The
fourth
star
is
mostly
for
sentimental
value,
the
old-timey
vibe
and
the
warm
feeling
I
have
for
this
place.
Don't
get
me
wrong,
it
is
still
a
nice
place
to
go
and
lie
in
the
sand,
have
a
swim
every
now
and
then
and
get
fries
or
ice
cream.
The
sandy
beach
is
unique
and
you
have
everything
you
need
for
a
day
at
the
beach.
Also,
there
is
an
extra
FKK
area
further
down
the
beach.
However,
I
went
here
with
my
grandma
every
summer
when
I
was
a
kid
and
it
will
always
hold
a
special
place
in
my
heart,
but
sadly
its
glory
days
are
long
gone.
Of
the
many
changing
rooms
there
once
were,
only
one
is
open,
the
upper
promenade
I
remember
happily
skipping
along
as
a
kid
is
closed
off
nowadays,
probably
because
the
old
structures
are
not
safe
any
more.
Part
of
the
structure
has
already
been
demolished
and
all
that
remains
are
steel
beams
which
held
up
the
stone
structure
before
and
on
one
end
an
old
event
location
lies
abandoned.
The
former
food
and
beach
supply
vendors
are
fewer
these
days,
but
you
can
still
rent
beach
loungers
and
"Strandkörbe".
Even
though
the
poor
state
of
the
old
buildings
are
probably
to
be
attributed
to
the
few
funds
that
are
possible
to
invest
in
reconstruction,
renovation
and
remodelling,
to
be
honest,
it
does
add
a
little
to
the
fascination
of
this
place,
because
just
like
lost
places,
you
can
still
imagine
the
old
splendour
while
walking
down
the
lower
beach
promenade.
So,
if
you
are
in
the
market
for
a
nice
day
at
the
beach,
watching
boats
sail
by,
and
a
little
melancholy,
maybe
have
something
interesting
to
see,
you
will
definitely
find
what
you
are
looking
for
here.
