It
was
a
very
good
time
to
gather
with
my
niece
(Mexican)
who
has
been
living
in
Berlin
for
5
years
with
her
husband
(German)
and
I
was
visiting
for
the
weekend
with
my
boyfriend
(British).
We
were
walking
all
day
having
a
Berliner
experience
in
the
city,
and
we
met
at
this
amazing
bar
in
front
of
the
night
club
we
were
planning
to
go.
Everything
was
going
well
until
we
got
to
the
queue
to
get
into
the
night
club.
A
guy
on
our
side
was
wearing
a
football
t-shirt
and
the
bouncer
(lady)
asked
him
to
change
it
as
it
was
not
allowed
it
in
the
club.
However,
they
allowed
him
and
his
friends
in
the
club.
My
niece,
her
husband
and
I
were
speaking
in
Spanish,
and
when
we
were
next
to
get
in
the
club,
the
bouncer
(lady)
asked
us
if
we
had
been
there
before.
As
2
non-local
people,
we
answered
we
hadn’t.
She
asked
if
we
were
drinking
before,
to
which
we
answered,
we
had
but
not
too
much.
Then,
she
asked
us
were
we
were
from
and
we
answered
from
Mexico,
London
and
Berlin
respectively.
Next
act,
she
said,
this
is
not
your
night
and
with
no
explanation,
she
didn’t
allow
us
to
get
in.
It
was
a
very
unpleasant
situation.
And
it
was
clear
that
the
bouncer
was
racist.
Apparently,
many
German
people
haven’t
learned
from
history
events
that
racism
makes
them
awful
people.
