Just overall bad atmosphere and unhelpful staff. We tried to leave after terrible service and they refused to let us go even though the food wasn’t on the table, they became very aggressive and we were forced to stay and eat their mediocre (at best) plain food. Not even worth a 1 star, I do not recommend.

DO NOT GO HERE! The food was mediocre, but when I made a complaint that there was an ingredient that I’m allergic to in the burrito that was clearly not listed on the menu I was met with swift and rude pushback from the manager. He was so rude and said in German that, “ja bohnen” which means “beans,” not peas. He made a huge stink about it and after me arguing my point he finally gave in, removed the burrito (which I had only eaten about 10% of) from my bill and then deducted it from my waitresses pay because somehow she was ignorant of the ingredients. The most disturbing part was when I returned 3-4 days later to speak to the ultimate boss. I was standing the whole time near the edge of the street away from the restaurant so that I wasn’t intruding and hindering pedestrians from passing between myself and the restaurant. I politely asked to see the boss, and after about 10 minutes I flagged the waiter that I originally asked and pointed to the guy that I knew was A manager (he was the one giving me issues) and asked for his boss. This guy was talking to a few of his friends standing about 6 feet from me and a few minutes later I was surrounded by three men asking me why I was there, what I was doing, why I wanted to make a complaint, etc. It was complete mob mentality and intimidation. I’m not a tough guy nor am I a wimp, but I felt scared. I raised my voice and told them to keep their distance so that all of the outside diners could hear so that nothing violent happened. After about 20-30 seconds of this they finally went away and funny enough another American flashed his Big 12 T-shirt as a means to tell me that there are others here that will help you. After the guys backed off I went to speak to the Americans and they said they had my back. I don’t think I’ve ever had an incident like this before that was such a clear cut means of intimidation. The food wasn’t great, management clearly doesn’t take complaints well, and as anyone that hasn’t been here before I would avoid it at all costs!

If you come with high expectations of Mexican food, this is not the right place but the place have good food. I tried the chicken wings and it was delicious. The margaritas are good. I recommend it. There is good music. The staff speaks English. The service was excellent. You can pay by card or cash.

Except for the location, everything was disappointing. The interiors look outdated . Seriously, in the heart of alexanderplatz , this is a relatively new restaurant , but the decor is so not modern and aesthetic with red and green lights evewhere in ceilings . And the food , lets say it was filling but didnot understand how mexican was that coming to the meat or the flavours. Everything from salads to dips piled up together on the plate, and the tortillas turning soggy within minutes.

The design and menue was so intresting. We went inside and wait for 30 minutes for the waiters to come and take our order. They kept telling that they would come to our table in 5 minutes. After 30 minuts they said that the kitchen is to crowded and they can not take our orders!! So inconsiderate and disrespectful!!!

We got the check without asking. While others were still eating, we had to leave from the waiter. I should have read the reviews before going. We were starving after a long day of traveling to get to Berlin and this was one of the first places you see. Because it was full of people I’ve assumed it would be good. It wasn’t - my rating is based on waiting time. We waited a good 40 minutes to get a platter with mozarella sticks potatoes and salad. After that we waited 15 more minutes to be served with our drinks which was outrageously expensive for a tiny glass with sparking wine and some lemon and orange juice. After an hour or so we got served the food. It is unacceptable to pay 13 euros for 2 hard shell tacos some rice and 2 teaspoons of sauces. The burrito on the other hand was full of filling and it was mostly rice cheese and beans instead with a tiny bit of minced meat. On the other hand, our friends got served a really nice veggie fajitas dish which was quite loaded. The staff was no where to be found at most times. We spent a good 2 hours in this place and majority of time was WAITING FOR FOOD. Please - just don’t waste your money going there, truthfully it wasn’t worth the wait and I’m pretty sure there are other restaurants out there who’d do a much better job than this one.

The food is terrible at this restaurant. We ordered cheese nachos as appetizer, and 2 burritos. All arrived together. the nachos were moist and flavorless, and the “burritos” were a bunch of boiled veggies (carrots, broccoli, zucchini) mixed in with (basmati!) rice, and rolled with the wrong kind of bread. Not even a trace of beans or avocado!! Avoid if you don’t want to be ripped off! We were still charged full price despite returning our plates right away.

The most ridiculous experience ever! We ordered some food, two sangrias and a bottle of water. When serving the drinks, the waiter unintentionally spilled the entire glass of sangria all over my sweater and my pants. Of course he apologized but as I got cold because I was soaked and it was 13 degrees outside where we were sitting, we asked him to just give us the food for takeaway. I went here with two friends on a Saturday evening around 7:30. The food was yummy but the service not very attentive. On the pics you can see a plate with beef, nachos with cheese and a piece of cake. They serve the typical Mexican food such as fajitas, tacos, nachos. Unbelievable that they served the latte macchiato with a straw made of plastic !!! In general the restaurant is in my opinion not the right place to chill with two or one friend you haven’t seen for a while. It’s kinda loud. But if afterwards you wanna hop on to the next club or party Cancun is a good start. The restaurant is really huge inside - it’s recommendable for big groups as well.

The cocktails are watered down. When asked to replace were told that this is how they serve them. I was asked if i would like another drink as a replacement, i asked for a beer, but was asked to get another drink to match the price of the moscow mule,so was forced to order another shot. This establishment has everything going for it: great location, upbeat music, amazing interior. I was really hoping to spend a lovely evening with my ladies there, but our time was spoilt by unprofessionalism and bad management. The waiters were all lovely and tried their best to cater for all the customers while being treated very badly by their manager. Customers are not valued and treated condescendingly. Tourist trap, rip off and scam. Please be careful with your bills... i would not recommend.

I used to go during lunch on weekdays, they have a good menu with many options and also a business lunch. Sometimes, the waiters don't share the business menu if you don't request it. Apart from that, everything is really good.

Cancun serves delicious Mexican food bang on in the centre of Berlin. The price to portion size ratio is perfect and the food is delicious. I particularly loved the corn soup which was out of this world and had a very unique flavor. The flautas were awesome as always. The chicken, in general was well cooked instead of overcooked which many other restaurants often tend to do unfortunately. The service was extremely warm and quick the first two times we were there. But the third time we visited, the service were neglectful. We were seated in a corner where it seemed like the waiters had forgotten about our existence. The atmosphere is lively and the location is prime. I can't wait for my next visit here.

We ordered three classic margaritas. They were just okay. We felt really uncomfortable when we were reminded that the service "was not included." That's not in line with the tipping culture in Europe. We didn't leave any tip since the service and the drinks weren't exceptional to deserve it.

Nice place right off Alexanderplatz. I guess this is a chain? Everybody was nice enough and the drinks were okay. Took a while for them to get to the table, which was strange since the restaurant was kinda empty. We had a nice time, and while the quality of the food was pretty good, the fajita was, well, not really Mexican food. Really big menu, so maybe we just got unlucky with the choice. The restaurant filled up pretty quickly.

Well the first time I wanted to try this place I went with some expectations of trying out good Mexican food, and I wasn't disappointed to say the least. Saturdays are fun!! They do have a lot of cocktails on their menu but I was not too impressed with the drinks, the food was awesome though. Definitely try the nachos (hope I said it right).

Great location in Alexander Platz, along with excellent service. The menu was exhaustive, but assuredly there’s something for everyone to enjoy. The drink menu was impressive, coupled with sunset views, can’t go wrong. Great spot to people watch from and enjoy the time outside.

The perfect place for the perfect weekend. Always go as a group, nothing to worry they have table for large number of guests. They serve very good cocktails and most of them are reasonable price. They do have menu that includes vegetarian and non vegetarian but I am not sure about the vegan dishes. I have tried couple of Mexican cuisine over there, the one I liked most is "Cancun plate" it was amazing. Even if they have written its for 2 people but 3 people can easily eat that. I would say always go with empty stomach there, you are gonna get amazed the quantity they serve. Last but not least, try to reserve the place if you are going as a group otherwise not needed. Absolutely fantastic food. My friend and I actually went for Dinner 3 nights on the trot whilst in Berlin; I never do this. Warm, clean, excellent food, large portions and very reasonable for a city. We were made so welcome by all staff.

I really wanted to like this place, because of the location and the food was great BUT the first time I tried it they gave me a glass with lipstick marks on it, I asked for them to change it but they just tried to wipe it so they gave the glass back wet and still has the lipstick mark, I had to ask them to change it for the second time to get a clean glass. The food was so good that I decided to give it a chance and I came back, then the waiter came and dropped a full glass of wine on me, then i found a hair in my food and they did nothing when I told them! Such a bad experience! TWO TIMES!
