The Schöneweide industrial salon is a historical gem for technology enthusiasts in Berlin. Countless exhibits on the history of electricity and electronics are on display in the premises of a former factory hall. The collection includes components and devices from the beginning of the 20th century to the time of reunification. The many interactive exhibits in which the theory of electricity is clearly demonstrated are particularly fascinating. For example, you can build simple circuits yourself and research how they work. Historical milestones such as the invention of the light bulb and the radio are also demonstrated in small replicas. Another highlight is the presentation of the development of radio and television technology. Various radios, televisions and recording devices impressively show how technology has changed over the decades. It is particularly worth mentioning that entry to the industrial salon is free. Temporary exhibitions and guided tours also take place here regularly. The friendly staff is available to provide advice and support. Overall, the Schöneweide industrial salon is a recommended destination for young and old. Technology fans will get their money's worth here and can immerse themselves in the past of electricity and radio technology. The museum is a treasure for Berlin's industrial history.

We still talk a lot about this historic place. If you consider which personalities lived next to each other and how the social offerings through AEG arose out of necessity. The view from the tower is wonderful. A very good, motivated guide gave us deep insight.

Interesting free museum with items from the area's industrial past. Old TV"s, transformers, etc. fill this former factory. Nice area to walk around after by the Spree river.

A great room for jazz concerts with a good grand piano and system. The concert series is run by Jazzkeller 69 e.V., which also runs the Jazz am Kaiserstieg series. A great team and good organization!!

The Salon served as the starting point of ‘Elektropolis-Tour’, a unique tour of the birthplace of Berlin’s electricity industry. The tour, whilst being in German, must have been one of the most beautiful experiences I’ve ever had of this kind. Can only recommend to all history and industry lovers.

Free Museum. Relevant as a retrospective to today's silicon-based technology. Head kept spinning between the different things they had and the fact that it's so well maintained and it's free!! Super friendly and chatty staff. There's an in-house book exchange table and a cute shop for gift ideas. At the entrance, you'll find a lot of free flyers and information. Nearby bar/café and often live music.

We really liked it here. The industrial salon is very well designed. We will definitely come back, but book a tour of the premises first. There is no connection to many of the exhibits and there is certainly a lot to tell about them. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The industrial salon is definitely suitable for school classes and for everyone who is interested in history.

The museum is a good starting point to find out about the local industrial heritage. I was fascinated by all the old electronic equipment that was once manufactured in this area, even though I am not at all into electronics. It's free and my son (a now mopey teen) found it intersting too. Look forward to perhaps book one of their walking tours. Great stuff!
