In general its a very nice beach to go if you live in Berlin, but the whole point of the entrance fee is to keep the maintenance of the place up to date, but most toilets and changing rooms were out of order and sealed off. Seems they are not keeping the place functioning. Very sad, as its a nice place to relax on weekends.

This bathing beach is just what the doctor ordered. From quiet landscaped vistas, to the cool waters that run along sweeping estates. This watering hole was visited during a supervised field trip. The buildings promenade date back to the 1920’s. There is a nude section that is plenty of space from the viewing eye of children. Plenty of bathrooms, and the concession stand serves the best Currywurst. There is a volleyball court, giant chess board, and an old water slide with large old clock among the coast. My students enjoyed the day, and so did I. By the way, there is some WW II historical sites not too far.

Lovely ´beach' by Lake Wannsee. Clean sand and clean facility. Much cleaner than when I visited 31 years ago. Excellent value at €5•50. Beach has showers, foot baths' and strandkorbchen (seats with a wicker canopy for shelter from elements) and ' resort attendants checking on antisocial behaviour and a few stalls selling drinks and snacks. Beautiful walk through the forest from Nickolaisee u-bahn.

Crowded on weekends. Please buy an online ticket before going there and don't take any glass items with you. One of the best and largest beaches in Berlin. This time there is too much algae in the water.

It is just like a zoo, human zoo, where you have to pay entrance fees. No feeling of freedom, especially when you see those iron gates. The idea of an original beach feeling is therefore ruined. Besides I don't like beaches where you are conditioned how many hours to stay. A beach in nature should be costless and people should be allowed to come and go whenever they want to. This kind of beaches are nothing but disappointment.

Don’t purchase tickets online. Ended up being charged double. Don’t recommend, very inefficient entry procedure and unfriendly staff. Had to wait 2 hours in line. Also we were not allowed to bring our reusable glass bottle inside. Sad!

We spent a day enjoying sands, sun and the water. The cool thing was that it was not too crowded like other open free places. I believe 9€ for three persons worth it.

The beach itself is nice. Good water, good sand, fun for the kids. Line at the entrance a bit long, but goes relatively fast. Food situation is abysmal. Only one functioning food place at the whole beach full of people. You have to wait an hour to get anything to eat. If you want to enjoy your time at the beach instead of spending half of it in the line for food like I did, eat before or bring your own food.

A money grab to enjoy nature. ~5 to get in plus 15 to rent the tiny little covered benches that are helpful but not essential. We just used the shade of it which probably discouraged anyone from renting it so it’s kind of a losing situation for them. Food stalls/massage stalls/equipment rental are a great idea and the only thing that should cost money. I mean, it’s a lake in Berlin, not a beach in Miami or Greece. They close at 7 while the sun is still up so no chance to enjoy the sunset or soak in the rest of the rays. My biggest pet peeve is gatekeeping nature. Makes me miss summers on the beach in Florida building bonfires and lounging as long as we want. Mind you, they announce they close at seven then spend the next hour harassing you over the loudspeakers every ten minutes. It’s loud and annoying and ruins the fun mood. Would I go again? Maybe. But these are things to keep in mind. Only during the week as the line on weekends is hours long.

The price, quality and everything was nice. The place for ordering food didn’t accept a card. That was the only trouble. I will visit this place again. It was so clean and staff were so kind.

This place offers a lot for full day activities. You can relax at beach , do swimming, play volleyball etc. The entry ticket is 5.50 euro per person which is quite odd. This was the first time i paid something for a beach apart from this place was good.

5.5 per person with a single entrance, you cannot enter with the same ticket again! There are showers, cabinets and fast food places. If you want to take the sunbed, it will cost additionally. Water was a bit muddy but it is okay. No deep for some distance.

A really nice lake side beach. The entrance is 5.5 euros per person which is very reasonable. You can also rent a beach chair for 2 for 8 euros. The sand is very soft and the water is surprisingly shallow. It's a really nice place to relax on the weekend before getting back to work on Monday. It is definitely busier on the weekend and would recommend coming in the morning to secure a beach chair if you want one. There is a food place and giant chess if you fancy. Overall a great place.

Great place for a bath. During this pandemic there are limited places available and the social distancing is respected in full. Be carefull to book a place online as you can't buy tickets on the spot! For kinds is great because the water is shallow for 20-30m.

A really nice beach in Berlin <3. The best I have been so far. The sand beach is quite long and the water goes shallow for quite a while. Great place to swim and hang out with your friends. There are also some food options around and toilets.

The fourth star is mostly for sentimental value, the old-timey vibe and the warm feeling I have for this place. Don't get me wrong, it is still a nice place to go and lie in the sand, have a swim every now and then and get fries or ice cream. The sandy beach is unique and you have everything you need for a day at the beach. Also, there is an extra FKK area further down the beach. However, I went here with my grandma every summer when I was a kid and it will always hold a special place in my heart, but sadly its glory days are long gone. Of the many changing rooms there once were, only one is open, the upper promenade I remember happily skipping along as a kid is closed off nowadays, probably because the old structures are not safe any more. Part of the structure has already been demolished and all that remains are steel beams which held up the stone structure before and on one end an old event location lies abandoned. The former food and beach supply vendors are fewer these days, but you can still rent beach loungers and "Strandkörbe". Even though the poor state of the old buildings are probably to be attributed to the few funds that are possible to invest in reconstruction, renovation and remodelling, to be honest, it does add a little to the fascination of this place, because just like lost places, you can still imagine the old splendour while walking down the lower beach promenade. So, if you are in the market for a nice day at the beach, watching boats sail by, and a little melancholy, maybe have something interesting to see, you will definitely find what you are looking for here.

Lovely beach, water is quite clean. There’s plenty of shady space to sit under - provided by big, luscious trees. You can also rent chairs but we didn’t try that one out. The fact that only one set of toilets was open was frustrating - you ended up having to go 700m to the toilet. Despite that, I’d go again!

Very good place for families with kids because the water is not deep (you have to walk a lot in order to be able to swim). Good infrastructure, clean sand, food and drinks are available. Better book tickets online. Don't forget that it's not possible to bring ANY glass with you (drinks or food in jars and bottles).

A very good place to enjoy with family!! The entry ticket is around 3.8 euros but is worth it. You'll see how beautifully it is maintained. You can also eat a wide variety of things here! Must visit!

  • 4/5 Erika H. 7 months ago on Google
We were there on a Wednesday afternoon, even though the weather was hot we didn't have to wait at all because we had purchased tickets online. You gotta show your physical ID (also a driver's license was enough) and then just scan your QR code at the gate. We rented out one of the beach chairs and it was only 5 EUR after 2pm. Then they give you a flag to put on your chair. The only downside was that a lot of the chairs were already occupied by other people who had not paid (no flag means they hadn't paid) so we had to ask other people to leave (they already told us at the cashier that if we can't find a free chair without people we can also ask the guards) but luckily the people gave us the chair. The water was very warm but it is very shallow beach (good for kids) but otherwise you gotta walk up quite a bit to be able to swim. There's a cafe (cash only) which had quite a long queue the whole time and the bathrooms were nice an clean. Overrall a good experience!

The place is really nice, close to the city and easy to go by S-bahn. It gets very crowded on weekends an holidays. Better buy your tickets online, otherwise you might find yourself queuing with hundreds of people. And maybe don't go hungry, as places selling food are the most crowded and the food is rather poor. For drinks, everything goes fast.

  • 4/5 Irena Z. 2 years ago on Google
Really nice place, I just don’t like you have to choose a time slot. Either you have to leave at 3pm or go there at 4pm. You can’t stay between these hours. The water is kinda clean with some green stuff, but it’s a lake, not sea, so it’s expected. Sooo long lines at the snacks, bring your own food.

  • 5/5 Christina O. 1 year ago on Google

Docked one star because this one time we went there was a thick green algae(hoping that’s what it was. Really a mystery slime) floating on top of the water. It turned my friend right off and now she won’t ever come back. I love it though. Not the slime part. The cute lake and Sandy beach.

  • 5/5 András K. 1 year ago on Google
It is a bit far away from the mid town but the Beach is really nice. The water could be a bit clearer, the queue could be 1 km shorter (purchase online tickets!) But it's worth it on a hot summer day for sure. Lovely view from the sandy beach I think.

(Translated by Google) Dirty would be to put it mildly, the garbage was piled up at the lifeguard's house, on the edges, in the bushes, etc. And there was also a lot of garbage in the sand, which led to it being swarmed with wasps and flies, the smell wasn't really nice either . There were only 3 garbage cans about 150m away, from our "guests / newcomers" I do not even start really .. Shisha, marijuana and open fire were a matter of course for them (my daughter had many other kids there were also interested Gentlemen did not respond to speech, on the contrary they became aggressive)!

(Translated by Google) Better not write anything about the almost decaying bathroom. This bathing establishment is from a time, let's say 70s. The bathing company or the city should quickly hand over this actually beautiful bath to a private operator. Because like now you have to be ashamed as a Berliner! Gastro is so bad. Toilets that make you cry ?. Please hand in this actually beautiful system. You can't. Completely conceptless. ! Vollkommen Konzeptlos. ! Note : - 5
