very pleasant atmosphere in the hall. Attentive, friendly trainer. I would love to take a course again. The sauna completes the experience!

The hall likes very much. Is not over-visited. I find the routes interesting P.S. Two lead autobelay systems are installed

Magic Mountain is a special place: great infrastructure with beautiful walls, lockers, gym, sauna, cafe… and fantastic staff. My wife and I have done a few courses and sessions and the vibe there is just outstanding. We even took our kids there, that now love the place

Very large climbing surface area, among which only ~ 30% is top rope -> bring your own rope and a partner - lead climbing necessary. If you are alone, automatic belaying systems in place (7-8) with reasonable grade routes. Contrary to Belgium, difficult to find a partner on-site if you're looking for it - unless you get to the appointment organized by the gym. Style of routes is not very diversified, a lot of similar movements.

I really enjoy coming here but I have to remove one star because the crowds have become overwhelming in the past few weeks, specifically with children running around everywhere with little supervision, often with no regard to safety. There are a lot of kids’ birthdays celebrated here and it really feels as if it’s just a place where parents drop of the children to be entertained—there really isn’t much climbing involved. I support introducing children to climbing but there needs to be some limitations to group size and bookings so that adult climbers still have room to climb, especially safely.

I was a little disappointed today. The steam sauna was broken again (it happened last week) and the toilets were totally dingy. I understand your current price increase, but for €20/person I just want clean washrooms and a functioning steam sauna. The busyness on Sunday afternoon comes as no surprise to you. Please ensure that the washrooms are cleaned and the D-Sauna is repaired every now and then. Thank you very much 🙏

It's nice, but if you don't have a climbing license you can't do most of it

The hour “Familienkletter” was a great introduction for our family. We got a lay of the land and then could climb with the self belay after the hour course. The staff were very friendly. The steam room was also a nice perk.

AMAZING CLIMBING! 🧗‍♂️ Routes are really cool, for every level, and they change them every week 🐒⚡️ Staff is super friendly, and they have a sauna to relax after a good climbing exercise 🙌🏼 they also have courses for every level! 100% recommended

Rock Climbing was a school sport activity for me in high school and I wanted to be able to do it with my child. The courses for children are for half yearly and having them on weekends especially Sundays was perfect for working parents. Courses include proper shoes and other equipments necessary for the sport. The facilities are clean and a changing room with lockers were also provided. The instructors were very patient and understanding. My child was enthusiastic about climbing and because a little figure can be found at each summit, it motivates the child to complete the climb. However, fear of heights was a challenge to overcome. I'm proud of how both instructor and child were able to progress together. Thank you, Oliver and Team :) Children are also able to get a climbing certificate (Kletterabzeichen) in Bronze, Silver or Gold so we are planning to return soon for another course. All the receptionists were really kind and are also able to communicate in English. However, for any other enquiries that are not found on their website, the best person would be directly to Jakob. We are so grateful that we were able to manage 3 missed lessons without complications as we were away on holiday. One can also arrange birthday parties here which we would definitely consider in future!

Lots of variety in the climbing paths. Staff are really helpful (in German and English). I took the “taster” course for beginners and the top rope and all the trainers were excellent and super helpful. Also really enjoy the free women’s meet-up on Wednesday nights. Really love this climbing hall! Highly recommend using the sauna as well.

The kids were thrilled (seven and eleven years old) and had a very nice and competent trainer, Oliver Schmidt, who explained everything to them wonderfully. The children definitely want to come back… Thank you, it was great! This was our second time for an introductory course with Oliver Schmidt. This time there were a total of six children that he looked after in 2 hours. He did it very well again, all six children were constantly involved, no one was neglected, everyone was able to climb high, it was a lot of fun to watch. The children enjoyed it so much that they want to come climbing again. Thank you very much

I've been climbing here for years now and have taken some courses. Good to great staff across the board and a pleasant well cared for location. It is a a bit expensive co pared to the bouldering urban sports club but their is a lot more to it considering the size of the routes, ropes, safety, etc. Love that they have a large outdoor area, always there in Summer!

Very very large climbing hall with creative routes for everyone up to 11 difficulty. Also a big boulder wall. It has a pretty big kids place with smaller walls to climb too. Also there is a fitness and workout area you can use as well as the Sauna. There is a kiosk too and if you need equipment you can get it there

Very big and well equipped place. The staff is nice and helpful. In addition to the climbing and bouldering areas, they have a small gym for doing strength and cardio, a sauna, a steam room. Showers, toilets and lockers are available (but bring your soaps).

Thank you for a successful birthday party for our 9 year old son. He and his friends had an incredible amount of fun and joy - not least because of the two trainers who accompanied us. Great and thank you very much! Clear recommendation.

I highly recommend the intro course to every beginner. There is a good variety of walls (difficulties, heights and techniques) to climb - even on the lowest levels - and the course groups are kept very small which makes for a pleasant start and allows the trainer to work closely with you. We had Jannik as an instructor, who was super attentive the whole time and a joy to learn with. He made sure we got as much fun out of it as possible, wasn’t in a rush and even took some extra time afterwards for a few last instructions. All in all it was a great experience and I’m looking forward to come back for more advanced courses!

It was wonderful celebrating our daughter's birthday at Magic Mountain! The teacher was incredibly insightful and engaging, and the staff was very nice. The decoration was beautiful and thought out down to the smallest detail. The girls had so much fun and it was an unforgettable experience for everyone! Thank you for this great day!

Very nice experience! We booked a 2h beginner course for my girlfriend and I. We were a group of 6 with one teacher, which was super nice, patient and explained well (also in English, which was great since we don't speak German very well!). For 2h we were split in two groups of three and trained for top rope. All happened outside and we tried different difficulties. Overall a very nice experience that convinced us to keep going!

Really nice place for climbing. I am really not a climber but they have good installations for all levels of experience. They have a price for day, on top of that small prices for equipment rental. All the prices are perfectly clear in their website and on site so no surprises. They have from what I could see four types of climbing: small boulder one to climb without harness. One were you could go with another person and one "holds" the other from the bottom, I think is called Belay but you need a course to be able to do it. One were you in a harness are secured to a rope that helps you descend. And another for two people were you have to secure the rope along the route, that looked like mountain climbing. Also they have some walls outside, and spa and fitness area. The staff was lovely and they speak English. They also have some events and other stuff on the website.

The six kids had a lot of fun at the two-hour birthday party with the guide Eberhard. Everyone climbed enough meters, was able to test their limits and then enjoyed muffins and lemonade. The kids were all 11 years old. Would do the same again with one of my other kids!

Simple organization and communication. The children's trial climbing course is not too easy and not too difficult. It was perfect for 7 year old. The trainer (David) was super pro and nice. You can bring your own food or order something there. The hot chocolate was delicious. We will definitely come again.

Before you can climb here, you first have to provide all your data including your cell phone number for registration - the data octopus sends its regards. It was also not allowed to belay with a figure of eight, even Luis Trenker would have been forbidden by the “block attendant” behind the counter to belay his daughter - she was then only allowed to belay. But they still charged the full price - even kids aged 3 and over have to pay. And the shop is still half a construction site - the flooring has just been replaced.

Basically a nice place to climb, at least if you're somewhat experienced. The price is quite high compared to the competition, so a family trip quickly becomes expensive. However, the friendliness of the team is mediocre at best. You should actually recommend that the owners train their employees in communication and customer friendliness. From here on, the text is more for the employees/operators there: ...examples include "that's not a figure eight knot...when was your last training session... etc." Hearing it without asking is relatively intimidating for visitors. This is not about the underlying safety instructions. We (hopefully all of us) gratefully accept it! It's about the arrogant nature of it. In addition, in the knot example, even though it was knotted correctly, it was just slightly twisted. But then on the other side you see creepy abseiling activities by people in the overcrowded area (on the weekend) where no one says anything - hardly surprising in the crowded, bustling area. But it goes further: afterwards I told the lady that I didn't like the way she was addressed and would recommend that she use different words next time. Because then you even felt in good hands, maybe even safe. But she replied that she saw it completely differently. Maybe it was just the person's inexperience, hence my recommendation: training is needed here.

It is a great place that works as a gym or for rock climbing. The only reason I am not going it five stars is because at The reception you need to give them alot of information which takes some time.

  • 2/5 Dries L. 3 years ago on Google
It’s packed during the weekends because they have time slots for Urban Sports Club M members, so everyone comes at the same time. Also, the staff reminded me 3 times about these rules and all the extra euros they charge for not following the rules, extremely exhausting. 2 stars because the climbing is good.

  • 4/5 William 1 year ago on Google
Very good climbing gym, only two things in my opinion to improve: replace guided bench and squat with free weights and barbells in the warm-up/training area; second it would be amazing to have higher routes, but there's still lot of variety. All the best!

  • 4/5 Konrad 2 years ago on Google
Great climbing gym and super friendly staff. When I was there, there was a child's birthday and children were running around like crazy, it was quite dangerous - especially in the boulder areas. Maybe better come here during the week

Me and my partner were absolute beginners. The trainer David explained everything to us very patiently, even in English, as my partner doesn't speak German. Not only were we able to climb, we were also able to practice and understand the context of securing each other. So it was a lot of fun. I will definitely climb again.

20 euros entry is overpriced. Many groups of children block the self-protection systems. As a solo climber you don't pay the entrance fee. The boulders are either too easy or too difficult again.

My 8-year-old daughter attended Oliver's trial course with her friends; it was her first climbing experience. It was great and she had so much fun that she really wants to take a real climbing course. The trainer explained everything very well and led the small group (6 children) through the afternoon. So they were able to climb to the summit and were as proud as ever. Thank you for this great experience!
