortunately, the labor protection laws are also from wartime and have therefore always exempted doctors from them ... They save on every corner, just security service in and beefy bouncers? Probably with reason ... the hospital is right in the drug hot spot of Berlin. (Original) Das erste Krankenhaus Berlins? (Translated by Google) I was admitted to the emergency room for a week in Vivantes Friedrichshain at the dermatology station due to very severe pain and neurological complaints from shingles. Overall, I am very very grateful for the entire treatment and care provided by the doctors and nurses. I felt that I was in very good hands. Thank you very much!! There are two criticisms (waiting time, food) that I will discuss below. However, since I would like to rate the medical and nursing care of my 7-day stay, I give it 5 stars because the treatment was great and everyone looked after me very well. That made the difficult time much more bearable and I am very grateful for the competent, attentive and loving staff! I received very good treatment and all eventualities with numerous tests and an X-ray and ultrasound examination were considered. All my questions were answered during the visits and it was always very important to the carers that they were well looked after and they gave me great support and explained everything exactly when I had questions. When I was discharged, I was given medication for the weekend and for the next working day, so that I had enough time to go to my doctor for further care. It was all really great! It is also a very nice hospital facility overall and you can go for a walk and rest on the hospital grounds. As a constructive criticism I can report the following: - You have to expect long waiting times: At night in the emergency room, I was given pain medication directly - that was great. In contrast, the long wait was not so great, despite very severe pain, until I could be admitted to the ward at 1 p.m. the next day. The admission and subsequent treatment was then very comprehensive and competent and I was quickly taken care of. - The food could be fresher. Food is often overcooked and fresh, crunchy vegetables and fruit are rarely available. Instead, a lot of bread, sausage, meat and cheese. Tip: let friends bring you some snack vegetables and fruit, then it will be better!

(Translated by Google) I was brought to this clinic by a bicycle accident and was in the intensive care unit for 1 day and the normal accident ward for 5 days. I was treated very well in the emergency room and intensive care unit, I was looked after extensively, and I felt very comfortable at all times. It was asked again and again how I am and what is or is being done with me now. On the normal ward, unfortunately, quite the opposite: despite repeated questions, my dressing was changed only once after 5 days, I got bruises from every daily injection in my stomach, I was never really told what was broken exactly where and which tablets I actually get there 4 times a day. In addition: On the third day it was found that the knee was still broken. The food was also a joke: As a vegan, I was given meat, cheese and sausage for the first 2 days. In my opinion, eating in particular contributes significantly to a good recovery. The body can only repair itself properly if it receives reasonable nutrition, minerals and nutrients. Unfortunately, this is not the case here at all. The vegan dinner smells of cat food (these were spreads with yeast extract). When it was finally noticed that I was eating vegan, I got the same meal three times for lunch: overcooked stuffed peppers. Another positive thing at the end: the station manager was very nice and motivated and in a good mood most of the time. You could tell he was enjoying his job.

(Translated by Google) Last week after an endoscopy I was involuntarily with full board at ward 25 for 4 days. The team around the nurses and doctors is really very nice and helpful. At this point I would like to thank everyone. The team cannot help with the somewhat old-fashioned setup of the station. But ultimately nothing was missing. The food has improved noticeably since my last stay in 2017. You just have to say what you want. Man muss nur sagen, was man möchte.

Good. Efficient. Yes there is about a two hour wait but coming from Montreal where waits are eight hours... I'm not going to complain. Nice nurses and doctors although the front staff were a bit tense. Red wine might help... It's an intense environment. I can understand why they are stressed.

Amazing experience during the most important day of my life: when my daughter was born. The midwives were amazing with me and helped me to have a natural delivery without interventions. In the room after delivery I felt totally supported by the nurses and doctors. Lovely staff, I couldn’t be more grateful. Totally recommend Vivantes Friedrichshain.

(Translated by Google) The delivery room would get 4.5 stars! Midwives were all great, knew what you were doing! Midwives were also all very loving, always introduced when someone new came and also responded to requests. Unfortunately, I wouldn't even give it 1 star, because station 15, house 14, does a really bad job. The lady who picked up my wife and the newly born was apparently the only friendly one. In the ward, all the nurses do what you want and when you are called they are more concerned with chatting than treating those in need. According to my wife, they are also looking for whom to help and not. Our baby, who was not even one day fresh, was crying, must have had a lot of pain, had bloody urination and had lost a lot of weight. Nevertheless, this is "normal" for the nurses there. In response to further inquiries to have our child examined by a competent specialist, they were either ignored or assumed that they were imagining themselves. Despite Corona, you can do your job properly. Conclusion: delivery room, doctor and midwives were great! Everything went quickly and they took very good care of you. House 14 Station 15 "Gynecology and Obstetrics" is a disappointment. It would have been possible to simply rename the second “rest, quiet room”. (Original) Das Kreissaal würde 4,5 Sterne kriegen! Hebammen waren alle sehr toll, wussten was Sie tuen!

Although the receptionists and nurses didn't know how to behave with patients the Doctors were really good. I feel a major contribution to the poor hospitality was the fact that I'm not German. And don't get me wrong i did encounter very polite and respectful nurses as well, but most of the staff were impatient and rude if you don't speak German. I've had my surgery here twice. The first surgery to put a metal implant to heal the broken bone and the second surgery to remove it. The only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because of the amazing surgeon's who operated me both times and the accompanying nurses and staff in that department.

On Thursday I had a surgery in the dermatology department and honestly that was the best hospital experience so far in my life. Even with my broken German, everyone was making sure I understood what was happening, the flow of information was good, nurses and doctors were nice, the conditions were proper. I'm thankful for the doctor who prepared me for anesthesia and was taking my attention off the process by talking to me about random things, really took the fear away. My issue is also gone and I received a pack of compress and an ointment from the nurses to take home. I was really taken care off and in general I'm in awe how good of an experience that was. The only bad thing is the waiting time sometimes, but that's a hospital and it happens I believe.

(Translated by Google) Vivantes are announced again today, handicapped parking spaces at the hospital and in the underground car park blocked by non-handicapped people and their vehicles. The reception is very friendly and helpful, the sisters are helpful even in the strenuous pandemic time. Only the patient, who is 90 years old, has to do everything himself. It's sad to see time go by waiting for follow up. 5 stars for the admission, 4 stars for the nurses who help, 1 star for the waiting time (all patients were ordered for the outpatient preliminary examination at the same time and waiting times of 4-5 hours are to be accepted) and 1 star for the disabled Parking spaces that cannot be used by the disabled. Vivatis should Attach colored pictograms to the walls for blind drivers without disabilities. Despite addressing the info, no reaction. Due to the long waiting time, there are parking fees that quickly add up to euros.

Based on previous reviews, we must have been extremely lucky but we were happy to come to the Kinderrettungsstelle at Vivantes this time and not to Sana Klinikum, as we had done in the past. The wait was by far shorter, the personnel--especially the young nurse at reception and the doctor were much friendlier, we went home relieved.

The hospital took great care of our son for a emergency surgery to his esophagus during our holiday. The pediatricians, anesthesiologist and nurses were very friendly and patient and we felt in very safe hands. I do have to mention: make sure to bring the right FFP2 masks. We were initially refused at the entrance of the pediatric emergency room for this reason and then had to wait for over 2 hours before being seen. I dont think triage was done properly. My pregnant wife had to wait outside in the snow for 2 hours because she was not allowed to come in (only 1 caretaker allowed). Keep this in mind!

If they want to send you to this hospital better go home no matter how severe is the wound. For many hours they didn't clean my wounds even tho I keep asking just for piece of paper at least so I can clean my wounds! They made xray and said my shoulder is fine, then later when I went to specialist, from xray he saw severe damage! They also sold me shoulder support item without my consent, I was never asked if I want it or the price was presented to me, they just tricked me into buying it, I received bill months later, especially easy to do this if I don't speak german.

After breaking my arm, I was cared for in ward 21. A big compliment to the team, everyone was super friendly and helpful. I also felt like I was in great hands with the people involved in my operation. Unfortunately there is no functional WiFi for patients in the hospital, hence a star deduction.

I gave birth to my first child at Vivantes, and it was a very good experience. The doctors, nurses, and midwives were all competent, kind and incredibly caring. We felt very well taken care of, and I would definitely recommend this hospital. Although I mostly spoke German (not perfect, though) I believe most of the personnel speaks English, and if they don't they send you someone who does. Food is also more than decent, considering that it is hospital food. The midwives also helped us a lot with the beginning of the breastfeeding and always made themselves available if we needed them. We are very thankful to the whole hospital stuff, as they made our birthing experience very positive. The only reason I don't give 5 stars is that, even though the room was cleaned every day, the cleaning process was not very accurate. I would expect a higher level of detail when cleaning in a hospital.
