We visited Mio Berlin on July 27, 2021, hoping for a delightful experience with their visually appealing ice cream menu. Unfortunately, the reality fell short when our orders arrived—smaller and less visually appealing than depicted. Upon expressing our disappointment to the waitress, we received no resolution. Despite the discrepancy, we decided to enjoy the ice cream, which, taste-wise, was average, earning a 5 out of 10 for the Price/Performance ratio. Our dissatisfaction extended to the drinks, which lacked flavor and failed to impress our group of four adults, warranting another 5 out of 10 for the Price/Performance ratio. Unexpectedly, on February 10, 2023, we received a complaint from Mio Berlin, questioning the validity of our review. This raises concerns about the establishment's priorities, as addressing product quality might yield more positive reviews than disputing customer feedback.

Overall Unprofessional place and staff. Restaurant didn't provide the printed bill and asked me to take screenshot of their screen Instead. Extremely untrained staff with no manner what so ever. Food was ok. Though he location and ambience is good. Wouldn't recommend.

It all looked so promising. The pictures of the food looked delicious and we were hungry. We was shown to a table and told that someone would be with us shortly. A long time passed and still no waiter. Eventually a waiter came and took our order. After another exceedingly long wait we finally got what we had ordered, only to realise that the food was cold and in my case completely raw. I will never return and I highly recommend that you should consider eating somewhere else.

There is seating inside and outside, but on weekend evenings for groups of 4 or more people it is better to make a reservation. We sat outside, unfortunately at the very edge, which was quite uncomfortable and you felt like you had to hold on to your handbags. The selection of food, drinks and cocktails was top! Everything was delicious too. I ordered the same cocktail twice, but it tasted completely different. Unfortunately, the service in between was non-existent, you always had to draw attention to yourself if you wanted to order something. The service itself was very friendly. The dog was offered water twice, very attentive!

We were arriving quite late, around 9:30. We ordered the mix grill. It took them 1 hour to prepare the food. At least all the food was good, oh no it wasn't. But at least all the food was hot, oh wait it wasn't. Most of it was stone cold. At least our meal was complete though, oh wait it wasn't. They forgot the pork, the corn and the grilled tomatoes. At least the meat was well prepared though. Oh wait the steak was rockhard, the chicken was pink (raw) and very tough. At least it was fresh though, oh wait it wasn't. It was all frozen and re-heated for sure. Thank god it wasn't so expensive though, oh wait it was 56 euros. But we should have known since it's not their restaurant special, oh wait it was. Terrible restaurant, waiters were nice though.

Restaurant in top location not much more. The Mio is located directly under the television tower. Some of the outside seats have the best view of the hustle and bustle of Alexanderplatz. Most outdoor tables are equipped with environmentally unfriendly gas patio heaters. The menu is equipped with professional pictures ... so that it is understandable in every language. The service took our order quickly. The drinks lasted about 20 minutes. until they arrived at the table. I thought plastic straws can no longer be used? They still exist here. Our main courses would be served another half hour later. Hamburger schnitzel, Berlin currywurst, pumpkin soup (very salty) and pizza and co. set our table. The dishes looked nicer in the pictures. The quality is okay and can be assigned to the category of upscale snack bars. (Therefore price performance is still bearable) The waitresses in the restaurant are like a swarm of bees, a bit uncoordinated but mostly friendly. (Cutlery was brought to us on request and after the dishes were served) We were here for the second time. I think I'll consider a third visit.

Delicious cheese platter! The ingredients were high quality. The food came quickly and the service was good!

The food was okay. Although drinks were not that good. Service was also very delayed. Maybe because of staff shortage. I also felt that waiter was greedy as he himself suggested to add ~15% tip

If you want to wait for at least one hour and same for paying the bill this is a fantastic place. The order was not too complex - merely simply refreshing drinks. Love that the bartender took €0.8 for excellent service without asking. This place is not best of Berlin. ♥️

the restaurant has a very well illustrated menu. unfortunately once the food arrives it doesn't taste that good. it is mediocre at best, though, it would probably be more tasty to heat some microwave food from the supermarket up and eat that instead. the drinks were also not that good, it tasted very strong/synthetic. and the strawberry and lime piece, why even put it in the drink if it is clear that it is so old that it is just days from rotting?

I received an absolutely friendly welcome and service here. The food was top class and the price-performance ratio was absolutely fine. The atmosphere is inviting and overall it is a great location. I can only recommend everyone to just spend a relaxing time here.

We went to the Mio restaurant for breakfast. We ordered a platter for two people. The breakfast was plentiful and tasted very good. The service was very friendly and the price-performance ratio is completely fine. We would love to come back and can only recommend you. Thank you for the hearty breakfast with you.

Everything was wanderful!!!! The Ford was perfect, for desert I ordered the Hot ketmar, with where extraordinary!!!! Mission was the waiter that taking care of my table, and his service were perfect! Really liked the place!

Very good food both days we were here and excellent service by our waiter Marco S. Would definitely recommend to everyone! Big variety in the food and many drinks to choose from.

Service was slow, waitress wasn’t particularly nice either. Ice cream came late, already melted and in 2 tea cups (order was for 1 person?!) Cocktails also took time but were alright. Location is nice.

We came in 25 people who had already reserved tables. We firstly ordered drinks, and got them within a reasonable time. Then they came to ask for what we wanted to eat, and our food was now being made in the kitchen. Or at least I thought so. About 10 minutes later the food was brought to our tables, one or two at a time, but nothing was given to me. I asked where my food was, and they said it was on its way. Then 10 minutes later with still no food, a classmate of mine walked up to the reception to ask for where it was. 2 minutes later I then recieved my food. The food was not terrible, but nothing special either. Then it came to the payment. Their card terminal was out of order, so we had to pay with cash. I payed for both a friend and myself (due to lack of physical money) and it totalled to €42.4 and I gave a €50 note. The waiter then gave me a €5 note back, and said something like "is this okay?" Of course it isn't! With this terrible service you guys have given me, do you think I will be okay with paying €2.6 more than the actual price?! I then looked confused at him, and he gave me 2 x €0.50 coins more back. Still not enough, when I clearly could see that it he was not low on change at all. Very weird experience, and I will not be recommending this place to any in the future.

I would recommend people to STAY AWAY from this place. I live in Berlin and personally I gave this place multiple opportunities and the outcome is always the same: they will attempt to overcharge you (AKA rob you). During my last visit (5 Aug 23) they actually got their way. We ordered lunch for two and some beverages: one entrant, two main lunch dishes, one fresh orange juice and two Martini’s bianco. When we asked for the check, they came directly with a POS and charge us 60,50 Euros. They did not bring any invoice, my bad cause I paid directly without even thinking about it. Then I requested the invoice and, to my surprise, they overcharged me. The overcharge was exactly 9 euros After complaining, their explanation was that the Martini’s were made double because I asked ice on them. So instead of costing the 4,5 that was shown in the menu, now they cost 9 euros. To which I replied something along the lines of why you didn’t say anything before, I ordered two so plenty of time to clarify. It can even be seen in the invoice the order in which the items were added, exactly the order in which they were ordered. Surprise! A last charge of 9 euros coming out of nowhere, clearly added at the last moment with the hopes of getting a distracted customer. I complained about this and needles to say the discussion took us nowhere so we just left. On the way out we were asked to keep our voices down, obviously so we did not make others aware. After reading some other comments here, it seems to me this place has a known modus operandi and is in the business of stealing from tourists and locals alike. I’m ashamed to say that they did this twice to me, I should have not come back to this place, my bad.

Huge spacious restaurant in middle of the city with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was of average quality. Service was fine.

We were there for Sunday brunch and were overwhelmed 😨… The food 🥘 was so diverse & very, very well prepared. Everything tasted very tasty 🤤 & we were more than surprised by the price, because not even €22 per person is really great 🔝. We would love to come back 😃 Keep it up 👏🏼

This place has diverse food selection, friendly staff and great ambiance. Would highly recommend to spend some time over dinner or cocktails.

Nice place, you can sit outside. The food was generous, big portions (4 of 5 stars) and the hamburger was also good. The drink (stronger longdrinks) wasn't "strong" in my opinion, but it tasted good. Although, the dessert wasn't as expected. Big piece of the cake (which was good) but way too little of the ice cream. The chocolate brownie had good taste but with too little ice cream. They do have a meny of just ice cream desserts, but when we asked for it, he said that we couldn't get it (it was 11pm) Then when we paid, the man said a price over our real deal of what we had ordered and explained fast that it was service taxes. He literally wrote in an higher amount than our recipe said. We all thought it was something that "had to be paid" but he just wanted extra tip, which isn't a nice way to treat their customers. He "took" 14% of the total price as tip-service (which was 16 euro)!! 😵‍💫😤 Since the food was okey I will just say "go there at your own risk". They didn't stick out from the crowd since there are lots of other restaurants around.

Unfortunately, the service was unfriendly. After we asked for the bill, we were almost forced to leave the table by a large group of new guests and the waiter himself, even though we hadn't finished our drinks yet. The food didn't match the description either. We were not informed that the kitchen was out of avocado, for example. The starter didn't taste good at all. The dip was also missing. We won't be coming back...

It was a mixture of an experience. I stood and waited to be seated as there was no sign to say seat yourself or wait to be seated. I was eventually addressed by an employee and said I could sit anywhere. I was brought a menu a few minutes later then forgotten about for 15 minutes. Menu selection is fantastic. Choice for most food moods. The owner came and introduced himself to me. Very friendly man. Shortly after someone came and took my order. The time out took for food and my drink to arrive wasn't too long. Presentation and taste of the food and drink was good. I had the carpachio, Hawaiian pizza and a strawberry margarita. It took me a while to get the attention of someone to bring me the bill. During this time the owner checked in on me again to see how I was fairing. All the staff were kind...just slightly slower on attentive service.

Excellent food and great and friendly service 🙂 the owner was really great and engaging, we had a good conversation about languages spoken. My daughter and I shared the Berlin Frühstuck platter it looked and tasted fabulous! Thank you 🙂

Food was nice but service was not the best. I give them 5 star because when I mentioned I was annoyed waiting, the lady sent us some drinks. If it was in UK, it was not acceptable but as I am now in Germany I learned service doesn’t really have a meaning here. So for German culture they get 5 star.

Food For all tastes, a big restaurant with many waiters, good service, but it's not a special place, a lot of people passing by, the smell of the street is not pleasant, that is, it's not a place I would come back again.

BREAKFAST IN BERLIN : Lovingly arranged étagère with fresh seasonal fruit with chocolate fondue, various cheeses, cold cuts, smoked salmon prawns, tomato mozzarella, bread basket, muesli with yoghurt or milk, jam, honey, horseradish, currywurst, scrambled eggs with crispy bacon, mini sausages, chicken sate with baked beans served with 1 glass of freshly squeezed orange juice or Prosecco (29,90€) Un très grand déjeuner pour 2 en terrasses c'était trop bien ! Mais le temps d'attente est trop long

The place is a tacky nightclub. Drinks were good, but the host was in a such terrible mood. It seemed as he hated us and when my friend told a joke, he just pretended like nothing was said and was really hostile to us. THE WORST PART: the host told us the total was 45 euros. And AFTER we payed, he got us the receipt which totaled on 43 euros. A greedy man that lied to us and was extremely rude. The other servers seemed nicer but very serious. Did NOT want enjoy the experience

Not one to complain (or leave reviews at all to be honest) but this one of the worst experiences of going to a restaurant I have had. We had walked in without a reservation on a busy Friday night but we was very hungry and we was told there was tables and was walked over to a table situated next to the men’s toilets and next to where the staff would collect drinks to take to the tables. We constantly had people walking past going into the toilet and if not staff hovering around our table collecting drinks, not exactly what you want when you’re trying to have a nice meal. I wouldn’t even feel the need to complain at this because we just wanted some food as we hadn’t eaten all day. We purposefully ordered easy food (wings, nachos, wedges, mozzarella dippers etc.) this took over an hour to come out and we both had ordered and finished 2 drinks while waiting for the food so we decided to make the decision to not order anymore as we was so disappointed and was genuinely thinking of just paying for the drinks and leaving. The food came and was also disappointing. Nothing particularly bad about it but it was all clearly just frozen food that would take 10 minutes to put in the oven at home. No sauce on the wings, no sauce for the mozzarella dippers etc, just seemed like there was no care in serving the food. Our waiter was rushed off his feet so we felt bad for him as he was clearly getting frustrated as he could see we was. However after we raised our complaint with him, all he offered was an apology, didn’t offer us to speak to a manager, offer a free drink, or take any money off the bill, which having worked in a restaurant is pretty standard practice especially if you’ve been waiting over an hour for food (never mind basic finger food). I would suggest this would be fine to visit if it was a weekday and wanting some simple food, but if you’re looking for a good level of food and to be actually catered for on a weekend, avoid here. Advice to the restaurant, if you can’t cater for people, just don’t.

We visited Berlin on February 27th, 2024 and enjoyed the view from the top of the television tower... then we went to MIO food... and we really have to say... all in all just great (it just couldn't get any better)... Very lovely and nice service... the ambience was right... and the food was also super delicious... we can recommend it to EVERYONE... Keep it up, dear ones 🫶 Thank you 🙏🏻

The service is not great. The staff takes your plates away when half of the group wasn’t finished. The staff was expecting tips when we didn’t want to give them. They just added the money. The music was way too loud as well. Food was good and ready really fast.
