If you want to have progress or enjoy group trainings, avoid this place. The management only promise to fix it all and they never do.

It’s very all encompassing with lots variety as far as equipment goes. The space is bright with lots of windows and super spacious with many different workout areas. They offer luxury amenities like sauna, pool, drink and coffee dispensers and so forth. There are fitness classes as well. They even offer daily and weekly passes for visitors which is not common in other gyms here in Berlin and it even allows access to their multiple locations. Definitely check this place out guys, it won’t disappoint !

Coming from Australia for a German Christmas, the weight of the guilt of all the delicious food was dawning on me. I knew action needed to be taken. As a Fitness First Member in Australia, I knew the trusty gym was my target for the release of my guilt. Coming to the Fitness First at Berlin Gendarmenmart is like walking into Willy Wonkas Chocolate factory and seeing everything you could possibly want in a gym and more. There’s a pool, a sauna, a steam room, a relaxation area, massage facilities and a wide range of group classes. After my time in this gym, I feel healthy, relaxed and motivated to go back. The staff were incredibly charismatic and accommodating and the gym is one the cleanest gym I have laid eyes on with extremely well maintained equipment. Gendarmenmarkt Fitness First has really put any of the Fitness First gyms in Australia I’ve attended to shame.

This is my favorite fitness club with sauna and swimming pool and other services. State-of-the-art training equipment, many different areas. There is also the option to take towels with you so you don't have to carry them around. Very friendly staff, they always help solve any problem. The hall is so big and everything is so clean.

Never had enough "balls" to make it til there. Kindly fix the leg curl machines - one is broken since November '18 and the second one is broken too at the moment, this is unacceptable for a Platinum brand. Usually we are running out of mats if the gym is too crowded, it is quite annoying that in order to get a stretching band we need to go down to the reception leave our membership card after go back return the band and get back your card. You can't find ankle weights there. It is hard to get the free "body check" appointment once in 6 months, but not impossible :) So far not bad, 3 strong stars are well deserved. Gym is good, showers are always dirty and not cleaned often. The biggest problem is the accounts team, impossible to get a response from them, they change how much they charge you. No idea why, no communication from fitness first. Very bad customer service have requested to cancel Membership as soon as I can.

A decent gym that I would reccomend to people, but I don’t know how to answer on why it’s so expensive. Too crowded for this type of a gym, internet is not working most of the times, so you can’t even use the screens on the machines, locker rooms so and so clean, besides cardio the rest of the machines are not enough for the amount of people. In a nutshell; an average gym that should be way cheaper, or at least offer something more premium - free towels, a welcome package etc, free juice or at least coffee. Amazing location, big pool and friendly employess.

Good central location, spacious large gym, plenty of cardio machines, free train area and weights. The downside is, the weight equipments could sorely use some updating and replacements. Some are just old and no longer the intuitive models and falls behind the 'premium gyms' standards. Also, they could use some layout changes and add more machines so there isn't just one machine for assisted weightlifting, one abductor machine, one chest press etc etc. The showers are pretty disgusting. It's like a prison shower-one soap for everything, open plan, 2 drains for 6 old shower heads. Not cheap, spending around 75 euros per month for this gym but honestly if there was a better gym in a similar area with newer weight machines, I would change in a heart beat. Also, the club should really hire a full time cleaner just to wipe down all the dust on the equipments, disinfect the floors, changing room and showers and invest in cleaning more especially during the covid times. They expect members to clean up their machines but wiping down handles is not enough. I've been a Fitness First member in other countries prior like Hong Kong and Singapore. Love the gym brand and other locations invest much more into cleanliness than the one here in Berlin.

I'm a visiting student and was looking for a short term gym (no year long commitment, but cheap prices) and came across this one. The staff were so helpful and nice. The gym feels very spacious and wasn't too busy at lunch hour. Separate change rooms, sauna and showers for women. They even gave me a keycard to lock my locker.

So overall super lousy place - they promise about e gym but it can take up to a month to show you how it works - and they don’t want to take initiative to make time for it. They will take your 80 euros registration fees immediately but will make you wait —- as per their wish. Being little customer friendly won’t hurt..

I have been in Fitness First years ago and even when the one from Alexanderplatz was open but I was sadly disappointed today (coming back after years to try again the areas) of the hygiene on the sauna & showers.
