My friend almost died. It was said that it was a simple prostate reduction that took place on Thursday morning. My friend warned the doctors several times that he only has one kidney (since birth) and his anatomy is different and one day after the operation complications were already discovered with urine congestion in the kidney, so he didn't have it until Saturday, the next Day, emergency surgery had to be performed. A catheter was placed on his kidney in radiology as an outpatient and the kidney was punctured. Shortly after the operation, my friend felt that something was going wrong, but the doctors didn't take him seriously and said everything was okay. From then on my friend had pain that was from 1-10, 7-8! I hadn't been to Berlin yet and only came to see him on Sunday morning and was just shocked that from Saturday to Sunday NOTHING was done about this pain. Since Sunday morning at 7 a.m. they said he was being sent to radiology for a computer tomography and I arrived at 10 a.m. and still nothing was done while my friend could barely talk or breathe. In a panic I ran to the assistant doctor, who not only spoke to me arrogantly but also completely disinterested and ignorant and didn't take my friend's situation seriously. I went crazy and saw my friend lying in pain for hours until he was taken to radiology at 12 o'clock, where we had to wait another half an hour until it was his turn and it was discovered that the catheter that was supposed to be on the kidney floating around somewhere in the stomach and that the urine flowed from the kidneys into the stomach and that's where the pain came from because urine is corrosive. We were left in the radiology department until 1:15 p.m. and during this time my friend was even injured in the hallway by other specialists when they tried to push his bed to the side. I was on the verge of attacking these arrogant, insensitive professionals. I will never forget seeing how inhumanely my friend was treated! My boyfriend needed painkillers and no one gave him anything for 3 hours after he was given them every hour. His pain had already reached a 9 (out of 1-10). The reason for the wait was the lack of staff to transport the beds. At 2:15 p.m. my friend had emergency surgery and by 7:30 p.m. he was gradually awake and I couldn't believe that he could talk and breathe again. We are grateful that he is alive and my friend seemed very happy with the surgery. 5 days have passed and we have had very friendly, understanding and competent doctors in between, but this torture that was added to him is worth a massive indictment and a case in court for bodily harm and violation of dignity. My boyfriend looks at least 10 years older and this happened within the last week. Doctors said they learned a lot from his unique anatomy and that this case was a “first.” It was nice that he could serve as a test rabbit, but a HUMAN LIFE was at stake! This will have its consequences and we will NEVER plan an operation at the Charité again and we are generally toying with the idea of no longer entrusting our health to the German system. The fact that there is a systematic problem (shortage of staff, underpaid and therefore dissatisfied specialists, nurses, transporters) cannot be overlooked! And to catch ourselves being so grateful for every positive service is sad, because it is the job of a hospital/medical system that a human life should not be put in danger - especially not during a prostate operation! Not only did he have to stop working as a freelancer (thus making huge financial losses), but he also has to recover from the traumatic experience.

My partner, who has a serious heart condition, received neurological therapy against her will here, in the Neurology Clinic (director Prof. Audebert), in the spring of 2018. The neurologist Dr. Frank Marzinzik (now practicing neurology in Köpenick) refused her request to be treated in cardiology. In neurology, although she had never had anything to do with epilepsy, she was examined by the doctors Prof. Heinrich Audebert, Dr. Frank Marzinzik, Dr. Lars Neeb and Dr. Mirja Steinbrenner was treated with two anti-epileptic drugs. My partner did not survive the therapy, which did not meet the professional standard and was therefore unlawful according to Section 630a of the German Civil Code (BGB). Apart from the fact that the antiepileptic treatment was completely unnecessary and pointless, the doctors also completely ignored the guidelines of the German Society for Neurology and Epileptology. Doctors who ignore recognized medical guidelines and thereby end a human life are not a highlight for the Charité! I have informed the board of directors of the Charité Profes about the reprehensible behavior of the neurologists mentioned above. Einhäupl and Frei informed in detail. In his reply, Prof. Frei could - incomprehensibly - see no evidence of medical misconduct. In the spirit of the well-known saying: Hawks will not pick out hawks' eyes. The public prosecutor's office investigated the doctors for negligent homicide for three years and then discontinued the proceedings, although, according to the public prosecutor's office, "not insignificant suspicions may remain." You can also read more about this case on Google at: 1. Frank Marzinzik, Twitter 2. Heinrich Audebert, Twitter 3. Lars Neeb, Twitter, 4. Mirja Steinbrenner, Twitter

Acute emergency, waiting times in the emergency room of over 5 hours and at night when there wasn't much going on!! In addition, patients who arrived later were called earlier, causing great confusion. You will also be treated very rudely! Better any other hospital!

Spectacular architecture, monumental but elegant. Built in 1968 in the post-war modern style, the building still looks quite modern. And surprisingly well maintained inside! In addition to the architecture, I was now also able to “enjoy” the patient’s perspective. It was hard for me to judge, but I thought everyone tried hard. The food is surprisingly ok, and there is also a cafeteria and some coffee and snack machines. For patients who are mobile, the outdoor area offers a lot of green space to get some fresh air.

Spent over 13 hours in the emergency room for evaluation. During this time, 2 x ECGs and 1 x X-ray were carried out. Inhuman. You are just put off by asking how long you should wait. I understand that there are emergencies. When I came there were only two people in the waiting room. Really poor performance. Previously I had to wait a maximum of 5-6 hours. The second star is for the friendliness and personal multiple apologies from the doctor.

(Translated by Google) An absolute mess in this hospital. From a medical point of view, I never felt in good hands here. 5 different doctors in 5 days and 5 diagnoses. From "you have nothing serious" to "your kidney is very bad" to "you are healed and can go". All within 5 days. If there is really anything serious. Avoid this hospital , (Original) Ein absolutes Chaos in diesem Krankenhaus. I cannot recommend the HNO notfall doctor by any means. I went with a sudden acute hearing loss, after visiting 2 other equally clueless HNO doctors before, the doctor at the emergency department as well refused to do any kind of diagnostics besides a simple hearing test (even the machine for that was broken). She offered an intratypanic injection with steroids "in blind", but no blood diluting or blood vessel widening medicine which would be a correct treatment if I had a sensineuronal hearing loss, and no diagnostics for what could be a serious underlying health issue. Desperately, I went home to Poland, where I got immediately admitted to a hospital with a full course of preemptive treatment for sudden hearing loss and after 2 days received a diagnosis - brain tumor. I knew something was wrong but the HNO doctor at Charite wouldn't listen to my begging for further diagnostics and wouldn't listen when I begged her for blood medicine. If I had not taken action to seek doctors outside Germany, I would run with undiagnosed tumor for who knows how many months, posing a life threat. Not everything is due to stress ms. Doctor. All in all, bad medical practice, uncareful doctor without intuition and willingness to listen. I hope Ms. Doctor you may read my review and learn some lesson on proper medicine practice here.

If i could, I would NOT give even a single star to this hospital. Absolutely pathetic management and no regard for the time of the patient. In spite of having an appointment, I was made to wait for over 4 hours, when there were hardly 3 - 4 people in the waiting room. There is no one to understand or communicate in English, which is ridiculous, considering the stature of this hospital. I am nothing but disappointed with such unprofessionalism from the hospital staff. Having wasted an entire day here, I would NOT recommend it to anyone.

The customer service is the worst I've experienced so far. It took me over 2 weeks to make an appointment because the phone was always busy and when I finally got through the said I just go back to my eye doctor, even though i got a referral to the eye clinic. I am nearly blind and have an eye condition that requires a specialist, because a regular doctor isn't experienced to treat me. The receptionists are very rude and impatient. Really disappointed and would never recommend this place to anyone!

I am unable to comprehend the reason why every announcement, every rule, guideline on the poster, why everything is in german and there is not even a single english translation. And when a patient and their family unknowingly break some "rule", then they are subjected to sarcastic rude comments by nurses staff in the emergency department. I guess these educated nurses also dont understand the meaning of "Emergency" or they are rude to people who don't know their language. How can hospital staff be rude to patients and their families and friends. Already the patients are distressed and on top of that the rudeness of nurses for unable to understand the language, how mean insensitive that is. The doctors are ok, but the other people in the staff, especially the receptionist in the emergency ward are the most uncool people.

I visited with my wife for her to undergo a procedure which was virtually impossible to receive in the US with our US insurance. Our US insurance would rather leave subscribers on pain medications rather than treating the cause of pain which is completely different from German health care standards. Most all of the Doctors spoke English, Charité has very professional and skilled surgeons. Charité's nuerology surgeons are global leaders in innovative nuerological surgical procedures we were very fortunate to have received care from the Charité nuerology surgical team. The hospital is somewhat spartan compared with US standards but in what mattered, the skill level of the surgical team, they are second to none. My wife is able to lay flat and sleep on her back for the first time in 1.5 years without pain. Everyone, we had contact with at Charité, was pleasant and worked diligently to treat us with exceptional service. The campus was initially built with assistance from the US hence the Duetches people honored the campus name after an historic American icon in science and free thinking, Benjamin Franklin. The irony of an American couple receiving treatment at this campus is not lost on us. Parking is ample but costs 2€ a visit (what I paid). There is a small cafeteria, shop, Chapel, and florist on the E floor. The NY times is sold for under 4€ daily. WIFI wasn't available to patients. Most areas of the hospital did receive at least some cellular radio reception. There were no water fountains but bottles of mineral water or "quell" (still) water with cups were abundant throughout waiting areas or patient rooms. 5 liter Puriana brand water (US style low mineral content water) was available at the Hoffman's about a mile south of the campus off Hindenburgdamm. We don't speak German, Google Translate (camera instant translate function) was an invaluable tool we used often to help navigate signs throughout the campus. Many folks speak English to varying degrees, the higher level of education the more advanced their English.

Visit one - fine Visit two - lost my test results and had to re-do. Visit three - misdiagnosed severity of my condition to point where I was, for all intents and purposes, being prepped for surgery. Lead to endoscopy, followed by staff openly bickering about my condition and I narrowly avoided another (as of yet) unnecessary and very invasive test. Was then sent home in confusion after a very scary and protracted 3 night stay. Aquired a bad cold in hospital. Visit four- checkup. Went for simple ultrasound and Dr mixed up patient files. Nearly shot me up with adrenaline (the tourniquet was around my arm) before I asked what the hell he was doing. Visit five - will not happen. Looking at new hospitals like I should have after visit 3.

If you think you‘re in a rush with a pre-established appointment, this hospital will teach you to revise your expectations and show you what real patience looks like. Learned 5 languages, read a book and studied ancient Greek mythology in the waiting room.

Today we had an appointment with the surgeon Dr. Jagielski. We received excellent advice and were given a prompt date for surgery. Questions were addressed in detail. The staff was very friendly. Thank you The pictures are a photo from the first floor of the entrance to the main entrance and - unfortunately, as is often the case in such places - a defective / empty ATM.

I want to preface this and say that I am a registered nurse from the United States that worked in a level 3 trauma center ED for years. The only reason I am giving two stars is because the triage nurse on duty was amazing and I did receive the bare minimum of tests I required. I should have known to run from this place after my husband sat in pain for 6 hours and was sent home with no antibiotics and ended up I spent 7.5 hours here for a new onset painful stabbing headache in which I am in pain from now. I received zero pain relief! The nurse gave me two doses of a medication which unfortunately did not touch my pain and I am still in pain as I write this. The neurologist that saw me had left and I was taken off the board because I was sitting by the restrooms and I had no idea there were no speakers over there or even a sign to inform one, so I could not hear my name being called and nobody physically came to check. The neurologist left and the oncoming neurologist told me that in her notes she stated that I will require an MRI and what is shocking to me is that in such a large hospital in a city the size of Berlin they do not offer MRIs on the weekend??? The other doctor offered me no pain relief whatsoever and seemed completely annoyed with me, he had zero bed side manner. When I asked about my bloodwork the doctor informed me I had an elevated white blood cell count but did absolutely nothing to address this sign of infection or address my sky high blood pressure of 155/107. They did not even recheck my blood pressure. These hospitals also do not give prescriptions to go home with!!! I will have to call around all day Monday to find a neurologist or go to my general doctor in hopes of pain relief. I can only imagine how long it will take me to have an MRI of my brain scheduled and I can only pray things do not take a turn for the worse in the mean time. I was also at this hospital in the oral surgery department to have a wisdom tooth taken out this past November. I will require a second surgery because the oral surgeon took out too much of my jaw bone and it was unable to regenerate. I should have known from that last experience to steer clear of this place. I had both of my children at AVK and felt the medical care was extremely competent despite these hard working nurses being pushed to their limits. I know we pay way more in the US for medical care but in situations like this I would gladly pay and be competently cared for than to have to sit and wait and pray nothing happens. I always thought of Germany as one of the best places in the world to live but the healthcare is dangerously lacking.

Disaster place! Everything is a disaster there, the day i got the tests before my surgery i was completly alone walking for hours from one place to the other in a building i dont know and not being able to ask anybody where to go or what do to. No information people around and everybody busy and in a bad mood. The womans from the entry, the security ones, were the only ones helping. Apart of that, they forgot to remove some stitches from my head. My partner was helping me to remove them, it was pretty painfull after one month… We were not able to put out all the thread so i will go tomorrow to my normal doctor. This in my opinion cant be admisible. If they fail in something so simple i cant imagine what happens with something more important. Bad medical praxis I cant believe it

If you cannot speak German you are basically left there on your own, I have waited 2h30m to just get a prescription for an antibiotic as I came in with evident pain and fever, still here waiting while people easily went before me. Disgusting behavior also when asking for informations, being sent to "Just sit and wait" for someone asking for help shameful.

(Translated by Google) It's hard to reach by phone because everything goes through the hotline. House 2 (dermatology) is in a miserable condition. The clinic could also be located in Romania. For a simple allergy test, three appointments are scheduled in two quarters. Update: The senior doctor did not save the patient file on the third appointment and the allergy test could not be carried out in the end because the necessary medication was not ordered. I'm definitely not going out again for a fourth appointment. The level of amateurism is absolutely pathetic for the Charité. Took my parents here (77 y.o.) for a comprehensive checkup on their eyes, and follow-up procedures. PRO Nice doctors who care, and who are fantastic professionals. Reasonable advice, flawless operations. Every doctor we've seen has been really warmhearted and helpful. CON The administration is a challenge. Forget about customer service. I don't know if this is because this team is overworked, or because they do not see it as an important part of the job description. We felt like intruders who are getting in the way of everyone there. Not an experience I can recommend to anyone visiting a hospital, which is already stressful as it is. SUMMARY My German friends tell me that there are similarly good doctors with the same budgets at nicer places. So if you have some time to invest into choosing a clinic that knows what is customer service, empathy and human touch – look elsewhere. As much as I admire the doctors at Charite, the administration side is a sad story

(Translated by Google) We were here on the recommendation of a friend. We actually got an appointment at the vision school for our two daughters very quickly. However, it was already very crowded on arrival in the entrance hall of the department and had a slight station character. The waiting area in front of the vision school was also very inviting and you didn't feel comfortable there in any way. The toy that was there was unfortunately already broken or very dirty. So much for the "ambience". The staff of the vision school was actually very nice and tried everything to make the children as comfortable as possible. Except for the doctor, we didn't feel very welcome. She came across very unappealing and finally "slammed" the diagnosis around our ears! And when we asked what we could do to support our little daughter or improve her vision, she just said nothing and was done with us. It was clear to us that our daughter (1 year) probably had ametropia, but not that it was supposed to be so extreme and then it was bad for us as she told us. We immediately doubted the finding and looked for an eye clinic in the Saarland (Sulzbach) independently and we felt very well treated. There you didn't write them off straight away, they showed us ways how we can help our daughter. There her eyes were examined properly for the first time under anesthesia and lo and behold the results were significantly better!

Given the many options as a private patient for neurosurgery, I chose Campus BF for the second procedure. It is a high-performance hospital with a research background and not just a slimmed-down profit center. For the size, a smooth, automated process with great people who try hard and are experienced. Of course, some things take a little longer, but it's bearable given the number of patients and emergencies. In comparison, I have to say that it was very good professional care during the 5 day stay and 4.5 hours of surgery. My surgeon Dr. Markert, as a former doctor from the campus, formed a team of experts in consultation with Prof. Ertl. Second bed room, far too much food but really good quality. Attentive service team and especially the inpatient medical care as well as the cultural dream team of nurses on the 36b/a❤️

After reading the comments and having a very poor German I was prepared for the worst. And was proved completely wrong. Waiting time can be exhausting, that's true but literally everybody was helpful, professional and super nice to me. And yes, they have a ginger cat there, walking freely in the hall. People with allergies might disagree but the mofo is cute.

(Translated by Google) Part 1: Good reputation used to be. It is a shame that the reputation is in the past and has clearly tilted. I had very severe breathing difficulties. I only brought out more air (suddenly, a few days after the window renovation, before that it was painted - involuntarily) while consciously pressing. The cigarette air in the emergency room increased my breathing, then the surgical mask made my breathing really noticeable (very fast breathing). I would never have managed to close the bar, not even before the renovation, so "straight" with great air with "above nose" and only a little space above. At other compulsory facilities (public transport / shops) I only wore makeshift towels, never a classic mask. After the renovation, I already had increased breathing without difficulty breathing and weakness, so I could never stand anything in front of / under my nose. I was checked through / or ignored / not even admitted to another hospital. The paint on the wall was probably to blame. After renovating the windows, a doctor completely ignored my still harmless symptoms 2 days before I presented myself here. A few hours ago I was in a hospital with good air, where I was breathing well. Unfortunately, there was no further treatment (due to a lack of beds or an outsourced lung department). In an emergency, I came here on Sunday evenings - traveling through Berlin, as an environmental department is integrated here according to the Internet. Conclusion: Failure to provide assistance. But if it were just that (the entrance lady is NOT to blame), I could still say: "That's how it is". Incompetent or something. But to do even more damage than that, and brazen lie, often goes too far. Or should I say "character assassination"? So the "only" failure to provide assistance: I could hardly breathe - finally arrived at home at 4 am, after a desperate attempt to sleep (a few seconds) in the park, I tried to breathe in such a way that it was the least bad, and luckily dozed off a couple of times (I'm pregnant, badly need my sleep). Only now when writing a review do I notice that I really devoured the traumatic experience, but at that time "survival" was simply important. You don't even think about it, you just want to be able to live. Furthermore, I did not receive any medical help, own medical knowledge is much more important in this country if you want to survive. I have used "miracle treatment" for sepsis, which is not established in conventional medicine. I made the diagnosis myself. In the case of acute emergencies, under no circumstances should you rely on conventional doctors, only lapal cases are treated satisfactorily, that's my experience so far. I don't know whether I now have a mental trauma about going to a hospital. Before I starve and freeze to death (in emergency rooms), I have to take care of myself. Last week I got - after an exhausting time to make the apartment habitable again, and to come out of exhaustion (paint, apartment poisons), and with the mental stress from the greatly reduced health in connection with my long, chronic ailments (orthopedic, after Overexertion and the result of surgery) and the resulting socially heavy burden to get out again, although this hospital is mainly to blame (social, not physical) - then missed the social hammer. I learned about the social consequences of the character assassination. I'm also writing this review here to make everything clear. Above all. I do not want to say how "bad" this character assassination is, is not only to diminish the reputation, but to make my previous life "for free". To make my future as small as possible is not worth living.

The doctors and nurses are professionals and very friendly and the medical treatment is first class. I’ve found the waiting times to be very manageable, especially for such a large hospital. The building itself is a stunning eyesore. It’s almost so ugly to be interesting. For the inside however, it’s a bit run down in some places despite others being relatively renovated.

I have a gigantic complaint regarding the lady in triage that took me in. But besides that, my experience there was lovely. I was hospitlized in cardiology for a few days. I have nothing but good things to say about the nurses, the doctors and the rest of the staff, the transportation man, the cleaning ladies, and also the nurses and doctors that checked me for a few hours in emergencies. But I have to say the lady in triage was horrible. I was having something like a panik attack, my heart rate was very high and before coming in there I couldnt breath very well. As soon as I sat down to explain her what was happening (in CLEAR distress), I asked her if she spoke any english, she answered no, only german. I told her what was happening to me, at the verge of crying or fainting to be honest. She asked me if I had my Versicherungskarte to what I replied very quickly that I couldn´t find my wallet on my bag, but my friend outside was making sure a friend would bring it from the classroom we were in when I started having the attack. She took her hands off from the laptot and looked at me with despise I have to say. I was shaking and clearly desperate and the lady REFUSED to take me in or even check me. I told her many times, im not feeling well please someone will bring it right now, she replied "Ja, Und?". I went out and completely lost my mind and started crying, my friend in desperation kept looking for my wallet (which is pretty small, just for cards) and finally found it in a hidden pocket I didn't realize there was before. When we came back inside again, the lady accused me of using my friends card instead of mine and tried to tell me that doing so would be illegal. At that moment I lost control and screamed at her that she didn't have any reason to doubt me. She finally took me in, after relazing how high my heart rate was. 10 minutes later I never saw her again, THANK GOD. I can't believe people get treated like this. It makes me wonder how the treatment is for undocumented, and so on. In my worst vulnerable moment, at my highest desperation, I was treated like a rat. The lady definelty made my situation worse. Im an anthropologist and the struggles of those in need are important to me, and I could not believe for hours after that what this horrendous lady made me feel. I complaint to another lady inside in charge of contracts and so on, and she was completely in shock stating that they have protocols in case someone doesn't have an insurance, but denying treatment is definetly illegal. Like I said, besides her, my experience was lovely, but I hate what this woman made me feel, and what she has for sure made others feel. She is the only reason I won't give a 5 star review.

I even had to point out where you want to inject must be disinfected beforehand. I did not feel that I was in good hands there. In addition, after the biopsy, I had a huge scratch on my back where the student did the biopsy carried out slipped must have slipped a week in pain, which I found a joke and around me were 4 onlookers who watched the whole thing. the anesthesia during the biopsy worked for 2 minutes after that I felt everything again and it was very uncomfortable. They try to make a lot of money in the clinic. Patients are kept there as long as possible. I had to discharge myself after 5 days. Even after a few discussions with the doctor, they did not want to let me go. After a few threats, my papers were finished for me . The second time I had to go to this hospital to get a drop that should be there for the appointment, unfortunately it was not there for the appointment but you should come back the next day and take a taxi back 120km after a phone call at the clinic He then clarified this with my doctor in the clinic, whereupon the doctor ordered the remedy and I had to go back to the clinic 2 hours later. Doctors do not talk to each other in the clinic. (Translated by Google) CBF Neurology Despite a long appointment, a young doctor was there for the examination, who obviously did this examination for the first time. You first had to read in your textbook what it was all about. Nerve conductivity should be checked. It took some time and in this connection a few (painful) electric shocks before she had found the right starting points. I was glad that she wanted to do without the deep examination. In addition, she apparently did not consider it necessary to have a reference examination of the other (healthy) limb. Ultimately, I was happy when I was able to leave the clinic quickly. - Doctors must and should be trained. Experimenting on a living object, without specialist supervision I think it is extremely questionable. The report then went to my family doctor, who of course has to trust the result. Somehow it was all nightmarish to me. A disgrace for Germany. Unfortunately, the small percentage of staff who are competent and hard-working cannot trump the rest. The sometimes good experiences of past years are completely overshadowed by experiences like this. My mother, who has been suffering from cancer for many years, had to be hospitalized a while ago because of severe pain. The way the doctors there treated her stunned me. As someone with statutory health insurance, she was obviously treated condescendingly, like a second-class citizen. The pain and its causes were not taken into account, despite being discussed several times. She was recently informed that she can actually only use private nursing staff, even though she is definitely not in need of nursing care. No treatment is sought. You could have just told her that she could choose a coffin. Empathy and competence are not present here. The problems lie in many places, but the oncology and ward 1a are particularly noteworthy. Anyone who, as a doctor, tramples on patients' lives just because the patient is not privately insured does not deserve the title of doctor. Either you save lives or you find another career, but making a difference because of insurance is by far the last resort.

(Translated by Google) Whenever I was here, I was happy! It's a huge business and I wouldn't say that everything is going well here. The staff, especially the nursing staff, often work at the limit. However, I can only give this clinic the best certificate. And if things don't go well: here you can listen to the less good and look for solutions. I was very impressed by a complicated operation on the hand. Not really a good forecast ... the result was great! And very committed doctors. This clinic doesn't want to be in the red either, but it can afford (or at least does it) to take a lot of time for a patient. What pays off: the subsequent processes take less time. We bring satisfaction. Udn erbringen Zufriedenheit. Für mich immer eine Empfehlung

This review is about my visit to the dermatology department due to a skin virus: Recently, I visited this hospital because there were literally no other options in Berlin. After reading the low reviews, I could imagine how bad my visit will be. But it was not bad. Getting registered at the hospital was not hard: the staff was helpful and serious (maybe because I was serious and listened to them carefully), and best of all, they spoke English! Once I got registered and forwarded to the related department, I got a waiting number and a woman explained to me what I have to do. The waiting time is the reason this review is 4 stars: I waited for a long time. Expect to wait for at least 2 hours, even if you think that it's your turn soon. I waited for 4 hours. The hospital had a cafeteria where I could buy food, and automats that had drinks etc. While waiting, I realized that the hospital really doesn't have many doctors. And that may be the reason why it operates so bad. Afterall, if the demand is high but the supply is low, the result would be high waiting times and bad performance. Luckily, my doctor turned out to be a professional. After waiting for 4 hours, it was my turn, and I went immediately into his room. He asked me the necessary questions to diagnose my problem and did the necessary visual inspection. We talked, and he explained everything to me, answering all my questions. He also spoke English and knew the terms very well. I have some advice to those who will be visiting this hospital: 1. Don't be afraid to ask questions to all staff. Yes, they are busy, but without asking questions and knowing what's going on, your visit will be disastrous. 2. Have patience: everyone is waiting, not only you. You are also not special, everyone has a problem in there. Your turn will come, just occupy yourself with something until it does. 3. Tell the doctor everything you feel or know about your problem: they need to hear you. This makes a difference between the right and the wrong diagnosis! 4. Park your car somewhere outside?! Even if your insurance covers your visit, their parking fees combined with waiting times are a hefty expenditure.

I was there from April 3rd to April 7th. on ward 12b for the planned operation on the lumbar spine (removal of a herniated disc) Shortly before the time came, I stupidly read the reviews and got really scared (perhaps some other patients feel the same way). Shortly afterwards the time came and I was picked up and taken to the operating room. I was welcomed by super nice anesthetists who really prepared me for my operation. Always loving and friendly towards me until I fell asleep happy and content 🍀 Thank you very much for that. After the operation, I was brought back to the ward pain-free and well cared for. I was also looked after at all times there on ward 12b. I immediately received help getting up for the first time and my dinner was already waiting for me 🫶🏻 My absolute favorite sister was Sister Andrea, such a sweet, warm soul ❤️ but also everyone else, doctors, anesthesiologists, nurses, interns, nurses, trainees, you do a great job 🍀 Sometimes the waiting times for examinations may not be very short BUT, I'm in the clinic because I'm sick and need help, so of course I have the time I need. So complain less and prioritize. Mine was and is my health. In any case, I am completely satisfied and can only advise everyone to form their own opinion and not be confused by the reviews ☀️

Was there twice, both times at the rescue center. You have to be prepared for longer waiting times, the first time I waited 1.5 hours to speak to a doctor. The second time I had to have a CT scan done, so I was there for a total of 6 hours. (Both times I was at the Charité on a weekday) The doctors and general staff on site were friendly. Overall, I was satisfied with the treatment. Parking possible on site, first hour free, then €1/hour, from the third hour onwards €2.5.

First of all: Sometimes it takes longer - the waiting times require strong, strong nerves. BUT: I am more than happy with everything! I had an accident and was treated really well. That's why I say thank you to the ZNA team on February 2nd, 2024 early in the morning, to the ENT and cervical spine departments on the 4th and 1st floors for the further treatment in the days afterwards and until the complete completion of my treatment, which will take place soon, to the entire surgical team on February 15th, 2024 as well as to the team in the AOZ on the 7th floor on February 15th, 2024 and not to forget the entire anesthesia team on February 13th, 2024 on the ground floor. You are doing an exceptionally good job! Thank you that you exist! Keep it up! And to all those patients who think they have to complain and act, don't forget: you want to be treated and cared for and not the other way around! Be grateful that we receive such medical care! Everyone strives to do their best! You are not alone on this journey! If you don't like it, get private insurance if you think it'll be quicker and better! The way patients behaved towards the staff was sometimes disgraceful. Where is the respect? You only wake up when there is no one left who could help you in an emergency or provide you with medical care! Always think about how you would feel if it were the other way around! And with such disrespectful behavior, as a patient you ensure that no one wants to do the job anymore, which means no offspring, which means no future medical care! And as a reminder: 4 years ago the medical staff were applauded, we all know why! Where has the thanks gone these days? Also a big thank you to the staff from the RTW of the Berlin Fire Department in the early morning on February 2nd, 2024, who provided first aid! Stay healthy and best wishes, Diana!

If I could give 0 stars I would! Yesterday I was in the rescue center with my mother for a total of 7 hours. I don't know if the people there didn't like our face, but what was going on there was really the last thing. My mother was sent back and forth 5 times, then the doctor said they had been looking for her for 3 hours 😂🤦🏼‍♀️ and she was having an ultrasound. She sits in the room with the doctor who prefers to look at his stethoscope on his computer instead of caring for the patient. Suddenly our family name is heard in the waiting room, I go in, the gentlemen thought I was my mother (although she was in a room with the doctor in charge). Then I had to call my mother to find out which room she was in. Which I did. But out of decency, she didn't answer for the time being (decency towards the doctor, who didn't have one). I then went out, she answered, told me the room number, went in again, and told the ladies at reception about this looked at me with wide eyes, like what I want from you now, although the lady who asked me to do it was standing 2m behind my back and could have said that she had heard that. Thank you for the OBVIOUS FUCKING. If you don't feel like doing your job, do something else. Impossible. Oh well, I would empty the garbage can outside and not throw my blue gloves next to it. But what happens outside is reflected inside.

MRI with contrast agent: I found the treatment a bit unloving, musical accompaniment was promised but not granted. The breath holding phases are a bit too long. There are probably devices that are faster and quieter. Overall, please treat it a little more lovingly so that the procedure is easier to endure.

I was in the emergency room here in September 21 because of a stinging sensation in my skin. Almost everywhere on the body there was a feeling of pinpricks and subsequent itching as soon as pressure was applied to the skin. When I washed my hair I was in massive pain and my feet were sometimes scratched bloody because of the symptoms. At night I could only sleep without a blanket because the pressure on my skin caused stinging and itching. Painkillers I took had no effect. I was only able to relieve it briefly with ice spray. After I contacted the neurology department at the hospital and was told that I should be sent to neurology via the emergency room if I couldn't take it anymore, my father took me to the hospital. There I showed a piece of paper on which I had written down all the complaints I had, what medications I was taking and what complaints I had in the months before the stinging feeling in my skin, as well as which doctors I had seen. I was admitted to the emergency room and saw a dermatologist. I was sent to the dermatologist even though I said that I wanted to go to neurology and reported that I had already been to a dermatologist and he told me that a neurologist was responsible for the symptoms. And even though neurology is mentioned on the hospital website when entering the symptoms, I was referred to a dermatologist. After a short wait, I went to the dermatologist and explained the symptoms to her and the trainee there, and I was sent out again. Now I waited again. Very, very long. But I didn't wait alone. An elderly woman was also waiting because she needed a prescription. For hours. Finally I was called back in. The dermatologist was apparently already off work, so only the trainee was there who told me that you don't go to the emergency room because of a cold. And that investigations can no longer be carried out because it is already too late. I didn't know what to say anymore. A good two days later I started scratching my face bloody because of the pain. Later, an internist to whom I was referred found out that my gallbladder was broken and that it was poisoning my body. He then prescribed me an anti-allergic medication which reduced the pain and after surgical removal of the gallbladder in a competent hospital, all pain and symptoms disappeared.

University outpatient clinic: SUC-AMB CBF trauma surgery outpatient clinic To Dr. Jagielski and all colleagues: Thank you for the advice and support since summer 2023. Just great. Surgical procedures are certainly never at the top of your personal health list. Here, however, the concern fades. Everything will be fine here.

I am an oncology patient and was admitted a few days ago with severe pain. We had a CT scan and a gastroscopy done, as the pain was very severe I started receiving a drip... After about some point I was told to leave, but I asked about my pain. The answer if you continue to have pain find another hospital....... Even if I collapse, I will avoid this hospital

The network of university clinics with 301 professors and around 9000 students in 2021. In 1727, Friedrich Wilhelm I converted the facility into a public hospital called the Charité . When Berlin University began teaching in 1810, it became an important teaching and research facility, from which more than half of the German Nobel Prize winners for medicine or physiology come from. According to the results of the Excellence Strategy 2019, the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, as part of the Berlin University Alliance , is one of the German Universities of Excellence . The clinic enjoys high recognition worldwide. Hello, I can only read the negative reviews with astonishment. I have been an inpatient in cardiology ward 2a for the last two days. From the first to the last minute I felt well taken care of. Every employee from the senior doctor to the nurses were always approachable and very friendly. The pre- and post-examinations went like clockwork. This is not a given in such a large house. Thank you very much everyone for that.

😠 I believe that when a person wants to work in a hospital they should be fit to do so. The red hair nurse that I went to do the registration at the clinic was extremely rude and disrespectful.
