I attempted to use a 7 day free trial in order to see if I would like it, and they charged me 120 Euros! This gym has NO workers at the gym to speak to and you cannot even enter the gym without using your membership. The only way to sign up is online. I have sent them emails, messages, and calls and they never pick up for get back to me. I wanted to see if this gym was a good fit but now I know that they don’t care and only want money.

Very clean, very nice, new machines and equipment. But relatively small, so I was lucky it wasn't too crowded. For a pretty small gym, they have one ski erg, 4 c2 rowers, air runner, 4-5 (normal) bikes and two assault bikes, which is pretty cool. But one the AB doesn't work and the screen of the other one is damaged. Though for such an expensive gym you'd expect some kind of a service, but no, not a single trainer/employee there, which is extremely weird. So I couldn't tell anyone about the bike screen. I also wanted to ask about a specific machine but couldn't. No soap in the men's bathroom. But again, no one to ask.. And finally, after a long workout, I went to take shower but the water was only freezing cold. I waited for hot water for around 10 minutes, but nothing. And of course, no one to ask/tell...! Not even a receptionist..

Really like the self serve concept. And I actually like that you need to bring your own lock - I hate the code lockers so many gyms in Berlin have. Very clean and smooth functioning machines.

Es befindet sich bestenfalls nur temporär ein Ansprechpartner im Studio. Die meisten Angestellten haben nach kürzester Zeit das Handtuch geworfen weil die Mängel, die sie an das Management gemeldet haben nicht bearbeitet wurden. Immer wieder verschwindet Trainingsmaterial aber das größte Problem ist die mangelnde Sauberkeit in den Umkleiden und in der Dusche. Das Studio wird nur einmal am Tag sauber gemacht und zwar morgens. Wenn man also nach Feierabend gegen 17 oder 18:00 Uhr in das Studio kommt sieht die Dusche und die Umkleide bereits entsprechend versifft aus. es bringt auch nichts wenn man sich per E-Mail direkt an das Management wendet. Reagiert wird dort so gut wie überhaupt nicht. Es kam sogar vor das die Dusche sage und schreibe zwei volle Monate nicht sauber gemacht wurde und schließlich verstopfte. erst dann sah man sich gezwungen die Dusche endlich mal wieder sauber zu machen. Seit mehreren Wochen ist auch der Haartrockner defekt, überhitzt nach kurzer Zeit und schaltet sich automatisch aus. Solche und ähnliche Mängel dauern Ewigkeiten bis sie behoben werden. Hätte ich bei EVO keinen etwas günstigeren Firmentarif und würde es nicht DIREKT auf dem nach Hause Weg liegen, hätte ich sehr wahrscheinlich bereits gekündigt. Dafür dass das Studio außer Trainingsgeräten keinerlei Annehmlichkeiten hat wie zum Beispiel einen Wellnessbereich finde ich die standardmäßigen 59 € preislich viel zu überzogen.

It could’ve been a good gym - BUT… …they seriously need to find a solution for the lockers. A lot of lockers are not working properly, some are missing their doors/lids. For a gym that’s mostly crowded, it’s quite a big issue. The equipments are nice, but it’s a small and a quite crowded gym due to its central location. Be mindful of the time slots you’re visiting. You might wait in a queue to change your clothes, or like some other people are already doing, might change your outfit outside the designated room.

Gym looks nice at first sight, but since one year now the lockers are a mess. Most of them are reserved by people who aren't at the gym and many are broken completely. Basically its only 30-40% of all lockers that you can use. I told them that this was an issue last Autumn, but they don't seem to care. For the price they charge this is not acceptable in my eyes. I've quit my membership and would would recommend going to a John Reed or similar.

Fairly good gym, mainly for crossfit. Not many weights at your disposal if you're serious about weight lifting. Also sadly has arrogant personal trainers who use about 3/4 of the weight lifting space for their "workouts" and also use the squat rack and deadlift platform for bicep curls.

A very nice gym that is good for short-stay tourist/ppl come here for language courses (1month or longer ). It offers monthly plan that is rare in Berlin and location is perfect. I love this gym a lot, as a person who does a lot functioning training. Huge space for everyone , even you want to rock the battle rope, you can still walk across the room. And the lockers all have pin lock, very convenient. The only downside is the female changing room has only one toilet. If you come for the first time, please remember to bring a pair of indoor shoes :)

This gym is AMAZING! The gym is super clean and you‘re able to workout barefoot which is my favourite thing ever! The Clubmanager Moe is very friendly, speaks multiple languages and always has an answer to whatever question I have. They have a big functional area, free weights, machines and very very new equipment!! It does get a little busier around the evening but what gym doesn‘t? I think it’s great to see people working out and everyone is so friendly- I’ve already made friends. Big recommendation for everyone!!

I train here very often through the Urban Sports Club. The area is really nice and is well suited for funcrional training - something I often missed at other studios. The 2019 review: Okay, as I've been visiting this gym regularly for more than 1.5 years now, I'm ready to update my review. EVO is my favorite gym in Berlin. The equipment is solid, it's not super crowded, I like the design and atmosphere of this gym. Oh, and their location is just perfect. Some things to note though: 1. This gym is very good for bodyweight and functional training. It's not cluttered with useless machines and other stuff. 2. Don't expect any guidance from the PTs for free. You have to know what you're doing or buy their time. In my opinion, the above two points are pros as you are left alone and you're free to do whatever you want in a gym which is focused around bodyweight and functional training. There are some cons though: 1. It's certainly true that some PTs occupy half of the gym but, in my opinion, it's not a big issue as most of them are friendly and open to sharing the equipment when possible. 2. I've seen claims that the place is being cleaned daily but I don't think that it's true. The gym is not as clean as others claim and there are much cleaner options in Berlin. I think that it's being cleaned once or twice a week at best. 3. One of the most annoying things for me is that nobody cares about putting stuff back after they use the equipment. Sometimes it looks like a junk yard. 4. The signup process is just terrible. A friend of mine wanted to join the gym but because of the very inefficient process he just gave up and went with another option. Hey owner, you're losing money because of this! Boutique gym with a pleasant vibes and simple complete equipments. Special thanks to Lena who works there who is really helpful to accomodate and act fast with inquiries. I was on a trial membership that they offer online and became the member there since because I didn’t read that there was a year agreement to the contract when you signed for that free trials. So that was a let down since I felt a bit cheated but I’m glad overall with the whole experience of the gym and staff members.

UPD: I've edited my review since the stuff did respond quick and on point. Cool concept with trees and stuff, but the user experience in the gym is awful. The lockers are placed OUTSIDE of the changing rooms, meaning if you need to take a shower after the workout you need to leave your stuff unattended in tiny changing room, or walk naked in the gym, because it’s where the lockers are. Oh, and the electronic code on the lockers doesn’t work. I’ve spent in the gym 1 hour and haven’t seen anyone who works there, I assumed there’s no stuff. Everything looks new, but already half broken - shower heads, hair dryers. The gym itself so packed it’s hard to move between machines. The location is great, unfortunately it’s the highlight.

It’s a terrible facility for the price. I joined because I like the self-service aspect but that’s taken a little too far when it came time for me to get my wristband. The website said to come down and get it from the staff on-site. That would be a workable plan were there EVER any staff on-site. Instead I waited like an idiot outside for half an hour before leaving. Once inside it’s a fairly well—equipped gym (hence the two stars) but on my first day I discovered only one of four Concept2 rowers were functioning. There is no water dispenser in the gym area (or if there is it’s superbly hidden) leaving me to have to shuttle downstairs several times to fill my bottle. At least that was a good workout. The concept of this gym is great. The execution is terrible and when you take into account the cost, which is not far off gyms with actual humans working there, and with better facilities, it doesn’t make sense at all to join here unless you literally live upstairs.

- No need to go here when the new John reed bötzow is 5 min walk away and its way better equipped and a lot cleaner. For instance at evo there is only 1 bench press and 1 squat rack. - Mens showers are a single room with no cubicles - like what i would expect in a prison - Exceptionally shady business practice - there is never anyone at the front desk and so the only way to just look around is to sign up. But despite being "first month free" you only have 3 days to cancel before they try and charge you. Be careful. - lockers are outside of mens changing and you need to bring your own padlock - a stupid policy where you have to wear a separate pair of "indoor shoes" in training area.

I mainly visited the Rosa Luxemburg branch. The staff is super friendly and supportive. The studio is clean and peaceful. I had two rounds of personal training in 2 years. The cardio machines are super new, and you can find all the necessary types of basic equipment; however, there are no fancy machines, or sometimes some additional equipment for the cable machine is missing and not quickly renewed. The gym is for people who know how to exercise and work out and prefer to have a less crowded and super relaxed environment to exercise.

Small but cosy gym. It’s well located, the facilities and the equipment are brand new plus there’s a good atmosphere. I’ve been going there regularly through ClassPass at different times. I’ve never seen it totally full. There’s no reception. You need a code to get in. You have to bring your own towel. No sauna. Just a normal bathroom.

The facilities are great and I have always found them clean and certainly sufficient, if you know how to train yourself. The only big mark down is the one Personal Trainer, who treats the place as if it is his own. I understand that the EVO concept doesn't include any training support but having the only staff member on site act as if the gym was his personal territory is quiet unpleasant.

Evo was super convenient and easy to use as a visitor. The staff were friendly and inviting. They have a good selection of weight training and cardio equipment. Many of the lockers don't work, so don't expect to be able to secure your belongings. There were some minor equipment issues when I went as well - broken lever on a bench, and the first treadmill I chose wasn't working. No big deal, but worth mentioning.

Having tried out various gyms in the mitte area, ranging from High-end boutique to mainstream, this gym, is by far the best maintained and equipped. I can always get on the machinery i need irrespective of time or day, and i feel like members are pretty respectful of each others personal safety- which given the current pandemic, is extremely reassuring!
