This is such a fraud gym. I went to them , the executive there told me about trial for 14 days and for something around 28€. He was translating to me everything , my German is not good enough. He didn’t told me anything else , that if you don’t cancel it will be automatically renewed to new regular contract. I only went a week and after that lockdown started. After that every momth they started deducting 19€ approx my my account ( when I went they told monthly offer was there for 9.99€) , when I asked them they said 8.99€ is for drinks and all. They didn’t even told me about my contract will get renewed automatically or even mailed me or called me once to confirm . And now they say I have pay for a year . I am even not in Berlin anymore. These guy provide only half information to trap you . It is fraud.

The gym is nice with good sanitization. Cons: 1. No Trainer on the floor to guide people about the exercise hence I have seen many people doing sets in wrong form. 2. Only one leg press machine which is occupied almost all the time.

The most amazing part of this gym is the staff. We came to Berlin for just 10 days and every other gym required a year commitment to sign up. At FitStar Malik and Benjamin totally took care of us and allowed us to sign up and train. They were so kind, helpful and accommodating. I used the Urban Sport Club membership and found Fit Star through this app. Showers and facilities are superbly clean and I gather if you have an actual membership with gym there are other tasty benefits including coffee and different types of waters (please correct me if I am wrong). I tend to go to the classes, BODYCOMBAT is my favourite. In my opinion there has been different fitness levels of the trainers. I also don’t like that the stage is at the back of the hall. It would make more sense to face the mirror enabling us to see our bodies and our technique. I personally wouldn’t mind if the teacher was not on the stage. Also, staff are super friendly!

According to the Fitstar guidelines, the contract is allowed to be broken if your new living address is situated over 30km away from the nearest Fitstar. I happened to have moved several hundreds of kilometers away from the nearest Fitstar. Fitstar however, refused to let me break my contract, (although I had sent proof of my move, along with my official university registration documents), instead sending my details to a collection agency, which continued to send letters to my previous address in Munich. As I had already moved, I was unable to know that these letters were being sent. I found out about them, only when I returned to Germany for the summer. Ultimately I had to pay a very large sum to both the collection agency, as well as Fitstar, as neither were willing to negotiate. Despite my horrible experience, I decided to join Fitstar once again in the Summer of 2019, as I was preparing to move to Berlin for a year, as part of my Erasmus program at my French university. A few months later, I injured my knees, which disabled me from any physical fitness. I brought my doctor’s note to my nearest Fitstar in Berlin, with the intention of ending my contract, as I was no longer able to work out, due to my injury.
