Uns haben die guten Rezensionen in dieses Café geführt. Und was soll ich sagen, es war genial. Wir waren an einem warmen sonnigen Tag dort und haben sehr lecker gefrühstückt. Mitten in der City und doch in einer grünen Oase. Das Personal ist sehr professionell und höflich. Das Frühstück war ein Traum, es hat alles gepasst, sollten wir wieder in der Ecke sein, werden wir wieder dort frühstücken. Vielen Dank und weiter so.

This place has been on my bucket list and finally visited here on a Sunny Saturday morning We called a day before and they said walk-in. they were not flexible at all even no one showed up for the reserved tables. Complete breakfast meal took more than 30mins. We waited from breakfast to brunch eventually. the prices don’t worth the quality of coffee and food at all. Totally overpriced. The only nice thing here is the decorations and environment. Don’t expect to have good food here

Went there for breakfast on a Sunday. Luckily, we got a really nice table without any reservation. Relaxed atmosphere, friendly service, not quick service. Food was good, coffee too. Prices a little higher than many other venues, but the nice location and interior makes up for it.

Relaxed atmosphere with a nice garden and terrace in a traditional Berlin mansion. The service is very warm and diligent. I recommend it for breakfast or just a get-together with friends. The place is open from 9 am until midnight daily, so it is also a good choice for continuing a late-night gathering. There is no dress code, but you will feel more comfortable if you are on the formal side.

I was expecting much much better experience in such a high ranked restaurant. The food wasn’t tasty at all and was too pricy. Look at the picture, the extra avocado slices cost 5 €! The staff was just confused with the orders and we had to explain everything things couple of times. One of them pure the coffee on my jacket without apologizing! We were also sitting outside but were not offered any blankets . I am sorry but even the coffee could not impress me! Just add one more star because of the location and a nice Garden!

Delicious breakfast served in the beautiful place. Service was very fast and nice. Will recommend this place to anyone who likes to enjoy your morning coffee or tea with birds and trees around you.

I can finally stop looking for the best strudel in Berlin. I found it here! Great lunch menu, good service, great coffee and fair price. Love the pumpkin soup too. Very popular so making a reservation is best if you want to be assured of a table on the weekends.

Fancy and relaxed place, good for both morning and evening. Service is good and the environment is soothing.

I love this place. Croissants come out extra puffy and there is something so peaceful about the garden area while still being behind bustling Kurfürstendamm. I had an especially good time this past visit where Mathilda was my server. It was truly such a wonderful experience being in her care and she took special attention to our table despite it being a packed afternoon.

Café close to the Ku’Damm. There is an indoor place and a garden to enjoy breakfast or lunch. The breakfast is served until 14h. Pancakes and waffles are available only as breakfast, but there is the apfelstrudel in the afternoon.

Ja, ein tolles Haus, ein bezaubernder Wintergarten, eine eindrucksvolle Gartenanlage..keine Frage! Ohne Reservierung waren wir schon um 9.00 Uhr da und wurden von dem leicht rauhbeinig charmanten Kellner an einen Tisch am Fenster geführt, der es uns erlaubte, gute zwei Stunden zu verweilen. So früh am Morgen war der Hunger nicht groß, bescheiden fiel deshalb unsere Bestellung aus. Ein Müsli, und zweimal zwei Eier im Glas. Das Müsli war okay. “Kann man ja nicht viel falsch machen” meinte unser männlicher Begleiter. Bei den zwei Eiern im Glas nach unserem Dafürhalten schon. Denn in der Tat waren die Eier nicht ! weich , sondern das obere praktisch “hart”, das untere in einem “Zwitter ähnlichen” Zustand: halb sämig weich und leicht durchgekocht. Als wir das monierten, meinte der uns bedienende Herr, das wäre ihre hausinterne Zubereitungsregel. Diese Erklärung erstaunte uns etwas, und wir reagierten leicht ungläubig. Er wiederholte es und machte uns darauf aufmerksam, dass beim nächsten Mal wir ausdrücklich sagen sollten, dass wir die Eier weich haben wollten. Notiert!! Denn der Ort ist zu schön als dass man/frau wegen einer solchen “Lappalie” nicht mehr das Café aufsuchen wollte. Dann werden wir auch bei der Bestellung der Getränke wie Cappuccino und Latte Macchiato sagen: “Bitte ganz heiß servieren”. Denn dass diese lau temperiert sein sollten, war/ist offensichtlich nicht die Regel. Anstandslos nahm der Kellner meinen Macchiato zurück, um ihn nach meinem Geschmack „heiß“ wieder zu servieren. Ich bedankte mich herzlich.

Rating it 3 stars because the sandwiches weren’t worth the price they charged us for . The baguette sandwich cost us like 8 euros . So if you are coming for food then I wouldn’t recommend but if you are perhaps coming for a glass of wine, or coffee and cake or even breakfast then this place is very good! The atmosphere, the ambiance, the gorgeous interior is what’s this place is all about .It’d make you feel very high end. Next time I’ll only come here for breakfast or tea time .

Obwohl gestern viel los war, ist der Service immer sehr freundlich gewesen, tolles Essen & natürlich der wunderschöne Garten! Es war ein toller Abend bei Euch & das mitten in der Stadt! Kennen diesen Ort schon über 30 Jahre und bin sehr froh, dass es Euch noch gibt! Ein großes Dankeschön!!!

Only a few metres off the buzzing shopping boulevard Kurfürstendamm you will find this restaurant in a historic villa with a beautiful garden. The food is excellent, the staff is friendly - I am a regular guest and have never been disappointed. If I could, I would give it six stars.

Classy place for indoor & outdoor fine dining. They have a great selection of wines. Their Pommes/fries, that comes with the main dish, is really an icing on the cake! You need to try that.

Wow, location, settings,  atmosphere, service were all fabulous.   Food was average but lovely place to stop for drinks. We visited the place in a rainy day and we loved it. In a sunny day, seating in the garden must be to gorgeous too.

Having been here countless times over the past 15-20 years and being used to Berliner Schnauze, today’s stop at the Cafe im Literaturhaus was the shortest one yet. Getting yelled at for politely requesting extra menus for a table of 4 (only one was supplied) as well as asking for a fresh tablecloth as the one we encountered was quite full of hair and food stains is a new low even by Berlin service standards. Left promptly as a result of that (and I suspect the party seated at the same table before us did the same, as they arrived just before us but also quickly left, clearing up that table for us to “enjoy”) Otherwise, the food is usually solid and the house lemonades are a treat especially in summer.

One of the loveliest places for breakfast we experienced in Berlin. Food and drink were very good and the garden atmosphere great. Most bees we encountered in the city, but still amazing 🙂

Not recommended recommended all We! We called and they said we should come, we come and ots full so we waited 10 minutes (no waiting list no order whoever is faster to take the table) then we sit down and the su was super strong.. they had umbrellas bit refused to open them to cover from the sun (pictures attached) , 20 euros for 2 eggs with salmon.. terrible place

Really wonderful little café that had solid breakfast offerings. Cheaper than our hotel buffet (28 euro a person!) and a lovely overall setting. Great way to start the day before heading off to Charlottenburg Palace.

a great option if you are in this part of town. the style of the cafe is quite unique and its atmosphere invites you to chat and disconnect from everything. if you are in summer, sitting outside is a great experience. pancakes are a must no matter what time.

The location of the cafe is amazing - especially in spring and summer times. You might have to wait a bit if you want to sit outside during the busy time. Unfortunately, service is rather slow and we had to wait some time before finally someone came to clean the table from the previous customers and we could sit. You can go inside to have a look and choose the cakes. We decided to opt out for already made cakes from vitrine (not the deserts in the menu that required some prep like apple strudel), since we did not have that much time and were concerned that it would take long. Carrot cake was great but apricot was rather average. Overall - nice place but service is not great.

Really one of my favorite places in Berlin! It's perfect for a relaxed coffee and a snack after an exhaustive shopping tour. The atmosphere is very relaxed but in a country club kind of way. The Café is located in a nice garden area, I'd recommend to reserve a table beforehand though. But beware, the staff is quite overstrained most of the time and the service suffers immensely from that.

The cake I had (lemon tart) was nothing special. Service okay but nothing to rave about. Beautiful building though.

We were two and arrived at the opening; the place was almost empty. We were said though that all the tables were booked - but only after an inquisitive look to me and my friend. I don't know what are the criteria to be well received and I don't trust the "all booked" argument. It seems to be some kind of a club and the refusal was not warm. I also have to add that a backward and underdeveloped website with no possibility to book online makes this place even more unwelcoming. I don't know how they get an average 4.4.

A true gem of Berlin. My partner and I were in Berlin from a Wednesday to a Sunday and visited this place not only once but 3 times - and every time it was such a delight. The staff, the setting, the food and the general atmosphere of the place is special. For anyone wanting to experience typical German (delicious) dishes this is the place to go. A big shout out to the waiter Emile (hopefully, spelt correctly!) who made our time here so pleasant. The place is very lucky to have him - what a great guy. Also, for any vegetarians/vegans, there is plenty of dishes to choose from. We will definitely be back again soon. Thanks to all the staff!
