    So far there are 4 stars, I continuously update my experiences. A big negative point is the availability by telephone. A big plus point is the friendliness of the team on site. I stayed here on April 20th. Have a PRK done (both eyes at the same time, approx. -3.5 diopters beforehand). 2500 euros for the whole story, 180 euros deposit for the 2nd preliminary examination and I can finance the rest with 0% financing over 24 months. That's a great offer, especially given the local expertise! Since I couldn't tolerate the painkillers, which is probably nothing unusual, the whole thing was quite painful, but I already knew that. I was completely dependent on help for around 60 hours, for example putting ointment on my finger, which I was then able to put on my eyelid. I could hardly open my eyes for the first 60 hours, not because they were "sticky" like you hear from others, but because it was so painful. I didn't see anything particularly sharp anyway. On the third day the pain was mostly gone. Still, my eyes felt cold when I opened them. I was just extremely sensitive to light, despite wearing sunglasses and even though it wasn't very sunny, so I only opened my eyes when necessary. E.g. for a short walk. Directly after sunrise or sunset are not suitable because of the flat sun. Not before sunrise or after because car lights and street lights were too blinding, even though I was wearing sunglasses. So it's best to do it about 1-2 hours before sunset or when it's as cloudy as possible. On the 4th day I worked again, which was perhaps sporty and it was pretty tiring, but it worked. However, the glare was sometimes unpleasant, for example when facing the window or when colleagues turned on the lights. Working on the computer was also very tiring. But then I could slowly see better and better and became less sensitive to glare every day. The second follow-up examination was on the 7th day and the doctor was amazed at how quickly it healed. He said that with PRK it probably even heals better/faster in some cases than with Femto-Lasik (with the flap), except that you have a lot more pain at the beginning and it takes a few days until you can see halfway properly. On the 7th day I drove a car for the first time after my vision was good with 80-100% visual acuity. Of course only with sunglasses. My nearsightedness (for working on the monitor or reading small text on my cell phone) wasn't that good until then, but after 10 days my nearsightedness was great again. Now after almost 3 weeks, I still often have dry eyes despite eye drops and Bepanthen eye ointment. I think the dryness is the main reason why my vision is sometimes not as great as I would like. But this is probably specifically related to the dryness and will get better in the coming weeks. By the way, with the cortisone drops you should be careful not to be exposed to too much sun, the pharmacist told me. Since I still need sunglasses when it's sunny anyway, hopefully it's ok... My night vision is ok, but I don't (yet) have the depth of field that I would like that I used to have with glasses. During the day the sharpness isn't quite at 100% yet, I guess, and at night it's a little worse, maybe closer to 80%. But the vision is now much better than before without glasses and I can now get by completely without glasses. Nevertheless, I hope that the vision will get (significantly) better in the coming weeks and that the eyes will feel less "weird". :) I'll get back to you after my three-week checkup. Update after just over 6 months: Lasermed has now informed me that they intentionally corrected me to -0.5 so that I don't need reading glasses too quickly. Heute dann die Krönung: ich hatte eigentlich für Mitte Dezember einen Termin, sollte jedoch aufgrund von Beschwerden heute schon vorstellig werden (logischerweise hatte ich auch über meine nach wie vor vorhandenen Probleme seit dem Lasern berichtet). Nach einer Stunde Wartezeit (okay) kam ich dann ins Zimmer zu Frau Dr Phalitzsch. So eine Behandlung habe ich noch nie erlebt! Von Anfang an wurde mir vermittelt, wie unerwünscht ich in dem Moment war. Auch wenn heute viel los war, so eine Art und Weise ist unter aller Sau. Auf meine eigentlichen Beschwerden wurde gar nicht erst eingegangen, sie fragte zwar nach meinen Problemen seit der Laserung, wollte die Antworten dann jedoch gar nicht erst hören, unfassbar. „Ich solle mich nicht so haben und zur Not auf eine Brille zurückgreifen“ - „ach kommen sie…“ …. Ihre Aussagen. Am Ende fragte ich noch, ob denn auch meine Glaukom-Prophylaxe damit abgeschlossen sei, da schließlich mein Augendruck gemessen wurde und ob ich dann auf den Termin in einer Woche verzichten könne. Auch hier reagierte sie genervt, sie habe keine Zeit sich darum zu kümmern, ich solle dies bei einem anderen Augenarzt checken lassen (mir wurde beim letzten Mal gesagt, ich solle nicht zu einem anderen Augenarzt gehen) und sie habe keine Zeit in den Terminkalender zu schauen, ob eine Glaukom- Prophylaxe beim nächsten Termin anstehe! Eine Unmenge von Patienten werden von einer Wartestation zur nächsten geschleust, die Mitarbeiter wirken sehr gestresst und unter Druck bis zur Unfreundlichkeit. Leider entsprach das Ergebnis meiner Grauen Star Operation gar nicht meinen Erwartungen. Ich sah danach deutlich schlechter als vor der Erkrankung, nämlich nun sehr verschwommen anstatt trübe. Insbesondere die mehrmalige Auseinandersetzung mit den Ärzten nach den OP´s und meiner kritischen Nachfrage macht fassungslos. Man wird regelrecht abgekanzelt, nach Bedarf auch gern ironisch nicht ernst genommen. Man wird behandelt wie ein dummes Kind, was gesagt wurde ist auf einmal nicht mehr wahr oder was man denn wolle, man sehe doch gut. Dass das nicht der Fall ist, wurde von meiner Augenärztin wie auch letztendlich vom Arzt der Klinik bestätigt. Angeblich wäre ich aber der Beratung nicht gefolgt. Das ist Quatsch. Man hatte mir in der Vorbesprechung, die ähnlich gehetzt durchgerattert wurde wie der Gesamtbetrieb, gesagt, dass ich für die Weite keine Brille benötigen würde, wir bei ca. bei 90% anlangen. Sonst wurde mir nur noch empfohlen, eine Blaufilterlinse mit je 160€ Zuzahlung zu wählen anstatt die Standardlinse. Alle anderen Linsenoptionen wurden ausgestrichen, was mich nicht wunderte, da ich sie ja offensichtlich nicht brauchte. Besprochen wurden sie nicht. Jetzt heißt es, ich hätte sie abgewählt, obwohl ich sie gebraucht hätte. Ich habe selten erlebt, dass mir jemand das Wort so im Munde verdreht hat, noch nie hat ein Arzt sich so im Ton vergriffen, ins Lächerlich-Ironische oder ins Aggressive. Interessanterweise widersprachen sich die verschiedenen Ärzte in den Diskussionen auch und gaben mir jeweils andere Begründungen und Lösungsoptionen. He seemed really accusatory when it came to the regeneration after the operation and prolonged absence from work, said that my employer had no reason to pay me in full when I wasn't working full time, that the eye muscle operation was only for aesthetic purposes and Yes, I managed without surgery for 29 years. The best thing: I should go to the family doctor for a longer sick leave and say that I have a fever and that if I'm absent for too long, I'll lose my job anyway. Meine Sehkraft lag mit Kontaktlinsen bei 160% und 8% ohne Sehhilfen. Nach der OP ist eine Sehkraft von 70-85% ohne Sehhilfe angestrebt. Das hängt von einigen Faktoren ab und wird in der Vorsorgeuntersuchung und im Beratungsgespräch erklärt. Bei 70% Sehkraft ist das Führen eines PKW ohne Sehhilfe möglich! Der Eingriff mit Wartezeit, Vorbereitung usw. dauerte ca. 45-60 Minuten. Anschließend wurde ich nach Hause entlassen. Nach dem Eingriff erfolgten einige Nachuntersuchungen. Nach dem Eingriff darf man ca. 3-4 Wochen keinen Sport treiben.

Ich habe extra gefragt, was mit meinem Termin ist, da wurde nur gesagt das halt alle warten müssen.. Da ich nicht bereit war, noch länger zu warten bin ich dann einfach wieder gegangen.. Also, mehr als 1 Stunde (mit Anfahrt) verschwendete Lebenszeit. Da bekommt wohl jemand anderes die Chance.
