The Kreuzberg bouldering club is a beautiful, productive hall in the middle of the district. The range of routes on offer is extensive but also demanding. In addition to the children's world, there is also a training area and a yoga room where classes take place regularly. The size of the hall is pleasant, although it can get full at peak times. Prices are ok, staff was nice.

Boulders were good, also fair in terms of difficulty, the screwing style required a lot of technique and commitment, which I always think is pretty cool. There is a separate yoga room and the strength area is small but nice. The seating areas were inviting when they weren't packed with backpacks or something similar. The price was right too. Staff was relaxed. What bothered me: -The opening hours (10 p.m. a week is just too early for me) - the sanitary facilities and the boulder were really borderline dirty (well, both factors that the hall management can only do to a limited extent, but it just makes a stupid impression) - the crowd (you can't help it, but it's still annoying, especially when you don't have a lot of time and you always have to wait in line somewhere) It wasn't a bad experience, but compared to other bouldering halls I just felt more comfortable there. I would come again, but definitely at lunchtime. The rating fluctuates between 3 and 4 stars and will be decided as soon as I go bouldering in Kreuzberg again.

Great bouldering gym. A little crowded so it's good there is a booking system. The mats are a little harder then other places which might be intimidating to beginners.

A nice bouldering gym with super friendly staff! The yellow level feels like V1/V2 in London/Taipei.

Large bouldering hall with a large children's area. Lots of boulders available and lots of overhangs. The seating area is large and there are also one or two drinks or a little something to eat. Staff is extremely friendly. You feel comfortable there.

One of the best bouldering gyms in Berlin. The atmosphere and vibe inside the gym is really good. There are a huge variety of routers to try. They have all types of routes for beginners to professionals. Also they reset each wall every 3-4 weeks, so you get plenty of time to try all routes or at least get your hands on.

Great space with a variety of interesting problems. I really enjoyed the overhang sections. 4/5 because, despite the fact that everything seems to be generally well maintained, I found one nail head sticking out near one of the climbing hold, and one slightly loose foot hold, which is not ideal and could be dangerous for climbers. The gym usually has interesting monthly community events so that’s a plus!

Definitely an interesting place. Not that crowded. 12€ daily ticket. 4€ shoes rental.

The idea is that it's a nice hall, but the implementation isn't so good: the wooden walls are nice, but you can't use the wall for bouldering. Apparently the routes are only designed for tall people (I'm 1.70m and sometimes it's hard to get to it, even more difficult for shorter friends). The hall isn't particularly big and the clientele is mega-hip in an unpleasant way. In the summer there is usually a shirtless dudes contest here... What's nice: the new yoga corner upstairs and the early bird rate applies until 3 p.m. If you are looking for more diverse routes, more space and a more relaxed atmosphere, you should go to Alt-Mariendorf or Pankow.

Wonderful challenging routes. From easy to difficult, everything is here. Employees are very friendly.

Tons & tons of problems with a wide variety of difficulties. They use a 6-tier grading scale from easiest to hardest based on colored tags. There is a small coffee bar inside & a reading / chill-out nook. Great vibes & English accessible. Also nice & clean. My only minor complaint is there weren't many downclimbs. Had a great time & will probably stop by again before heading home.

Excellent gym, great routesetters, lots of good problems. Generally the atmosphere is very nice even at evenings when it's busy and full. Also the coffee is better than it has any right to be.

This is a great place to work on everything you need to be a good rock climber. Challenging runs, a little gym area to practice hanging and lift weights, and even a yoga practice area where they offer free classes a few times a week. It’s very relaxed, lots of area to lounge and enjoy a coffee or delicious homemade brownie. It can get really busy at random times so just go and don’t be worried about the crowd, everyone is very friendly. There is even a whole area dedicated for kids who are 3+ years old. All in all the best local spot!

The people and staff are great but the route setting is really antiquated and frustrating compared to the other boulder gyms in Berlin. The routes have arbitrary difficulty which is not consistent across the grades. The BK route difficulty isn't increased by adding interesting twists or moves to the routes, but rather by just adding oddly positioned crimp holds or a sloper on an overhang. I've been to pretty much all boulder gyms in Berlin and the routes are just more fun to climb in the other Gyms, regardless of difficulty. They also have way too few dyno routes.

Love this bouldering gym! However, when we were there the person at the reception was not the friendliest to say the least. She seemed like she didn't want to work (understandable but) and gave us the shoes wrong size twice and as if she was doing us a favour. It didn't ruin our experience obviously but it didn't give us a great feeling either.

It's really a lot of fun, I come by 2-3 times a year. You really sweat it out, so maybe you don't show up in your best gym outfit. The walls are well mixed in terms of difficulty. The staff is very nice and the atmosphere is relaxed, music selection is also good! Particularly beautiful in summer when all the windows are open.

Nice bouldering gym! And very reasonably priced at 11 euro entrance (and 9 for students) Good mix between balancing and overhangs. They have a gym area off to the side with some hang boards. The only small complaint would be that some routes are very powdery

Great bouldering gym. Good diversity of routes for me, as an intermediate climber. I really appreciate the slab wall, lots of fun routes. Kind staff, good selection of snacks and fuel at the cafe as well.

Great gym, has plenty of 45 and roof. Good crimpy sets. Gets on the busy side in the evenings, has school kids in the day but only in kids areas. About €12 entry.

The children's area was very dirty. The magnesium used for climbing is logically in the air and then settles at the top in the children's area. Because it is not cleaned, the children involuntarily sniff it away. This type of dust is definitely not good for the little ones' lungs. Otherwise it's well made and a pleasant atmosphere.

Great club, friendly staff and the problems are properly graded. Fun challenges and also a cozy cave area upstairs. There is no shower but you can use the one they have in the building next door.

Lovely gym with good set routes. However, I would prefer a different location for the moonboard. The training room is always crowded and quite narrow for a good training.

Great bouldering gym, has a lot of space and plenty of routes. Could be a little better organized and the locker room could use some space but otherwise it's great!

The place it self is completely fine for bouldering alone or with friends. I dislike the slippery walls a bit, but the routes are interesting and the variety is good. Bad about the place is that they are very kids unfriendly. We got kicked out with our two years old despite the website said you can bring kids if one adult watches over two kids. We were watching over one kid with four adults. So no recommendation for families.

A quintessential bouldering gym in the heart of kreuzberg, it's hard to find any complaints. The hours are long, the routes are set frequently, beer and coffee are always available. Additionally, there's a moonboard in the back training room.

Lovely bouldering gym with a wide range of often very tricky routes and lots of variety. Higher than average difficulty throughout, expect to be grounded.

Very nice staff and also the assortment of food and beverage is lovely. Always a bit too crowded, but therfore easy to get to by public transport. 10min from Görlitzer Bahnhof, or Schönleinstrasse.

Really great place for children to try the sport. We were half an hour earlier than the booked slot but the reception allowed us in, understandably and probably, because we were there early Sunday morning and it was relatively empty. There is a changing room with lockers and a shower too. Conveniently, close to the Maybachufer Markt which made a great full day outing for a child.

Nicest staff I have met at a boulder gym in Berlin (and this is my 4th gym). None of the exclusive feel of Kegel. Just good thoughtful climbs in a welcoming atmosphere. I went to try on new shoes and the staffer today (8/7) was patient and informative as I selected a new pair. Grateful for his kind presence in my day!

Favorite Boulder club for me, personal top1 and already recommended it to all my friends. Atmosphere is helpful, not a lot of people, prices are low, and boulder are really challenging

It takes only one unintuitive person with zero willingness to help, to destroy the entire experience. Because they make you feel like you made a mistake, that you didn’t do things right. Sadly, in Berlin this happens more often than not. Otherwise this is a nice place with many routes. Gets definitely overcrowded in the evening. Also, as a newcomer to bouldering, I found the colour coding sometimes confusing (some green routes were more difficult than blue routes).

this gym has a great vibe. I really liked it. Even though boulders a bit hard and spicy, they all set quite well and you can see setters spent time creating them. I did 3 grey but blacks were really another level. all in all 5 stars, really recommended!

My favourite place to boulder in Berlin. Centrally located, practical to get to, with challenging boulders, which regularly get switched out over time. The place is also quite clean and well lit.

  • 4/5 NT 2 years ago on Google
Great space for a climb, it can get pretty crowded even with the booking system. Climbing shoes for rental do not go smaller than 37 (which I guess means most climber either bring their own shoes or just don’t have feet that small when renting!), walls are pretty low, but you’re still able to do some decent climbs as the range of routes work for beginners to experts.

I visited here while in Berlin briefly. It’s a really good gym with a good variety of boulder routes.

Decent modern bouldering gym. Visited during a quick stay in Berlin. Pretty easy to find, reasonably affordable entry cost, no hassle with waivers etc (both good and bad I guess). Not massive but plenty enough to get on. Did everything up to and including the red circuit. Greys looked cool but a bit too hard for just a quick session. Setting was good. Felt more movement based instead of strength based. Like, once you have the technique for something it should feel pretty easy. Good variety of angles, personally would’ve liked a bit more steep/roof. Nice atmosphere, friendly people, good music. Was quite busy but I guess that’s any bouldering gym during the evening these days. Would’ve liked a bit more variety in hold types. Was a lot of modern macros, and super easy edges. Not so many pockets and so on. Could also use a better light in the training area. Was psyched to find a moonboard but as a climber with impaired vision, it was just too dingy in there for me. Solid 4.5/5 from me. Will be back next time in in Berlin for sure

Children's slots booked, hall very cold, employees condescending when asked if it could be heated. Parents who let their children run through the hall with folding cots, greasy pieces of bread on the mats. Construction site in the adjacent adult area, impact wrench, drill, flex, super loud. Was here often, from now on I prefer the bouldering garden.
