Today i visited this hospital emergency department.. very nicely the staff attended me.. within 2 hours they proceeded for blood tests as well ultrasound to conclude cause of my illness. Best services in Berlin..

I had a traumatic birth experience here in 2020 which could have been prevented. They couldn’t place a epidural correctly. Failed several times, then tried to convince me it was working when i could clearly feel it wasn’t doing anything. (Which also made me wonder why they had to call in an anaesthetist AFTER delivery to put me under general anaesthesia, because with a properly placed epidural they could have done the damage repair by just topping up the epidural.) The anästhesist was clearly angered by the situation and scolded the nurses and doctors in front of me. I had a hyper-reaction to the induction medicine they administered and asked them to rather proceed to a C-section as i went into a hyper contrastive state, but they refused as the baby’s heart rate was normal and that was the only thing they cared about. The nurses were unfriendly, (all but one). One even told me i am not trying hard enough. I wasn’t allowed to choose my own birthing positions which felt more comfortable and when i asked them to stop doing certain things I was ignored, making it feel more like an assault. Before I agreed to take the induction gel i had also asked about the possible side effects, but the person who i spoke to dismisses me and said i mustn’t think of these things and wouldn’t tell me. Yet, they were happy to tell me about all the possible side effects of not taking the medicine.

I was in the emergency room last night and I'm not a fan of going to the emergency room or the hospital, especially when I'm not feeling well. Surprisingly, the waiting time was fine and there were very nice people who looked after me and got me fit again. Thank you

Awful care for patients. They just want patients over 80 years old to die. They didn’t care to take a chest Xray for a pneumonia patient just because they are in business for the money not for saving lives! Covid has become the excuse for being rude, careless and negligent!

A really top hospital. The staff is super friendly and takes their time. Was very well informed about the upcoming emergency operation and treated very well. Treatment 5 stars, friendliness of the staff 5 stars, cleanliness 5 stars, food 5 stars +. The nursing model is more than lived here.

I was in the station 24. First of all, I would like to advise you that the nurses are 80% of them rude at foreigners. They seem super nice speaking in German but when it comes to talk in English that's another thing. Xenofobia? Who knows... I don't want to talk more about this hospital. I think it's a typical German behaviour... Foreigners : go to another one.

Visited the Emergency room „Notaufnahmen“ and could not have asked for a better experience. The waiting’s times were zero. All the staff were kind and professional. The doctors and nurses fantastic. They also all spoke fantastic English. I cannot thank them enough!

This was the greatest hospital care and support I could have ever imagined receiving for my first pregnancy. Every member of the hospital staff we met - between the pre-birth appointments, during the delivery period, and the recovery period after birth - was truly the kindest, warmest, friendliest person. All the doctors, midwifes, nurses, even down to the staff who handled meal service and cleaning were the utmost professional, competent, genuine caring person. You could tell that they all enjoy working there very much, creating a very happy environment for the patients. I really loved my birthing experience here, I wouldn’t change a thing. The hospital also has a beautiful garden on the grounds to walk around in and pass the time while you wait.

Ich hatte vor kurzem eine Knie-Operation im Sankt Gertrauden Krankenhaus und bin überglücklich, dass ich mich für diese Einrichtung entschieden habe! Die gesamte Erfahrung war außergewöhnlich positiv. Bereits in der Notaufnahme wurde ich schnell und effizient betreut. Das Personal war äußerst aufmerksam und sorgte dafür, dass ich mich sofort wohl und sicher fühlte. Der reibungslose Ablauf hat mir viel Stress genommen. Die Knie-Operation selbst verlief dank des kompetenten Teams reibungslos. Die Ärzte und das Pflegepersonal waren äußerst professionell und einfühlsam. Sie haben sich um mein Wohlbefinden gekümmert und waren immer für meine Fragen da. Die liebevolle Betreuung während meines Aufenthalts im Krankenhaus hat mir geholfen, mich schneller zu erholen und mit Zuversicht nach Hause zu gehen. Ich bin dankbar für die ausgezeichnete Pflege, die ich erhalten habe. Ich kann das Sankt Gertrauden-Krankenhaus uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen. My mother received intensive care here after an accident, and she sadly passed away here. All the staff we met were extremely professional, friendly and helpful. Especially the anaesthetist in intensive care, Dr. Kemps, was very kind, patient and informative as he took the time to answer all of our questions. My sister and I were allowed to see my Mom every day, even outside normal visiting hours (this is only possible with intensive care patients). I also once witnessed a lovely lady at reception giving leftover sandwiches from the hospital kitchen to a homeless man who had wandered in. If you are looking for a hospital where you are treated like a human being and not a number, I would highly recommend Sankt Gertrauden.

I would like to thank everyone on ward 45 for their nice, competent and friendly support. My heartfelt thanks to all the nurses, carers, service staff and all the doctors. I felt very comfortable with them and was in very good hands. If I have another operation, I will definitely choose this clinic. Thanks This is the second time I have been to this station and I can only say that the entire team is simply great. They do more than just their job and I would like to thank you for that. Here you experience the whole spectrum - from friendly, competent, hard-working nurses and doctors on the ICU to arrogant and lecturing Jungian people on the normal ward who don't give you any information about the treatment of your relative because it's not "in their responsibility". falls! Unfortunately, the colleagues supposedly responsible don't have any time and you are dispatched within the blink of an eye. Information about a planned procedure also takes about 2 minutes. There is hardly any time to find out about the possible complications! The main thing is that the signature on the declaration of consent is obtained. Hospital reform is urgently needed - one can only hope that it goes in the right direction!!

We were here for the birth and had a consistently positive experience! Despite a very difficult birth, we received great care and support. The staff was very competent and extremely friendly/helpful and now we are going home with a healthy baby

Went in with my kid. All staff very nice, doctors spoke good English and handled my AS child with patience and humor.

We'd our baby here this week :) The hospital has a quiet, calm atmosphere and is not crowded. The staff is competent, polite and attentive. We had arrived there for delivery at 12:45 AM but still things were fine. The food, especially the dinner options, can be improved. Thank you team!

I was staying in the otolaryngology department of this hospital for three days and received good and competent treatment. The doctors and other staff were really nice and treated me well. They had a lot of patients, but, still they were able to find time to speak to me personally and help me. The room and the bed were clean, the food was quite decent for a hospital. When I came to the hospital, the waiting time for the initial consultation was around 2 hours. Since there were a lot of other patients, especially some with more severe injuries than me, that was explainable. I glad that I was able to recover in the hospital, thanks to the people working there!

I’m a foreigner living in Berlin without speaking a proper German. Recently I had an emergency while I was working from home (covid times) and the ambulance crew sent me to this hospital. I wasn’t confident that I could have a successful support from the hospital due to my lack of German knowledge, but fortunately I was wrong. Tree doctors had examined me before they decide to go for a surgery, they were very clear and transparent in special the female doctors. My surgery was considered as simple. I spend 3 nights under observations before being released from there, every morning/afternoon a doctor went to visit me and every 2-3 hours a nurse was at my room to check or apply standards procedures. I’m thankful for all nurses that supported me over the time I stayed there, they did their best to we communicate in English and I very much appreciate it. The food is good, and they have a person responsible for organizing/suggesting the daily menu which was decided together with me every before day. (but it depends on your diet) Receptions crew and others employees are very gentle too.

I had to stay for a day for some tests, the care was great. The doctors and nurses were very professional and caring. My German is not good but the communication was good in English.

Ich war für die Entfernung meines Akustikusneurinoms in dem Krankenhaus und fand die Betreuung sowohl auf der ITS, als auch auf der Station 33 sehr gut. Man hat sich sehr gut gekümmert und auch geschaut, dass Patienten mit einem größeren Eingriff auf ein 2-Bett-Zimmer kommen. Wenn man Hilfe benötigt hat, wurde diese sofort angeboten. Es waren durchweg alle sehr freundlich. Ich würde mich jederzeit wieder für dieses Krankenhaus entscheiden. Meine Mutter und Schwester die selbst in einem Krankenhaus arbeiten bzw. gearbeitet haben, waren auch positiv überrascht. An dieser Stelle ein großes Danke an alle.

Went there last Friday because other reviews said that they did x-rays. I thought I had neuropathy but they were unwilling to perform an x-ray on my foot. The staff there seemed to be going out of their way to pretend that my swollen foot was fine which was also rather suspicious. Today I went to an orthopaedie and they think I might have a fracture near my toes. The nurses at this hospital are a total waste of time!

The nursing and medical care was extremely good, despite the shortage of staff, everyone did their best. There was nothing wrong with the food either

This week I had a small outpatient operation. I was really impressed with how kind, friendly, extremely helpful and accommodating all the staff where from all the porters, nurses and doctors! The initial appointment was swift and informative. Pre operation consultation with nurses and doctors was super smooth, everything ran like clockwork. On the day of operation I was looked after my wonderful nurses and I was in really good care with all the doctors and surgeons. Might sound super weird but I had such a great time there. Food was decent, as in don’t have high hopes for getting fancy food :)

I felt like I was in a magnificent hospital, 5-star hotel. My foot was broken on December 8th, I went to the emergency room by ambulance, the orthopedic doctor intervened immediately, and then the surgery was started immediately, and I could not understand it at all. When I opened my eyes, I was in a very beautiful room. My second surgery was performed a week later and everything was very good. There was a big confusion only in the x-ray, but it was corrected. First of all, I would like to thank the orthopedic surgeons, then the whole team, nurses and all the staff. Everything is as it should be. 🙏🥰🌹

Went to the emergency room yesterday. It would be very desirable if there were also chairs for patients waiting to register when the bell rings on the left in front of the door! You come with severe health problems and then have to stand in a queue! It would be so easy to remedy this! Addendum: Thanks for the comment. There is another star for that.

Wohl an, Station 44. Ein großes Lob auf Schwestern und Pflegepersonal. Alle waren sehr nett und freundlich. Haben sich wirklich um das Wohlergehen gekümmert. Nicht unbedingt der renner war das Mittagessen, trotz der großen Auswahl die man täglich hat. Aber ist eben ein Krankenhaus und kein 4. Sterne hotel. Frühstück und Abendessen waren jedoch ganz okay.

Recently I had an exam performed by Dr. Püshel and his team of assistants and nurses. I couldn't have been more satisfied with their professionalism, expediency, and kindness. They all spoke English and were extremely helpful at every step of the way.

Great service, was very well treated (appendix urgent surgery) and can only recommend this hospital. Big thanks to the team in 2C in particular and to the emergency personnel on the ground floor

After the last visit, everything regarding my ear was taken care of in 2 hours after waiting, I was relieved, I found the advice nice, the nurses were fair, treatment was fine! If the hospital stay was 5 euros, there would be no star deduction 🙂

Was on ward 34. The nurses and nurses were very professional and always tried to please everyone. Despite some not so nice patients, always friendly. Of course the doctors are also great.

I went for the operation with Dr. Voss decided. He took a lot of time for me (listens and is very competent. You feel like you're in good hands with him. The entire gynecology ward is very nice and helpful. I'm very grateful that I found such great support . Best regards

Was transferred from another hospital. After a short wait my doctor start preparing for the surgery and was shifted to room. Staff is highly qualified and supportive.

My daughter (12 years old) and I had to visit the emergency room on Thursday. Rarely have I met such nice sisters and carers. The ENT doctor who treated my daughter was absolutely professional and friendly! The emergency room in “my” city (Düsseldorf) can learn a lot. We felt well looked after all around. Thanks for that. Today, I visited the hospital in emergency department and the staff was amazing. They took my blood pressure, blood test and then ECG. Then they have medications as well and providing me the best of the services. Really happy to be taken care by the staff and doctor.

everyone I met at the Brustzentrum is very lovely and friendly. good experience with the biopsy and ultrasound. all can communicate in English very well.

This was my first experience with a hospital in Germany for a planned operation, and it was overall a pleasant one. My German is not great, but the nurses were patient with me, and the doctors all spoke English. The food was fine and the caretakers were all friendly.

Ich gehe nicht gerne in ein Krankenhaus, aber die 2 Tage in der Augenstation 10 waren sehr gut zu ertragen. Ärzte und Schwestern waren alle sehr kompetent und freundlich. Mein Aufenthalt war sehr gut durchorganisiert. Hier greift ein Rädchen ins andere. Viele Grüße an das nette Team.

Hospital is rarely a nice time but the staff here is amazing, sweet, helpful and attentive.

Very good experience and I was surprised by the high number of young and very professional doctors (there is always one or two doctors making exception but overall a good experience).

It's a beyond awful place. I went in, dying of illness, and they took blood and told me to wait for the results. I waited for 4 hours for the results to come out and for the doctor to prescribe me medication. But no one told me the results and I couldn't even see or talk to the doctor. Well, he was taking care of more urgent patients. Shame on you. Maybe you remember Murat Harman.

Despite being treated by a senior doctor, my mother, who suffers from dementia, not only fell into delirium in general surgery in July 2021 due to a series of sloppy things, she was also left lying there for three days, and various doctors tried 5-10 different psychotropic drugs (a malpractice in dementia delirium). before she was transferred to a non-specialized psychiatric ward, where she was then left to die after 10 days of minimal therapy. The management of the SGK banned me from entering the building and gave me a lot of slander, without anyone ever getting an objective picture. Luckily my mother survived. Today she is fine again.

Eye clinic. Make an 84 year old woman wait 4 hours. When we asked, we were told that a gentleman had already been waiting for 6 hours and that he was 55. From this I concluded that if you were 24, you would be waiting for 2 days.

I've been sitting in the emergency room for 7 hours and the specialist doctor has every important appointment or an emergency operation. These statements and the incompetence of the employees are ridiculous!

Unfriendly staff and waiting times that are too long.

My girlfriend has some food allergies and these were not taken into account at all! Why was she asked 10 times what kind of intolerances she had? You weren't even allowed to put the food I cooked for her in the fridge: that meant she always had to wait until 2 p.m. before she could eat something for the first time. The rooms and especially the showers are not hygienically clean. With a few exceptions, the staff was extremely unfriendly. I don't recommend hospitalization for anyone here.

Schlimmstes Krankenhaus! Ich war heute 5 Stunden (Wartezeit sollten 3-4 Stunden sein) in der Abteilung für HNO ohne ranzukommen, weil die aber um 18 Uhr schließen, wurden alle Patienten runter in die Notaufnahme geschickt. Dort konnte mir keiner sagen, wie lange die Wartezeit noch ist. Der HNO wurde noch nicht gesehen, hat man mir an der Anmeldung gesagt. Danke für nichts! Überhaupt nicht zu empfehlen!!!

Like many, staff is limited. They do give a great effort. Food definitely needs improvement. Add same flavor. Docs were mostly pleasant.

gutes Krankenhaus, nettes Personal außer eine einzige Pflegekraft die katastrophal drauf war! ;) angemessene Wartezeit. Krankenhaus leider sehr alt und betten teils verschmutzt, Toiletten werden mit 8 anderen Patienten geteilt.. sonst alles ok.

Had to visit the emergency room yesterday. Long waiting time. Nobody can do anything about that. And as the unrest grew, the best and nicest doctor in the world picked me up for treatment. So happy and humorous in the middle of the night. Thank you, Dr. Bald!

Two nurses who were there today were extremely rude and insulted my family. You need 1000 witnesses to say they are nurses. I had to rip out the IV myself and leave. Stood there in the waiting area for 2 hours. Afterwards I was left waiting in the room with an infusion. I'm in extreme pain and I'm being told why don't you go to the family doctor beforehand, even though my pain has only become extreme today. Then they don't even look at what's wrong with me and only gossip about the people accompanying me.

Here you are completely overwhelmed. Nobody knows what the other is doing. The staff is least to blame for this. It's probably more due to management and cost pressure. I've been there a week now and the problem is still the same. I didn't want to go to this facility from the start, but my standard hospital, Martin Luther, no longer had any beds available. I'm definitely not an Anscheyzer, but you should be allowed to express your opinion.

Big praise from the Sankt Gertrauden Clinic. I was approached by Dr. Voss, a very competent and sensitive doctor, who also took a lot of time after the operation for the detailed discussion that followed. Kudos also to the anesthetist and anesthesiologist. The same goes for the nice nurses in the recovery room. A very warm team. I would also like to thank the very kind sisters on ward 23 who, despite their hard work, tried to fulfill every wish and were always polite and friendly. I can only recommend this hospital.

Was operated on four times in 12 years in the ENT department because of persistent ear problems. Every time the entire staff was super nice and accommodating, the nurses seemed relaxed and enjoyed their work, and the doctors also took the time to explain everything to me. If again then only this hospital

As German isn’t my first language and I was not in my home country I was very nervous and overwhelmed. I stayed three nights and had surgery on my stomach, and all of the doctors and nurses couldn’t have made me feel more safe or relaxed. Everything was so efficient from the moment I arrived until the moment I left. I am eternally grateful for the kindness I received from staff and how comfortable they made me feel🥰

The doctors are certainly doing a great job!! But the administration is a disaster!!! It's ok to plan more time for a small operation!! But pulling strings to have to waste more than 2.5 hours here is outrageous!!!!
