At first, we couldn’t believe the 5-star rating, but just one visit was enough to convince us of their pure excellence and authenticity. Incredibly well-prepared food, perfectly executed steak, the octopus is fresh and perfect - a must try if you love seafood. A very rare gem of a place, better than many places we’ve been to in Italy - and a must visit if you’re in this neighborhood. But definitely reserve a table first, as it’s a lovely small place. Nice open kitchen, extremely friendly service. Definitely coming back.

The best Italian restaurant in Berlin--and that's not hyperbole. There's no fixed menu: the owners tell you what's available that evening and then work their magic. The food is delicious and not too expensive, the staff friendly, and the place *very* small but cozy. Highly recommended.

Orlando (the chef) is amazing! Best thing I would recommend is that you tell him what you like and don’t like and ask him to surprise you with the rest. He speaks English and German.

Wir standen erst kurz davor bevor wir reingegangen sind, da wir uns nicht sicher waren ob es das Restaurant von den Fotos war. Das A'marina wirkt von außen unscheinbar, aber das täuscht. Drinnen erwartet einen ein kleines liebevoll eingerichtetes Restaurant. Das von Mutter und Tochter geführte Restaurant ist ein echter Geheimtipp. Der Service ist super. Das Essen ist sehr lecker und wird dazu noch wunderschön serviert. Hier merkt man an jeder Ecke die Liebe zum Detail. Wir kommen hier jetzt öfter her.

The food was Super tasty and fresh we loved everything and very friendly staff it’s just one of the best or the best restaurants that I was at in Berlin. Also they gave us a super tasty gift of one of the best mussels I have ever eaten.

A‘ marina ist unser Lieblingsrestaurant geworden. Endlich ein Restaurant, bei dem wir sagen können, dass es unser neues Stammlokal wird. Tolles authentisches italienisches Essen, welches mit ganz viel Liebe und Leidenschaft gemacht wird. Der Service ist top und man fühlt sich einfach nur wohl und immer herzlich willkommen 🙏. Von der Karte kann auch einfach alles bestellt werden, weil jedes Gericht sehr lecker ist. Die Möglichkeit im Sommer draußen zu sitzen, bringt dann nochmal mehr ein Urlaubsfeeling auf.

A little, very authentic place with fantastic food. The recommended wine was perfect! All food was fresh, tasty and delicious. The warm welcome made us feel like a part of the family. We'll be back soon🙂

As someone already said in the comments, here you can spend some unforgettable evenings. First, the food is amazing. I had goat cheese and a triangular shaped pasta filled with a cheese which resembled ricotta, but soft and perfectly creamy. Even the temperature of the food was perfect. Second, the restaurant is super cozy and the owner creates such a pleasant environment that everyone starts to talk with each other. Such a lovely experience. Something that warms your heart.

Mehrfach sind wir vorbei gefahren. Nun haben wir es schon 2 mal ausprobiert. Sehr herzlich aufgenommen und kulinarisch verwöhnen lassen. Wirklich eine Bereicherung in der italienischen Küche. Dearest Reader, this might just become my final review on Italian Restaurants in Berlin - ever. Why? Because I can not imagine, that I will be able to ever go somewhere else, if that craving for true italian cuisine hits me. If you go here, please do not expect the usual-run-of-a-mill-pizza-parlor, you will be instead welcomed into the kitchen of Orlando and his wife Petra and be treated less like a guest, but more like a family member or a friend coming to a visit. In my wildest dreams, beeing a hobby cook, I have imagined about opening up a place similar to this one. Just one small show kitchen, a very limited seating and a direct interaction with the guests, making them feel less like customers, but giving them the opportunity to unwind and relax. To food that was served to us was superb! We started off with a serving of Bruschetta in two variations. The classic ones with tomato and a more special one with caramelized onions and burrata. This to me was the moment, when I knew that I had found something special. The caramelized onions were cleverly mixed up with raisins, and were done to perfection. The crispy bread, the smoothness of the burrata, the mild but effective seasoning. The star(s) of the evening though was still to come! My girlfriend ordered her favorite dish: Arrabbiata. We tried this at so many restaurants all over the world. But this was it. Just the right spicy punch in the sauce, well balanced with peccorino. Made fresh, from scratch like everything in this kitchen. We were so amazed, that we also ordered desert (Panna Cotta with Blueberrys) and finally topped it off with an espresso and two servings of limoncello (also homemade, and to me best summarized as "sex-on-the-tongue"). So how else to say it: Thank you Petra, thank you Orlando for letting us in, for sharing your talents and love and for what will be an evening to remember, and to repeat, over and over again - in what truly is Berlins, if not Germanys best italian restaurant. I bow to you!

A'Marina is a piece of Italy in Berlin. I was seated outside on a lovely terrace. The food was amazing; Orlando prepared mussels precisely as we do in the south of Italy. Agnolotti with truffle and Parmigiano creme simple delicious. Orlando put his passion into the food, and you can feel it and taste it! Orlando is very friendly and makes you feel at home. Our main complain is the overstretched rating of this place by google. It is rated as 5 (for unclear reason) while the quality of the food is below 4, in our opinion. The stuff is friendly and the place is intimate but overall the food is an unsuccessful interpretation of the Italian cuisine. Google people should deeply look into their ranking procedure since we followed it and it was highly misleading and disappointing

Best Italien Restaurant in Berlin? Somehow Been here thrice, each time was special. The food is incredible. Flavorful. Authentic. No gimmicks, just amazing.

Best Italian meal I have had in Berlin. The place is small, so call ahead to make reservations. Orlando, the chef, came out to greet us and give us some suggestions for our meals. We loved everything he brought us. From the starters, to the mains, the gnocchi for our daughters, the desserts and the home made lemoncello, everything was perfect and to die for. Best. Meal. Ever. And everyone there is so incrediby freindly, down to earth and gracious. Do yourself a favour and go.

Absolutely wonderful place. Orlando kept surprising us with his sparkling creativity: high quality ingredients, all well balanced and great atmosphere around.

Hadn't planned to eat out there. Good idea to go for the Risotto and to finish with the Tartufo. Quite different compared to other restaurants in Steglitz. Great food and reasonably priced. Nice to sit outside facing the cemetary.

This has to be the best Italian restaurant in Berlin. Orlando is really fun and caring. The salmon and truffle pasta are simply to die for. After my meal I was knocked into food coma. My taste buds are still tingling and I am gonna come back soon.

Food was amazing (we didn’t have drinks). Sat on the terrace, which has a nice and calm setting. Orlando, the owner, is a fantastic host, very attentive and humble at the same time. Good place for small children, too, as the terrace can be closed off from the street. We’ll be back.
