Great to visit and get a perspective of where our power comes from and the immense scale of innovation that brought us to the modern world.

A completely underestimated gem in Lankwitz. Incredible wealth of exhibits, whether telephones, large circuit breakers, models of heat pumps or gas turbines. Many thanks to the employees, all of whom work on a voluntary basis

The Energy Museum Berlin is an impressive facility that offers a deep insight into the history and development of energy production. The exhibition spans various eras, from the beginnings of electricity to modern renewable energy technologies. The precisely designed exhibits impressively illustrate the evolution of energy production. I found the variety of technologies on display particularly impressive. Here you can not only admire historic steam turbines, but also discover innovative solutions in the areas of solar energy, wind power and much more. The interactive elements allow visitors to experience how these technologies work, which deepens the learning experience. The exhibition is cleverly structured didactically. The information presented is well structured and easy to understand, so that even people without specific prior knowledge of energy technology can access it. In addition, the museum staff are extremely helpful and competent. They are happy to answer any questions and thus make a significant contribution to an informative and pleasant visit to the museum. The historical contexts and social effects of the various forms of energy are also conveyed very clearly. You get an impression of how energy production has influenced not only technical, but also social and economic developments. All in all, my visit to the Energy Museum Berlin was extremely worthwhile. I recommend it to anyone interested in the history and future of energy supply. Here you not only get a comprehensive overview, but also an inspiring perspective on the role of energy in our society.

I was pleasantly surprised by the museum - lots of volunteers who are happy to demonstrate everything and are available to answer any questions. My highlight: Upstairs there is a room with working teleprinters, pneumatic tubes and many old telephones with which you can call each other - the switching is done by an automatic switching system from the 50s, which is also clearly demonstrated there.

This museum has a ton of information and many small experiments you can operate for yourself. It's important to say that the information inside is only on German, and the visit is by appointment only, there's a guided tour once a month. Luckily, the guided tour was led by Ulrich and his colleague which gave the tour in English, even though it was planned to be in German, they were very welcoming and were happy to answer any question 😀

Amazing place to explore the energy sources and how it works from inside. The only thing is that most of the staff speaks german only. The exhibition is great and some of the things will be interesting even for kids.

I was absolutely impressed by the exposition and people there! You can book German or English tour there, it could take around 2-3 hours for the entire exhibition. It's impressive how much engineering and responsibility needed to give us light (and power internet :) )

An interesting museum especially for people who have to do with electricity.

This is a pretty crazy "little" museum on electrical generation and distribution. A lot of the equipment (such as some VERY large and loud breakers) is still in functioning condition, too. You'll want to either speak German or bring a translation tool, though. I'm not sure if it was just the night I was there (long museum night), but there were a TON of engineers there explaining things, which was pretty incredible.

Very interesting museum ideal for electricity buffs. You have to book a tour unless you get like we did, one of the rare open mornings.

It is a nice museum to visit. They work with donations. But you should let them know earlier about an English guide need, in case that you don't know any German.

Very extensive collection from the areas of energy supply and telecommunications. I always like the museum. The museum is only open on special occasions or for groups by arrangement.

We were there as part of the long night of the museums... instead of a short visit that had been planned for 1 hour, we stayed on site for 2.5 hours and only left because we had planned other museums. There was a volunteer (mostly retired?!) retiree in almost every room and told us about the exhibits on display with an enthusiasm that I have never seen in any other museum. There was a lot of demonstration... any layman's questions would be happy to be answered... great. The telecommunications room with various connected telephones that can call each other is an absolute must. We will be back!

A really great museum for anyone interested in technology. You can tell the enthusiasm for the topic from the employees who give the tours and they also answer any questions the visitors have. Especially given that this museum is run on a voluntary basis, I have to give great praise to the employees! About the exhibits: There is almost everything that has to do with electrical engineering, from power plant technology to household technology and energy transmission as well as telecommunications technology, so there is something for everyone. All in all, really recommended and I will probably stop by a second time because I wasn't able to see all the exhibits due to time constraints.
