it is an old venerable restaurant which defines its charm by being a bit run down. Hard to complain, prices are expensive but reasonable for this area. Beer prices for half a liter are still less than €5, which is rare these days. The Berlin Sausage Salad took a little getting used to because of the slightly delicate tasting cheese, but it was still easy to chew and digest. the staff was on point and friendly.

Love how this is still preserved since the early 1900s. Delicious menu, cozy atmosphere and fine wines too. Highly recommend it!

Vintage lovers should definitely go there especially in the early afternoon when it is still not so busy. Try some wine and very local food. Have a chat with the waiters. Take a walk around the place to feel the vibe. Enjoy the garden. Look outside the windows and other areas. It's beautiful.

I really liked my experience there and the food was delicious. Definitely on a food coma afterwards! The only thing I wish was different is being able to get a reservation easier; while I was there the restaurant was pretty full but they still had some tables free even though it showed complete booked on the reservations platform and people were turned away…

The space is amazing and beautiful. The restaurant‘s service is unfortunately not very good compared to this amazing space. The wine for which you pay 6 - 7 € a glass, seems like a wine tasting.

You travel back in time when you enter in this restaurant. The service was good and quick, the food are based on the classic German dishes like the wienerschnitzel or the flammenkuschen. It was not high gastronomy but it's not what you expect from it. It was well done and very good.

Been loads here, always great to take non-Berliners here in summer! Lots of classic German food. Usually seasonal food, I always like to come for Asparagus season. Stunning location, one of few remaining ballrooms in Germany. Great exterior, lots of nature, with the beautiful old facade of the building and some lights toward the evening. And worthy to mention: the service had always been very kind and proper (traditional in the most positive way) restaurant service. Always gives me a bit of a holiday vibe, contrasting the try-hard leger Mitte area around.

Wonderful outdoor location! The food was nice - I would say German cuisine with a nice twist. I had the Grilled Cheese Sandwich which was really good. All in all a very pleasant experience.

A must visit during the summer time, so that you can sit in the terrace and enjoy the idyllic vibe. It felt like in a movie scene. A tip for everyone; you better reserve the table, otherwise you’ll need to wait at least 30 minutes. All in all, I love everything about this place.

Quite a nice outdoor seating area, with nice evening ambiance too. The beer is cold, the meatballs were juicy! (I find that they tend to be pretty dry when you order them in other places!) I can also recommend the Truffle flammkuchen, that was pretty unique! You can pay with card 👌

Dinner and wine with friends. The space take you back to 1920. It is a real ballroom, on the floors above it is still used a such. Food was great, but the wine collection was even better. 5 years old Mosel Riesling for 30 euros, perfectly chilled. Great place, not too many tourists.

A fantastic space to have a restaurant and bar. It has beautiful Art Deco lamps and a wonderful boho chic feel. A great space which can accommodate a large number of people. I had the schnitzel which was great (the potatoes were especially good). The pancakes are to die for! Truly awesome! The staff were all particularly nice and you can use a debit card to pay if your bill is over €20. Well worth a visit even if just to see the building.

Really recommend this restaurant! Nice place in a good neighborhood. There are a lot of tables outside and inside so make it easy to get one.

I have heard a lot about this restaurant before. I understand leaving the old decor and style of the restaurant. Unfortunately, the soup, main course and dessert were correct, although the meat was not very juicy. It's a shame that the restaurant didn't offer any compensation for my sweater, which was doused with asparagus soup by the waiter. The staff apologized but the sweater did not wash off.

Absolut empfehlenswert.

Very agreeable atmosphere and great decor you are in a very vintage, cost and green place in an old building with a garden. The food is decent.

Went there primarily to dance tango as advertised in local website as well as to eat. Disappointed to find no tango but meal excellent and service exceptional. Fairly expensive but will go back .

Wonderful location! The kitchen is delicious and if you want to learn how to dance you can also book a course. Highly recommended location!

So I had two different experiences there. First one I went for dinner. We sat inside, the service was super fast. The food was super delicious and worth the price. 5 stars. Second time I went there in the afternoon. Sat outside. We wanted to get an Ice coffee, so asked the waiter if they had it. He said yes and we sat down. Were waiting for a long time. Asked another waitress who was passing by if we would be able to get an Ice coffee here. She said they don't have it on the menu, but they can arrange. When we could finally order, with a third waitress, she was super surprised and said no, they do not serve Ice cream at all and that she could only give a coffee with ice cubes in it... So fine, if they don't serve it, but then maybe give us the full information the first two times we ask. 2 stars (as the place is still beautiful).

The garden is lovely and this restaurant has a nice atmosphere, the food is ok, I only tried the Berliner wurst and had a few drinks. If the weather is nice, it’s worth a visit and make sure to sit in the garden
