As an art-lover I went to the opening yesterday. Don't have too much to say about art but it was quite disappointing to find out that there was no free booze! Instead, they were offering free bags full of paper. I'd prefer a glass of wine rather than an old newspaper. Thanks, Michael.

On my visits to Berlin have been fortunate to see some great exhibits here, as well as purchase some books from the bookstore. I especially like the photobook section, and for someone who is learning German, the children's section and those small yellow classic books in German from Universal Bibliothek.

Very interesting. Different. Not easy. Inspiring. Rough. But definitely worth your visit. Especially with a many-sidedly artistic bookstore.

The nGbK holds a very important position in cultural production outside of the commercial gallery system and needs to be supported. It's just a way to prove that different ways of working are possibilities. I have seen many, many great shows here. The bookshop is pretty comprehensive and awesome too.

Excellent gallery and exhibit “Lucky”. Better than the galleries I visited in Berlin that charge admission fee. Thankyou for this gem!

Great gallery with a different approach to art, especially alternative art. The gallery is located behind a book store that is also quite a place where to spend a good half an hour.

It was, as always, fine, quite unwieldy for a wider audience. Maybe it doesn't always have to be accessible to everyone ;)

Honestly a very good surprise! I stumbled upon this space which seemed like a good bookshop, and once inside I realized there was actually a very interesting exhibition going on called Left Performance Histories. The curatorial team made an excellent job there, with very well chosen artists and their artworks. As an art gallery team member myself, it was really an amazing discovery this little corner in OranienstraĂźe-Berlin.

after being in Berlin for almost 20 years I went there now for the very first time and I am pretty sure my next visit wont last this long anymore: The exhibition program is always interesting, and before entering the exhibition space there is this super nicely sorted book shop
