A
wonderful
farm
without
leaving
Berlin,
with
animals,
vegetables,
an
orchard
and
also
a
hands-on
museum
with
lots
of
activities
for
kids
(and
adults!)
to
learn:
how
to
make
thread
with
wool,
how
to
knit
a
flower
crown,
how
to
paint
ceramics,
how
to
sort
grains,
harvest
your
own
seasonal
vegetables
and
feed
the
farm
animals.
They
have
lots
of
festivals
and
activities
during
the
year,
in
which
case,
there’s
a
small
entrance
fee
for
adults.
On
other
days,
the
entrance
fee
is
lower
and
follows
the
honor
system
(a
machine
gives
you
a
ticket
at
the
door).
There’s
a
restaurant
as
well
as
lots
of
areas
for
a
picnic.
A
wonderful
place
to
spend
a
whole
afternoon!
My
3
and
5
year
olds
loved
harvesting
potatoes
and
then
roasting
them
in
an
open
fire
in
the
field!
Walking
distance
from
two
U3
Bahn
stations:
Dahlem
Dorf
(back
entrance,
closer
to
the
field
and
animals)
or
Podbielskiallee
(main
entrance,
closer
to
the
museum
and
restaurant).
We
will
be
back
many
times.
