I was there during the Corona rules, had the time slot 4-8 p.m. and came around 5 p.m. There are three pools: a 50m pool directly behind the entrance, a non-swimmer pool and a "sports swimmer pool". The lap pool was relatively full. The non-swimmer pool was divided into several sections and offered enough space. The pool behind the entrance was very fresh, but otherwise it wasn't clear to me why no one was swimming there, but everyone was just frolicking in the recreational swimming pool. There were a maximum of 2-3 people on a double lane after 5:30 p.m. This is of course quite a luxury. It is more clearly cordoned off here than in other summer pools in order to control the "flow of people". However, there are no streams. Rather, my impression was that everyone was walking back and forth quite a bit because it was unclear what was currently open and where you should walk and where you shouldn't. The security is also provided by a different company than in other pools (probably the same company that is always there here) - you notice that because they are a bit unfriendly overall (but still within the usual range for Berlin standards) and not like that It's very clear what they're all doing there. I only mention this because the security at other summer pools is currently extremely friendly and helpful. Safe deposit boxes are available. The changing rooms are closed, although hoardings labeled "changing rooms" have been erected - either to allow people to change in the corners or to be able to change behind them - it's not entirely clear. There is also a meadow, although this is currently severely restricted due to the construction site. Overall, the experience here wasn't as outstanding as in other summer pools - but the very empty pool and the central location in the city center make up for that. Swimming is great here.

Brilliant place for an outdoor swim. There are three big pools for different levels of seriousness when swimming - two set up for lane swimming and one fun pool. We took our baby so we stayed in the fun pool. The pool was a bit colder than I expected but a fine temperature once you get used to it. If you are taking a baby take a warm dry suit - she loved it but if we had packed her lighter swimming suit she would have been too cold. Staff were very helpful, especially the woman in the ticket office . The changing rooms although basic (as you often get with lidos) were clean and tidy. On a hot day you might want to pre order tickets online so you can skip the booking office queue but we went on a moderate day so the small queue was no issue. There are big general lockers which you need to use a padlock for. You can buy these from the ticket office. However there are also small "valuables lockers" (to the left when you enter) and you can take bags pool side. Valuables lockers need a €3 deposit (1 x €1 and 1x€2 coin) which is refunded when you open the locker. We used the valuables lockers and took our buggy pool side. It worked out very well. It's worth noting over 14s need to show ID. Entry is very reasonable and the facilities are pretty good. All in all we had an excellent time and it's been one of the things I've enjoyed most in Berlin. Highly recommend!

This is a public swimming pool. There are several water pools. I was invited by a friend to swim. New experience for me. Swimming in a public pool in Germany. Maybe there's less freedom to go back and forth because there are so many people. But it's certainly very good for cooling the body in hot weather.

A very spacious public swimming pool, perfect for spending a day duriung hot summer days. With plenty of shade and a large grass area behind the pools so you don't have to worry about sunburn during resting time. The local snack bar offers drinks (coffee, beer, etc) and basic snacks like fries and so on. Has a pool for children of all ages...

Incredibly rude and power trippy security guards. We were turned away because our home country passports are apparently not recognized. Their reason being it doesn't have my German address. I showed them many alternative documents, but they were not even interested in looking. I had to get turned away with a screaming child in my hands. The ones who were being allowed inside, the guards were barely glancing at their IDs, no one was verifying if the face matches the ID . Terrible experience. This is what happens when you hire good for nothing goons for such jobs. Exactly what BVg did with ticket checkers.

Incredibly rude! Even though you can show the photographed ID card on your cell phone and see everything on it perfectly, you won't be allowed in. This not only happened to me, but also to the 70-year-old man behind me and the family with the small, crying child in front of me. I guess we all look like criminals... They're crazy here. As is often the case in Berlin, appropriateness seems to be a foreign word.

I appreciate the fact that security tries to keep everyone safe but this could be done in a more quiet way, having to hear yells of security every after 5 minutes "raus" creates a threatening atmosphere around and in the pool. I also think customers can be handled better. At the entrance more staffing would help improve the long line. Otherwise there is a greater need for improving Customer experience.

Great facility. Good for family or group of friends. The lap pools is quite organized so one can have serious exercise if choose to. Overall very nice and relaxing atmosphere. Only shortcoming is that there is no chairs or sunbeds for rent (laying on the brick floor can be uncomfortable after a while), and in the area around the pools there is little shade. If you are willing to be further from the pools there is grass with shade.

Great pool, but you should know that there are a lot of people here on a hot day. Rather good to cool down rather than swim

It's super nice if you manage to visit during a non-busy day (usually on overcast weekdays). The staff are very professional and it's clean. There is always someone who attends the dressing rooms who mops up everytime someone comes in soaking wet.

Unfortunately, the nearest pools are currently being renovated and are closed for the next few years, so you now have to come to this container swimming pool to swim laps. Everything here is provisionally prepared for 5 to a maximum of 20 people. There is 1 basin with 5 lanes, 5 showers and 5 ways to blow-dry your hair, but I have to say that the starmix blow-dryers are a huge waste of money, they damage the hair rather than dry it, the older models like for example the Stadtbad Schöneberg or Stadtbad Neukölln do not do this. Unfortunately, there are no power sockets so you could dry your hair with a travel hairdryer that you brought with you. In the two women's changing rooms there is only 1 changing room each and no windows, so you cannot ventilate if someone uses their deodorant, for example. The women's showers are dirty, always full of dust and hair from bathers, there is no place to put shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, etc. and no trash can, so bathers just leave their empty bottles here and there. We go swimming here three times a week and I've never seen a cleaning lady. Although the swimming pool is not that old, the floor and also the edges and joints of the showers are moldy. The starting blocks at the edge of the pool are always blocked off with cylinders, so jumping into the cool water is never possible in this swimming pool and yet you can already see the rust that is gradually developing under the blocks when you swim your laps. The checkout staff doesn't let anyone in after 3 p.m., even if it's 3:00:43 p.m. and you've picked up your daughter from school and rushed to the swimming pool so that your 11-year-old daughter can train for another 30 minutes. There's no empathy here shown. So it's better to buy an annual ticket or 10 or 20 tickets online or in another pool and just go through without contacting the checkout staff here. The only positive thing about this pool is that the lockers are clean, work well and the lifeguards are very friendly. I hope there will be better swimming opportunities in the area soon.

Pool is good for the neighbourhood. Team and security are doing their best to keep people safe and in good conditions. Lockers are regularly stolen there. It happened to me twice this summer. I hope management will find a solution to that.

Such a nice place and really in center! But I went there in the weekend and it was soo crowded it would be better if they have some limitations. There is an option to buy tickets from online if you don't want to wait for the line (talking for weekend, probably it's super chill in weekdays)

One of the most popular open air pools in Berlin. Reservations open 4 days in advance and when the weather forecast is good, it sells out within an hour. Features one heated 50m sports pool (about 25 degrees), a heated play pool, and another more refreshing unheated 50m sports pool. There is also plenty of grass for relaxing and sunbathing, and a snackbar. EDIT: capacity has been increased and there are more things to do now so the reservation situation is more relaxed now, although it will definitely still sell out days in advance if the temperature goes above 30.

Nice outdoor pool with lot of green space. What i didn't like: loud young men playing soccer in the green area (although it is forbidden) and people who can barely swim go into the sport pool. Family tickets cannot be bought online (and it is a good deal!).

I just come here to swim. It has an amazing Olympic pool with really clear water. It would be amazing if they put more lanes for proper swimming instead of leaving a big free space. It's common to find the lanes for the ones who swim for training/sport or are faster very crowded. Sometimes, 8 people in the same lane! When you can count 10 people in the free space where you can put 3 more lanes. There are more pools where people can swim slower, relaxed and free. However, it's a good space for Training. The locker room needs an update and it's not very clean. I had seen lots of people who stay more in the gardens and seems they are having good time there and in the other pools, bit have no experience on that areas. This pool and Neukölln have really bad fame, luckily I had only seen a couple of mid- situations with teenagers.

It said online that it opens at 7:30am. When I was there there was a sign saying it opens at 8am. Really annoying.

Wasn't too crowded and has 3 very large pools available with a mushroom and a slide, both a pool just for lap swimmers. You also have the option of lying on a meadow or you can sit on the stones between the pools. The price-performance ratio definitely fits. Toilets were ok. You can put your things in a locker there, but you have to bring your own lock. All in all I had a good time.

A good swimming pool for sport swimmers with 50 meter lanes and starting blocks, but bad for leisure activities as it has no real slides or diving boards. Also, the locker rooms are really bad because you can see in from outside and you have to bring your own lock for the locker.

If you're a kid you will enjoy without limitation. As parents you have to have always an eye open. Very crowded pool. It was very hot weather and later in the afternoon was rainy. Picnic zone. The kids wanted to have a quick snack on the towels under the tree shadow and security staff warn us it is forbidden. We move later to the picnic area and we could have lunch over the grass. I got two beers and ice cream and it took me almost one hour waiting. Police walking rounds. We stay until closing times. Security staff somehow a little over unnecessary aggressive. There are family with kids and they should understand that we need time to pack everything and go home in a peaceful atmosphere. Green areas were left very dirty because people let their litter and garbage so uncivilised way. No me gusta Kids like it anyway Very crowded Security control at gates

I visited the swimming pool this morning and I was asking why the sport swimming pool is closed and why there is no big signs there telling us that. The security guy on the door interfered and was shouting at me to leave the place at once. He was ready to attack me and was absolutely impolite and very aggressive. How come there are such people there ? I will raise an official complaint against them

So easy to reach. Just step down from the U-bahn, and you are almost already dipping your toes! Quick access, like the one at Olympic Park better, but in the city, this is so easy to reach!

Nice swimming pool where to relax and refresh during hot days, but always too crowded. I went on a Monday and it was like it was a day on the weekend. I suggest going in the morning as it gets busier and busier during the day. The bars are the only downside, as they offer food such as soups or tea, really not ideal for hot summer days. They don’t have many decent vegan options except for the French fries (not sure if it can be considered a decent healthy option) and two kinds of water ice creams (when even the Späti across the street had a vegan almond magnum). Also, you won’t find any summery refreshing fruits such as watermelons or mix of fruits that are not bananas (which is not the most refreshing fruit). You always have to queue for a lot of time. I suggest to bring your own food so you avoid all of that and enjoy the many swimming pools and the nice green area around.

Cool place. Big enough to not get overcrowded even on weekends. The Bar/restaurant could be faster (food and service is nice but is not well organized so very long lines form 30 minutes to order and 10 minutes to get food)

Absolutely THE best place in Berlin to swim. 2 good 50m outdoor pools (heated and unheated) + huge leisure pool. Friendly staff. Inclusive facilities. Vibe in pools is mostly friendly, relaxed, and graceful, even in the 50m training lanes. It’s almost as if there’s a particular kind of swimmer you get here that you don’t in indoor pools. I just wish they’d stay open all year. I’m pretty sure open water swimmers would happily train here year round. I certainly would.

i love this place 💙 all the pools are amazing 🏊🏼‍♂️✨ and in general so beautiful, surrounded by trees, and very well taken care of. i just wish there was at least one more pool there 🤪 since it can get pretty crowded on hot days

For swimming there is an amazing experience, especially evenings around 18-19 when you will get some evening sun. Showers are nice and clean. Good areas for some fun as well.

Really good size swimming pools, lots of changing areas and toilets. But BE PREPARED, way to overcrowded on a sunny day after about midday. It can be a little chaotic.

  • 3/5 Maziyar S. 1 year ago on Google
The place itself is beautiful and big enough to have a good swim or have fun with friends or family yet there are some problems to be noted: - The WC is not clean - If you have a big bag, you should bring your own lock otherwise you can't use lockers.

  • 5/5 Ruxandra G. 1 year ago on Google
Really lovely pool experience, the pools were clean, with that clear shimmering water, lifeguards active (they dealt swiftly with some people who were making trouble). The place with the food and drinks is something out of the 90s and I loved the flavor and vibe of that.

Great pools in the heart of Kreuzberg. There are 4 pools. 2 for kids, 1 to swim and 1 to hang out. You can get some food, drinks and ice cream at the place at reasonable prices. Showers, lockers and change rooms also available. Entry is 5,50€

The security is racist and homophobic. In addition, you can't get the refund if they don't let you in.
